Zen Micro Firmware Upgrade 1.01.03: Problems when Downloading and Installing the Upgr
Yesterday I downloaded the new firmware upgrade .0.03 to my computer without problems. I then attempted to open the upgrade and initiate transfer to my Zen Micro unit through my USB 2.0 cable. I kept getting a dialog box, informing me that there was an interference problem... So I shut down my Norton anti-virus and my Zone Alarm firewall, and tried again, and again, and again. I was unable to initiate the transfer program...
I was about to contact you this evening for advice, but I decided to first switch my USB cable to another connector and try one more time. Surprise! It worked... A rather long connection, but the upgrade is now in my Zen Micro unit, just where it's needed...
I've had my USB cable connected to what I believe is a USB 2.0 connection on my computer, and I often see the "not connected" dialog box. Each time this happens, I disconnect the cable from the Zen Micro unit, then reconnect it... Bells and whisltes sound, and I'm connected again, until a few minutes later I get the "not connected" dialog box yet again... Is this a normal procedure?
Now, tonight I plugged the USB cable into what I've always considered to be a slower USB connection point... Mybe that's why the transfer took so long? But it stays connected indefinitely... no "not connected" dialog box.
I've been having other transfer problems through the USB 2.00 connection point. I downloaded 23 tracks to my Zen Micro yesterday afternoon, and three of the tracks didn't make it... Frustrating as hell...
I'd appreciate any comments from my peers, since everyone here has more experience than me...

Try turning off the Media Sniffer feature from MediaSource and try updating the firmware again.

On my Ipad I seem to be having a problem when trying to play YouTube videos embedded on Facebook.
When I click the links, I get a message saying: "Flash Player upgrade required."
and under it, it says, "You need to download and install the lastes version of Adobe Flash Player to view this content"
and also a green button saying "Get Flash Player"
I get this if using chrome or safari .
I can go direct to YouTube it just works.The Facebook link to the video is accessing an Adobe Flash video. Unfortunately, no iOS devices can play flash.

After I downloaded and install the latest iTunes software upgrade (to 10.5.1), I am no longer able to download free upgrades to the apps on my iPhone or iPad.
The App Store just says I "don't own the major versions", which of course is nonsense. It seems as if Apple's iTunes/App Store has deleted my download history. Any suggestions?

BruceActually It doesn't. It says he's on a MacBook. I don't know all the different types of Macs. I was having a ton of problems with iChat. I opened DMZ to my computer, knocked down all firewalls etc and left everything exposed, still with bad results. A few weeks ago my power supply went out on my D-Link. I bought a linksys. Since I'd left all firewalls off I figured it couldn't be the router. I power cycled everything n the netork, still no luck. Today I bought a universal Power supply and started up my D-Link Router. Everything worked perfectly. My wifes computer - a laptop running Tiger worked fine with the Linksys and did my machine before the Leopard upgrade. Now that I've got the D-Link online everythings working.

I cant seem to download and install the latest iphone software update. I have tried since the release and have been unsuccessful on more than 7 occasions and lost all the data on the process. Anyone have that problem an how do I fix this problem?

Thanks but I have tried doing the above - when I said 7 times I was modest, its more like 15 times.
And I am referring to the 5.1 software update. I dont have wifi so I guess I will have to try that seeing that my husband also has the same problem - he has also tried downloading several times. It always times out en says that the connection is lost but yet there are always an internet connection and a decent signal once it stopped. Think it said error 32052 or something!
I am disappointed because the update includes inprovement on the battery life - did you guys notice any difference? -
I downloaded and installed the: Mac mini EFI Firmware Update 1.6 on my mac mini running 10.8.1, was I correct in doing this ?
I didn't see this update come up in "Software Update"
If I was not meant to install this update, would it cause ANY damage at all to my mac ( this is my second as I dropped the first )
If I were to re-install ML would this fix any errors that this may have caused ?
The bottom of the page I link to says:

What does the additional "B" mean?

It's somewhere between almost impossible & impossible to install the wrong EFI Update with all the checks it does!

