Zen X-Fi 2 screensaver clock bug

There is a bug on screensaver clock so it shows 00:00 every time it bumps up when the hours change.
I menan if the clock says 5:00 for example the screen saver clock says 00:00 untill a minute past so untill 5:0
Don't know if the problem persist using 2 hours clock instead 24 hours format i personaly prefer 24 hours format.
last firmware version installed

-Re: Zen X-Fi 2: Problems with snooze function?Hi again,
unfortunately I experience some more strange behaviors of the alarm function
- if I deactivate the alarm and just wait, the snooze function seems to be activated automatically - that's good - but then the snooze function will not work max. 3 times as if snooze has been chosen manually, but only 2 times (max) - why?
- if headphones are plugged (and the player is off) the alarm will be played through the internal speaker - that's good! But if I then choose Snooze, the player will not play the alarm any more through the internal speaker but the headphones... why?
Just if I switch the player off after choosing snooze, the it will be turned on automatically again and the alarm will be played throught the speaker. Why not always through the external speaker? (or both external and headphones)
All this is not very satisfying, as I have been looking for a mp3-player with alarm and sleep-timer (b/c that are the functions I use almost 00% of the time) and the alarm & snooze does not work as one would expect... :-(
I really hope the "bugs" can be fixed soon...
Thanks a lot! pacman2

  • The time in iCal, iMail, and Screensaver clock is incorrect

*I've noticed that the time given for events in iCal is always displayed as 7:08pm and the time that is displayed for all of my emails regardless of what time they were recieved is displayed as 7:08, and the time displayed in my screen saver is also stuck at 7:08. The clock in the upper right corner of the screen is right on though, and is working just fine. I also noticed that in iCal the time scale in the day mode is gone, it just says -sat- where there should be a time, except for noon which is displayed as such. This is just a little problem that has been bugging me lately if anyone has any insight into how this can be fixed please let me know, i can take screen shots of some of the examples if needed.*

  • E71 Screensaver clock issue

I recently figured out how to get the standby clock and date up (by disabling the breathing light). However, it only displays the time in which the screensaver came on. The time is completely static from the moment the screensaver comes on. If I go back to my phone after an hour, the time hasn't moved from whatever time it was when it was activated, which is clearly useless.
Anyone experienced this or know how to actually get it to tell the correct time?
    Thanks

Yup, that is right because I had the same problem. Prior to upgrading to an E72, I updated my E71 to run the 400FW and that fixed the problem. Check to see if yours is update-able.

  • E66 screensaver clock issue

When i lock the phone, first the screen dimmers, after 30 seconds the backgound gets black and in one row there is date and clock displayed. However the clock stops and showing always the same time. When i unlock the keypad the clock is normal as it should be.
This issue started with software update. I updated the software today (22.8.09) to newest version, but the clock is still displayed wrong ??
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

well in the newer models, the whole idea of screensaver had been eliminated in order to get max battery saving mode out of the phone. my n97 has no screen saver feature at all. i use a third party software in order to have the screen saver but that only show when i press the button. that does not bother me tho. i am sorry you are having issues but i thought i would throw a very simple solution your way to consider. just that.

  • 1969 clock bug

I would like to know why Mac Os X goes back to 1969 if you have a problem with shutdown or the battery clock.
Why 1969, we are on 2009 that is 40 years ago, why on the mac os x updates they don't change that clock date to 2009.
This 1969 date bug causes a lot of problems with ical, mdnsresponder, and I am sure more programs that sometimes you don't know.
For example mdnsresponder creation date is in 31 december 1969
Could any please explain to me why all computers return to that date, is that date the first apple released?

