Zen Neoon cant fast forwa

Hi.
I have a Zen Neeon with the latest firmware (.0).
My problem, beside no firmware update for a year, is that i cant fast forward some track. The time meter goes to the beginning but the music keeps playing.
Does anyone can help me?

Creative ZEN (8 GB) Fast Forw

All, I listen to PodCasts on my Creative ZEN. I've noticed that MP3 files from one PodCast won't fast-forward correctly. I'll fast-forward 0 min (according to the display) and yet it will only move forward 0 sec or so on the file (and sometimes it will even move backward). At the end of the file (according to the count down in the lower right-hand side of the screen) it continues to play the file but won't fast-forward at all. I have the latest firmware (.20.02). My Creativer Nano didn't have this problem with the same files. I've tried dragging-and-dropping the file directly onto the player as well as using the Creative software. I have the same problem with my Creative Zen. When I open a file that is longer than about 40 mninutes, if? I fast forward it to the end, it stops at -0 seconds, but then when I play it it has only reached about 20 minutes (for example) in a file that is hour 7 minutes. After this, the only way to get to anything past 20 minutes in the file is to play it slowly to the point at which I want. Can't bookmark anywhere past this point either.
I have installed the new firmware, .2.03 with no solution.
Please help! I? am listening to a whole series of lectures now and really need this to work. this makes it nearly impossible to get through these files.

Zen Neeon - Cant Fast Forward 70min track

Zen MicroPhoto, cant install softw

I have Windows 2000 and I cant install the software for my Zen MicroPhoto. I am able to transfer music to the player through Windows Media Player, but I cant transfer photos to the player using Windows Media Player. Is there a fix or something so I can load photos onto my Zen MicroPhoto

I have already dowloaded that driver, and i use it to transfer my music to my zmp. However i am unable to tidy up the folders in artists which is really messed up when it i simply transfer music into the player. I also need a program to create and manage playlists in my zmp. And wat about transfering photos? Any ideas?

Dropped Zen Micro- CANT FIND RECIEPT/WARRANTY

I bought a zen micro on holiday in Spain in August and about a week ago some **** knocked my Zen out of my hand by mistake. When i picked it off the floor it had frozen and the blue light turned into a grey colour,now i have looked high and low for the receipt/warranty and cannot find it. Can someone please tell me what my situation is regarding repair....i still have the packaging ...will i be able to send it to Creative? How much will it cost to repair it's--The player still downloads tunes and the library is still there when i plug it into my pc but apart from that all i get when its not connected to my pc is the zen logos then a frozen screen the select music to PLAY from the Music Library screen with no blue light then it shuts down

Hi,
If you have not got the receipt then contact or CService team with the serial number. If its an out of warranty repair then the receipt is inconsequential anyway. They should be able to help you further.
Before you consider a return though do go through someo fht ebasic recovery troubleshooting. So in this particular case take the battery out hold the power button on and then connect to the PC. You should enter the rescue mode then with for options
) Cleanup
2) Format
3) Reload OS
4) Reboot.
Run through each one and restart the unit afterwards. Also with regard to 3 you'll need to have the firmware downloaded from our site and you'll be prompted by the player to start the upgrade. Do of course back up your contents before hand.
See how this goes first - as the player is still responding and not displaying any errors its worth a go.

NOMAD Muvo TX - feature request - progressive fast forw

I like my TX so far but it desparately needs an accellerating fast-forward (and backward too) feature for large audio files (radio shows, audio books, etc).
Hopefully that can be addressed as a firmware upgrade?

Zen Touch- Cant even get to recovery cons

Hey all,
Here,s the deal, my zen fell out of my pocket last night, and hit the pavement.
Not good, however, it continued to play the long (90min)mix i was listening to- good.
However, it refuses to move now- if i turn it on- its still on that mix, i cannot use any button on the player- accept on off.
I tried a reboot- it just loads up with the same mix, i tried one holding play down, could not access the recovery consol.
Its out of warranty, so its basically down to what ever i can do with it-- any ideas anyone?

No one got any ideas?
Right about now that zen touch is consigned for the scrap heap
I am convinced its just something on the HDD though.......
Can I not remove the hdd, put it in a usb caddy and reformat it- and then put the creative software over the top?!

