Zen Sleek Photo - Problems with connecting device to the comput

My zen sleek photo gives me this error message when I try to transfer nusic from Napster "Your portable device has stopped responding. To restart your transfer, please disconnect and reconnect your device. Tracks will begin transferring when the device is connected."?I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting, this does not work. I have also tried the recovery mode using the Clean up and reboot options. I am afraid to try Format and Reload Firmware, since my MP3 player continues to stop responding. I have also tried?installing Creative Zen Sleek PlaysForSure Firmware 2.0.03 and I get this error message "Your player is not connected please connect your player."? Disconnecting and reconnecting does not work here either. I was successful in initially transferring about 50 - 75 songs from Napster. I have also been able to and still can'transfer music from cd's to my MP3 player. It?appears as though Creative Media Explorer, Creative Media Source Player and?Creative Media Source Organizer are all operating OK with my MP3 player. Could my problem be related to MTP?Any Ideals?ThxRoger Conejo

Can you transfer songs using Media Source, or Media Explorer? Yes, does not work.

Sorry, no I can't transfer music. You would first have to let WMP scan the folder where the songs are. Once they are in your Library section right click the songs and choose Add to Sync List. Then click on the Sync tab and click on Start Transfer and it should transfer over. After choosing Add to Sync List. Then click on the Sync tab and click on Start Sync I get this error message from WMP "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct."?Then I click More Information and get this message from the WMP Error Center?[img]mk:angry:MSITStore:C:\WINDOWS\Help\wmperr0.chm::/wmedia.gif" alt="Windows Media Player banner art[/img] height="65" width="400">]C00DD2: Cannot access the fileWindows Media Player cannot access the file. A problem with PoE devices in the Topology view (LMS 3.1)

the customer has a problem with PoE devices in the Topology View. :-( He doesn't see the 2960 PoE devices with the PoE filter enabled in the topology view:-( He uses LMS 3.1 on Windows.
In the NetPro discussion I found that the list of PoE devices is in the following file:
POECapableDeviceTypes.properties
but I cann't to find thid file in the campus directory. In the campus folder are following folders: bin, etc, lib and www.

Zen sleek photo questions re: connect

[Zen Sleek Photo]. Is it possible to operate the device without installing the software. I'm considering removing the software because it is taking up too much space and not being helpful. I would like to use WMP, not sure which version, because that's where all my music is anyway. 2. how can i install drivers, etc if the device is not recognized by the computer, and in the instatllation process, this is a definite step. and how can i install updated drivers before connecting the device if this is also the case?3. what is the point of trying my zen on another computer if all the music i want to load onto it is on this computer, and that would mean installing the software first on another computer and that's not really feasible.
should i install the play for sure cd and forget my music is in WMP, is this program more suitable for dealing with these devices?

I have never seen it in Singapore. Also, we don't get all the new stuff. In fact, I haven't seen an actual Sleek, much less Sleek Photo. However, we do have the Microphoto.

Problem with FX5200 it hangs the computer!

Hi every one.
i have a problem with my FX5200 T-128, it hangs my computer.
My system is
Moderboard: AK75-ec from dfi.com
Cpu: Amd athlon 1300Mhz
memory: 512 sdram
Some time the FX5200 works good, but many times it hangs when i am trying to play some games, some times it take few days and some time it hangs and hangs the system but after few mins it working again.
i have checked everything Volts, drivers is up to date, upgrade moderboard bios, and everything i have tryid to reinstall xp pro but nothing helps.
i have tryind to test it in other computer with other mainboards to but same there.
any one can help me ?

i have Nvidias newest driver installed, it hangs when it try to load the games.
what more details do you need me to give ?
and the cpu was a duron 1300mhz not athlon.
memory 2 256mb Sdram pc133.
operative system: win xp pro with sp2 before sp1 but same it hangs.
i have tryid to reset all in bios and make the right settings there to but nothing.
i have tryid to update bios on moderboard, and for the grafic card i already have newest bios update, i have tryid everything now :(

Zen Touch.. problem with connect

I have had my mp3 player for about 5 months and the other day I tried connecting it to Windows Media Player and it doesn't work.. it won't connect. It makes the sound like it connected, but nothing happens. HELP! I even redownloaded Windows Media Player.. oh and the cd that goes with the touch doesn't work.

Did you update anything for example firmware, driver, application recently to the player or system? What's the current firmware version of the player and what's the OS type you're using?

My Zen Sleek Photo will not connect to compute

I am extremely disappointed ! Despite being told yesterday that I need Microsoft Service Pack 2 installed on my computer before my USB would detect the player, I have successfully downloaded MS SP 2 and guess what ? It still says "your player is not connected" !!! Grrrr !

