So, maybe this will help ya. I tried almost everything what was written almost everywhere on this forum..
Except one of them... I really didnt want to format the player and loose all the files.
But after some time I was so desperate, that i did it... ) now I'm importing 6323 files in my zen M ))
maybe the only thing and the only way how to fix the problem is format..

Zen Vision M Connection Problems

I am having problems connecting my player to the computer. I am running XP. When I plug in the player, I get three rapid tones from the computer. When it is unpluged, it gives the usual to tone indicating that something has been disconnected. The Zen softward is up to date. It gives me the message that no player is connected. The player itself works fine with no problems. I have recently added Norton 360. I turn off the Norton firewall but it has no affect. Any Ideas?

Download and install in this order:
. Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.0.38
2. Creative PlaysForSure Devices Plugin 5.00.36 for Creative MediaSource
5 Player/Organizer
3. Creative CD Burner Plugin 5.0.3 for Creative MediaSource 5 Player/Organizer
You can leave out last step if you don't wnat to use Organizer - although that is the only piece of s/ware I use regularly.

Zen vision:m chargin problem with USB ca

I've got vision:m for months , and during this time I used to charge with USB cable , and didn't have any problem , but it doesn't charged earlier , actually I hooked it up to my USB last night , and there was blinking icon up to today , but no any progress . so I use its original cable(electricity) and?it's going to charge?.Should I going to warranty company for this problem(doesn't chargin with USB) ?thanks for sharing your mind ( and pardon for my english )?Message Edited by MTahmasebi on 2-3-200604:5 PM

I'm saying it is WMP0 because the firmware file sees the player. The computer can recognize it but with WMP components that firmware file would be grayed-out..So when you reloaded the firmware did you choose "reload firmware" Before you connected it's?(That is what erases the firmware prior to uploading the firmware. If you did not do that it could cause it to fail.Do these ste

Open the firmware file,On the player format>cleanup>choose reload firmware, then connect & run the firmware file.

Well as the title mentions, I'm about to throw this thing oute of the window!!!
It's a 30 GB Zen Vision M, I own it ,5 years now...
I have read all the relevant posts in the forum about this player, I tried my best, nothing really worked.....
So now I have a Zen which only boots in the recovery mode!!
I have Cleaned it Up, Formated it, and tried to reload its firmware BUT when I connect it and try to reload it, in the end it always says Firmware Upgrade Failed!!Really can't understand it!!!!!
I've communicated with Creative, i wasn't at all satisfied with their responses... I think what they're trying to do is to avoid me, and earn some time with really useless suggestions which I had already told them won't work!!!So in the end they wanted me to send my Zen in Italy and pay more than 100 Euros for what an ,5 year old mp3 player?No I prefer buying a new Cowon with that amount of money!!!
Anyways I'm pretty mad now, so I'll move to the subject..
I have Service Pack 3 Windows XP in my computer, and I did roll back on the Media Player 0 from the I had, using the instructions from a previous post. The truth is that it rolled back with less steps than it showed, and I say that because it mentions in a step that in the add-remove programms, in the Windows XP-Software Updates section, I should find a Windows Media player thing which really doesnt exist and I suspect it's the Service Pack 3 because I have done the same in a SP2 and worked exactly as the steps said..Anyway the fact is I have Windows Media Player 0 now!!!
Please someone tell why can't I upgrade my firmware... I can't deal with this anymore!!!!

Zen Vision 30GB Firmware Problem - No solution wo

I have a Zen Vision 30GB (not a Zen Vision M or W, just a Zen Vision). On Friday I was trying to add songs to my Zen and halfway through adding the songs I got an error on the computer saying "player not connected". So I undocked the player, turned it off and reset my computer. Saturday morning I turned on my Zen to try to add songs again and I got the error message on my Zen?"Firmware Problem" and it put me in "Recovery Mode". The first thing I did was try to reload the firmware, but when I plugged the Zen to the computer it says "docked", but I cannot move through the menu. When I unhook it from the computer I can move through the menu. BTW I am running Windows Vista 32-bit. I have uninstalled the Zen software and installed the software off the Creative website for Vista, but when I try to run the firmware it says "Player not connected, please connect player."? When I plug the player in via USB my computer recognizes it and prompts me if I want to sync my player, so there isn't anything wrong with my USB connection. The?Device Manager recognizes it however Windows Media Player does not. I get the same error message when I try to do the Recovery Tool on the Creative website. I have looked for solutions on the forums and just doing Google searches, but I have not been able to get anything to work. Please help me!? The player is less than a year old. I have never had any problems with it before, never been dropped or anything like that, so i am not sure what is going on. Any help or suggestions would be great!? I sent an email to customer support yesterday and the reply I received this morning was no help. First they thought I had the Zen Vision M, even though I specifically said I had the Zen Vision and gave them the serial number and everything. I sent them back a message today and hopefully they can help, but it is frustrating having to send an email and wait around for a reply.