Fast forward problem

I dont know what i hit, but i cant fast forward or rewind by holding the next or back button. I used to be able to fast forward to any part of the song, but now it just skips to the the next song. I tried to reset the settings and still doesnt work.

The only way I thought you could FF or RW fast was to click the center button until the diamond appeared showing where you were on the track.
Or if I am wrong your click wheel may be on it's way south.

Zen Xtra Software Probl

i had bought a few weeks ago a Creative Zen Xtra with 60GB, i had bought it in Italy but with the different languages it isnt any problem to use it! The Zen Xtra is international isnt it's
My Problem is the Software, the CD where is in the package with the Zen Xtra cant open with autoplay and i cant open any software!
A have a few questions:
. With which programes i havo to load music from pc to the Zen?
2. It is a problem for the Zen that i dont have USB2.0 ?
3. Why the CD doesnt open with the autoplay ?
4. Can i take the mp3s with another way on my Zen ?

Anyone else having this fast forward/rewind problem?

So i noticed since the update from 6 to 6.0.1, that when the library is in the miniplayer, minimized player mode, I cant fast forward or rewind with the buttons in the window. I hit the button and the song will skip forward a blip, then its like i let go of the mouse (let off the button) but I didnt, am I the only one with this problem, anyone have any idea what to do?

same here..after updating my version to 5.0 i cant forward or rewind my media files ...it has become toooo slow...it worked great when software versio was 4.6...but now i dnt what has haappnd....i saw my friends blackberry bold with software version 5.0 and it was working fine in his phone...i dnt whts the matter ...but finally we hve to accept it..

My MSN Contacts doesn't appear on Zen X-Fi

Before Starting I want to say that I already read my booklet and this topic.
Well... I bought a Creative Zen X-Fi on December but I just opened yesterday, today I was trying to make the MSN function to work... but I really can't make it happen...... I followed the instructions of the booklet step by step and my zen connects successfully to my Wireless Internet. But when I go to My friends and log in into my Li've Messenger account the screen shows no contact but myself.
I know it is working because if I'm logged in from my computer, when my zen gets online my MSN disconnects with "You have logged in from another location." And today a friend talked to me and on my zen appeared "Jacky says Hey ^^"
So it is actually online... and my contacts can see me online.. but on my zen I cant see or answer to any of my contacts it is just like

Creative Zen clear c

Is it just me or should a case that is custom built to fit my mp3 player actualy fit or not?
cause there is a serious issue of quality control here, the material strappy thing that holds the keyring bit to the case is too fat where it is sown up to prevent it from slipping out of the case and this means that the zen itself cant fit inside the case,
now my local store dosent have the leather cases yet so im left caseless again
as you might understand im quite annoyed at this, it is really poor form when a product specifically built for the zen is incompatible.
has anyone else had this problem?, did i simply get a random defecti've case?

Try using a custom case with an armband I have the clearcase but do not like it... It is very easily scratched... No need to use a case if I will see my player behind a scratchy screen?anyway :angry: i decide to buy a leather case but will use a custom case if i can not find one

