ZEN V PLUS Restart after closing

Hi I Need Help because when i close my ZEN V PLUS,It Restart immediately
So the battery of my ZEN V Plus is alaways Emty
Could anyone help me ?
Thanks

Thats the same problem I had too. But mine wasn't one day after buying it, thats crazy! Anyways, I had to send it to creative which kind of sucked, but being from Canada it seemed like my only choice other than buying a brand new player. There were no customs charges however, the only thing I had to pay for was shiping it to creative, 25 bucks I think.

  • Zen Nano Plus - Dead after 20 minu

Just received my player this morning. Connected and transferred a couple of albums via windows explorer. Disconnected and had a listen, sound was ok. Reconnected to add some more music. Paste operation froze windows explorer, safely remove hardware button did nothing and the only option was a hard reset. Now player wont switch on at all, not even a logo screen and pc doesn't recognize it so cannot reflash the firmware. Most disappointing.

Thanks for the tips shellshock. I spent quite some time yesterday trying to bring the player back to life to no avail, so its now winging its way back to Amazon.
    Basically it went something like:
: 8am. Grab parcel from postman and unwrap excitedly
2: Plug player into spare usb port, my 64 bit OS recognised it straight away as a 'Zen Nano Plus' so no additional driver install necessary which is just as well because there doesn't seem to be one for 64 bit versions of Windows
3: Open windows explorer and copy two folders across to player as with any UMS device (Supertramp and Erik Satie no less)
4: Unplug player, have a listen for a few minutes and farmiliarise with the menu operations and manual
5: Reconnect player to PC, which again recognizes it correctly
6: Attempt to copy and paste a further folder of mp3's to the player using windows explorer at which point onimously the hourglass mouse cursor indicates work in progress without any sign of a progress bar appearing to indicate files in transit (the player does however display a data transfer in progress animation
7: After a couple of minutes ctl-alt-del clearly indicates windows explorer (and hence the data transfer operation) have stopped responding (my pc it should be noted has a respectable spec, was built last summer is not crash prone for no reason)
8: Bollocks says I, this is not quite going to plan. Forcing the process closed via task manager and attempting to use the 'safely remove hardware' function in the system tray locks the computer up totally forcing a hard reset
9: The Nano in the meantime has stopped displaying the data transfer animation so I unplug it from the PC and power it down thinking 'oh well, hardware is known to crash occassionally, i'll need to recopy the files after a reboot no doubt'. Hah, I should be so lucky.
0: Nano now refuses to start full stop. Not even a logo. Removing and replacing batteries minutes later as recommended has no effect, holding down the power button for over a minute has no effect, different batteries have no effect
: The PC now seems to think the dead Nano is a 'STMP3500' (i'm guessing this is the chipset used by the player) and furthermore wants drivers to match. Downloading latest drivers from Creative is useless as they are only 32 bit and will not work with Windows XP 64bit, so the PC is now having none of the dead Nano
2: Attemping to activate the emergency reset by attaching the Nano to a USB port (various ports tried) whilst holding down the power button for 20 seconds or so (several times) proves futile as all my PC now wants is drivers for a goddam 'STMP3500'!
3: Latest firmware from Creative does run ok but totally fails to find the player
4: 3pm. Player is unceremoniously re-wrapped with curses into its packaging and marched to the post office for despatch to Amazon's returns department for a refund
My guess is that the failed data transfer managed to wipe or corrupt the player firmware. I'm sure all computer users are used to system crashes now and again, but they certainly wouldn't expect to have to buy new hardware each time it happened. Creative R&D department should maybe revisit the way the Nano's OS is written and protected.
After all that i'm still searching for a decent mp3 player but can find none to match the spec of the Nano at the price. Reviews of cheaper alternati'ves indicate poor battery life and questionable sound quality. Iri'ver T30 doesn't support UMS so thats a no go.
All in all a pretty negati've experience. Perhaps I was just unlucky, maybe once the refund comes through I might even give the Nano another shot, especially as the price has just dropped again by about 3 quid on Amazon......

  • Zen Nano PLus dead after firmware upd

I wanted to update the firmware of my Zen Nano PLus, so I got the correct file off the creative site. I connected my mp3-player and executed the firmware update file. Everything went as it should do. It brought up a pop-up window of windows asking to search for new Hardware. I accidently closed it. Then the whole firmware updating process stopped. I closed the window of the updating process and tried to restart the firmware update file. I didn't work because the player wasn't even found by the computer. The bad thing about it is, that I cant do anything with my player since the computer cant even talk to it. I cant turn my player on/off: it is pretty much dead. No connection to computer status diagram appears, nothing. I tried the rescue tool of creti've, it didn't find the player either.
    Any Ideas what can help?

removed battery, pressed Start, connected USB, found as damaged, firmware update, works fine!!!

