Zen neeon - battery charger

Hello
I Have Zen neeon
I'm looking for the battery charger, we use 230 Voltage
I do not see the Specification of the input voltage that the Zen neeon need
Some one can help with that subject
Thanks
Uri

There's no Zen Neeon firmware available yet.
Typically batteries charge in about 4 hours. I would leave it for this, then check to see if it's full.
If it isn't I would contact Creative Support, links for which are in the FAQ post.

  • Zen Neeon 6GB, charging via AC Adapt

I have Zen Neeon 6GB player. When I connect my player to Creative's AC charging adapter there is no indiacation of charging. But when I connect it to my computer's usb port the battery icon flashes. Is it charging or not?

It appears that generic usb chargers do not work properly with the micro photo.
It has to do something with the micro photo's usb jack not being entirely compatible with them. The device isnt recieving enough power using these chargers.
I tried quite a few, none worked.
It seems that if the micro photo isnt pulsing, its not being charged properly.
When I connect it to my dvd player through usb, it does indeed pulse and charges at normal speed.
I'm afraid that the only way is to buy the original charger from creative...

  • Zen Micro Battery Charging Prob

I have a Zen Micro, had less than 2 months, after the battery going completely flat i have suddenly got a problem with charging it.
The player has the latest version of the firmware from creative.
I can plug the mains charger in and the icon in the corner flashes to say that it is charging, i have left this to do it overnight.
I come to use the player the next day and the battery indicator shows it has only got one bar on the battery icon.
After 2 hours of use the low battery warning comes on and it will not let me do anything at all until i charge it again.
I can use the player while it is charging, but if i remove the battery and have the charger plugged in i cannot use the player.

i had this same promblem. basically when i installed the software something went wrong and my pc wasnt reconizing the micro. so just reistall everything and try that. went its charging it should have the icon in upper right hand corner and also say DOCKED.

  • Zen Neeon Only Turns to Charge Scr

I've had my Zen Neeon for about a year now, and just randomly yesterday (hadn't damaged it or anything- I was listening to it, put it away then went to get it again) when I tried to turn it on it turns to the charge screen. The charging icon is showing as well, however there is no USB or charger connected to the MP3 Player. I am unable to get it to the normal music screen, meaning I can't listen to anything. The only way I can get it off the charging screen is by resetting it or waiting for the battery to die. Can anyone explain why this has happened? Please!

flydoctor: Have you tried a disk cleanup? See the FAQ post.
I assume the wall adapter is by Creative at least? If it doesn't fully charge in 4 hours using this then the player sounds faulty, although it's odd that it will charge from some USB ports.

  • Zen Neeon - Stuck on charge screen and not recogniz

Hey there,Purchased my Zen Neeon only 20 days ago, but last night I left it hooked up to my computer, and turned my computer off. Today when I booted up, it said new USB device found, followed by unknown device, I looked at my Zen, and it was on the charging screen. With no option in windows to safely revome, I unplugged it, and it remained with the charging screen on. When the power button is held in, nothing happens and the charge screen remains. Any ideas anyone? Or is it broke already :\.

I have somewhat the same problem. My Zen went dead and i tried to charge it. But then it couldn't charge and it wasn't recognized by the computer at all. The screen only displayed "creative". So i left it to charge over night, and the next morning the only difference was that the Zen was heated up. So, its still dead and i can't seem to fix it, cause it doesn't seem to be detected by the firmware. i'm dying without my zen! help, please?

  • What type of li-ion battery charger for Zen Mic

    Hi,
What type of battery charger do I need to buy for the removable li-ion battery the Zen Micro uses?

    But, I want a charger!
I will buy an extra battery. So that while I am using my Micro, I can re-charge the other battery. That is why I am buying a player with a removable battery.
Problem is that Creative sells the extra batteries, but I don't see a charger listed.