If for any reason your internal battery stop working or you have a power failure then your computer will start having problems, this is not a BUG?
No, it isn't a bug. This is exactly how it is designed to work. Maybe you don't like the design, but that doesn't make it a bug
If you still think it is a bug, please explain how the system should be changed to act differently. How will your system maintain time without any power source or access to external systems. What do you want the system to do under these circumstances?
Maybe it should use some solid state device to remember what the last time was. That'll work real well - turn off your machine for a day and your clock loses a day - maybe not enough of a difference for you to notice, so you carry on for a week or more with all your dates off by one day, then you repeat - maybe you go home for the weekend. Now you're two or three days off. You are progressively degenerating. How is this better by an all out approach of resetting the clock to 0 - a situation the OS can detect and will warn you about the next time you boot.
The mac computers are the best and they have to fix any problems like the 1969 BUG.
It's still not a bug, but even so, find me ANY other system that has the capability to magically maintain date and time settings with no power source. No Windows system can do this. No Linux system can do it. No Solaris, AIX, or HP/UX system can do it, either.
Do you know that NASA is predicting a large increase of solare flare by 2012? This increased solar activity can disrupt power distribution and communications. In 1989 6 million people lost power when a huge increase in solar activity caused a surge. All indications are that the next solar activity peak will be worse.
So what? That's completely irrelevant because 99.99% of all systems have a functional battery that will maintain the clock when the power is out. Replace the battery in your system and you can sleep well at night, too.

  • N8 screensaver landscape clock

Considering the CR122 car holder supports landscape mode (for navigation purpuses I believe), it would bea  _really_ nice feature if the screensaver clock could also sense and support the  landscape position so I could properly read the time from the phone while it's in the car cradle and I'm not using the maps.
    Thanks

Considering its alarm functions etc the ws landscape mode of the phone makes for a great bedside table clock, (tallscreen looks daft and is far less stable), I simply cannot understand why the basic default screensaver big clock does not support landscape mode. I guess the designer at nokia was happy to give everyone the excuse for work with a crick in the neck because the time is displayed 90 degrees out of rotation.

  • [BUG] apple's Clock timer app

Setting timer to 35 minutes makes a 34 minute timer on the clock.

I usually don't update immediately, in order to let others figure out the bugs.  Evidently 6.1.2 still has some significant bugs, according to some, and I've been holding off.
However, my son just updated his iPod to iOS 6.1.2 and this Clock bug is now fixed.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Bugs in ZEN Mozaic EZ300 (firmware 1.04.02)

Creative ZEN Mozaic EZ300 (firmware .04.02) BUG REPORT:
Bookmarks remembers only current track and position within it. Current list of tracks and position of current track within this list are ignored.
So opening of bookmark opens the list of one track (without previous and next tracks)
Pause + Shutdown doesn't remember position within the track.
So next turning on displays last track in the initial position.
(though Shutdown during playback works correctly)
My previous players was ZEN Nano Plus and ZEN Stone Plus with built-in speaker. I really enjoys them.
I have bought EZ300 thinking it will be even better.
Though impossibility of folder's navigation disappointment me deeply.
The last advantage of EZ300 was bookmarks. But they appears buggy... :-(

    Hi Severov,
. Bookmark, Pause + Shutdown issue
I have a test unit with me and it is behaving as you described. I wouldn't call it a bug but rather your feedback of the product. I am sorry but I will not be able to comment on why certain features work this way or why has it changed etc.
2.Creative Central - issues with creating correct playlists from MP3-filenames with national characters
I am not familar about this issue, I will make a note of this and see if I can find out anything.
    3. What is Creative's plans for new firmware version?
I am sorry but we are unable to comment about?this mainly because such information is not available to us.

  • Clock problems after IOS 4.2 upgrade

We have 2 Iphone 4 at home, each connected to a different computer ( 1 Mac, 1 PC ).
After the upgrade to IOS 4.2 both have a problem with the clock. When the phone is put on "update clock automatically" ,the following happens (We live in Belgium)
-Phone 1 switches to summer time as soon as a connection with the provider is made. If you go to fly mode, or put the clock on manual, the correct time is displayed. This occurs wherever you are so it is not linked to the information provided by the cell tower. After a hard reset and restore, this problem was solved.
-Phone 2 is even stranger. I was in NYC a few weeks ago and set the clock manually on EST. Back in Belgium everything worked fine until after the upgrade. Now the clock will go to EST overnight, ie when I wake up in the morning at 7 AM, it is suddenly 2 AM in the morning. Here, if you go to manual setting of the clock, then switch back to automatic setting, it works fine again.... until the next morning ! And I don't switch off the phone at night
I guess a hard reboot + restore will be needed as well.
Anybody else came across this problem ?