  • MacBook Restarts After Closing The Screen

I have a new MacBook that I purchased the first of October. It has been running great until recently. About a week ago it started restarting itself after I closed the screen. I can use the laptop with no problem and then close the screen to let it goto sleep. When I reopen the MacBook it will restart the machine. At first I thought there was something with OS. So I installed a new hard drive and reinstalled OS X. The MacBook still restarts after I close the screen. I have installed the new firmware updates that has come thru on software updates. I am stumped. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

The same is happening here, though only intermittently. I have a MacBook 2.0 purchased in May. The issue just started within the last day or two. I have not tried reinstalling anything or swapping drives, but on the surface, this would appear to possibly be related to the "MacBook EFI Firmware Update 1.0" released and applied 11/13. This was said to address "start up and wake-from-sleep issues on MacBook computers."

  • Creative Zen V Plus Dead after char

I put my Creative Zen V Plus and charged it on my laptop. I forgot my laptop has a standby option after 30 minutes and I put it in, went to sleep... woke up 6hours later, and my mp3 player was dead. I tried turning in on by holding the button for extended periods of time, I tried plugging it in?my desktop computer which had the drivers also.... I've tried reseting it.. but nothing works. Is there anything left to do or should I send back?

The player battery might be depleted so connect it to the computer and charge it for a longer period of time. Also, while connected, try pressing the Reset button/hole by the side of the player.

  • I-Tunes Auto-Restart After Closing Program

My i-Tunes began automatically restarting when I close the window on my desktop. It is pretty annoying.
It only restarts after I have had it open. If I have not opened i-tunes it behaves. But, if I open i-Tunes to listen to music on by desktop, and then close the program when I am done, it will restart within 10-seconds.
    I am using Windows 7  and i-Tunes 10.2.2.12
I can't find a solution and sfter 15-minutes of trying to find a link to submit a help request, I gave up and am trying this avenue.
    Thanks

PS: In the Product selection below, i-Tunes is not one of them. Hope this gets where it needs to go.

    Thanks!
Shall I create de novell partition on the new\replaced HD?
Will Novell recreate the mirrored volumes automatically or shall I rebuild them manually?
    TIA

Yes. FATFS.NLM tries to mount all FAT partitions it finds, not just the
boot partition. So any problem FAT partition may cause trouble.
    >I tried the "FORMAT D: /s /x" command but it display the "Bad track in

This sounds like your disk is physically broken. As a short term solution,
you can probably delete the DOS partition on D: but not create it again.
That way, FATFS.NLM will not try to fix the broken part of your disk. Of
course, you should as soon as possible replace your disk.
For this, you should first create and copy your DOS partition manually on
the new disk and then start your server and use NSSMU.NLM to manage the
    mirroring of the NetWare partition(s).

  • Equium A60-692 won't restart after closing the lid

Most annoying, the only thing I can do is hold the power button to switch off &switch back on again. Is there some combination of keys i should be pressing to bring her back form the brink after closing the lid, or is this a fault?
    Thanks

Usually when the memory size changes, the system can recover.
Remove the battery and AC Adapter, then remove one of the Memory Modules, and power up.

  • Zen V Plus freezes after turning on, despite resett

I've had my Zen V for about 2 years now. It broke down 6 months after i bought it, i gave up on it and got another Mp3 player sometime afterwards, which is guess what, the Creative Zen, which died as well (i resurrected it using the keep-on-resetting method).
Anyway my Zen V turns on, and freezes. They screen forever shows Rihanna's Unfaithful and no matter what I press, nothing will happenk, until I reset it. Then it turns on and same thing repeats.
    Help anyone? ?

    Hi Srslyvplus,
    Have you tried Clean Up?

  • MBP (Christmas '09) 13inch keeps getting prompted to restart after closing a program; mainly Safari

      Hello all,
I got my MBP 13 inch Christmas, 2009 and loved it.  Everything was immaculate up until about 5 mos. ago.  Many wierd things have been occurring.  For example, I have had MULTIPLE instances where I would be on Safari v10.6.8 and would scroll down or click a link and would either first see the spinning wheel after which it immediately shut down, or would notice that it was taking a while to do whatever, and then shut down (Safari, that is).  I would re-open Safari and within the same time that it took to first shut itself off, it would do it again. and again. and again.  I would then usually restart the system, after which everything was fine.  On other multiple occurrances, when I would close down a program (mainly Safari... same version), I would get back to the desktop, and would, within seconds, see the "Tinted Curtain" as I call it, where the screen goes almost fully dark from top to bottom, mandating that it needed to restart, whereupon after restarting, I would get the disclaimer saying "Your computer shut down because of a problem.  Would you like to report it",Da Da Da...  I have always kept up with all updates to programs (that I use) when prompted to do so by the 'software update' thing (mainly Safari, ITunes, and Security updates), and have never downloaded anything wierd, or not authorized by Apple Co.  If anyone has any info or suggestions as to what may be going on or how to fix this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Photoshop Elements 12 will not restart after closing.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.  If I close Photoshop Elements 12, it will not restart.
To get it to restart, I have to open the Windows Task Manager and then stop the process "PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe *32".
Once I stop this process, then Photoshop Elements 12 will restart.
Is there a know solution for this?

