Zen V Headphone Out To An Electronic Organ Line In (Atelier)

Is it possible to output the audio from the Zen V to an Atelier organ (this has it's own amplifier) and thereby play through the organ speakers instead of the headphones Thanks

I have tried that. I had listened to the headphones to monitor the sound. It is the pre-set recording level programed in the player. There should be a way to back it down if needed or set the pre-prog. level to a lower setting on the line-in mode. So far Creative is working with me via e-mail. Hopefully they can remedy my situation. Somehow I think I am not the only one with this problem.

  • New Creative ZEN headphone-out

Hi, I am interestign about this MP3 player to buy, but bofore I would need some information about Zen s headphone-output, I have read in this web site http://www.trustedreviews.com/mp3/re...ive-Zen-4GB/p3 that ZEN doesn't have the loudest volume output in the world, but I would like to use this player with a biger headphone Sennheiser HD 25, it has this features: inpedance 32 Ohms and 2 dB(SPL) http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser...sf/root/50056#, this are the same features of headphone, which Creative supplies to the new ZEN concretely Creative EP-480 http://us.creative.com/products/prod...oduct=708&nav= and I would like to know if ZEN s output is strong enough to dri've this big headphone to be enough loud even in noisyer surroundings, Have you any experience or idea, thank you for your reply

My mp3s are not all at the same Volume Level and it also depends on if you listen to louder music(Electro, Techno etc.) or more silent Music(Classic, Jazz) or Vocal Tracks like a Podcast or an Audiobook.
But I sure can tell You that I never get over 8-9. And these are max values for loud surrounding.
In "normal surrounding" I listen at about 3-6. Depends on the things I described above. I listen to Hip-Hop, Metal, Rock, Electro, Podcasts, etc and normally never get over the 20.
I've seen that your headphone might be a bit bigger than my one, so maybe you have to add a little bit to my values.
But as I said in the first post, try to find a shop who sells the player and bring your headphone with you to try it out. Maybe the Price over there is a bit higher than on the net, but you might have the option to test the player a bit before buying it.

  • Creative Zen Aurvana headphones

Wow, creative has the WORST customer support on earth, the website is circular, and you can't get anywhere with it.
So I have the Creative Zen Aurvana headphones, used them for 3-4 months and one side doesn't work anymore, they were mildly used, and well taken care of, but one side stopped working.
I tried filling the warranty form but it doesn't even list the headphones anymore as a product.. wtf?
Can anyone give me the Creative customer support phone number, they don't list it anywhere on the website, every link leads to one another.. CREATIVE SUCKS.

Hello fellow disgruntled Creative customers. I just got a pair of the new EP-640's and am having the same problem... after just a week! The sound hasn't gone out completely from the right ear, but it's still barely audible. I'm probably going to take them back and get some from a different brand. I can't wait to get a Creative pair after this problem is over.

  • Zen micro headphone jack fix for fr

i read somewhere in the forums that Creative can fix the headphone jack problem for free?
Do you need a warranty for them to do it for you? And are all the songs on the player deleted when they fix it's
I would try and fix my Zen Micro headphone jack myself, but I'm afraid I might do something wrong.

i recently got my micro replaced at best buy after it had the headphone jack issue, and my new one is having the same problem. I'm pretty sure best buy gyped me though because they gave me a micro that was sitting out on a table like it was used or something. Since this was within the last 3 months am i able to mail my micro in to creative to get one of the new, hopefully fixed, ones for free? It's soooo frustrating because i love the micro but the stupid head phone jack just makes me want to strangle it.

  • Zen micro headphone jack cheap

I started having intermittant problems with the zen micro headphone jack that has been well described. I found that if I held the headphone plug in a certain position that both channels worked well. I took a standard size staple and placed one prong of the staple in the thin space between the headphone jack and the body of the micro in a location where the headphone jack would be forced into the position where both stereo channels worked. I then broke the prong off by bending the staple back and forth and then pushed the sharp edge down with the end of a ballpoint pen. This made the headphone jack fit very snugly in the position where both channels worked when I plugged the headphone in. It solved the problem completely and is significantly cheaper than the $40.00 creative would want to fix the problem.

You could easily take it out with a pin or using another staple to catch the bottom of it. It really doesn' go in very far. Certainly would take it out if if can't fix the problem before sending it in. Its amazing that the staple diameter is exactly the size needed to keep the microphone jack tight in the case.

  • Headphone out distorion - only when on OS X

My Macbook Pro has a strange issue that I can't find anything about.
I often have speakers/headphones connected to the headphone out port. However, all sounds are a little distorted... as if they were being played through very very cheap speakers. At first I thought something was terribly wrong with my Shure headphones, however when connected to an iPod (with the same audio files) they sound great.
So then I thought it must be a problem with the headphone out port on the mac, or the audio chips inside. However, when I booted in Windows XP (blasphemy i know) the headphones sounded just like they do on the iPod - great.
Therefore it must be something to do with OS X. I have tried iTunes with sound enhancer on and off, volume adjustment on and off, equalisers all off - nothing improves this poor sound quality issue.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

  • New notebook only has headphone out and mic in -- Will any Creative speakers work?