ZEN X-fi 32 GB complaints

I can't believe a product as awesome as the ZEN was ruined with the next model by forcing the use of a software program that is almost impossible to use.
Why are there no 32 GB ZEN's? I would gladly trade my brand new ZEN X-fi for one.
I can't put album art on the player, it has to be copied and pasted to the same album in the "library" on your hard driove and then supposedly it gets transferred to the player, except it doesn't show up. The ZEN Media Explorer was a fantasctic app. ZEN Centrale is absolute crap. Also, Zencast was not included?
Every time I turn on the unit it comes on with the speaker turned on, even though I had it turned off when I shut it down and I have it permanently turned off in the system settings. So everytime I turn on the unit I have to hunt for the "Turn off speaker" function in the menu. This is insane.
I went through the difficult process of making a playlist (this was SO MUCH EASIER in Media Explorer) and then made a new playlist and spent about an hour hunting for the music I wanted because this unit will not show you the music in FOLDERS like ME did, and then when I turned the unit back on that playlist was gone, it never wrote it to the unit.
The unit is ugly compared to the original ZEN also, the silver back looks cheap and the buttons are always going to be smeared with fingerprints. I tried to use the wireless server even though I will never need it or want to use it AND IT DOESN'T WORK.
Basically Creative took a product that was the best of its kind and made it as bad as the rest of the market. It might as well be an iPod or a SanDisk the way it works now.
This is a major downgrade in my opinion.
Why did the 32GB ZEN dissappear so fast? Did it have some problem or was it not profitable to make? That was the best MP3 player ever.
I'm thinking I'll get a ZEN 6 and return this X-fi if the 32 is not going to be available. This is depressing. I loved the ZEN but the X-fi is just awful to try to set up. I still can't get any album art to show up on it except a few random albums that already had an image in the folder before I copied it. None of the .ALB files worked from my old ZEN.
None of the playlists worked either. My attempts at making new ones has been a nightmare since ths unit does not show you a folder tree, only albums and artists and a few other useless genre type sortings that make no sense for how I use a music player.
The Photo function was also made stupid and now has ridiculous sortings based on Year, People, and a bunch of other worthless categories that you can't delete or change. I only need folders and a folder tree, like the old ZEN.
What a shame, plus it looks really cheap compared to the old unit.
sorry, but I'm being honest and I'm really unhappy with it. I don't need the wireless, or the iTunes clone interface that is buggy and impossible to work with, and I loved the look and feel off the old ZEN. I expected this to be an improvement. It is not.
Even the controls were much better on the other one. The finish was much nicer and the software was wonderful!
Maybe Creative could make this unit work with Media Explorer? Please? At least then the software issue would be handled.
edited to correct some typos and to add: I am an enthusiastic supporter of Creative MP3 players and I hope my being honest about my impressions in this forum won't get me banned. I was also a bit critical in another thread (white screen) when I found that my one year and two month old $200 ZEN 8GB was not going to have a chance at being repaired, I was told to buy a new one. I ignored the insult in the email and bought this unity and now I'm shocked at how much it is a downgrade from the original slimmer and classier design of the original ZEN. Please don't ban me, and please, consider addressing some of these issues, especially the software, the speaker not turning off and the album art not being able to be put on the unit. If you would make the old playlists work it would have been simple since I made a backup iof everything on my 6GB unit that I gave to my wife to replace her shunned and defecti've 8GB.

I'm sorry to hear your exprience with support and you ZEN X-Fi. I understand how you feel and if I am in your shoes, definitely I will be insulted reading the kind of reply I received from the email support. My apologies for the inconvenieces that we've caused you. I already forwarded this to the department in charge and hopefully this will be an opportunity for the customer service to look back and conduct performance improvement plans for our advisers.
As far as I know, we accept out of warranty repairs for the ZEN. It's just that the OOW repair charge cost as much as a brand new unit (if there's a difference, it's very slim). I think this is the reason why the adviser who replied to you suggested to buy another one but even though, he/she should have informed you about the repair and the cost. The thing is if you will call the tech support line, there is a big chance that they will give you a discount if you decide to purchase a new unit rather than sending the defecti've one for repair.
Why ban you? We don't ban people needlessly. We should read up their post first. We don't ban people just because they aren't fans of Creative or they posted some negati've criticism. We welcome feedback be it positi've or negati've as long as it's done in a constructi've manner. Hi , am really having a bad time after being a nokia customer all my life, now since n70, that was very great, came to n81, good but bad camera, but it was fast, no bugs, n95 8gb, bugs, starting with wgz, apps which go empty when u hold menu button and take up alot of ram, now am using 5800 , utterly depressed. Alot of bugs, i'll mention all of them today and also what it lacks, 1. On all nokia phones, the im app has never worked, remove it in the next firmware update,2.the pulsating touch on 5800 level 1 is higher than level 2. 3. Add some type writting sound on the kb,4. Video playback reallh sucks!!! N it has a large screen, what for?5. Music player, that one whch is from n97, when launched, on all songs, scrolling then stopping takes you to the top again, the head set controls fail atimes, you cant fast forward a song. 6. When yiu turn on the phone on landscape, the full screen kboard disapears and the rotation is disabled completely.7. The browser has alotof bugs going in and out of full screen mode.8. And why dont we have good games? Ngage? Ngage 1. Was better than ngage2, and now you give us java games, utterly slow, i know that processor can run much better games, ngage 1 was 220mhz. ATV not seeing Enhanced Podcasts. The Album Art does not change like on Itunes and my IPOD and I cant fast forward to the next track.
Is there a fix for this yet?