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Editor which will bypass the welcome screen.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
    Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Editor application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
    C: >> Program Files (x86) >> Adobe >> Photoshop Elements 12
Within the Photoshop Elements 12 folder find PhotoshopElementsEditor (the application not the Adobe shortcut)
Select that file and click Next.
    Then click Finish.
You should now be able to launch by double-clicking on the new desktop icon and hopefully the application will close correctly.

  • Found solution to faiulre to restart after closing PS9

After all attempts of suggested solutions and no remedies, decided to insert DVD install (iMac operating system) before erase and install went to utility disk and erased or formatted the disk, then I re installed the operating system did all the updates to date and then loaded back all documents , files , applications and important to me the mail files located in the library, obvsiouly have an external hard drive to store all data. the computer (iMac late 2009 version 10.6.8 snow leopard with 3.06 GHz intel core duo , 12 Gb 1067 MHz DDR3 and the star up disk Macintosh Hd 1 tera) is working like never before and the issue of failing to re start has gone away for good. One clue that I noticed on this overall problem was lots of bad permission issues as well as ACL found in the wrong places despite previous attempts of repair including failed attempts from the dvd install Utility disk so if you have similar symptoms you may try this painful solution. (you are going to hate it before loving it)

Is this about Photoshop Elements ? what is teh exact problem, PSE is causing you?
    Please explain.

  • Since my last upgrade, Firefox will frequently not restart after closing a session unless I reboot my computer. How can I fix this?

This problem just started within the last two weeks, but it happens several times per day (not every time I quit a Firefox session, but often enough to be really annoying).

hello, this is currently a bug when you have set firefox to clear your history during shutdown of firefox in the privacy options. this is going to be fixed in the next version of the browser - for now you can run the firefox 30 beta version which should no longer be affected by this issue: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/

  • Restarting maintenance plan after closing notification

    Hello all,
We want to implement scheduled maintenance plans based on time criteria. That is, for example, that every 2 months an equipment should be revised by a technician.
But sometimes this equipment is visited by a technician, out of the scheduled date, creating a notification and closing it, in that case the maintenance plan shoud be restarted after closing notification of that equipment,
I guess we could achive it using some notification EXIT , for example EXIT_SAPMIWO0_020, but we do not know if there is a function module or anything to restart the plan,
any help would be really apreciated,
    Thank you,
    Xavi

    Hello all,
thank you very much by your answers,
The problem is that we need in some cases to restart the cycle of the maintenance plan.
Let's say we have scheduled notifications every 3 months in an equipment located 40 Km from the factory, for example a fridger. The BackOffice receives an alarm telling that the equipment does not work at all, and a technician goes there in order to solve the problem.
The tech solves the issue, and he decides to make a sanitization of the equipment, which is out of the scheduled plan (for example it was supposed to be done in 20 days, but the technician decides to do it now, in order to spare the Km)
The decision is right, but the plan says that in 20 days the tech should go again to the equipment, which is false, he should be there in 3 months, that is, restart the cycle.
Anyone knows a function module the restart the cycle, used from an Exit of notifications (when closing the sanitizacion done by the tech?)
    thank you,

  • Adobe Premiere Pro.exe and Dynamiclinkmanager.exe *32  not stopping after closing PP CS6.03

PP 6.03 will not restart after closing program.  When I try to re-start nothing happens when clicking on the PP6 icon. Looked in task manager and found that Adobe Premiere Pro.exe and Dynamiclinkmanager.exe *32  are not stopping after closing program. Once I manually stop the processes PP will restart as normal. This is on Win 7 Sp1, HP Elitebook 8760W Matrox MXO2 LE. Also Audio meters are not active during capture, can't change clip name during capture.

    Hello Elcuad, and Canino video,
Please verify the following steps and report back  your findings:
    - uninstall the currently installed MXO2 effects and drivers
    - go to control panel - user accounts - and locate the account you are using, then drop down the UAC level all the way, ok and reboot
    - download our 7.02 driver with Internet Explorer, followed by our effects
    - after the files are downloaded, right click each file, go to properties, and confirm they are not blocked, if they are click the unblock button
    - reinstall the Matrox driver, again, the one we just downloaded, followed by the effects, reboot
    - go to start, all programs and locate the premiere icon, hold shift and ctrl keys down, and launch this particular icon, keeping the keys down until the application opens up
    - please build a new project and try it out