Problems with connecting my ipod to computer

Please, i need help. I had my ipod and itunes running fine on a windows xp computer service pack 2 and last weekend i got a new computer. However, i simply transferred my old hardrives into the new computer. The only thing that changed was the letter of the drive. Instead of being E: drive it is now an F: drive.
The problem i am having is that i get an error message everytime i connect my ipod to the new computer and load up itunes It says "the software required for communicating with the ipod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall itunes..."
So when i try to reinstall itunes i get error 1324 "the path ipod updater 20006-06-28 contains an invalid character."
I've tried downloading itunes from the website and when it tries to install i get "ipodservice.resources is not a valid short file name."
So, i can't uninstall itunes or ipod, i've cleaned up my computer for any remnants of files in the system, and i've checked the registry to make sure no files were still being directed towards the E: drive.
Itunes right now works fine. The only problem is that my ipod doesn't update any music or properly connect with itunes.
I've run out of options and need help. Also, if there is a better forum to post this in please tell me. thanks.

Zen Sleek Photo, Connection/software prob

I bought a Zen Sleek Photo 20 GB, installed the software, recharged the battery and connected it properly to my pc. Now my PC gives me a message that it can install the driver, wich I thought i already had by installing the software. anyways, I click OK, but it doesn't seem to find anything, and it also says this, so I click [X]
I register online, all the codes and whatsoever, click Creative Zen Sleek Photo Media Explorer and... nothing 'Your creative Zen sleek photo isn't connected to your PC' it says, but it totally is!
So my pc seems to recignise my Sleek Photo as being a 'Zen Creative' but the software doesn't! something's odd here, since I properly installed, registered and connected it. On 3 different USB's, both direct ports as Hubs.
Now I might also include that although my pc seems to recognise the Sleek Photo, on-screen of my Sleek Photo, there is no indication whatsoever that it notices it's connected to the PC.
I read something about the Firmware ( which I can't install since I don't have Service Pack ).
The MediaSource Organiser seems to be working fine though.
I re-installed the Software TWICE, reseted and disk-cleared the Zen Sleek Photo, but nothing seems to work. can someone help me? I'm really desperate for help
And i totally don't want to have spent ?99.95 ( Plus ?9.95 for some kick-ass headphones ) for nothing here
I think I posted about everything hee now. any ideas or comments? thanx in advance.

I have Windows 2000 so this means I "can't" buy Zen Sleek Photo because it requires Windows XP?
Or is it possible to use Zen sleek photo in Windows 2000 somehow. I don?t need WMediaplayer (0) or Creative MediaSource, they are not so important in use I think.
Can I install drivers to W2000?

ZEN SLEEK PHOTO & WINDOWS 98 SE!! AAAAAARGGH!

Apologies in advance if this problem has already been raised and addressed, but due to a mismatch of information, I find I have now invested in a lovely mp3 player (namely ZEN SLEEK PHOTO) I can't use. The problem? It's mimimum OE requirement is XP and I'm still running WINDOWS 98 SE. Okay, obviously the solution (ahem) is to upgrade to the XP System, but, I'm hearing all sorts of talk of driver updates, installations, fixes etc and wondered if someone knew of any available remedy here on Creative. At the present time, the installation disc is not chuffed with the OE system and I can get no further.
Anyone have any nice, straight-forward step-by-step solution they'd care to share?

I've finished downloading the drivers required. Do I now just need to connect my player or am I required to install the software on the ZEN SLEEK PHOTO first? The last time this was unsuccessful because of the Operating System. So if all this works, I'm guessing that it will be a case of transferring mp3 files (hopefully straight from my hard dri've through WMP) into the Zen player.
Can you please confirm the procedure using WMP?

I had the same problem. After stumbling around I finally clicked the "Identify Your Product" link in the "Downloads" section and then selected MP3 players. This gave me a page listing all the MP3 devices with their product numbers (http://93.95.7.84/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCG....com,case=0848). From this page, I selected the Zen Sleek (NOT the?Photo!). Ok guys, I've bought a Zen Sleek Photo 4 days ago...the first time I've plugged in ,it worked, but not from the second time, I've changed it with another because I'd thought it was a player problem... I got another one then and still...the first time it worked but now it says it isn't connected and it says : not recognised...what should I do? Using Zen Micro and Zen Sleek Photo software on one compu

I have had a Zen Micro for a while. No problems using it. I just bought a Zen Sleek Photo. I am going to let my daughter use the Micro and I will be using the Sleek Photo but haven't set it up yet. Can I use the software that I loaded for the Zen Micro for the Zen Sleek Photo to load music and recharge the battery? I checked on the Zen Micro- system information it is version 2..02. But I am assuming the Zen Micro software will not work on the Sleek Photo. I have only one computer and want to be able to use both MP3 players. So do I have to delete the Micro software before loading the Sleek photo software? Will the Sleek photo software work with the Micro to load music into the Micro and let me recharge the battery? I have windows XP and windows media player 0.

The Zen Micro Photo uses MTP for accessing the unit. If it is detected in WMP0 properly, then that is all you REALLY need. You may find the Micro Photo Media Explorer software usefull if you intend to use the contacts / tasks items, but that is the only program I would say is "needed" to get full function.
