Zen microphoto-tried recovery options except 'format all'-what ne

Heya, would really appreciate some help with my zen 8gb microphoto. It goes into recovery mode and will switch on.i've tried cleanup, reload firmware and reboot. I refus to format all,as it took tooo tooo long to put all the data on there. What can i do?This is distracting me from my work...it seems others have had the same problem. So what can be done. Ive also tried downloading firmware through support, and it tells me it has no thing for me to download. Iv tried emailing support, which just gives me troubleshooting options, but no direct contact to an email link.A quick response would be appreciated so i can get on with what im doing. God Bless. Shalom!!!!

Hey, thanks for the response. i tried that and its telling me im not permitted. I think its because im using uni'versity computers. I have a computer at home, but it is quite old and doesnt even recognise my zen let alone this download link youve forwarded. Please, please let me know what i could possibly do and why it is that i need to download the link anyway... To run through my problem again - My zen microphoto suddenly froze. I managed to get it to swith on,but only as far as into the recovery options. I tried doing every option, other than format all, as i dont want my?precios files to get?deleted?to be lost. I cleaned up,reloaded firmware and?reeboted. Nothing has made a difference and my zen wont go past that.
I pray that God will give?you the wisdom to help me!!?A response would be much appreciated. God Bless. Shalom!?

  • Zen MicroPhoto Power Saving option help!(blank scre

Hey all. I've been searching for about an hour for a way to remove or configure the time before the screen goes blank. Usually it is -2 seconds of inactivity before it goes blank. I can't believe there is no option for that, but it seems so. Many people say it is adjustable though, i don't get it... where the hell do you see this option?I hate it when i'm watching a picture for 0 + sec and it goes blank. I would also like having the beautiful blue light on without having to touch the pad every 0 seconds.

    Tranquil,
It is under System - Player Settings - Display Timer. It can be set from 5-30 seconds.

  • Zen Microphoto FM Radio Freezes U

I purchased a Zen Microphoto 8GB last month. Everything seems to work ok except for the FM Radio feature. Anytime I try to scan stations, whether automatically or manually, the unit will freeze and I have to remove the battery to reset it. I have already tried the Clean Up, Format All, Reload Firmware, & Reboot options in that order and nothing has worked. The FM Radio still freezes the unit when I try to scan through stations. Any help regarding this problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I have a 8gb zen microphoto and the same thing happened to me. The first time I tried to use the radio and find a station it froze up on me. I removed the battery and that seemed to solve it. I have not tried since. I do not use the radio much but would like to be able if I wanted too. Thanks so much for these forums. I am a idjit when dealing with computers and electonics and have learned just from reading the message threads.

  • Zen microphoto stuck in recovery mod

Okay, so my zen is stuck in recovery mode. I've tried taking the battery out for hours, and i've tried each option in the recovery mode, all of which do nothing. I've plugged it into my computer and it's recognised, but when i run the Creative recovery tool, it says my zen is not connected and so nothing can be done. I don't know what else to do...
I'm going insane, and getting really impatient. I'm pretty computer illiterate so you'll have to talk dumb to me

Mine is doing the exact same thing. I have tried everything (and, unlike Jellypigs , I am an advanced computer user / system designer/builder).
Whenever I choose any of the options ("Clean up", "format" "Reload firware" "reboot" ) It says that it is doing it, but nothing actually happens (I left it "reformatting" overnight last night and nothing happened). If I try to initiate a firmware reload from the pc (windows does detect the player) the program asks me to plug in the player even though it already is.

  • Zen MicroPhoto or Micro stuck in Recovery Mode? Can't update firmware? Try this

I got these instructions from here:
    http://blog.opsan.com/archi've/2005/09/3/472.aspx
This is the only thing that worked for me to get my broken Zen MicroPhoto up and running again. It was stuck in Recovery Mode and my XP SP2/WMP laptop wouldn't recognize when trying to load firmware or in Creative Media Explorer or WMP.
To Fix any problems with broken firmware form attempted "playsforsure"
firmware updates etc where your pc finds it as a 20mb dri've and it sits
in recovery mode and does bugger all:
    1. Uninstall all creative software & drivers
    2. Uninstall Media Player and Media Player runtime (will require a
reboot for each thing). This is done by going to add/remove programs and
uninstalling (this will put your pc back to wmp0).
    3. Re-install the Zen Driver from the creative website and reboot (I just reloaded Media Explorer using my ZMP install CD).
    4, Plug Zen in.
5, Make sure you have the firmware update ready, run it but don't click
the language bit yet), leave the mouse hovering over your language
selection. (for ZMP, just start firmware exe file, there is no language selection. You can get the firmware update from Creative's site, go to SUPPORT and then DOWNLOADS).
    6. On the Zen- select "reload OS" (on ZMP I believe it is Erase or Reload Firmware, something like that, don't have it in front of me).
    7. As soon as it flashes up "reload new firmware now via USB" click the
    language button
    8. Now the pc should find it and allow you to re-load the
firmware. (it may take a few attempts)
    9. Once complete, click close and restart the pc. Everything should now
    be fine.
    0. Once all is working, you can re-install WMP and it will work fine.
    I hope this helps somebody.

