Zen Nano, Can't load new songs from Walmart onto N

I just got my Nano so I am a real newbie. I downloaded 3 songs from Walmart Music. They would not load onto my Nano. When I checked the "Properties" I noticed they were in a different "location" a temp file. I have no clue how to change the location to the right file. Any experieced mp3 users to help. Thanks, zengrandma

Start Creative MediaSource Organizer
- Under sources select PC Music Library
- Now press the button above the middle window called Import Select the option Import Tracks
- Now browse to the location of the files you want to transfer and load them into the Music Library.
- Connect the Creative Mp3 player to your PC
- Click the menu button View and Right Panel View. Select your Creative Mp3 player here
- Now highlight the tracks from the middle window, which you would like to transfer onto your Creative Mp3 player and click the arrow pointing towards the right.
- This will transfer all files incl. the Copy Protected ones onto your Creative Mp3 Player.

My old computer crashed and I can't sync new songs from my new computer to my IPod without erasing all of the existing content on the IPod.  Can new songs be added without erasing?

    Yes by:
Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers
However, you can make this computer the syncing computer by:
    - Transering iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
    Copy music
    - For synced photos you need a program like TouchCopy or PhoneView. The do music too.
    - After everything is on the computer connect the iPod to the computer and make a backupo by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
    - Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps, music, synced photos.

  • I can't load my songs from itunes to my Ipod. How can I get help?

I have a new iPod. I have succesfully installed iTunes on my computor and loaded music from my CD's. I can't download the songs from iTunes to my iPod Nano. I took it into Best Buy and the Geeksquad people loaded some of their songs. I came back and removed the software and reloaded it from the Apple website, and that didn't help a bit. What do I do?

go to file update your ipod and all the songs should go on the ipod unless theirs something wrong with yhe cord

  • I can't copy purchased songs from iTunes onto my iPod on my new computer.

I have an HP Pavilion zd7000 notebook computer. It's used. It was given to me by a family member. I put my iPod software onto it. I can purchase songs from iTunes, and I can connect my iPod and play the music. However, when I tried to put a purchased song from iTunes onto my iPod, I was told that I wasn't allowed. Is there some sort of security thing I don't know about?

Are you sure your computer is authorized for this? This is probably your issue.
If you go to the "Advanced" tab on the top in iTunes, is there a "Deauthorize computer..." button or an "Authorize computer..." button? If there's an "authorize computer" link, then that is your issue. Authorize your computer, and you should be able to transfer iTMS purchased songs from iTunes to iPod.

  • Can't sync new songs from recently-transferred music file on ext HD

I recently moved my Music folder to an external hard drive pursuant to iTunes article 305451, but now I cannot sync my iPod with changes made to my new playlist which has new songs from a CD. I get the following message: "Some of the items," (actually, all) "in the iTunes library including..."(i.e. all the new songs) "were not copied to ... iPod because they could not be found." I created a new path per article 305451 and followed every detail of that document. What am I missing?

I found the link below and it worked. I added the songs manually.

  • New computer:  Can I upload new songs from my new computer to my old ipod without deleting the playlists that already exist??

I recently had to purchase a new computer due to my old one shooting sparks and almost setting fire to my furniture when I used it.  I can use it rarely to try to get my itunes loaded to transfer over, but it usually doesn't cooperate.  I now have a bunch of new songs on my new itunes from purchases and also uploading old cd's.  I want to be able to add these songs to my playlists I already have mostly because I use my ipod to work out and also, there are a large amount of songs from my old computer on playlists currently. Is there anyway to make new playlists from my new computer onto my old ipod??

You should be backing up regularly so you can transfer your library to the new computer.
    Otherwise, you can transfer purchases

  • HT1391 How can I copy new songs from other sites back to my windows folders?

I just bought an ipod and downloaded itunes on it and my lap-top, (where I use windows media player.) Today I bought some songs from another website on my computer, but I couldn't find them in the "my music" folders, I signed on to itunes and found them there. I checked, and my preferences for that site hadn't been changed; how can I copy those songs back into windows? Itunes copied my entire library from my computer...

    I'm replying to myself:
I figured this out; just go to the itunes folder, open it, and then move the song, or album, into that artist's folder in "my music." I thought about doing this, then I read the cautions about renaming, or moving, tracks and hesitated. It worked just fine.

  • I tunes not recognizing my ipod..help!!! can't load new songs!

hi, i've used my own cord and my brother's cord to plug my ipod into my computer. the cord charges my ipod but my ipod doesn't register up on the itunes menu as "plugged in" so it won't upload any of the new songs i put on my itunes. it can't be the cord because it works with my brother's computer and ipod. i'd like to know if there's anything i can do or should i haul it to the local apple store? thanks!

Does your iPod work on your brother's computer? If it doesn't then it might be the iPod at fault.
First of all, try another port on your computer. Some ports are not connected direct to the motherboard and do not recognize the iPod as well as those that are. Reset the iPod each time you connect it to another port.
    Still no joy, see these.

  • Adding only "new" songs from itunes onto ipod

ok this is tricky to explain but all my songs have been wiped off itunes but i stil have them on my ipod as i haven't plugged it into my computer giving it the chance to "update" and as a result wipe all the songs off my ipod in the process. is there any way that you can update ur ipod but set it to only add to ur music library instead of updating it with what music u have in ur itunes library if u get what i mean? i don't want to lose all the songs on my iPod and but updating it in ITunes i believe i will! please help!

There's no way to sync your iPod and only have it add new songs without deleting the ones that are no longer in iTunes. However, you can change your iPod to manual update and add the new songs without affecting what's currently there. If your iPod is set to update automatically, you can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes 7 Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
Once you are safely connected, change your update setting to manual: a href="http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61148">Managing content manually on iPod

  • Can I load different songs from CD into Ipod Nano?

Paying 99 cents for a song . . in an ipod that can hold 1000 tunes. You'll have a 1000 dollar walkman before you know it SO, I was wondering could I load the existing CDs that I already own in the Ipod Nano library?
New mac user, former windows user,
    Adam

Sure, just rip the tunes from your CDs into iTunes in whatever supported format you want (mp3, AAC, etc). Then just sync the Nano to iTunes and it will automatically download the song files to the Nano. Note that you have to convert your audio CD songs to a file first, then transfer it to the Nano, using iTunes. You can't just stick a CD in the drive and download directly to the Nano without using some sort of ripping and transfer software.

  • New computer, nano can't load previous songs?

I just got this computer. All the software is updated on it for my nano. Unfortunately, the songs I have loaded on my nano won't come up on the new computer. Is there any way to do this or am I just up the preverbial creek? Thanks for any help. Jefbud

Getting music from the iPod to the computer is not an ordinary function with the iPod. There are two main ways to do this. One is that you could download software such as Copypod. The longer way is to enable disk mode and manually add the song files onto your iPod and then to take them off when connected to the other computer.
I'd like to give you this article about how to put your iPod into disk mode if you should choose this route:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651
and alternatively here a topic with the same problem and a list of software for getting music off of the iPod:

  • I recently got a new computer and now can't transfer new songs from my library to my iphone. are not listed in my library so I'm afraid that if I sync with the new library I will lose all of my custom ringtones.

My custom ringtones don't show up in my iTunes library (only on my iPhone library) so I'm afraid that if I sync to the new computer I'll lose my tones. I've tried backing up on my computer, but then I can't find that information to bring into iTunes.  I've tried backing up to the Cloud, but it requires me purchasing more space (which I don't want to do).  I've already turned off most of my apps, but I'm still over the limit.
