ZEN MICRO WONT TURN ON HELP PLEASE

<FONT face=Verdana color=#cc33ff>I need help with my Zen Micro...Please!! It wont turn on, It wont charge, It wont work when i plug it into my computer. I contacted the support they want me to send it in but i dont have a receipt or proof of purchase. I bought it from the site is there a way to get my receipt online? Can someone help me figure out the problem without me haveing to send it in? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

What site did you buy it from? You should be able to print off a valid receipt, as long as it's not an auction site like eBay.

    Go into rescue mode and run a disk cleanup.
    If this won't work the player is faulty and you need to get it replaced.

    If it's still within warranty then you won't pay anything (except maybe for shipping, depends on where you bought it from and where you'll send it to, I for instance would pay nothing as the retailer will take on the responsibility of taking it to and from the local Creative service)...
    With that said, the cover over the power switch can be removed very easily, just put the switch to the lock position, use a small flat screwdriver and GENTLY put it between the switch and the cover, then again GENTLY pry it open.
    Then examine the switch carefully to make sure that there's no dirt or anything else that would cause it not to work.
    Do bear in mind that although at this step you technically don't open the player (and thus you don't void your warranty) if you use a thick screwdriver or excess force you may damage the plastic parts and that won't look good if you take it to the service... you know what I mean?

  • Zen Micro wont turn

    Okay, so I am unable to turn on my zen micro! Nothing happens at all when I try to turn it on. When I hook it up to my computer the first page comes up (the one that says Creative), but then it doesn't do anything else. And I can't turn it off once that page does come up, I have to take the battery out in order for it to shut off. Does anyone know what to do about this? Please? I've tried taking the battery out - doesn't work. I've tried the thing where you turn the micro on and then put the batter in - doesn't work. Is there anything else to try?

    ok, look you need to go to:
    www.creative.com/support
    then go to "Contact Customer Support"
    then enter the info needed, then describe the problem that you faced !
    they should respond in like 24 hours or more !
    keep the firmware that you downloaded, and you will be told by the message to how to activate the recovery mode for your player
    my recovery mode was to press the play button for 5 second after i plug it in, after downloading the recovery drivers !
    anyway, you should do whatever they tell you to !

  • Ipod wont turn on help please

    last time i tried to turn it on, the logo came up but was surrounded by blue, not black. now it wont turn on at all and is not read by anything. ive tried the reset several times. still doesnt work. its just off and not responding. can any one help? thanks

    Have you checked your Control Panel to make sure you don't have the flashlight turned on?
    Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and make sure the flashlight icon (bottom left-hand corner) is not white. If it is, tap on it to turn it off.

    I bought a Black 5GB Micro and after about 3 Weeks it froze. After I rebooted it (removing and reinserting teh battery) it stayed stuck on the Creative logo. Going into rescue mode (holding the power button to the left, taking out the battery, reinserting it and then letting go of the power switch) was useless because it would just freeze when i tried n e of the options. I took it back to the store and they gave me a new one, it's been working great ever since.
    So, Short Answer: If rescue mode doesn't work just take it in, it's pooched.

    I have a problem with my Zen Micro not turning on or off. The only way to turn it on is to plug it into the power or USB cable :-(
    I have done a quick search and the posts that I have found on this topic suggest that I will need to send it back to Creative! Anyone found a "magic" solution for this problem other than sending it back?
    I have done a firmware upgrade just in case that would solve the problem but unfortunately it did not.
    What with this problem and the earlier problems I had with battery life I am thinking of sending the thing back and going for a different Creative player. The Zen Sleek seems to have a good range of features ... anyone had any good or bad experiences with the Sleek?
    Any comments appreciated.

    well..unfortunatly i have had this same problem. i made a topic about it and some of u may have read it..i can't seem to find it now. but i have found the resolution to this problem..send it back! i baught my from circuit city..i just got home from there..very nice guy helped me out at the customer service counter. grabbed my receipt,all the contents it origionally included and the box and headed to circuit city. i did exchange the zen micro for another zen micro. we both converstaed with eahochter about how i have heard other ppl complain about this problem. creative needs to do there homework. hopefully it won't happen to me again.

    there is a tiny hole below the on/off switch, use a paperclip to push it to reset it. It shd solve your prob

    This is the second Zen Micro that wont connect to my computer i've tried everything but nothing is working i've tried it on other computers and it still wont work. I just got this replacement today and I don't really want to go back and get another one tomorrow....Please help me..

    Do you have the latest software installed ?
    Also first install the software and then the micro, just to be sure.

    my iphone 5 wont charge I tried everything to turn it back on. It was working one minute but then I went to go use it and it wouldn't turn on, 10 hours later and it STILL won't turn on. It was fully charged, but I charged it some more just in case - didn't work. Then, I plugged it into my computer while holding the home button down in order to update/restore it. It updated but never restored, and after that it STILLLLL won't turn on. I then tried holding the home and lock button down together for a few minutes in order to restart it, yet it still won't turn on. It is getting extremely frustrating at this point. I googled any other solutions to this problem, but all of the solutions I've basically already tried, and ended up never working.

    It would seem to be a power issue as cjlim had indicated.
    I would try another charger and if possible another battery, the E71 battery is used in an N97 as well so if you know someone that has either device you can try theirs.
    If its is working with another battery, then you will need to observe what happens when its connected to the charger, if the battery bars are not incrementing when the battery is low then you either have a charger problem so try a different one, or the charging circuit in the phone has failed.
    I have not seen batteries just "fail" but its something that I wouldn't rule out, additionally the new smaller jack type chargers are prone to failure, as the cable near the plug fractures inside and this can cause charging to fail.

Also when i put an ac adaptor, also blinking "thrice". Nothing appears on screen, but only the battery light keeps blinking everytime i press the power button.     Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Mini 313and having an issue starting up. Here is a link to do a system restore.
    Choose the option that states restoring Windows to a previous point. you can restore it to a previous point when it was working correctly.Please note remove any and all USB devices, and remove memory cards from the card reader slot. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

  • IPOD NANO WONT TURN OFF! PLEASE HELP

    my ipod is 3 days old and wont turn off! i bought it in singapore and i downloaded itunes on the computer in singapore and put songs and pictures on it, and it would turn off. the next day i was on the plane and i was listening to it and i went to turn it off and it wouldnt, i got it off by putting sleep timer on so it automatically went off but i couldnt turn it off by pressing play pause button or menu button. i have tried resetting it but wen you reset it you have to turn it off and i couldnt turn it off. everything else workd fine but it will not turn off!please help me its only 3 days old!!

    The iPod does not need to be turned off to reset it. Here are the instructions for resetting the ipod. If this fails to do the trick you may want to try and do a restore.