Hello all: My new notebook only has a headphone out and mic in, and no audio out as you see on desktop PCs. I prefer not to use my USBs as I have other devices using them. Are there any Creative speakers which can use the headphone output and convert it to line level? This is a frustrating problem...the product specs all assume that you have a line level output 1/8 stereo jack. I don't. How can I find out which Creative products (if any) will work? I have a very typical, Compaq V6000 notebook running XP. I'm looking to spend under $80 and would prefer a 2 speaker or 2 pc w/ subwoofer configuration. I prefer to know that I can connect my new speakers rather than order blindly. Thx yall.

You can perfectly connect your 2.0 or 2.1 speakers to the headphones out, because it's like it was a line out, with the only difference that you can modify the out volume. There's no problem at all.

  • How can i remove the end pice/pin from my headphones out of my computer?

how can i remove the end pice/pin of my headphones out of my computer?

IF you cannot pull it out with your finger tips, you need to take the machine in for service to an Apple Store or AASP. Doing this type of work yourself could seriously damage the computer so it's best left to professionals.

  • X-Fi I/O Drive Upgrade Kit and the Headphone Out j

I would?need an extra analog audio out for my new HDTV since I don't have an HDMI-out on my PC and the audio out's on my soundcard are reserved for 7. speakers. I thought the X-Fi I/O Dri've Upgrade Kit might be my solutions since it has an extra headphone out. I have an X-Fi XtremeMusic card and my new telly has L/R-RCA audio ins.
My question is does connectin headphone jack to the X-Fi I/O Dri've mute all other sounds? I would like to be able to use both my S750 speakers connected to the PC and the HDTV speakers connected to the X-Fi I/O Dri've's Headphone?Out?at the same time.
And one extra?question:?Do the headphone out on the I/O dri've introduce dedicated left/rigt channels including all the sound information from the source file being played, or just the left/right channel information as in 7. mode when the soundspectrum is divided between all the eight speakers and when the front left/right channels do not contain all the information? It's a bit tricky to try put into words what I mean, but I hope you can understand.
Thanks for any and all replies!

You can enable/disable the muting on jack input detection.
As for the output, I think it outputs the front left and right, so you would need to switch to headphone mode in order for it to be stereo only. However, the dri've also has digital out and from what I understand, that only outputs in stereo unless it's using a surround sound source such as a DVD, but I could be wrong.

  • Optical digital audio output/headphone out

Does anyone know if there is a way to connect stereo speakers directly (not through a receiver/amp)to the Optical digital audio output/headphone out on a imac? The new 20 inch imacs have a 24watt internal amp which would be plenty for the speakers that I want it to drive. Thanks

is there an attachment that i have to buy? do i just rip the tip of the cord off?
Yep, there are two "standard" optical-digital-audio connectors -- the original "square" one is still used in most larger audio/video components. The newer/smaller one, used mainly in portable gear, is exactly the same size as a mini headphone plug. Radio Shack carries adapters/converters and cables of both types (usually at outrageously high prices). For online vendors, try:
    http://monoprice.com (search for "TOSLINK")
Great prices and a good rep for quality/service among to the HDTV-fanatics on avsforum.com.

  • Apogee Duet no headphone out with Wave Burner

I dont seem to get any sound out of the headphone out on my Apogee Duet USB interface when using Wave Burner.Everything on it works fine with Logic.Something to do with the outputs I'm sure.Any tips on this would help.Thanks.

Have you checked <Preferences> <Audio Driver> in Waveburner? The Duet  should appear there, assuming it also has priority in Audio MIDI Setup output configuration.

Use the Headphone-out port for headphones only (use line-out #-3 for feeding external amplifier(s)).

  • Zen micro headphone static sh

Has any else experienced a shock of their Zen Micro headphones?
I get a shock almost every day off of mine !
Is this a known problem or is my Zen about to blow up?
    Anybody any ideas ?
    Thx

Are you walking around on carpet at the time? It might be just static, if you've built up a potential difference relati've to your headphones.

  • Any solution to DVI noise via Headphone out?

Have posted before but I have a new i7 Macbook Pro 8GB running fine.. and I want to use the Analog/Headphone out to 2 x phono left/right into a USB Soundcard.
This is fine for recording loops from the Macbook to another editing computer, and the levels were way down at -90.0 which is almost silence.
I now have a DVI adaptor (apple) from the Macbook Pro to a DVI Dell Monitor fine, and now I have terrible buzzing, earth hum, noise!
This obviosuly ruins the recording process as I need my 2nd Monitor hooked up to the MBP. After googling this problem, it seems many many users have this same annoying problem and Apple still produce laptops with the noisy analog out?!
Is there any cure for this?
I tried to use the headphone out as Digital SPDIF out which is silent, but I can't monitor in the same way via the USB soundcard on the other machine, so that makes that tiresome and awkward. I even bit the bullet and bought a good 'ground loop isolator' to put between the Macbook output lead and the input to the soundcard lead, and that still makes no difference?
It seems to be the DVI port powering another monitor that causes this. Is there a simple solution to stop the noise?
    Help!

I am not familiar with the Bumper unit, it seems very low priced, but it would be hard to believe it does not use the standard solution - a transformer, even an inexpensive one.
In the states, I have used a Radio Shack unit for this problem as an inexpensive solution which appears similar to this Maplin device:
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/ground-loop-isolator-33172
The gold standard device is probably the Jensen like this:
    http://www.jensen-transformers.com/ci2rr.html
    but it's more like $300USD.
You may have other problems, and it would be interesting if the Apple Store can solve this for you. Otherwise, I would suggest trying the Maplin unit, and return it if it is no better than the Bumper.
