Zen mp3 player -- HELP ple

We just opened and began installation and activation this hour. The player is not turning on. My son worked hard to earn money for this player and is in meltdown that it may not be broken. Someone please help me. What do we do?

Once it's been plugged in for a while, if it still doesn't turn on, try pressing the reset button with a paperclip. If it still isn't working, hold down the play button and press reset again, then (still holding play) slide the on switch.
Don't panic though, as even if there is a problem with it, you should find it quite painless to get a replacement.

I am a musician and using a Zen player to play backing tracks when busking. I have read in the help files that you can add lyrics to MP3 WAV files using the lyrics editor and then put them on the Zen that should show them when the tune is played. I have used the Lyrics editor successfully and the lyrics/chords show in Windows Media Player now playing screeen, but when transferred to the ZEN MP3 player they do not show. The help files for the transfer software say you can turn on this feature but reading the ZEN help file I cannot find any reference to this. The only player I was aware of that could display lyrics was the MuVo V00 & 200. I could be wrong about others not having that feature. If you get it worked out please post a "HowTo" on this.

A Creative Zen MP3 Player which can work on Windows 2

Hi,
I am wanting to get a Creative Zen MP3 player (or two) which can work with Microsoft Windows 2000. I want to put a number of podcasts on it as well as some music. Unfortunately my PCs are all Windows 2000 and it is not worth my while upgrading.
Now I think that some of the Creative Zen Micro units used to work on 2000. But later versions after firmware upgrades only work on XP. How can I get the right working units?

You can try to get some old Zen players.All new Zen players need at least Windows XP to work and sometimes even the last service pack. If you know that the Zen Micro works on Windows 2000 with a previous firmware, I think that you can find easily on the web this firmware or simply ask to Creative.

I forgot to charge my Creative Zen mp3 player fully before first using it, and started syncing music onto it while it was charging for the first time. How much damage do you think this would have caused, and is there anything I can do to correct my mistake?Thanks.

I didn't fully charge my player the first time I used it and it works fine. The battery life seems to be on par with everyone else's. Also if you just plugged it into the computer and started syncing music you don't have anything to worry about. Even though you were syncing music you were still charging and not depleting the battery. I think the recommendation means that you don't "use" the player meaning unplug it from your computer with only a half charge and then run the battery out. Anyways, your player will be just fine.

My new Zen 6GB freezes up in mid-40 degree temperatures and won't reset. It just gets stuck, then the battery goes dead, and it wont restart until fully charged again. When it's cold I can't even reboot it with a paper clip. If I leave it in the car for more than an hour the same thing happens. Is this a known problem I never had these problems with the godawful iPod. I can't imagine it's "normal" for it to be unusable outdoors whenI bought the black Creative Zen mp3 player Vision: M (30 GB) back in August 2007, and both discs that came with product are lost, and I need to desperately replace them. I know where the download section on the Creative website is, the problem is that I do not know which two programs came with my player initially, thus I do not know what to download. I'm pretty sure that won't work on a Mac.
Check the install disk, it might say what systems are supported. If not, look at the files on the disk. If they're all named like PC files they're likely for a PC. If the disk has a Mac partition the files will look like they have Mac-style icons and names.
I also note that Macs don't use an 'autoplay wizard'; that's a PC thing.

Hi. I just got my mp3 player and now I'm having problems with turning it on. I've done everything that the usermanual says, but everytime I plug it out from the charger, it won't start. I charged it for 2 hours, like the book says, but it still won't start. Is there someting I can do that the manual doesn't say anything about?

I had the similar experience and this is what I wrote in the previous post._______________________________I purchased my Zen Vison M last night and plugged into a computer USB port to start charging (after installing the software, of course). The charging was very very slow - after 3 hours of charging the unit still won't turn on. I then went to RadioShack and purchased an A/C adapter, set it to 5V (2A capacity) and used it to charge the unit. Within 2-3 hours, the Vision M was almost fully charged. I then updated the firmware. The unit is fully charged now. I am so pleased with this purchase. Hope this experience helps you. Good luck.

