Zen Microphoto Firmware got deleted, Computer wont recognize, NEED HELP!

One day my zen wouldnt boot up, so i went through the maintenence menu and rebooted, cleaned up, and even formatted the hard dri've, but it still wouldnt boot up. I then stupidly went to the reload firmware button. From then on, I have not been able to get the automatic update or the downloaded firmware update to recognize the zen. My computer will recognize it but the update wont. I have scoured the web to try and find an answer to why it wont recognize the player or how to fix it, but to no avail.
If anyone has an idea of what is happening please write me back and let me know. Thank you,Joel

Well got good news!! I got it!!! IT TOTALLY has to do with WMP . But here's the catch. My PC only had WMP 0?but it had upgrades and hotfixes to it. I think somewhere between the original WMP0 and WMP there was a bug. So I plugged it into my husband's computer that had the basic WMP0 and it took like 20 mins. I'm currently installing all my music back on!!?Good luck to everyone!!

Hold down the mouse button or trackpad clicker as you start up.
If no joy, restart and hold the Option key. This brings up the Startup Manager, which will draw an Icon for each bootable Volume. When all are drawn, the Eject key is "live".

HT1349 Just popped a cd into my IMac (10.68) in order to look at some very important images I just had scanned. The computer wont recognize the cd, nor will it eject it. any suggestions? (besides shaking it and throwing it across the room :-)

Computer wont recognize voice commands

I have been trying to calibrate my computer for voice commands, even when I am able to say the command examples and get my voice to the green but try for real my computer wont recognize any or most of my commands in any way either by holding a key down or saying a key word before commanding. I have an oklahoma accent but still my accent is not heavy. Any solutions?

In the Speakable Items window, click on the purple circle w/the black "?" mark in the middle. That is a Help button.
If you do not find a solution on the window that opens, make sure you click on the links at the bottom of the window:

Consider updating your OS to the last Leopard version which I believe is OS 10.5.8. Your current OS is outdated.

Computer wont recognize 2nd generation nano ipod

I have a 2nd generation ipod nano, and my computer wont recognize it. I plug it to my laptop and nothing pops up. i have tried connecting it to another computer but it wont recognize it on that computer either. i have no idea what is wrong with it. Can anyone please help. Thanks in advance.

I've had trouble installing Leopard on my iMac (read this for full details: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1196525&tstart=0)
Long story short, I tried to hook up the iMac to my computer, starting it (the iMac) up in Target Disk Mode, in order to save some files before restoring the hd, but my computer wont recognize the iMac hd when it's connected. Is there any way to save these very important files?

Because the drive might not be the only thing that isn't working, it could be your logic board or something else. Removing the drive will isolate it and allow you to see whether your data is recoverable without having to worry about what else is failing on the iMac.

If the iPad has Activation Lock - that is, it's asking for the previous owner's Apple ID and password to activate the device or to turn off Find My iPhone - then you will need that information. There's no way around it If your father can't remember the password, he'll need to recover it.

If he can't do it via that page, then he'll have to call Apple Support and ask to speak with Account Security.

The iPad is telling you it has entered the recovery mode - you need to follow the instructions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 for connecting to a computer running iTunes by way of the recovery mode.

Computer wont recognize Zen Micro...HE

I got my Zen Micro on 9/2/05..and im already having problems with it. When i first started using it the day that i got it it was working fine. After about 2 days it started freezing. Then yesterday my computer wouldnt recognize it. The confusing thing is that my zen will charge, but im not able to add any more songs to it. I've tried it on 2 different computers and i've also tried uninstalling then installing the software on both...this hasnt helped. please help.

I have Windows XP Home Edition and I updated the Zen Micro drivers on my computer; but it still won't work. What do you suggest?

I decided to flash new firmware to my microphoto. This was the biggest mistake.
I have entered into recovery menu.Select load firmware and bang ! It erased it immediately, no confirmation no choice..Just erased it without asking. This is awful !
So, i didn't care too much for this at that time, because, i have already decided to flash new firmware.
My computer was recognizing microphoto before in media player. I plugged it and nothing..
Now, my computer didn't recognize it.
I tried all recommmendations from here
* It's Windows XP with SP2
* There was WMP, uninstalled it and installed WMP0
* I gave all permissions from registry to USB
Nothing...
I have removed it from Device Manager, and scanned. It's found. Then select the first option to install driver.XP searched and find not signed driver. I have pressed Continue Installation.But it's giving me some error.
While ZMP was working with my system, i mean i was able to transfer mp3s into it's disc, firmware application was still saying "the device is not connected"
How could this be possible ? If it's not connected, how my WMP or Windows explorer could see it ?
Any help appreciated... I want my ZMP back...What can i do now ?

Hello,?I am experiencing the same problem with my MicroPhoto player. One day it froze on me, and since then the firmware has been acting up. It now goes to a "Firmware Problem" screen every time?I turn it on, and after attempting to remove and re-install the firmware 3 times, it has failed to work. Before I purchased the player, I had heard bad things about Creative replacement costs and how the Zen Micro has many problems as well. It looks like our players have lost the HDD and need to be replaced, which I assume will cost more than its worth... The one reason Creative will never beat out the iPod is because of their player glitches and lack of willingness to correct them. Anybody with more information on the hdd dying problem, could you let me know if you managed to send it in, and how much is cost, etc?

Hey all, I am thinking of upgrading to Windows Vista soon, and I was wondering if my ZMP will work with it's because in the firmware details it doesnt say anything about windows vista. Also, if i upgrade, will all the programs on my ZMP disc still work?Thanks for any information, Chris.

Hi...Last week I was using my ZMP for carring information from my old computer to my new computer that has VISTA. Well, it was everthing ok , until when I was errasing the files from my ZMP the light went out in the middle on the process. I erase the OS from my ZEN like it says on the help page.But, when I tried to install again the OS, I got surprised because there was no ZMP compatible with windows vista.My old computer dont recognize de conection of the ZMP, and although when I connect my mp3player to my vista computer it (the ZMP) says in the screen its transfering. When I try to run the instalation of the OS, my computer says that it is no connected. I dont know what to do...So I think ZMP are compatible, but the OS instalation its not.

Creative Zen Microphoto - "Firmware upgrade failed&qu

Hi,
two days ago my Zen Microphoto started in "Recovery Mode".
I had no means of getting out. I first selected "Clean Up" and rebooted, still "Recovery Mode".
Then I downloaded the latest firmware version for it:
ZENMicroPhoto_PCFW_L6__3_0.exe
Then I selected "Upgrade Firmware", acknowledged with "Yes", the firmware was deleted, but the windows firmware application said "no player connected" after connecting the player.
Okay, after googling a bit, I found out that I needed to downgrade from WMP to WMP 0.
I (painfully) did this and after installing an additional Registry Key via fixup.cmd the
ZENMicroPhoto_PCFW_L6__3_0.exe
detected the player (hurray!). It showed "Current Player Firmware Version .20.0 " and "Upgrade File Version .3.0".
When clicking on "Upgrade" at the windows application, the blue progress bar appeared and the player showed "Recovery Mode" and a blinking USB logo.
What it did NOT show afterwards was a gear symbol with "Upgrading firmware" (which I found on a screenshot in the internet).
When the blue progress bar of the windows firmware upgrade application reached about 85% it halted and after minute the windows firmware application showed "Firmware upgrade failed!" while the player only showed a black screen with "Recovery Mode" and the green battery symbol at the top.
I also tried the same procedure with
ZenMicroPhotoP4S_PCFW_LB__20_0.exe with the same result: "Firmware upgrade failed!"
Any ideas how to "repair" the player
