Zen Nano Plus will not play all trac

My Nano Plus will not playback all tracks installed.My Firmware has been updated to .0.03I have formated the Nano Plus via Windows Explorer.
Tracks have been transferred via Windows Media Player 0 AND Creative MediaSource Organizer 3.30.2 with the same problem. The NanoPlus Mass
Storage Driver has been updated, too. I have tried it on both a desktop AND a notebook PC. The transferred tracks are combinations of WMA and MP3. Both played and unplayed tracks are a combination of
WMA-protected, WMA-nonprotected, and MP3, 28/59/60/92kbps -
nothing unique about the tracks that will not play.
The tracks have either been ripped from my audio CDs or downloaded via Media Player MSN Music store or MP3 store. I have licensed all tracks and they all play via Windows MediaPlayer and Creative MediaSource Player from my hardri've.
All tracks show up on the Zen Nano Plus in windows explorer and will play from the NanoPlus via Media Player and Creative MediaSource player, but they will not all play through the NanoPlus.
All problem tracks (if transferred via
MediaSource) will either be skipped or the NanoPlus will pause when the NanoPlus is playing or they simply are not
visible (if transferred via MediaPlayer0).
The problem tracks are not always the same tracks after I have re-transferred them (I have tired 4
times to clean/re-transfer tracks). I have 8 tracks and only 36 will play.When transferred via Windows MediaPlayer0, the tracks are organized into multiple folders.When transferred via Creative MediaSource, they are all in the root directory.
What can I do to get this to work properly?

My tracks have been transferred with WMP0 into the following Folder structure:
MUSIC-AUTHOR-ALBUM-Tracks.
In Explorer/MediaSource, there is One MUSIC folder containing 65 AUTHOR folders containing 74 ALBUM folders containg 85 Tracks.
My Zen Nano Plus MENU-MUSIC display shows only 3 Folders -- 3 ALBUM Folders of 36 Tracks -- the tracks that do playback.
Is this just an organizational problem?
If so, it's not very handy to Sync....there is nothing in the manual that explains this!
I'll re-organize and see.

IPod Nano 6 will not play all my songs.

When I tap on songs, it shows them all in alphabetical order. This is what I want. When I tap on the first song which is in the letter A, I expect it to go through the entire alphabet. It does not. Some songs just repeat, instead of going through the entire alphabet. All the songs on my iPod are also in the iTunes library. As suggested by your Telephone Support, I put all the songs in 1 playlist, but this did not solve my problem.

Then back it up and do a restore. If that does not work and if you are still under warranty, call Apple tech support or take the iPod to your local Apple Store or an AASP.

Thanks for this post. It corrected my similar issue. Note that you need to exit from/re-enter iTunes after deleting the song from your Purchased list.

MP4 crated in CC LR will not play all the way through.

I created an MP4 on CC LR that will not play all the way through on my web site. When I play it on our site it shows the first three images (there are a total of 26) and then starts over and yet when I play it from my Desktop it works perfectly. I have tried that setting but then the whole show is messed up, some pictures freeze and some just zip through. If i only choose one song it will repeat for the entire show, if I pick 3 songs only 2 will play and the rest of the show is silent.

I have just reloaded the firmware (and all my music) onto my Zen Nano Plus and it didn't fix my problem.
I have mostly .wma files and they play fine. I have tried to load .mp3 files but my player just skips them. I tried using the Organizer software to convert the .mp3 files to .wma files and it says they are converted but I get about min of each song and that's it.
So I don't know why I can't play .mp3 files and I also don't know why the .mp3's can't be fully converted to .wma's.

Wave files will only play by tricking the player into thinking that they are wav files created by the voice recorder. Put wav file into a folder called Recorded Tracks and see if it plays. This will at least see if it will play something. How did you transfer your files?Try ripping a CD to wma files using MediaSource or Windows Media Player - sometimes the firmware gets in a twist and will play mp3s but not wmas, or vice versa. The solution to that is to reload the firmware - go to the Support->Downloads link at the top of the page to get the latest firmware for your player. Protected songs (wma files with DRM) need to be transferred using WMP or MediaSource to transfer the license across, but mp3 files can be drag'n'dropped in Windows Explorer. A protected song without a license will give the symptoms you detail. As it's duff from the start you might just want to take it back - but it's worth trying the firmware reload first to save you some bother. PB

ZEN Nano Plus 1Gb Not Recognised, but 256Mb Works F

HI all, I've searched the FAQ but can't find anything like the problem I'm experiencing here.
I purchased a 256Mb Zen Nano Plus for my son at Christmas, and a Gb Zen Nano Plus for my wife. The 256Mb unit installed perfectly, works perfectly, no issues.
However the Gb unit does not install correctly - Windows XP SP2 recognises it as a Creative unit, although it takes an age for it to recognise the disk dri've. It appears in device manager as a generic storage volume with no drivers installed, and does not appear under My Computer - I can't even tell what firmware version is installed.
I've installed the correct drivers from Creative Technical Support. Have also tried to update the firmware, but the updater cannot find the Gb unit connected to the system.
After trying various driver updates on my own PC, uninstalling the software, reinstalling, Creative support suggested it's faulty and I should get a replacement.
Well the replacement arri'ved today and it has EXACTLY the same problems - can anyone help or advise?