What I did was format>cleanup>reboot the device thru the recovery screen on the the player. Problem solved . Zen Vision M 30GB Problems? I have a used Zen Vision M 30 GB. I have?a few questions, along with some problems.
My player has to "rebuild" at least twice a day, is that normal?
When a song is playing, is the song name, length of song, etc supposed to be displayed?
Now the major problem:
I can not get either my laptop or desktop to recognize my player.
On the desktop (Windows XP?SP3)?it seems to constantly refresh the Device Manager as an MTP device. while it continues to do this I can see the device is giving me a Code 0.
On the laptop (Windows Vista) it searches for a driver, but the search fails. It does not continuously refresh, but still gives me the same "Code 0 This device can not start" message.
On both computers it says "Docked" on the player when plugged in and also charges.
The player plays well once it makes it through the "Rebuilding" stage.
I thought about formatting it, but?I was not sure that would do any good with this problem. Plus there was a lot of music left on the player from the previous owner that I rather like.

No rebuilding that often if not normal. You seem to be having symptoms of hardri've issues. Now have you done a cleanup>reboot on the player?CHARGE PLAYER BEFORE DOING THIS? http://forums.creative.com/creativel...ap&thread.id=3? That may help with the constant need to rebuild(kinda like defragging the dri've) Use a REAR usb port when connecting to the computer & try using a different usb cable. DO NOT CHOOSE RELOAD FIRMWARE ON THE RECOVERY MENU

I have exactly the same problem, but its because i've had to re-install windows and it wont deect it atall. Ive emailed creative support waiting for supply. i hope i get an answer soon

Creative Zen Vision M Vista Problem(s

I have recently purchased a creative zen vision M and its a great player. However I am having problems with vista ultimate 64 bit edition, it seems everytime I connect my player it stalls the player (it locks on the dock screen) meaning I cant access files on the player. I have the lates creative media source , play for sure plugins and the latest firmware (it dident stall before I put the latest firmware on)
THe player docks fine on my spare Windows XP machine, but it would be nice to have it dock with my primary machine which is sadly vista :P lol
Any advice/comments ?

Zen Vision :m vista problem

Hi everyone, I?m having a problem with my Zen. I?ve searched the forums and could not find anything that could help me. So maybe one of you knows what to do.
So here's the rub: My player works fine with my old laptop, it runs XP. I just purchased a new( and considerably more badass) laptop that runs Vista home basic. When I plug the mp3 player into the vista machine it( the mp3 player) freezes immediately and has to be reset. It does not freeze when plugged into my XP machine. Will reformatting the mp3 player fix this? The only reason I haven?t done this yet is cause Im trying avoid erasing the thing. If not that then what?
So?.help me please and thank you.

Do a Cleanup.Reboot on the player. (NO Reloading firmware)

Zen Vision M Screen Problem

As of a few days ago, my Zen Vision M has had these horiztonal white lines on the screen, and they run through everything (movies, music, wallpaper, etc.). They obviously aren't part of my wallpaper, and changing the wallpaper or reformatting the ZVM doesn't work. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this, and assuming I would have to send it in, would my extended warranty cover the problem?

Try updating the firmware, but if that doesn't help I'd recommend getting in touch with Customer Support.

Zen Vision M sound problem

I had my zen vision m for about 4 months, and suddenly the player's sound became really scratchy. The sound is scratchy and barely audible, although you can hold the player at a certain angel, which stabalizes the sound a little. I notice that the sound changes when you move the player, making me think that its the disk problem. Changes in EQ, change earphones, disk clean up, does not work. Help please!

Hi, sorry but i?m nervious, I?ve a problem, I hope you can help me. My Computer detects my Zen Vision:M how hard disk (extras/hard disk) i have not problems with that, but not how a media player, i can't transfer any mp3 or avi or whatever through the creative mediaSource Organizer or with the creative media explorer (the options are in grey, and appeer a tittle " your media player is not conect.Conect your Zen Vision to the PC or something alike).
My PC is really good (with XP, a lot of RAM 3Gb...you know), and i?ve installed the software too, what is the problem? What am i doing bad?.
I?ve had 3 Mp3 before and i never had that problem.

Creative Zen Vision M Display Problems

I purchased a Creative Zen Vision M MP3 player around 2-3 years ago and it's been great so far. I've even bought most of the accessories for it!
I switched it on today and found that there was a problem with the display - it's gone taint and there are stripey lines across it. Any idea what this might be?
I've tried to reset it and plugged it into the television through the AV function and it displays just fine on the television.
I've sent off an e-mail to Creative but just wondered if anyone has experienced something similar? And if so, how did you get it working again?

I have a brand new zen vision M that has some firmware issues. it essentially has no firmware on it, and when i connect it to the computer it only has 50mb of space. I'm running windows XP service pack 2

My Zen Vision M battery problems. not normal and i cant find ans

My Zen Vision M will have a full battery or almost full ( used slightly in the mornings usually) and i turn it off then later in the afternoon it will be dead. why? some one plz help me !!
i usually use it on the bus. in the morning and i want to use it in the afternoon, but it wont even turn on. would it help if i bought a new battery , or a wall charger? thx ~ xavi
oh , and when i turn it back on in just like an hour , it usually will turn on again. but it will drain faster.

Thanks for you answer and sorry for the caps!!?The player do not charge in usb or ac adapter mode..When i try to turn on the palyer with a ac charger plug in, i see a minimal flashing blue ligth on the power botton but the palyer never turn on... In?usb mode..nothing....2 days plug in my computer and nothing...My player have warranty yet, but im outside of United States, im in Venezuela and i want to know if here exist a creative office because i need repair my player..i do not understandig why this player "dead" too soon...
