Zen MicroPhoto Power Saving option help!(blank scre

Hey all. I've been searching for about an hour for a way to remove or configure the time before the screen goes blank. Usually it is -2 seconds of inactivity before it goes blank. I can't believe there is no option for that, but it seems so. Many people say it is adjustable though, i don't get it... where the hell do you see this option?I hate it when i'm watching a picture for 0 + sec and it goes blank. I would also like having the beautiful blue light on without having to touch the pad every 0 seconds.

Tranquil,
It is under System - Player Settings - Display Timer. It can be set from 5-30 seconds.

  • Zen microphoto-tried recovery options except 'format all'-what ne

Heya, would really appreciate some help with my zen 8gb microphoto. It goes into recovery mode and will switch on.i've tried cleanup, reload firmware and reboot. I refus to format all,as it took tooo tooo long to put all the data on there. What can i do?This is distracting me from my work...it seems others have had the same problem. So what can be done. Ive also tried downloading firmware through support, and it tells me it has no thing for me to download. Iv tried emailing support, which just gives me troubleshooting options, but no direct contact to an email link.A quick response would be appreciated so i can get on with what im doing. God Bless. Hey, thanks for the response. i tried that and its telling me im not permitted. I think its because im using uni'versity computers. I have a computer at home, but it is quite old and doesnt even recognise my zen let alone this download link youve forwarded. Please, please let me know what i could possibly do and why it is that i need to download the link anyway... To run through my problem again - My zen microphoto suddenly froze. I managed to get it to swith on,but only as far as into the recovery options. I tried doing every option, other than format all, as i dont want my?precios files to get?deleted?to be lost. I cleaned up,reloaded firmware and?reeboted. Nothing has made a difference and my zen wont go past that.

  • Zen Microphoto Problem!! Help plea

Ok, so i've got blue microphoto. It has been working great during a year. But now theres a problem. When i connect it to my computer, and try to move music there with MicroPhoto Media Explorer, it says: "Your player is not connected. Please connect your Creative Zen Microphoto to the computer." But it is connected correctly. It has been working before. I have tried to install the cd few times, but it doesnt help. What shall i do?

    Well. I did this: Start -> Run.. -> devmgmt.msc
Then look for microphoto from the list, then click that update thing up in buttons when u have selected that player. Then look for updates with internet. That program connects to the windows update thing, and finds an update. Its something like that has 3 letters in beginning and first is M.. i mean the updates name. Then it wokrked.

  • T6300 power saving option, can it be disabled?

Just purchased the T6300 system after many happy years with a Creative 2.1 system. BUT I am not at all happy with the "power saving" device built into the T6300 which cuts the speakers off after 15 minutes!!!!
    Whose bright idea was this?
If its supposed to come back on when it detects sound I'm here to tell you that it doesn't!!!!!
Is there a way to disable it because its already driving me nuts?!!!!!
    NOT impressed!!!!

Well after digging around the net it appears that this "feature" cannot be turned off. As a result I intend to dispose of this pile of garbage at the earliest opportunity and seek out a manufacturer with a modicum of common sense.
I can't even take it back as I had spliced in an extension cable to the rear speakers, as the short cable is only suitable for those people that live in a small packing crate, before I discovered this idiotic "feature".
Creative the T6300 is an inferior product and I advise people to avoid it.

  • Power Saving Options on MacBook Pro 13"

    hey guys,
as above. it seems like power options (eg. high performance, maximum battery, .etc) are not present on my macbook. is there anything wrong? what should i do get to get them back? i dont intend to have my notebook running at full speed evertime im using... id rather have longer battery life.
    thanks

On the unibody MBPs with dual graphics cards, those options are the way one switches between the graphics cards. Since your MBP only has one graphics card, it seems logical for those options to be absent.
On my (older) MBP, those options are available in System Preferences > Energy Saver > Optimization pop-up menu, or by clicking on the battery icon in the menu bar - but, all they do is set 'default' times for display and system sleep (e.g. for the Power Adapter, setting to Better Performance sets system sleep to never and display sleep to 20 minutes, whereas Normal sets both sleeps to 10 minutes, etc.). So, 'Performance' has nothing to do with the CPU/GPU in that context.

  • Help, I'm having trouble with installing my new Creative Zen MicroPhoto..can someone help

Okay, I bought my MicroPhoto about a week ago and now I've been making atempts to install it so I can listen to some music. YAY. Well, When I placed the installation CD in that I was told to put in first, my computer wouldn't read it. So, I tried downloading the stuff (aka: the programs that's needed to run with a Windows XP with Service Pack 2) but I got this instead: "Your Player is not Connected, please connect your player." (this is for the firm) Okay, My player, the MicroPhoto, is already connected to my computer and the computer knows its there. When I tried to install the other programs that could be download with Windows XP, I got messages referring that the Windows 2 Service pack was involed with it. My question is...how can I get my MircoPhoto to work on this computer?

I would advise to still double check all your WEB router settings and to make sure it's putting out maximum output and device/signal separation.
Also, try go into all your browser apps on your iPhone (safari/chrome etc.) and clear all cache/cookie/passwords/history
I have iPhone 4S 6.0.1 and never had wifi issues, but I also had just switched ISP's, and went through all of the above. So not sure if I solved the issue before it even came up.  I seem to be getting pretty good speeds and very steady connection.