Since 2 days I have the same problem with my Iphone.
I also live in Belgium and my phone was all of a sudden 1 hour ahead of our local time. I modified the clock settings to manual and then the time switched back correctly. Today somewhere between 8 and 11 AM I noticed the clock was 1 hour ahead again. I adjusted the clock settings to manual again and the clock is correct again. How come this is happening ?
It all started since my upgrade to version 4.2.1.
Can someone please take a look at this ? For the record I use the 3 GS 16 GB version. My provider is Proximus.
Seems my favorite Apple is starting to look a lot like Microsoft since this is the second major time/clock bug in a few weeks.

  • Nokia N8 Belle Alarm Clock Issue

I was finally able to update my N8 to Nokia Belle a week ago and was reasonably impressed with it's attempt at an Android Froyo kind of thing, it is a step in the right direction. However-
I set a several alarms for between 6:45 and 10am today (I'm a fairly heavy sleeper). I snoozed the first alarm by turning over the phone to give me a few more minutes of sleep. The next thing I know, my sleep is breaking and it's 9:32am! All without a sound from any of my alarms.
I looked at my phone, and saw the box with 'Stop' and 'Snooze' on it, for the 6:45 alarm, as if it had just been activated and was waiting for me to choose either option. I pressed 'Stop' to get rid of the box and suddely similar boxes for all the other alarms started popping up in rapid succession, only then. What happened???
I was willing to wait 6 months past the original release date because I assumed such bugs were being sorted out properly; a smartphone shouldn't still be grappling with Alarm clock bugs - it should have better things to do. I'm hoping there's a quick solution to this problem, as I cannot wait two years for the next update. Please advise!
Also why does shuffle deactivate everytime I return to my song list? Seems silly, really - I don't want to have to keep turning it back on.

    First thing First!
AlarmClock: Being Honest! theres no such issues with the Default Alarm app. U might hav done sumthing unusual during sleep or your app had been crashed or it might b buggy or may b sum RAM issues.
    Its not a General issue.
I myself is a Heavy sleeper lke You!
    I too set 7 Alarms within 6:30 - 10:00 range.
All works fine with my Nokia N8-00 Belle.
MusicPlayer: Yeah! this had been a big problem for Music lovers that when you are Dazzling on SHUFFLE mode & once you clicked on a particular song in a list, the SHUFFLE is de-activate itself.
It might be a problem for Some people, but Logically speaking If you are in A Shuffle mode, u should not interrupt the playlist, if you do it gets deactivate automatically.
Nokia got a point this time
In Love with Nokia, Symbian & N8-00

  • Alarm clock sometimes going off hour early.

I was under the impression that this alarm clock bug was only affecting people in other countries after daylight savings. However, it is happening to me in Chicago right now!
I noticed this yesterday when an alarm I use everyday, woke me up an hour early. it just did the same thing again today. I tried to "trick" it by setting an alarm this morning for an hour later, but strangly it went of at the time I actually set it for.
Anyone else having this problem in the USA?

Yes, since last weekend, an alarm is now going off an hour early every day. Hope you get an answer.

  • Missing features and bugs in 2.2 update...

Missing features and bugs in 2.2 update...
    Here is my shortlist:
    1. Copy/Cut and paste - sadly still missing...
    2. Landscape view for keyboard - SMS and Email - still missing...!
    3. AM/PM indicator missing from "unlock" screen (in 12 hour clock) - BUG
... What's wrong with Apple these days - all of these issues (listed above) could have been easily implemented in version 2.2 and were frequently requested by all iPhone users since version 1.0 and yet Apple have ignored all of them...

