Zen V Plus isn't work

One day i turned on my Zen V Plus, and it came up with the message "Playback Error" and just froze. I couldn't turn it off or do anything.
So I let the battery die, once i plug it into my computer another thing pops up that says "re building Library" It started to rebuild and then just stop completely?andything that could help me would be appreciated

Another thing i had found out (this should help the guy above)?When i had turned it on after i got the playback error, the library wouldn't load (i had said that)?So i had decided to unplug it from the computer, then wait for the battery to die again, when it did, i pluged it right into the computer it loaded up again and quickly deleted all music from it. Once i did that, i unplugged it, then went back on to upload the same music?The last thing?I know that Rhapsody is compatible with Creative Zen V Plus, and had uploaded music previously. When i went back to upload the same music, i had dragged one song to it. But it wouldn't load up, and my Zen wouldn't stop saying that it was transfering files because i canceled the transfer. I waited 3 hours and still said it. i shut down the entire computer, and it still was transfering something. I unplugged it and it still was flashing, so waited for the battery to die, and then went back on, now rhapsody won't read the Zen. any help with the rhapsody problem will be appreciated?could you email me it [email protected]

  • ZEN V Plus Isn't Detected

    When I plug my ZEN V Plus 4GB into my USB port, it isn't detected. I tried using the MP3 Recovery Tool and that does not detect it either, but it does show up in the Device Manager.

    Right click on it and select Uninstall. Unplug your player then reconnect. It should re-install the driver and should be able detect your ZEN V plus.

    What do you mean by the cd does not work in vista?
    Can you tell us what happens when you try to install using the installation cd, error messages, etc?
    Try plug in your Zen V Plus to your computer, does it get detected?

  • I work and live in China and my backup assistant plus isn't working

    Here's my situation, I currently am living and working in China so I am no longer with Verizon.  It has been quite some time since I used this phone and because of this I am no longer able to access my backup assistant plus account. I want to recover my photos but I don't remember what my ID is and the phone number Verizon keeps asking for is no longer in service. It's a long shot but does anyone have ideas? Thanks

  • Win2k and Zen V Plus Playlist no working

    Hi All,
    Thanks to some?chaps on this forum, I have had my had my zen v plus working
    on win2k for a while now (followed the instructions to the downloads, and installed
    mediamonkey etc etc).
    The thing is, I can't get any of the playlist functionality to work using mediamonkey.
    I have created a basic playlist, gone to the Device Profile and
    - ticked the playlist I want copied
    - ticked the 'copy playlists' checkbox
    - set destination directory to '\my playlists' which I believe is correct
    Now mediamonkey looks like it's copying the playlists across, and it probably does, however my player can't see them.
    It looks like the player does not support .m3u style playlists, it appears to have its own format '.zpl'.
    Surely someone else has had this issue as well? Playlists are one of the best features and my
    mp3s tend not to be well tagged, so its quite hard to find all songs by a particular artist *grrr hehe*
    So has anyone a solution to this issue? Is it a mediamonkey problem or a win2k/device problem?

    Must be another Zen V glitch. We seem to keep finding them.
    Why can't anyone make an easy to use player? Zen V Plus is soooo close but yet....misses the mark. One feature we would like to see is a way to sort the music after it's in the player. By artist, alphabetical by title....etc.
    Guess we will have to do without a playlist since no one knows what to do to fix the problem.

  • Story CC plus isn't working with CC subscription

    I recently obtained a subscription to Creative Cloud.  I have been able to get everything to work except for Story plus. Every time I sign in to story it just puts me on the free version even though my account has the subscription activated on it.  I have been using the free version of story for quite a while now and i'm wondering if that has something to do with the plus version not working.  I have also read other forum posts on the issue, but none of them were able to solve my problem.  Any help would be appreciated, and if more information is required I will be happy to provide it.

  • NEW Zen Stone Plus does not work

    It looked like it started to charge, but then it just died and Windows does not detect the dri've. I have tried hooking it up to another computer but no go!
    I've tried all the troubleshooting on the page and nothing seems to work, it's just completely dead even though it's brand new. I wasn't even able to upload songs to it.
    any tips? or should I just send the player back? The problem is that I am in Iceland and bought it in Toronto, Canada so I would like to try everything before sending it.