  • Battery charger Ne

    Hi guys & gals
Just bought Zen Neeon 6Gb player for my son, but to my amazement there is no charger with package.
You can only charge from usb on computer, painfull ...
    My question is ...
    - Does anybody have a separate charger for this model that you could post the voltage and amp from charger unit (if it shows that info)
2 - My own player is MuVo 2 FM 5Gb which is supplied with charger (5volt .5amp) my battery is 3.6volt like mobile phone battery, but Neeon isn't as easy to remove to check voltage on the battery.
My idea is if the voltage etc is the same I can use adaptor and use my charger for the Neeon

I think that's a printing error. I don't remember reading anywhere that the neeon comes with charger. Only Micro have 2 packages that either have charger or doesn't. You should check your neeon package box and see if the charger are listed as included and not the website since website are often not as updated as on the box. If the box does indicate charger included which I doubt so then you should contact their customer support and request for the charger.

  • Zen Neeon freezing iss

I recieved a Creative Zen Neeon 6GB last friday, and it was working perfectly until yesterday.
Now, when I tried to turn it on yesterday, it simply went to the CREATIVE logo screen, and then got stuck there. I tried resetting it, but it continues, every time. I left it alone for a while, and now it shows a low battery logo when I try to turn it on. So, I tried to plug it in to my computer today to charge it, and it got stuck on the CREATIVE screen then too. I've tried everything available in the pinned message on this board, but I can't seem to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

If you can't get into rescue mode then the player sounds faulty.
There no point in contacting support three times, it just wastes resources as they'll have to close the duplicate requests or may even answer them unwittingly.
You need to wait for the autoresponse email from support, then reply to that, and allow some days for a response. Particularly over the Christmas period.

  • Zen neeon 6GB problem

    Hai
I have a Zen Neeon 6GB and Iam frequently facing malfunctioning of the player. Sometimes the player is generating heat and the total battery is going to dry. i used it until it was out of battery and went to charge it up on my computer, i plug it into my USB cable, and when i looked at the screen all i get is the "CREATIVE" logo, it wont change.. i unplug it and try to turn it on, i either get the 'no battery' symbol and it switches off, or usually i jus get the 'CREATIVE' logo and it just sits there.. this is VERY frustrating and i hope theres something that can be done
    Please help me.

There is no "replace" battery warning, Because of the type of battery it is when they are to the point of needing replacement the main sign besides not holding a charge or short battery time usage is heat. As electronics go heat is not your friend. I have not seen any instructions on how to open your player but if you Google it you may find some. The only way to find out what battery you need to replace is to get it open to look at it since it is an internal one.http://www.batteryuni'versity.com/parttwo-34.htm I don't know if this will help much no pictures. http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...09&postcount=8

  • My zen neeon!! hel

hey guys..i need some help..this is bout my neeon zen..i have several of problkem and i dontknow how to find the answer.. ) when i try to connect the usb to my pc it stated to froze...it's just show the icon..that it.. and i cant even to charge or to tranfer the file... pleasee...how to solve it's btw..do i have to use the original usb to transfer the file?

I'm experiencing the same problems! My Zen Neeon worked for a grand total of 9 days...then it froze. Not being extremely gadget savvy, I thought if I let the battery run out it would automatically reset. DON'T DO THAT!!! My laptop will no longer recognize it and it will NOT charge. I have reset it (several times because I'm very angry and I refuse to give up) but it just makes a series of annoying beeps for an extended period of time then sits there on my desk defying and taunting me. A few times, after resetting it, I managed to get it to display the 'charging' icon...for about 5 minutes. Then it just started beeping again and stopped charging.
Anybody actually having a good experience with one of these things? Anyone know how I can get it to work again? I warn you - I'm pretty sure I've tried everything except chucking it against a wall.

  • Zen Neeon 6GB..... DEAD

Hope somebody can help out here, I'm at my wits end!
Got my new Zen Neeon 6GB one week ago. Installed all the software, hooked the player up to a USB port, charged it up, and had a few days of problem-free listening.
The battery was very low this morning so I hooked it up to a USB to recharge. Only this time my laptop will not recognise the device at all! It does not come up as an extra dri've on my "My Computer", and it is nowhere to be found on any device list.
To make things worse the battery is so low that the player will not switch on at all. So basically what it does is:
When connected to the laptop the word "Creative" appears on the display, but with no backlights, and no other button has any effect at all. The device is not read anywhere, and apart from the Creative logo could be considered dead as a dodo.
When not connected to the laptop, I push the on button, the Creative logo appears very briefly, followed by a very quick glimpse of the "battery needs recharging" symbol, then it cuts off completely. No other button has any effect.
I have reset the player a couple of times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the softwear, and still no joy. I am really cheesed off that this kinda thing is happeneing only a week after buying it, I had been told that Creative were reliable?
Anyway, any help would be very gratefully received.
    Merry Christmas!