  • I cannot get my Zen MicroPhoto out of recovery m

Hello all,?I really need help with my problem. I have a Zen Microphoto v0.0.65 and it has been in recovery mode for awhile. It has never acted up before and I have not dropped it or anything and treated it as a child because it was a birthday gift from May this year. It was working fine for the past few days and when I was listening to it tonight it stopped playing and froze. When this happens I usually shut it off or take out the battery, wait a few minutes and then place it back in and turn it on and it works. I tried doing this first and it didn't work. I then tried cleaning it out and rebooting it and it didn't work either. I did all of the suggestions on this site but nothing has worked it still turns on and goes right to Recovery Mode and I did every one of the tasks on it and it still doesnt work? I have a Dell labtop with Windows XP and my MP3 has been working fine on it since I got it. If I could have some help fast that would be awesome because it was a birthday gift and it cost my parents a lot I am sure and I would hate to have to spend more money on something that was brand new 7 months ago. Thanks for all your input

    This program may do that:

  • Does HDD Recovery format all the HDD on Equium P200-178

    Hi,
i need to reinstall Vista on my laptop.
The question is: Does the partition recovery option wipes all the data partitions?
Both with os and the other one with data?
Ive been trying to find it out on forum.
Some says that the cd recovery cleans all of the partitions but HDD recovery has the option to format only C partition

    Hi
Well, as far as I know the HDD recovery procedure is the same procedure like the usage of the Recovery DVD.
In both cases the notebook will be set to the factory settings which means that you will get the same data on the HDD like at the first day of purchase
So it should format the HDD and should restore is again using the Toshiba image.
But if you want to know if the second partition will be erased and then created again then store a small file on the second partition and then perform the HDD recovery procedure.
After the OS installation has finished go to the second partition and check if the same file still persist on the second partition.

  • My Zen MicroPhoto goes straight to Recovery Mode and I dont know what to

Hey, I need help figuring out why does my Zen MicroPhoto goes into recovery mode now by itself. I had difficulties with the same issue with a Zen Micro. My Zen MicroPhoto had issues in the past where it would spontaniously restart and rebuild the library. I would one second listen to music on the bus and sit down slowly, then the music cuts and the zen microphoto resets itself. Can I get some help here?! I really dont want to resort to sending it out for repairs unless its a last resort.

Press and hold the Home and Power buttons on your iPhone until it shuts off.
Connect it connect it to your computer with th USB cable.
Press and hold down the Home button.
Hold it it down until iTunes says your device is entering recovery mode.
Now you should be able to Restore using iTunes.

  • I accidentally screwed up my apple id when trying to change my primary email address. Password recovery options and security questions arent working either to restore

I accidentally screwed up my apple id when trying to change my primary email address. Password recovery options and security questions arent working either to restore. Created a new appleid just to get into forums to ask a question but hesitate to sync itunes and iphone with it as i may lose all purchased music apps etc. can anyone help? i have received no email response frm apple support, it's been over 48 hours

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account.  I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there.  On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back.  Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email.  The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

  • My ipod 4G wont go past the apple logo when I turn it on - it will stay on the apple logo for few min, then blanks out and back to the apple logo.  Tried reset option/troubleshoot several times.  Also wont show up on computer at all when I plug in to USB.

Can someone please help with my issue listed - My ipod 4G wont go past the apple logo when I turn it on - it will stay on the apple logo for few min, then blanks out and back to the apple logo.  Tried reset option/troubleshoot several times.  Also wont show up on computer at all when I plug in to USB.
Any tips are very much appreciated.

Place the iPod Touch into DFU mode.  This will be similar to what the factory would do to install the iOS onto new iOS devices.
Placing it into DFU mode will allow you to "format" and install the current iOS for that device.
To place your iOS device into DFU mode.
First connect you iOS device to you computer.
Open iTunes if not already open
Now turn off your iOS device using the power swipe.
Press the home and sleep button on your iOS device for 10 seconds.
Release the sleep button but carry on holding down the home button.  For another 10 seconds.
Your iOS device should now be on DFU.  Click on restore and iTunes will download the latest iOS for your device.
Hopefully that sorts it if not, you will have to go to a service centre or call Apple Care up and get them to collect it and repair it. (replace it)  Or go into an Apple Store.