    I used these instructions and got all the way to reloading the firmwear. Then it said to restart the comp and I did and after that nothing! What am I doing wrong?

    There is a Recovery Mode for the flash-memory players although it is different from the Rescue Mode for the HDD players - that is used for carrying out maintenance operations on the player but Recovery Mode for the flash-memory players is just a different way of connecting your player to your PC when it won't normally connect, for example, when the firmware has become corrupted and the player won't start and isn't recognised by the PC. It is in fact a way of communicationg directly with the STMP3500 chipset that these players use without needing any additional firmware.
    Creative themselves called it Recovery Mode - it was first seen when Creative posted the instructions for a previous firmware upgrade that could not be run when connected normally. For the N200 it was in the instructions to upgrade to version .5.0.
    Here's a line from the instructions for the latest N200 firmware upgrade, v.20.04:
    When prompted to set your player in Recovery mode, disconnect your player from your computer.
    Here are the instructions:
    . Download and install the Mass Storage Drivers from the website.
    2. Press and hold the Play button while connecting your player to the PC. If you have a one-piece player then remove the battery first.
    3. Keep pressing Play until the New Hardware Wizard starts - this will only happen the first time you put your player into Recovery Mode.
    4. Complete the New Hardware Wizard.
    To check that you are in Recovery Mode open Device Manager (right-click My Computer and choose Properties, then the Hardware tab and Device Manager) and look for a Player Recovery Device entry.
    When in Recovery Mode you can reload the firmware.

  • My creative zen nano plus doesn't work anym

    Hi I've a problem with my mp3 player. It just doesn't work. After I made a powerpoint file on it (normaly that did not cast problems) it went on and in the same time it wents off. Like the battery is not loaded. I wanted to make an update with a file from the creative page, but in the same time it did not do anything. I can not turn it on. It does nothing.
    Can somebody help me? Had anyone the same experience?
    My problem is too, that its nearly two years old and the seller told me that i have no guaranty on it. Is this right? Can i just turn it into the carbage can?

  • Zen Nano Plus volume not work

    About 3 months ago the button used to increase the volume on my player became stuck and wouldn't work. Since then I've been especially careful not to press the "decrease volume" button on my player. Unfortunately, today my luck ran out because while it was in my pocket the button got pressed and the volume has gone all the way down to 0 and I can't get it to go back up manually. I was wondering if there is a way for me to fix the volume via the software that came with the player or if I need to have it fixed. (That or throw it out since Creative doesn't have a phone number for technical support like a decent technological company). Thanks for any help!

  • New zen v plus won't play!!! he

    HI, just spent the day downloading music from napster and my hard dri've to my new creative zen v plus mp3 player. (used to have the muvo and I loved it) and after 3 hours of hard work I unplugged the mp3 from my computer and the green down toggle doesn't seem to take me down on ANY of the menus. Not only that, but it says it is playing, but I can't hear anything and there is no evidence of any files on there. (not that I can check due to not being able to go down to select artists, albums, etc. (in music library menu)? When I look on the explorer on my computer when it (the zen) is plugged in via USB, it shows all my music on the player!!! what is going on? very frustrated as was a birthday present. (by the way, I followed all procedure including the full charge before doing anything with the mp3)

    I've been away from this thread for a while because my new 8GB Zen V Plus simply stopped working. Nothing brought it back to life including reset with a paper clip. One moment it was working...the next it was dead. Fortunately I was within the 30 days of Comp-U-Plus' return policy and they exchanged it. I received the replacement today and guess what.... It has the same problem: It won't update the firmware. It just says the player isn't plugged in even though the repair program finds it just fine. This happens on two different computers. I contacted Creative support as suggested above and they gave me the same links to the same KB articles this forum gives. At this point I'm sure it's not the player and it's the firmware update software. It's time for Creative's engineers to contact people in this forum and figure out what the problem is to correct it.     Hi Folks.
    For whatever reason I can't get the video converter to convert files for my Zen V Plus. It worked for a while, then stopped working. Even files that I had converted previously will no longer convert. I can still play the orginal and the converted files.
    I have tried everything to get it to work, including uninstalling, then deleting all related folders and registry entries, then reinstalling.
    My question is - is there a codec and third party app that I can use to convert files instead?