I have used Zen Neeon 6GB for the last 2 years untill a few months ago. I do not remember having any issues connecting to the computer. But I do know that when you connect, you don't need to turn it on via the on button. It the connection is auto detected and the player turns on on its own. Sometimes computers can't detect devices you might want to try disconnecting and connecting again (I know this may not be your case). You should get the charger to charge it via socket, it is much more efficient and less troublesome. You could also try connecting to other computers. You may also try posting this problem on PC Help forums to seek advice on device detection, they would likely be able to help.

  • Zen neeon recording and USB ca

. I want to record tapes onto my zen neeon but it keeps using up loads of battery so that Im only able to record a few tapes before my zen battery dies. i was wondering if i can plug my zen into its usb cable to charge it at the same time as recording? but on the screen when Im recording it says "no USB cable/ unplug USB" and there is the word USB with a line through it. does this mean that i shouldnt plug in the USB while Im recording?
    2. Also I bought a travel adapter, not from creative, just a normal adapter that you plug into the wall, and then you plug the USB cable with the zen into this. but it doesnt seem to be working, it doesnt charge my zen. and everytime i plug this in, the zen turns on by itself, even if its been locked. can anyone help? i suppose i will have to buy a creative adapter...
    cheers

. Even if you connect with USB (trough a pc) you can't do any action on your zen. It has been always like that, and it won't change.
    2. Only creative products wil work properly with creative material.
See it as tuning a car. You bought a BMW but you can't change the frontbumper by one of audi... Get it's

  • New Zen Neeon wont cha

I just received a new zen neeon for my brithday. I read the small manual and uploaded the software, restarted the pc and then plugged the zen in via the usb cable. I left it for over 2 hours and when I turned it on to check how it was doing the little battery icon in the right corner only had one bar on it (meaning it wasn't fully charged)
I have reattched the usb cable and tried again, leaving it to be for a few hours. When I turned it on it was the same thing, one bar.
Does anyone know what is happening?

I'm fairly positi've that I have found the problem.
The USB connection on the player (not the cord but the port) is faulty.
I can sometimes get it into the right position for half a second and the computer dings and says that the hardware has malfunctioned. At other times I get the right position for a fraction of a second and the computer dings put then sto
    ps.
I cannot get it to stay in the correct position for more than half a second, and even if I could its not like I could hold it all day.
    Has anyone experienced anything similar?

  • Zen Neeon dead

    Hi,
I've recently got a Zen Neeon - I'm in the UK but my dad bought it for me duty free in the Far East. I've had it a week and it's been fine. I was trying to record directly from a stereo through a line in, and this worked. When I'd finished I unplugged from the stereo and plugged it in to the computer. The 'connected to USB' but not transferring symbol came up on the screen of the Neeon, but the PC said 'USB device not recognised'. I unplugged the Neeon, and the 'connected via USB' icon stayed on the screen and I couldn't switch it off. I tried resetting, and entering recovery mode and neither worked. Finally by pressing all buttons randomly I got it to reset, and then reformatted the player. I uninstalled the software on my PC and started again from scratch. It was working fine again, so I resynchronised it and left it plugged in to the switched on computer overnight to charge (first time the battery has needed charging). This morning it was completely dead again - I've got the 'connected to USB' symbol on the screen, and nothing will wake it up or change it. I've tried the reset button, I've tried the reset button and the play key and I've tried uninstalling the software on the PC and starting again. Nothing works.
I've phoned the helpline in Ireland, and they took me through all this again, and in the end said they couldn't help - suggested running the battery down until the player switches off completely - but that could take well over a week as it's new and just charged (and I can't use it at all). Is there ANYTHING else I can try? What've I done?!

I had problems with my neeon
I tried downloading driver but got nowhere but I got this back from technical support and after uninstalling and restalling everything this worked
thank you for contacting technical support. Please try to do a firmware update and format of the player to see if this could fix the problems you're experiencing.First of all; download the Mass Storage Driver.