These features may or may not be that difficult to include, but what made you "fork out huge amounts to pay for a 'top of the range' iPhone" in the first place?
As already provided, Apple has what is called their own "allocation of resources and prioritization", and if what is included doesn't meet your needs or wants, you should not have purchased an iPhone in the first place, or continue to keep using the iPhone if Apple doesn't include the features you need or want in a time table that meets your expectations, since there are plenty of cheap $100 phones that meet your needs or wants, you have a wide range of other phones to choose from which are less expensive, so that is exactly what you should do. No point in continuing to use a device that does not meet your needs or wants. Use one of the many less expensive devices you have to choose from that meets your needs or wants and move on.

  • Screensaver password lock did not work

    A strange event!
When leave the computer I switch the screen saver to turn on in 3 minutes.
I have had Security Pane checkbox for require password to unlock screen set.
I also have the require password to change System Preferences set.
Every other time I have left the computer it is locked when I return and requires
    a password to unlock it.
Except this time it did not ask for a password. The screen saver was on but no
    password was requested.
I then checked the Security Pane and noticed that the check box was deselected???
Although I have set that all preferences require a password to change, I noticed that in the Security Pane the check box "Require password to wake this computer from sleep or screen saver." can be changed without entering a password? (I think this might be a known "bug".)
This is really weird and has me a little worried. Have I been hacked into?
I check the obvious logs but the only thing I saw was:
    16/11/2008 8:25:37 PM System Preferences[30497] * -[NSLock lock]: deadlock (<NSLock: 0x1bed44c0> '(null)')
16/11/2008 8:25:37 PM System Preferences[30497] * Break on _NSLockError() to debug.
Then the System Preferences application hung.
Any ideas? I went through the system and error logs but nothing really obvious.
Are there any other logs I should look at?
    OSX 10.5.5, MacPro. 8 core.

Yes re checkbox, this is normal apparently.
But the fact that just this once my screensaver ran without locking and then System Preferences app crashed after I started using the computer again.
I am concerned whether someone could have hacked in some how or with physical access somehow broke in.
I notice that there are a few mentions of screensaver security bugs:
    http://www.securinfos.info/english/security-advisories-alerts/20030705Mac_OS_X_Screensaver_Password_BypassVulnerability.php
    http://osvdb.org/34863
    http://www.macobserver.com/article/2003/07/07.7.shtml
Now I have the problem of trying to determine whether I have been hacked.
    Any suggestions?

  • 5800 - have ANY bugs been fixed?

My 5800 has a few problems.  It is 7 months old and still under warranty.
The firmware is v30 and since the update I've noticed the following:
    - alarm clock bug - alarm and snooze don't go at the time set.
    - internet browser drops and closes whilst surfing.
    - streaming real player radio is very intermittent and keeps buffering or drops out completely.
    - display locks and 'black' screen during real player streaming.
I may have other faults not yet noticed but my question is, are the above problems actual faults AND can they be fixed forever.  I don't want a hard reset or re flash for the bugs to return.  I've spoken to Nokia who say send the phone to the care centre but I don't want a yoyo phone back and forward with bugs that Nokia have yet sorted.  I understand v31 isn't any better but I cannot update to that here.
I don't want a phone with problems and am at the stage I want to reject the phone as not fit for purpose but Nokia say they can fix it.
    Can they??  Have they?

Hmm, well the only issue I have with the 5800 is the same one as the above poster said. The phone doesnt handle this website very well, but it does work very good on other websites. For one thing a lot of the bugs has been fixed as the only bugs I've ever encountered is the Nokia Forum bug and the sometimes closing of the browser. However its seemed that the browser problem I was having is related to the signal strenth of the wifi spot  was in, so no biggie. Also, Opera Mini 5 is a phone saver in terms of the web browsing experience.
All in all the phone is awesome.

  • TravelSound with Alarm Clock Suggestion

Just a thought--does anything think it would be nice to have portable speakers for our Zen Micro that includes a clock w/alarm for when you are on the road? This way, you could listen to your songs and see what time it is. Also would be great for nightstand at home. Is this already available somewhere?
