Zen Vision:M Problem, Not being recognised by computer tried everyth

My player used to be able to connect fine to my computer however now it doesnt recognise it at all. Windows media player is installed, I tried all 6 USB ports with no success and it doesn't appear in device manager. I have also tried on a different computer with th same results. This has only started happening recently. When I attempt to plug the player in it turns the player on, then turns itself off after the idle time kicks in. I tried fully reformatting the player, it still doesnt work and now i am left with an mp3 player without any songs on which I cant put any songs on. I have already tried emailing customer support but the page appears to be broken. I am getting mighty fed up with this as I don't have the money to fund a new mp3 player.
Any help would be appreciated,

having nearly the same problems with my ZEN V 2GB.
After first install the player is recognized normal but if i plug it off and on again to the usb cable it isn't recognized anymore.
In the device manager i see the zen but an error message that it couldn't be started (code 0).
things i have done: deinstalled and reinstalled software, got newest firmware, tried every usb port.
having media player on the pc. tried to return to an earlier version but i couldn't roll back.
as i see the problem might be the usb port or the software. for myself charging times are very long. took me 5hours to get it fully loaded. might be also the same thing.
creative support is hard to reach because the site seems to be broken. but i get a confirmation e-mail that it will take -3 days....i hope tomorrow there will be help

If the iPod isn't powering on and you are positive that you are using a working USB cable and plugging the iPod into a working USB port or wall adapter, it could be a sign of some hardware issue with the iPod such as a dead battery or damaged/faulty logic board.

Help.. brand new Ipod 80gb not being recognised by Computer or itunes

Replaced a ipod mini that was stolen from my house with a brand new 80gb ipod. Plugged it into the same computer that had been used successfully with the mini and the ipod will not be seen by either the computer or itunes. It will charge through the usb post no problem but when you plug it in it originally came up with the windows new hardware wizard, as apple have for some misguided reason stopped supplying CD's, the wizard can not find the correct driver, and fails to install. When Itunes is running nothing appears. I have been through the 5 R's, or should I say 4 r's as the fifth rely's on itunes recognizing the ipod before you can restore, countless time, so please unless you are sure don't ask me to click the hold button on and off yet again.
Plugged the ipod into an old laptop with USB 1.0 ports and the ipod was recognized which would suggest it is my main comp's usb ports that are at fault, but as two previous ipod mini's worked without fault I find this hard to believe. I think if only I had the correct driver to install I could solve this problem easily. Can anyone send me the correct driver for an 80gb ipod.
It hopefully goes without saying that I have downloaded the latest itunes software and gone through all the post's on the this site. I thought I'd cracked it with the UBSSORT file post but it was not to be....to tell you the truth if it's this complicated I'd rather send it back and buy a sony mp3 or even an ipod nano. At my wits end so please help Obi one, your my only hope

Help please error 552 plus not being recognised by computer on 8520

I was wondering if anyone could help I have tried everything to fix the 552 error on my curve 8520 but nothing is working and now the phone will not connect to my laptop, I have tried apploader now it says current device is up to date, desktop software says cannot connect to device (from the start) and phone does not do anything except sit on with a white screen with "reload software 552" written on it.
Could someone please help?

As your device is not detecting you can try Application loader to force the detection of your device to load the OS ,please refer to the Knowledge Base Article :

But remember in this process you will lose all data within your device, I hope you have your Backup.
Additional Information : KB18751 : Error " Reload Software :552 " is displayed on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Ipod not being recognised by computer.

I have followed all the steps of turning off Ipod and turning off computer..re installing Itunes and my computer and Itunes are still not recognising my Ipod. When I hook up my Ipod the "autoplay folder opens and then browses and then closes. The Itunes says no ipod connected and shows the number for my old Ipod ID. I went into disk managment and tried to change the Drive to I, but its showing it as a K removable drive and I isnt an option. Please Advise.

Cable not being recognised by computer or phone.

I have a nokia e50. and i am using a ca-53 cable. I have downloaded the latest version of pcsuite but when i connect the phone to the computer the computer doesnt show it, and also on the phone it doesnt say that it is connected (which im assuming it would do)
I have tried turning phone on and off.
restarting computer
different usb sockets
i also have also changed the data cable mode to pc suite, data transfer and ask on connection.
please help.

your phone is old the the socket is worn out. after you have connected, try turning your phone over (so the screen faces the table surface) and then changing the angle of tilt of your phone.
yes, you will need to hold on to your phone the whole time.
i've faced this problem too, so i know.
dont bother sending it to the nokia center. they never fix things properly and this problem will still occur.

I finally downloaded the new changes to ITunes. I am on Windows 8 & have an Iphone 3.
What happened was that I lost all my music & tones.
I used the laptop to go back to my last backup to restore only to find that it would not restore my music. Also, fb is not downloading as an ap anymore.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this please.

Facebook requires iOS 4.3 or 5.0 or higher, neither of which the iPhone 3G is capable of running.
To get the media back on the new computer, copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.
FYI backups do not include media or apps. The media and apps must be in the iTunes library on the computer.

IPod still not being recognized, I've tried everything!