Install for Zen microphoto? Help PLEAS

Hi, I have a zen microphoto, and had installed it on my laptop using the disk a couple of months ago. I lost my entire hard dri've, thus...the installation of my mp3 player, and, of course, I left the installation disk lying on the coffee table and my dog decided to make it a new chew toy and snapped it in half. I tried looking, but where can I find software to download to get my player working again? I already tried just plugging it in and seeing if it showed up in "My Computer" so I could just drop files into it, but it alas is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Zen V Plus Help Ple

I've had a stone for a while and decided to upgrade to the Zen V plus after finding a good deal on amazon, Anyway for the first week or so it worked perfectley (although it wouldn't play via the USB on my car stereo like the stone did) the other day it decides to freeze up and now is displaying "Firmware problem" I tried downloading the restore programme off of the support section of the site but its now saying its not connecting to the pc (pc says its not connected and mp3 screen just shows the error message instead of saying docked) so the restore programme only displays "mp3 player not connected" Help please

First, charge your player overnight to make sure it has a full charge. Remove?ALL Creative software from your computer?and roll back the Windows Media Player to 0. Then re-add your software and plug in your player. That is the easy way to get your player to work. Hope this method hel

You should paste the object code in a HTML Snippet.
All your songs and playlist should be in the MusicPlayerExample folder.
And then test that all performs as it should.
If you do that you have no problems.
But you pasted the code in the HTML page itself after publishing. If you do you have to check the path to all the files.

Rule of thumb : Keep custom stuff out of the Site folder iWeb creates.
I pasted your code in a HTML Snippet and 3 demo MP3s played in the flashplayer. So no problem there.

4gb mp3 player help p

I just got a 4gb mp3 player yesterday. It's the that plays music videos and stores photos. I installed everything on the computer and it charged from 7:47p.m. to around 5:0 5:5p.m. I try 2 turn it on but it's not working. i'm holding down the button for a while 2 like it said. I once held it down for like 5mins but it's just not turning on! did it charge 2 long r something because now it's not charging when i try anymore! did I overcharge it's PLZ HELP ME! i used all my b-day money on it and really wnat it 2 work.

I take it you have either FireWire or USB to connect this with, no? If so, when you plug it in, and it's powered up, the player should mount with some sort of icon on the desktop.
Does it do that, but then you can't do anything else? If you open the player desktop icon, what is inside?
You may need to have a version of iTunes that has mp3 player support and I'm not sure if version 2 does. That's the last available for OS9. If not, try using Audion instead.
Audion is at http://www.panic.com/audion/ - and don't forget to click the small 'free of charge' link to get the serial number to unlock the full functionality. Audion should 'see' your player then you can drag and drop your files from your music library into the playlist for it.
There's really good instructions for it as well, as it's discontinued, but it's super powerful in that it can grab and record streams and do stuff that ANY version of iTunes still cannot.

JWIN MP3 player--HELP!!!

Hi everyone; first, I will say I am a computer/technology MORON!! I got a JWIN MP3 player from my employer as an anniversary gift, and I am ready to throw it out a window. I was able to download a few songs from MP3 Raid on the Web, and that's cool. I tried last night to do several more and they didn't transfer; they are saved to my computer, though. And I did the same steps as the first time, so I don't know what I am doing wrong. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Unless you can choose your anniversary gift, it is usually something small and/or cheap. Our 5 year anniversary gift is usually a stainless steel Skagen watch. I like it.

Zen MP3 Player DAP-HD0

Ive just purchased a Zen DAP-HD005 20gb mp3 player and I cant get it to work.
I turned it on and it stayed on the creative screen for a while and then went into recovery mode. I cant do anything with it, when I reboot, it goes straight back into recovery mode and and when I choose the other options in recovery mode it just brings up a message saying hard disk problem.
I cant even turn it off, it just reboots and goes straight into recovery mode.
Is it faulty or is there something I'm not doing correctly. Is there a way to get out of recovery mode?
It just seems broken to me.

Creative Zen MP3 Player software on Vi

I have just upgraded to Vista and tried to install the old drivers..unfortunatley they did not work. I tried downloading some software for my player and got the Mediasource 5 app...but no Zen Explorer, which is what I need to organize files on the mp3 player.
What can I do? Is there a new version of Zen Explorer or a new replacement? Where do I get it's
