Zen vision video cable for pocket projector

http://www.anythingbutipod.com/archi'ves/2006/04/zen-vision-m-video-cable-other-4pole-35mm-pinouts.php
has anyone tried this to their video out cable that can let me know if it works? I don't want to go out and start splitting wires after a single article so i'm asking here. I just bought an aaxa p pocket projector http://www.aaxatech.com/products/kp9..._projector.htm for my zen but i'm also thinking about getting standard cables to hook it up to the TV or monitor. The aaxa p works fine at night and as a mobile toy to project the zen image but washes out with the lights on as you can see here:

otherwise, it looks great in the dark.

soooooooooo i need to build a cable that lets me hook up the zen to my tv or computer monitor. Please let me know if anyone has tried this.

I had the same problem with mine. I had to use the sync adapter that came with the player?to plug the cabe into & I also had to update the firmware on the player. Hope it works for you.

  • Nokia Video Cable for n95 vs Cheap Video cable, wh...

Hey, so im interested into understanding why the nokia video cable for n95 costs around 40€ in my country while you can get a very very cheap one for no more than 6€.
What are the advantages of nokia 1 vs a normal 1? does it scale the image to a higher resolution than the phone 240*320? does it offer anything else at all than basic video/stereo audio output?
Im rly curious since i find the price just ridiculous if its the same!
IF anyone has any information ill be gratefull, thank you all in advance!

Nokia video cable comes with, if i am not wrong, 6 months warranty and you can expect quality though not that well in the video but in the cable. A friend of mine bought a video cable for his 5800 from other shop it worked well, make sure you dont buy a very cheap product which maynot be compatible with the phone, better test infront of the shop person if possible.

  • Dynex Component Audio/Video cable for iPhone doesn't just play music?

I just purchased Dynex Component Audio/Video cable for iPhone and it plays video, but not music. It only works when I'm using Neflix or the video component of the iPod. How do I get it to just play my music?
If I run the iPod music and open Netflix the music will play, but that is just a roundabout way of getting it to play audio and is silly. How do I get it to just play audio?

don't think so but the component rely on normal analog signals using RCA connectors
you can find tons of 3.5mm minijack connector and 2 rca connectors in the other cables
they are dirt cheap and you can even make them yourself

No, you need the new cable that connects to the connector on the bottom, not the audio jack. The 3g Nano and Touch need the new cable.

  • Video cable for hp nc6400

    Hello,
Can you told me, are the video cable for nc6400 competible with video cable for nc6000?
    Thanks.

    Hello @svatanasov ,
To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since the Compaq nc6400 and nc6000 are commercial products. You can do this here Notebook - HP ProBook, EliteBook, Compaq, Slate/Tablet PC, Armada, LTE
I did take the time to pull up the service guides for each notebook to compare parts.
The nc6400 uses display cable 418898-001 (for the WXGA+ display) or 418897-001 (for the WXGA display).
The nc6000 uses a different display which is the XGA (344396-001) or SXGA+ (344397-001) which don't appear to have a replaceable display cable. I managed to find some with a simple search on Amazon and Google but considering the displays are different I would assume these are not cross-compatible which would mean you cannot use one cable in another.
To be sure, I would post in the commercial forums as it is monitored by community members that are more familiar with the commercial products.
    I hope this helps!

  • Video cable for the Iphone 3G - audio only, no video output to TV

I have been reading that with the iphone 3G you HAVE to buy apples video cables in order to play back video on your TV, is this true?
I just got a cable for christmas and it isn't officially licensed by apple and the video does not output to the TV, only the audio. I hope this isn't the case, but maybe it is true??
If my cable isn't working because of some need (forced on us by apple) to only use "apple" cables I will never purchase videos from itunes. It seems rather trivial to have to buy proprietary cables for more $$ in order to buy videos from itunes doesn't it??
In other words... Give us more money so you can keep buying things from us.
Sorry, I am a bit frustrated.

    Let's be constructive:
BUT WHY doesn't it work? and how can we fix it/make it work?
my cheap 'non apple' video cable works fine initially, then a message pops up about it not being an 'offcial' cable or some such, then asks if I want to enable airplane mode (both with or without it already disabled), and disables video out completely. Contrary to the many others that have overpaid for your proprietary cables; I'm NEVER EVER EVER EVER going to pay you for your atrociously overpriced cables, because you're action of 'disabling' 3rd party cables is monopolistic in any sense, destroys any hope competition in this area, hinders innovation by third party peripheral developers, and is downright unamerican imho because it does so. You've gone to far this time apple! I've come to the conclusion, you obviously don't care about functionality, as your hardware is almost always overpriced, proprietary, good looking junk, and you keep shaking my pockets for more money with your overpriced accessories and constant barrage of itunes streamery.
Anyway, how can I use my device to do video out on this officially licensed apple dock I have? It doesn't seem to work; and I paid a lot of money for it. If there isn't a solution; maybe you should give out refunds for all the devices that now don't work? Thanks

  • Creative Zen Vision data cable: where to buy o

I lost my Zen:Vision data exchange USB cable a few months ago, i have since bought 2 more from amazon which only work for charging uses. Their description stated they could be used to exchange data, but they don't seem to work with my PC.
Does anyone know where i can buy a replacement (official) USB cable?

    Hi,
If you have not already, it's best to get in touch with Customer Support in your respecti've region so that they can advise on the availability of the cable.