Arcl, I haven't a clue what's happening - have spent the best part of 5 days fiddling and installing/reinstalling. As you say, the drivers for the 256Mb and Gb are exactly the same, so why one unit should work perfectly and the larger unit refuse to work at all, I have no idea.
As stated elsewhere it appears to be some sort of compatibility issue, but I've tried it without ANY other USB devices connected, have updated my USB and Chipset drivers, and it's got me nowhere. Looks like I'll be getting a refund and going for a Sony player similar to my own, as although the software's clunky I know at least it works and is pretty much hassle-free.
Why does it seem to be a problem with the Gb units though? Both cadman and Nespa in the other thread are experiencing issues with the units, I assume they're Gb too?

I just downloaded an album off of itunes and now it will not play all the way through. how do i fix the unfinished songs

i downloaded tragic kingdom by no doubt and about four of tthe songs will play about forty seconds in and switch to the next song, they do not play all the way through. i went through troubleshooting online but it was unhelpful and did not fix my problem. i need help, please!

Itouch will not play all all my music, only select songs

I have an ipod touch that is only playing certain songs whether it's in on a play list or just from the library. All my song have been purchased off of itunes. It will show the album art, but will not play the song, even after I touch play, and goes right to stop. I have I completely erased and restored my itouch, I checked my authorized computers and there are only 2 authorized computers being used. Any idea on how to fix this, so that it will play all my music. It did not always do this, just recently.

I tried unsyching my music then resyncing as suggested in another post and I still have this problem. All of a sudden my IPhone will not play my music. I upgraded to ios5 awhile back and everything was fine in fact it was fine over a week ago now when I go to play it only shows the album art and the songs do not play. Also when the songs it wants to play (it's like it has a mind of it's own) play the album art and songs do not match up. The majority of the songs are purchased from ITunes if that helps. Zen nano plus 1GB not fully connec

Just tried to connect a new Zen Nano plus gb to my XP machine. 
I can see it in Device Manager (both disk dri'ves and USB) and it says its working properly

But, it takes about 5 min to appear on Explore and then it freezes Explore and cant be read.

I have installed the Creative Mass storage drivers.

I've tried to update the firmware to .3.03 (from .2.03) but no go. It recognized it in recovery mode and sets a driver but the .3.03 install program takes it out of recovery with no changes to the firmware (it keeps searching for a compatible device with no luck)

I have also tried different USB ports, checking the power lever (which is OK) and assigning a device letter but Disk Management wont see it until after 5 min and then the device is not available

Very Quirky - any suggestion?

I'm about to send it back (very disappointed with Creative Support as I own Jukebox III and just lost my MuVo.

I tired that and so many more things (restarting, deleting driver and re-installing, deleting media program, different USB ports, checking power allocations for ports, different cables etc.)
I'm a smart guy (BSEE) and spent about 5 hours trying to get this thing to work and no go - still quirky so I just dropped it off at the Post Office to return to Amazon.
Honestly, it not worth my time to spend 5 hours trying to get it to work after paying good money for it. Poor QC testing, poor firmware, and poor support.
What I don?t understand is why Creative doesn?t admit that these devices have a problem and either recall them or fix them. Look at the number of hits the "Zen Nano Plus Connection Problems " thread has! Over 200 hits.
This is obviously a problem and they have their head in the sand. And it irks me when companies do this; release a product that is faulty and let their customers sort it out.
I suggest a thread that logs the problems with respect to each device.
Example:
Thread: Zen Nano Plus Problems:
) connection problems: 493
2) Automatically powering off problems: 327
3) Etc
Each person could add their one occurrence to the running total and someone could sort through and actually find the number of occurrences a problem happens. This can get a company to own up to larger design and QC issues which they shove out the door to boost the bottom line.
But what do I know, I just stumbled upon this site googling ?Zen Nano Plus Connection Problems?
I'm moving on now and thank everyone for their help.

My ipod nano is not showing up in the left hand column of itunes. It says connected on the ipod and I can find it in my computer but its not there on itunes. I need it as I want to restore it to factory settings. I have tried the troubleshooting methods that are on the Apple website but no luck.
Also my ipod is not playing. I found a way to upload all my music to my new computer. I followed a guide given to me on wiki and it worked. However, since then I cannot get the ipod to play. The menu is there, it turns on, all the playlists are visable but when I press play it does nothing or flicks briefly on to the page to play but then flicks back to the list again. I have tried all the troubleshooting on the Apple website but again nothing. I wanted to restore it to factory settings but to do this you have to be able to access the ipod in the left column on itunes which obviously I can't do. That was happening before the ipod stopped working. The two issues are separate.

I have sorted it myself!!
Ipod is now in the top right corner, last time I clicked on it, it ejected it but by clicking on the actual ipod icon then it brings up your ipod. I restored it to factory settings and synced all my music and it now works again. Hope this can help anyone who ends up with the same problem.

Nano plus, doesn't play all files

I've had my nano plus since christmas. First time I put some music on it was then by the drag-and-drog method. A couple of weeks ago I was going to replace some of the music. I deleted the files I wanted to delete and then put new files on the player. These files I'm able to play on other computers, but the player itself refuses to play them. The player though does play the music which have been there since christmas. These files are all in folders. Yesterday I tried to put files in the root and these files can be played. When I put these files into a folder old folder on the player they work, but if I create a new one?the files just don't seem to exist. There is a firmware limit of 60 folders including higher level folders that don't have music directly in them on the Nano Plus - try moving your music into less folders. The 37 you see are the ones in the first 60 that have music files in.

My Iphone 5 will not play all my music!

I have been having this issue with my iphone 5 for a while now and I can’t seem to fix this problem. All my songs on Itunes work just fine. When I sync the songs into my Iphone all the songs appear however most of them will not be “clickable to play” (the song name and title will be there but most of them will be in a “lighter gray” and I cannot access the song
please help.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
