Zen Touch - Front screen detaching from player and other things
Man i haven't been here in a long while...
Anyway - the front plexiglass part of my touch is starting to separate from the magnesium casing, i can see where there's a thin boogery strip of adhesi've. Would someone suggest supergluing back in place - or would that void my warranty?
Speaking of warranty... my warranty chastity belt sticker is pretty beat up, probably from being put in a bookbag pocket. As long as it's intact, the warranty is still good, correct?

Zen touch - Light stays on when off and other probl
Hey,
recently my zen has been doing some weird stuff ie when i look for music by selecting genre, it'll automatically start to play any song on the player on shuffle mode.
Also, last night when i switched the player off, the blue light was still on at the side; it started to dim after a few seconds but i found if i shake it slightly the light goes back on again!
I tried to get the the menu where you can choose to cleanup, reload firmwire and so on but it didn't work (it is hold down play button at the same time as the reset button isn't it's)
can anyone suggest any help?
thanks in advanceThe undocking issue are you sure the arrows are still moving. I made that mistake when I first got the vision M. I thought it was still updating.
The arrows stay still when you can remove the Vision M and kinda rotate, actually move when you are tranferring songs.

My I Phone 4 keeps putting me on hold or mute or hanging up on me from my face touching the screen. returned one phone and now my replacement is doing the same thing. this is crazy. my iphone 3 didn't do this! the screen is suppose to turn black when it is near my ear so that you can not do this and then turn on again when you pull it away. This phone is not doing this.
Are you using a case around your phone? If yes, did you make sure the proximity sensor is not covered?
Try without the cover to make sure the sensor is working.
A protection film on your screen can also cover the sensor and result in a dysfunction of the sensor. -
when i m in a call i touch the screen with my cheek and i keep on putting calls on hols or speaker..how do i solve this?if i don t want a headset?
SORRY, the picture is just to illustrate and to better show the area where the time display is located, same place in the iPhone 3gs, to my knowledge, the location is the same, due to the OS on both phones.
Second, run the test to see if it works:
1st test: go to phone mode, select dial key pad, put the tip of your thumb in top of the time display ( the screen will not go black), try to dial.
2nd test: place a call, after starts ringing switch the display to dial pad, put the tip of your thumb on top of the time display, the screen will not go black, try to dial.
THE SCREEN WILL ONLY GO BLACK ( INACTIVE) IF YOU TOUCH A LARGER AREA TO THE TOP OF THE DISPLAY, IF THE THUMB ONLY TOUCHES THE TIME DISPLAY AND A LITTLE PART OF THE AREA WHERE THE NUMBERS APPEAR THE DIAL PAD DID NOT WORK EVEN WITH THE DISPLAY NOT GOING BLACK (INACTIVE).
I am also trying in my wife's iPhone 4 as I right this post and both phones behave the same way.
I found out what I stated above after running tests to see if the case was affecting the phones performance.
Due to the thickness of the case on the sensor area, it really did affect the way the sensor was supposed to work, after I cut that part on the case, the sensor started to work perfectly and the screen turns off during a call like it is supposed to do.
So before someone go nuts thinking that the phone is not working and that they have to take it to repair, try seeing if the case is not interfering with the phones performance. -
I have reset Firefox, completed all the steps in "flash video won't play full screen on YouTube, Facebook and other websites". And the video still won't play in full screen. It will play, but frequently stops or sound continues and picture freezes. I have noticed that if I continually move my mouse, it plays fine. All these videos play fine in IE and Chrome.
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:

I have a windows Xp computer. and i needed to download the newest itunes to support my ipod touch. but now my computer doesn't let me open itunes. The the data execution prevention pops up and says "to protect your computer, windows has closed this program. Data execution prevention (DEP) helps protect against damage from viruses and other threat." I tried excluding itunes from DEP on settings but it still doesn't work. I don't know what to do. please help me!!!

I had the same problem, then Kaspersky software found a conflict suggesting me this solution.
Itunes now works...even if it always asks to set the cd/dvd autorun on when lunched. -

Try the following.
Right click on the video ( green screen ) and select Settings.
Remove the tick from the box next to 'Enable Hardware Acceleration' and then click close.
Refresh the currnt page and see if the video now plays Ok.

I'm having a problem connecting my BlueRay DVD player and other non-Mac devices to my AirPort Express network. Is there a limit on the number of devices I can connect to the wireless network? A friend bought second hand macbook air mid 2011 with crossed circle on the display and give to me to try to recover the system, I tried recovery from partition and same thing occured, after internet recovery it stays the same-crossed circle after reboot, then we tried to boot from USB with mac os 10.8 on it, it installs something,like it has being finishing installation, rebootes, and now it asks for password for boot option.We have no idea what that password could be.What happened!!!

Nothing. The 2nd Gen Touch is OBSOLETE and is WAY past its support life. If you want to run the newer apps you have to buy a newer iPod. -

If you want everything copied over then you can copy your iTunes downloads over to your computer's iTunes library by connecting it and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases and you can then backup up your old phone via File > Devices > Back Up - you can then restore that backup onto your new phone (or iPad as this is the Using iPad forum).

This stuff was originally used by a PollingChannel to directly monitor subscribe/unsubscribe commands issued by higher-level components in order to drive a count of active subscriptions, and from that, whether or not the channel needed to issue poll requests.
However, DataService, and then Consumer ended up managing this directly because they had better insight into when they considered themselves subscribed and they notify the PollingChannel of their state changes directly (mx_internally). When this was added, the underlying poll-sync responder machinery didn't go away, and it generally doesn't cause problems except in the case of a client disconnect without a preceding explicit unsubscribe. In this case the higher level component moves to an unsubscribed state when it disconnects (and lets the PollingChannel know) but because no unsubscribe command is sent by a poll-sync responder, the extra count it added never decrements and the channel continues to poll incorrectly.