My iPod was working fine up until about a week ago. Now it won't be recognized by any computers (I've tried my sister's laptop and parent's PC, my laptop is currently busted). I'm positive the problem is with the iPod itself because my little sister's iPod (not the exact same one, but an older version of it) worked both on my sister's laptop and my parents' PC. I've tried all of the 5 R's, except Restore, which I can't do because my laptop won't recognize the iPod. I ran a diagnostic test and everything seemed fine...I got these numbers for my SMART test and I don't know if they're bad or good:

You could try this:
turn off your ipod, by holding down the home and sleep wake buttons until it turns off. disconnect it from your computer. hold down the home button, whilst plugging the ipod into your computer. itunes should then recognise an ipod in recovery mode, and will ask you to restore. this may help, as it will force the ipod into recovery mode

I did everything re-installed itunes, restarted computer etc and I finally went into DFU mode. Itunes recognised then but said it needed to be restored. At wits end i did this, now i have no phone as itunes wiped everything but since it wont recognise it again i cant get the phone past the connect to itunes/emergency call screen. I also tried deleting the file "com.apple.usbmuxd.plist~orig" but i cant seem to find it where they said it would be. If i can find this file apparently this will help me but it simply not there.
Really hope that someone might have an answer that will work for me because i really need my cell phone back

Zen Vision M problem, album art is not showing

I am embedding the album art into the ID3v2 tags, as i assumed that it would show up when browsing my albums. But the art is not showing up and i have no idea why.
I had another problem which seems that my Zen is reading ID3v tags, a lot of my music was not being recognised, even with v2 tags, and was only recognised when i filled in the v tags also. Does anyone have suggestions as to whats going on here? It is a Zen Vision M 30gb, with the latest firmware, and i use Tag & Rename to edit tags and add the art, Im also on Vista if that changes anything.

Hi Boxy !
For now, you can't zoom in the Album Art, but it can be a new feature on a future firmware. To hack it somehow, you have to mess around the system folder which is inaccessible...

Reinstall Facetime application.
Check system profiler for your inbuilt iSight camera by looking at Hardware > USB > Built in iSight.
Perform an SMC/PRAM reset:
SMC RESET:
Unplug all cables from your machine including the power cable. Hold the POWER button for 10 seconds.
Plug all cables back in and boot machine.
PRAM RESET:
Locate COMMAND+OPTION+P+R Keys.
Turn on the Machine.
Hold down these four keys.
Until you hear the startup sound for a second time.

My new ipod is not being recognised on my pc.

Reintstalled the latest Ipod Sw 2005-26-6 (and the original version 2004 8-6)when the latest load didnt work. reinstalled iTunes and tried to restore my ipod.. when i do, i have a pop up that says that the ipod is locked!!. I have gone on the aple support website and it tells me to format my ipod for windows i need "iPod for Windows Software 1.0" but it states that this is not found on the Apple website! My original pacjkaging only had the one disc with itunes and ipd sw (no specfic Windows sw)... And even if this sw is on the disc.. it wont connect to my laptop as its formatted for a mac!! Im going on holiday in two days.... PLS HELP ME.

I have the same problem! My iPod worked for about 2 hours and then, it froze and turned off and now all I get is a sad iPod icon. I have done everything and it will not reset/restor/go into disk mode or anything. I have downloaded all new software and my PC won't recognize anything.

30gb Zen Vision M problem

Hi, I'm currently running Vista and my Zen Vsion M upto now has been working fine.
My firmware version is .30.02
Recently, everytime I transfer media from my computer to the player, the transfer is normally unsucessful or for example, half an album is transfered. (I then receive a message about skipping the transfer as the device has stopped being recognised),
I therefore tried to "clean up" the player and then formated it via the recovery mode. However this hasn't helped at all, I'm now I'm stuck trying to transfer media to the player.
The only time the player seems to be able to transfer media is immediately after it has "rebuilt" itself, after I use the reset button.
But after about albums worth of transferring, I get the message about skipping/skip all/cancel, after I receive this message the player is then unrecognisable to the computer and will only be recognised again after being reset once or twice.
I've also tried downloading the firmware MP3 recovery tool, however everytime I try to upgrade, I receive the message: "Upgrade failed!"
Is there anyway one can upgrade the player's firmware without using the MP3 recovery tool?
Or does ?anyone have any better suggestions?

Sounds like your hardri've is failing & will need replacing. Not hard to do & less exspensi've than buying a new player with all the features it has. I'm in XP SP3, removed WinMediaPlayer to install the WMP 9 because the 0 is not compatible with SP3 I think,
The zen is automatically in Recovery mode when boot, because I have tried all the possible and I have erased the firmware by "reload firmware" but without being connected to the computer,
I tried the recovery tool, but not connected...
So, I'm sure that some guru has the solution, and I'm convinced that this zen is not dead!

You're right the Zen is not dead. It needs a firmware to work & it doesn't need to be connected to the computer to erase it. It does however need to be connected to a computer to reload it. First you will need to install WMP0. http://www.filehippo.com/download_wi...edia_player/9/
You then need to charge the battery When its charged & turned back on you will choose Format>Cleanup. You then connect player to see that Windows can see the device. Once you can see that it is recognized in Device Manager you will Disconnect it from the computer (use rear usb ports)
You will need to download the firmware file for the player to the desktop & open the file.(do this before you connect the player again)http://support.creative.com/Products...me=MP3+PlayersOn the player before you connect it to the computer that has the firmware file open & ready to go you will choose Reload firmware connect the player to the computer(use rear usb port) choose your language & let it run. (the autoplay window may open DO NOT CLOSE IT)
The reason it did not work before with WMP9 is that the driver is a part of WMP0.
