Zen Touch says its connected to PC, PC says it is

I just bought a Zen Touch 40GB player today and am pulling my hair out with it. Basically at the minute when I open up the mediasource software the Zen player will light up and claim that its docking with PC, but mediasource will show the window that shows it attempting to transfer data from the Zen to the PC and then after a minute will say that it can't find the player. I can't for the life of me figure out whats happening here. I've read through the faq about what to do if you can't connect but I'm not entirely sure if any of it applies to this situation as as I say the PC clearly is making some connection to the Zen player. Anyone suggestions anyone might have would be appreciated a lot.

First thing to try is get the latest drivers, firmware and software from Nomadworld.com downloads.
Then if this doesn't help install the same software on say?a friend's PC and see if it works there.

My ipod Touch 4th gen says its connected to wifi, but then wont work to any app involving wifi. We've had someone check out our Internet and our router and its fine. Every wifi needing device in the house works but not mine. Ive had my ipod for about 5 or 6 months and its never ever done this. it just stated not working yesterday. Thank you for all your help.

Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
3. iOS- Understanding passcodes
     If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
     below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
     simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
     same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. I'm having similar issues with my phone. I got my first iPhone recently, only had an iPod touch gen4 for a little over a year. Updated to 6.0.2 when we got the phone (iPhone 5) a few days before Christmas. When I got home on the evening of January 11, my phone would not connect the router anymore. I was able to get it to connect after resetting the phone and the router, updating the router, and manually connecting. That laste for a few minutes and then wouldn't work anymore. I live in an area with very limited service, we have a network extender installed to help, and I am barely getting a 3G signal at times.
My wife's iPad 4, my touchiPod 4, and all of our laptops are working just fine on the router. When I dropped my kid off at school today, I noticed that I am not even seeing the school network anymore from the parking lot where before I got 3 or 4 bars and could connect to their wifi when I was there. Today my phone goes back and forth between seeing my home network but not connecting, to not even seeing the network at all even from the same room that the router is in.
Hope Apple fixes this problem soon..............

If deleting then reinstalling the apps doesn't work, then contact the app developer for support.
It sounds, though, like your internet connection is simply very slow.
Try making a backup, then restoring the iPhone as new, and testing again.

You can't track it if:
1. It' not turned on and connected to internet
2. It's wiped

Turn off the router.
Turn it back on and wait until all the lights are lit up.
Restart the computer.

Ipod says its connected but it wont let me use the internet?

my ipod says that it is connected to the internet but when i check the connection all of the information where the ip address and all those numbers are suppose to is completely blank. but it the wifi is all lit up someone help please ?? i have called my internet provider and they say its not the internet so i don't know what to do.

Zen Touch 40GB: USB connection dies mid-transfer.

I just received a brand new 40GB Zen Touch. While transferring a group of songs to it (whether via MediaSource or Media Player) it successfully transfers a few before freezing, waiting for a minute, and then claiming that either the Zen Touch is no longer connected or is busy. The only way to remedy the problem is to unplug the USB cable and reconnect - after which the same cycle is always repeated (a few songs, then freezing...).
Can anyone advise?
