Zen Micro picture doesn't appear for Windows browsi

In "My Computer", normally a picture of my Zen Micro appears when I plug it in, and I can browse what is on it through Windows Explorer. It doesn't show up now, though, can you please help?

Sounds like your iPhone is locked to your home carrier.
See if they offer unlocking and if you qualify. Otherwise,
there is nothing you can do besides rent/but a cheap

Zen Micro: Computer doesn't recognize dev

i installed the zen micro software, media source, and also windows media player 9 from the plays for sure easy start up cd. i hooked up my player, and it started to charge. later on that day i opened up the zen micro media explorer and was told that the device was not connected, so please connect it. so anyone, please tell me if u know a way to fix this. it sounds to me like i'm missing software or a driver of some sort, but i don't know exactly what i'm missing. oh, not that it should be of any concern, but i am using windows 98 SE

I am having the same problem--- almost. I am using windows 98 SE with my Zen Micro... I downloaded drivers and firmware and can add songs to the device through the MusicMatch Jukebox program... but the device is still not recognized by the Zen Media Explorer. It says the device is not connected.
That means I cannot create playlists or sort music. When I add songs to the device through Musicmatch Jukebox, it just puts all the songs on one list, even if I try to create playlists through the Musicmatch.
I tried to download the Windows Media Format 9.5 runtime... but thos quickfixes didn't work.
What can I do? I may need very specific steps to sort this out.

Make sure that you have enabled (checked) Advanced Tools in the General tab under the iMovie menu item "iMovie>Preferences".
Also, a Picture-in-Picture (PIP) can be inserted only into clips in a project - not clips in an Event.

Application Restart and Recovery APIs doesn't work for windows services

I am using the Application Restart and Recovery mechanism (provided in Windows API Code Pack for Microsoft.NET Framework) to collect some information (i.e. stack information when there's an unhandledexception) before my windows service crash down.
It works well for windows form applications, but the callback method wouldn't be called if the host is a windows service.

But it doesn't specify clearly whether it works for a windows service. It seems that the recovery will only be activated when the user interacts with the error dialog of Windows Error Reporting (clicking "close" on the dialog, for example).
So I am wondering is my guess right that the Application Restart and Recovery mechanism doesn't work for windows services. Or is there a better way to meet my requirement?

I would suggest trying ARR if that's what you want to use. The restart portion won't work, but it doesn't need to as if you fail out of your service, the Windows service controller will handle recovery (up to and including restarting your service).
You configure those recovery actions either through code or one of the built in administrative tools for services such as services.msc.
DebugDiag/ADplus and similar tools ultimately do use built-in APIs; you don't need to add anything external to collect debugging information. You do however have to write a good deal of code to do somethings. It's pretty simple to use the unmanaged
function that I pointed out before and
MiniDumpWriteDump to write a minidump when you hit an unexpected error(the dbghelp.dll that comes installed with Windows has it so you don't need anything additional installed). You can even write a basic debugger that literally debugs a process using
only kernel32 functions (see

Results of sending Zen Micro with blank LCD in for repa

I was wondering if anyone who has had the blank or defecti've LCD problem with the Zen Micro has sent it in for repair? I've had mine longer than 3 months but less than a year and am wondering what its going to happen if I pay the initial $25 and send it in. How much is this likely to cost total, and what will the result be? Thanks a million!!!

Assuming you're from the USA, then you should only pay US$25, which is the standard fee for replacing the player.

when i started my zen micro photo the logo creative appear and the screen didn't change anymore. I Try to shut it down but all the button aren't responding. I plug it to my computer nothing change. Then I remove the batterie now the screen is black and I can't start it.
What should I do?

Sounds like your database is corruptor the dri've itself is failing & you'll need to format the drive to be able to use the player. Unfortunately you won't be able to recover what's on the player. If you have the wallcharger use it to charge the battery. If that battery is the battery is more than 3yrs. old I would recommend purchasing a new one as the life span is about to that limit. The MicroPhoto will run off AC power without a battery.

Help with zen micro! songs not appearing in creative mediasorce organiz

ok i decided to add a few songs to my zen micro and found out when i go to the mediasource organizer it woulden't detect my music! is my mp3 player corupt? i have even tried finding my music in windows exploror but that wont even detect it shows up blank but my mp3 player plays my music just fine. why!?

i tried installing from windows/INF and no luck there... the ONLY way it was recognized was when I configured the zen as a 4gig portablestorage dri've and that popped up immediately BUT only as storage!?I've reset it.. done the 'cleanup' stuff.. still no go. My XP install is a standard install, no quicktime and no WMP . what gives?I've looked at all pertinent articles but it doesnt seem like there is one specific fix for this.

Photoshop CC & CS6 doesn't appear in Windows Add/Remove programs

I have 2 versions of Photoshop on my Windows 7 Pro system. CS6 I own outright and I subscribe to CC as part of a larger suite from Adobe. I prefer CS6 and have been trying to associate .TIF files to CS6, but it won't let me. It keeps reverting to CC, no matter what I do. I decided to uninstall CC (even tho I'm paying a monthly fee for it), but the programs do not appear in Windows Add/Remove programs screen. In a search of the registry, I find HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Uninstall a very long list of the program available for uninstall, and buried in some obscure Microsoft VC headings are some Adobe programs. There are no uninstallers in the Adobe program directories, so I can't uninstall these no matter what I try. Neither Dreamweaver or Flash appear in Add/remove either. Is this natural? Is there some problem I'm not aware of? Thanks for any help and info.

Thank you. That solved that problem. I still can't get Windows 7 to associate TIF files to Photoshop. It's associated to it in Bridge, but when I try in Windows control panel, the file shows as being associated to Paint. When I try to change it, Photoshop is not even on the list of available programs. When I Browse to the directory and click Photoshop.exe, nothing happens. The association doesn't change and Photoshop does not appear as a choice. So I have no idea what to try next.

Zen Sync Manager doesn't work with Windows 7

I have a Zen 6GB MP3 player, firmware version .2.03_0.03.0.
I recently upgraded my computer from Windows Vista to Windows 7. Sync Manager (looks like version 6.4.8.0, dated 7/7/2007) worked fine with Vista, and it even worked for a few days after I upgraded, but now it does not recognize that there is a player connected.
Zen Media Explorer still works, so I can drag and drop audio files to the Zen, but this is a bit of a pain. More importantly, I need to find a way to sync organizer (Outlook) data.
I have tried running Sync Manager in various compatibility modes (Vista, XP SP3, XP SP2), but it still will not recognize the player. From something I read in another post in this forum, I'm wondering if I need to uninstall Sync Manager and reinstall it in a compatibility mode? All my other applications work fine with Win 7, so I'm not that familiar with how to use compatibility mode properly.

I tried every which way to solve this problem, and in the end contacted Ctreati've tech support. They advised the following:
"Please be advised that, currently, we do not have Creative Media Explorer (Sync Manager) and firmware updates available for ZEN on Windows 7 OS.
Creative is working constantly on updates for Windows 7 users who are using Creative products. These updates will be deli'vered from time to time on our website. We encourage you to often visit our support site, http://support.creative.com/ and forum page, http://forums.creative.com/ for product updates and announcements."
Frustrating; it looks like a matter of waiting ...