    Changing the covers on the player may involve you actually breaking the player. I wouldn't recommend it as it also isn't screwed together, so you'd find it difficult to put it back together, if you didn't break anything taking it off.
    My serial number has also wiped off, inc. all the writing on the back of the player. As long as you've got the serial number written down (it's also on the packaging as well if you still got that).
    But as customer support said, to change the cover you'd need to buy a new player.

    Thinking on buying a Zen V Plus, and got some questions about the video side of the mp3-player.
    How big files can It handel when converting? What types of files could be converted to .dib?
    Let's see it this way:
    I have an anime episode that I want to check on the Zen V, (Size of the file 72mb)
    Could it work to convert it to .dib? And how big are the file going to be after converting?

    Honestly the video playing on the Zen V Plus isn't that great. Its more of a "in can if you really have too"? feature more then something I would use on a day to day basis.
    In my experience a 6mb compressed AVI file cropped to prior size, ends up being aroudn 50 - 60mb once converted. It really depends on how the original AVI was compressed in the first place. But on the same size I would expect the uncompressed AVI to be around 9 to 0 times the size of the compressed version of the same AVI. For example:? 3minute music Video 28x96 resolution, 5FPS?7,05,658 divx avi????Once edited and converted by video convert for Zen V Plus? 76,333,056?????So "in theory" a 72mb compressed AVI could end up almost 2gb if converted. (Worst case, depends on how the original AVI is encoded in the first place.)?Message Edited by gmandual on 2-7-20062:07 PM

  • Problems with Zen Stone Plus & Vi

    Hi - can anyone help please?
    I have a Zen Stone Plus 4gb which works fine on my friends pc runing windows xp but when I use it on mine running vista it recognises it in device manager but shows there's nothing on it despite there being various songs/audio books on, so can't drag & drop other items to/from it.
    The player seems to crash when plugged into my pc & I have to keep resetting it, even when I'm only trying to charge it up.
    The player is fine on an xp pc - it seems vista is the problem. I've gone back to an xp pc to download the latest firmware which it seemed to do ok but still doesn't work on my vista pc.
    Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you sort it out?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Creative zen v plus and the belkin char

    We discovered something that maybe is so obvious to everyone else but maybe not... we bought the belkin charger that works with our zen v plus. HOWEVER please note the usb cables that come with it and then with the zen v plus are NOT interchangeable. We at first assumed the only difference was the belkin cord was longer but the shorter cable that came with our zen v plus does NOT work with the wall charger. It made our zen lights blink on and off and go wierd and not charge at all but thankfully did not damage our player WHEW!

    If the purchases you are talking about are DRM-protected files, which is mostly what the iTunes Store sells, they are not compatible with players other than iPod.
    All you can do with them is use iTunes to burn them to an *audio CD.* Think how handy it would be to have them on an *audio CD.*
    Going forward, do not spend your hard earned money on songs with proprietary DRM protection. There are other online stores, such as amazon.com, that sell the same songs in non-DRM format, which will be compatible with iPod, Zen, or virtually any other player.

  • Zen V plus not recognised by computer and rebuilds library every time it is switched on

    My zen V plus has been working ok but just yesterday it stopped being recognised by my computer. It also rebuilds the library every time I switch it on. I wonder if I may have disconnected it prematurely when it was docked and transferring data. I have reset it but no difference. Any suggestions please.

    My ZenV plus finally gave up the ghost. Blank screen and wont power up also wont reset . This was a great little player and I got them for the kids too so went and bought myself a new Zev Style 100. I have downloaded the Setup but whereas the V was ajoy to manage on line ( so simple) I cant see how to create and manage playlists with the style . can anyone help? There also seems to be a way of creating playlists on the player itself but so far I have managed to type in and create a playlist title but cant fathom out how to transfer songs into it.
    this is all very frustrating . HELP!!