  • What s-video cable for a DVI to S-Video adapter

    Hi,
I have an old MiniG4 lying around, which I thought I'd make into a media centre.
I bought the Apple DVI to Video Adapter (<http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9267G/A>) which is specifically for a Mac Mini and I thought that I had an s-video cable too, but clearly I have the wrong one.
The cable I have, has a single plug at one end and the red/white/yellow plugs at the other end. The single plug is a headphone-jack style, but with 3 yellow connector 'stripes' instead of the usual 2 black ones, but this plug doesn't fit in the DVI Adapter's yellow socket. It's too wide.
Can anyone tell me what cable I need to work with the DVI Adapter? Should it be 2 plugs to 3, or 1 plug to 3? (I'm in Europe, if that changes anything)
(Why don't Apple tell you what you need on the product page at the Apple store???)

    Thanks for the replies.
I found the correct cables ... really dumb that Apple sell adapters but doesn't tell you what is required for them to work.
Anyway, it works really well. I was surprised at how good the output is. Just like the original DVD. The only place I can see any artefacts is on a totally black screen. Should it be of interest to anyone else reading, I used Handbrake on preset AppleTV but with FFMPEG instead of H624 (which took incredibly long to encode) and choosing to maintain aspect ratio and 100% quality.
I'm also using the iPhone to control via Apple's 'Remote' iPhone app and I bought 'Rowmote' as well, which gives more control.
The G4 Mini is the 'stealth' version, the last one they made with a slightly faster processor and a more capable video card. It's adequately powerful for running the movies and acting a media hub.
All in all, I'm quite happy.

  • Video cable for n97mini

Is there compatible video / av cable for n97mini? I mean for watching photos and videos on tv?
I have a ca-75u cable that came with n95, but the quality isn't very good as if it wouldn't be compatible.
Some Sony televisions can use my phone as a computer connected via usb, but it is very clumsy choosing every picture one by one...

  • 2nd Zen Vision 30GB player for daughter from New

The first unit kept freezing, then had to up date firm ware, this worked for about hour then froze again. Finally the unit completely froze, looked like the Matrix. The second unit just received froze when she was viewing the jpg pre installed photo's. I deleted all the free ware and transferred three CD's. I checked everything out and it all seemed to work, but then this morning she just started to listen to a song and it froze and would not turn off or change tasks??Has anyone had this kind of problems with this Vision unit. This is not the M. Thanks.....

  • Wanted: Zen Vision M wallpapers for desktop

    Hi,
I have a strange request: I really like the design of the wallpapers offered on the Creative Zen Vision: M. I am trying to find 024X768 versions of them?to use on my desktop PC. I've scanned Google countless times without any results.Does anybody have those, if they do exist?Cheers.

The only harddisk-based PMP available would the Zen Vision:W and there are people who said that the new flash-memory based Zen Player is a replacement of the Zen Vision:M .
I do still see?a few units?of the Vision:M sold at some retail stores here in Singapore but they are basically just clearance models.

  • How can i use apple tv and iTunes movies with component video cables for an older receiver and projector?

i have an older yamaha receiver and projector both without hdmi inputs but component video instead. I would like to get apple tv and start renting movies through iTunes but apple tv only supports hdmi and ive read that iTunes has codes to prevent the use ot analog cables with movies. Is there a way to adapt hdmi to component video for both apple tv and iTunes easily?

Yes, HDMI is the only supported method. Also, with converters you will run into issues with HDCP (which will prevent you from streaming DRM content from iTunes etc) as well as resolution.

  • Zen vision M: playlists for vide

Hit there!?I bought this player a few days ago, and i love the quality and freedom. But there is only one thing that puzzles me, why isnt it possible to make playlists or play more than one video at a time? I have about 70 musicvideos in the player and when me and a friend was out driving car and was listening to some of the music we played some of the videos because i simply didnt have the songs in mp3 format. Then it struck me that i have to manually choose a new musicvideo to play every time one ends. It im right, and there is no way to play more than one video at a time, i would be more than happy to see a firmware update with the function to play more than one video. I dont think its hard to implement this.

    indeed it is...

  • Video conversion issue for zen vision m 3

hi all im brand new to the forum. i seem to have 2 issues.firstly i cant find any free software to convert dvd to a file format supported by my zen vision m.anyone have any ideas?secondly (and this is the big one), i am really disappointed with the video feature of my vision.i had a zen micro before and thought it was fantastic.software was great, menu system was great.so when it was time to upgrade there was no question it was going to be a creative again.but when it comes to the supposedly supported video file formats i feel i've been duped.if i use the video converter in the software (for avi from my camera to wmv)?it tells me theres no audio.it wont work with mp4 files at all.that just freezes my zen.why do they claim it supports mp4 when it doesnt ?has anyone got this problem too?i have the latest firmware upgrade so it cant be that. thanks folks

I use AVS Video Converter from http://www.avsmedia.com/. I think it costs about $30 if I remember right. It converts practically?everything that isn't protected. They even have presets for the Zen Vision, although not for the Vision:M or Vision:W. However, it lets you easily make your own presets. The program is fast and very easy to use once you learn it. However, there is a bit of a learning curve. It has a good, simple interface but they don't hold your hand. The help is also very good. I've been using it for about 2 years and I'm glad I have it. By the way, I'm a customer of theirs and I don't get anything out of posting this. Barry?