Hey Guys. I have a 1st gen dual 2.3 powerPC G5. I just recently upgraded my OS to Leopard 10.5. I cannot for the life of me, get FlashPlayer to work. I Downloaded and installed the archived 10_1r102_64 version, but it still doesn't work.
Everytime I click on a video it says I need to update to the newest version of flash, but my computer doesn't support the updated version. So I feel like I'm in a Catch-22.

[Zen Micro] Firmware upgrade has bloc
Hi,
I'm upgrading my Zen Micro firmware from ..0 to 2.2.02 version right now, but it looks like the process has stuck. My processor seems not to be working, the progress bar is no more advancing and the arrows on my player are white. There's a message on the window that says "Rebooting your player. Please wait." But nothing actually happens. What should I do? If I plugged off my player, can I cause it any damage? Should I restart the upgrade? As the 'Close' button is available for clicking, I can assume the process is stoppable and its terminating shouldn't cause damages... can't I?
Please, help me.

hauntedAnd no software will acknowledge mine since I stupidly upgrade to the 2 level firmware. I've been on a three-week merry go round with email customer service...they've even had me go into the registry of my computer (yikes!) but no solution.

Background: our desktop computer started shutting off sporadically. I researched the problem, reset the memory chip, checked battery voltage on the motherboard (it was okay), resinserted the battery and tried to boot. It started up successfully and connected to the internet via our DSL line. FF had trouble opening pages due to security certificates so I checked to see if upgrades were available (3.6.8 was) and I downloaded and installed it. After that it refused to work. Apparently a setting somewhere got changed but I don't know what it might be. The DSL connection works with other computers which are wireless (the desktop has a hard connection.) Operating system is Windows XP. Other browsers do not work.

recently I did have to change back to Windows XP, since I was having problems running some old stuff that I have and I need to run it.
The laptop has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400, and I have installed the Windows XP 32 Professional, so I have downloaded the correct drivers but when im installing them I get an error that say or the driver isnt for my Windows or isnt for my Hardware aka Graphic Card :(
Since I like games I would like to have the lasted driver install on the Laptop so I can play them whitout any problems, but I cant install the last driver for it.

Ive read your post and one question about I am curios is: Where did youve downloaded the graphics driver? From the ATI homepage??
If yes, then I can tell you: the drivers from there would NEVER work since you have a special mobile chipset and not a desktop graphics card.
In such case (if you want to have the latest drivers) you will have to visit:

because there and ONLY THERE you can get some modified drivers which will run on your mobile system. But install them on your own risk!!

Zen Micro Firmware Upgrade 2.00
when i try to upgrade the firmware on my player to 2.00.2 it starts off alright then stalls on the "player is rebooting, please wait" message and it never gets any further i ahve uninstalled all the creative media source software as apparently that can course problems with the auto detect feature.
Any ideas on how to get this firmware on my player as i would like it and every time i try it it wipes all my tunes off and have to reload them again.

It's fine, USB 2.0 devices are compatible with USB . (which is what you have), the transfers will just be slower.
Also, if you want your Micro to transfer much faster, get a USB 2.0 PCI add-on card (AVOID CARDS WITH THE ALi CHIPSET!), install it and plug the Micro into there instead. You can find such cards for under $5 in stores, or even for $ + S&H on eBay. -
ZEN Micro Firmware Upgrade prob
I am trying to upgrade the firmware on my ZEN Micro to make it compatible with my new Vista computer. I have the proper firmware ready to install, using an XP computer (with the latest Zen Micro driver), but I need to offload all content from my ZEN first, otherwise it all goes bye-bye. The problem is, the files on the ZEN won't drag and drop to my XP hard dri've. My only choices are "delete" and "properties."? Music files in other locations happily relocate wherever I want them. What's keeping the ZEN from letting me offload my music?
Hi all !I changed the hard dri've?of my zen micro because it died.Also I haven't got the firmware anymore and I don't know where to find another one so I ask you if it is possible to make a copy of your hard dri've tu put it on my. I really need this copy to go on my zen micro. Please I'm becoming mad because of this little program I haven't got anymore. Hi, have upgraded the firmware on my Zen Micro to v2.2.02. SInce the upgrade Zen Micro Media Expolrer will no longer work, as it says it in uncompatable with the device.