  • Power saving options in Sol 10

I have a Ultra-10 that used to run headless but I recently put a head on it. Ever since then, it shuts itself off (hibernates) and I can't bring it up unless I press the power key on the keyboard. How do I prevent it from falling asleep? I need to access the machine remotely.
    Thanks! :)

Rename /etc/power.conf (thats what i do in my jumpstart) and/or run
    svcadm disable /system/power
    ..might work?

  • Just Got a Refurb Zen Micro, Can Anyone Please Help - Clic

    Hi all,
Just got a Zen Micro 6GB refurb today, when i first tried it (before hooking upto a PC) the clicker didnt work. I hooked it upto my PC and transferred some tracks, when i disconnected however my device started playing up.
When i turned the device on the screen glowed blue for 5 or so seconds, and then turned off. My first (panicked) thought was that the player was updating its firmware when i had unplugged it, although it didnt mention this anywhere.
What was interesting however was while the device was in this "blue screen" mode, when i scrolled up and down the clicker made a clicking sound, even though i couldnt see what i was scrolling because the screen was dead apart from the backlight. This proved that the clicker did physically work.
I reconnected to the PC in some vein hope of fixing it, and after a couple of on/off cycles it booted, and has worked fine since, however when i set the clicker on it still wont click.
I am interested as to if anyone has any ideas as to how to possibly fix my clicker problem. I know it will physically work as i've heard it click when my device crashed, i reckon a bad firmware flash has stopped my clicker clicking.
Can anyone recommend me a particular firmware please, everyone said to stay away from the latest PlaysForSure firmware on my old Zen Xtra, and apparently it bricked lots of devices, so im a bit apprehensi've about getting the latest release.
If anyone can help me fix my clicker please i would be most grateful as i dont want to send my little player back.
    Thanks!

  • Laptop-mode-tools no power saving

    Hi,
I use laptop-mode-tools for several months and it worked fine, however lately when my laptop runs on battery it seems that no power saving options kick in, since I get a battery time around 1 and half an hour, while it used to be 4 hours.
It may be connected to that I removed initscripts from the system, however laptop-mode.service is enabled and started, journal says events are picked up, laptop-mode-tool modules are loaded, I can see e.g. that cpu freq is cut back, so I'm confused a bit. I spent hours going through the config files and browsing the journal, but I must have missed something.
Please advise where to look or what to check. Thank you.
If you need any log or config file, additional information, please let me know.

Have you tried powerdown? Here's a link to one of their threads.  https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=134109&p=1
    Link to aur = https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=57421

It is just a bunch of scripts written by a forum member.  I just came across it recently as I only used arch on desktop until now.  Fuduntu was boasting their battery life preset on their distro but I find that with these scripts and changing them to your needs, you get far better results.  I have a 9 cell on my asus eee 1005ha getting 11-12 hours of internet browsing and writing.

  • Overclock with power saving states

    Hi
    3770K + MSI Z77A-GD55
I had previously a Gigabyte board and I could overclock my cpu and still enter power saving states automatically lowering multiplier and voltage. But with this MSI board it seems I can only get full OC frequency (4.5Ghz) or I could go with no OC and use turboboost to 3.9Ghz. Is it possible to have 4.5Ghz overclock and also automatic power saving states that lower the multiplier and voltage? Eg 16x-45x multi
I think I have all the power saving options enabled in bios.
    Thank you in advance

I got it running correctly now. Liveupdate installed some outdated bios. Installed manually the newest and now I have turbo multiplier settings for each core in clickbios.
I'll be honest, personally, I would stay away from Live Update.
Nothing against MSI's utility, but I can't tell you how many times we've dealt with issues related to MSI Live Update causing the problem.
    Better to do it yourself.

  • Zen microphoto-computer does not detect it, help ple

I got my zen microphoto for christmas, so i have had it less than a month. a few days ago the screen froze on me while i was looking for music to listen to. i had been listening to it for about an hour or so, the album once done and i went to get somehting else to listen to and it froze. I tried plugging it into the computer and that didn't make a diffrence. i couldn't shut it down, turn the lock on nothing. but it did make noise when touching the arrows and stuff. just didn't do anything. i let the battery go dead. then i plugged it into the computer and charged the battery. when i turned it on i got the page where you can reboot. so i rebooted and that was it. the last option of the four. it rebooted and i could listen to music, battery charges.
I notice when i plug it into the computer the little charge icon is over the battery and flashing and the battery charges but i don' tget the picture of the usb connection to the comptuer that would show up before when i plugged it in. also the computer doesn't make the little noise that it used to either when i plugged it in. zen creative says i need to plug in my device, windows media player doesn't see it either.
i tried reinstalling the creative stuff, turn off the player and take out the battery and all that, and i cleaned it (first option) and then rebooted (last option). i didn't do the two in the middle, reformating and the firmware thing.
if anyone can help me that would be great and much appreciated.
    thanks-alex

snoweagle-you are the best. thank you so much. still wasn't really sure what you are talking about with the SP (service pack) stuff. but i went to downloads for zen micro and there were three options. took the first application download. downloaded it, installed it, restarted my computer...and it works. i have the docked word with the usb icon on my screen and i can open up and edit my music. (haven't tried to import something yet but i'm sure i'll be able to) i didn't know that i had to keep up with the new downloads and such. thank you so much. i was on the verge of tears...thank you and i hope you are around for awhile in case i have other questions. thank you thank you thank you-alex
