Hi.
I wanted to know if the Zen X-fi Style would fit on the older Zen/Zen MX armband. or if there is an armband for it's
thanks in advance.

Tapieromateo,
I don't see an armband for the ZEN X-Fi Style yet. These are the dimensions for each player. It should give you an idea on the size of the armband you need.
X-Fi Style
Dimension: 83.6mm x 48.7mm x .7mm
ZEN MX
Dimensions: 83.2mm x 55.0mm x .9m
ZEN X-Fi Style: 83.6mm x 48.7mm x .7mm
ZEN MX: 83.2mm x 55.0mm x .9mm

  • Zen X-Fi Style crashes my PC

    Hi.
My new Zen X-Fi Style mp3-player makes my computer freeze up after a certain amount of time. It can be from 5 to 5 minutes, but it crashes nonetheless. I can only reboot the computer after this happens.
I have thus far tried to use an external USB hub, reinstalled motherboard drivers/usb drivers, checked the firmware update on the player and done almost everything in my power to locate the issue.
    Please help.

    Hi,
Have you tried a different USB cable?
Can you try connecting the ZEN X-Fi Style to another computer to see if it's doing the same?

  • Mars language in my zen x-fi style mp3

i?used Zen X-Fi before and just bought Zen X-Fi Style last month.
i import songs into this new player by Centrale.
when i check songs at the player,?i found all the chinese words are changed into mars words.
but the chinese words are normal as?shown in Centrale.
it doesnt happen in my x-fi player before.
so i type the details of the songs again.
    but still the same.
i also use mp3tag but still doesnt help.
is it the problem of the firmware?
besides, i can not find my player in the setting of the Centrale.

    Hi,
It's just a common USB cable. You can easily find it in an electronics store.

  • Deleting songs on ZEN X-Fi Style doesn't work

    Hello!
I got a ZEN X-Fi Style 16GB which worked perfect until like 2 months ago. My problem is, if I delete a track on a player using the player (not PC), "menu -> Remove... -> Remove Track", it shows that the number of tracks decreased, BUT if I connect the player to my PC, the track is still there AND if I go to "All Tracks", I see there the old number of tracks with that one I deleted earlier.
The tech. support couldn't help me. What I tried:
    - format the player using windows explorer
    - format the player using it's recovery mode (command "format all") - this just deletes everything but doesn't solve the problem
    - clean the player using it's recovery mode after "deleting" some tracks (command "clean-up")
    - remove the write protection on tracks using windows explorer: the player set it again during it's "rebuilding" procedure after disconnecting it from the computer
    - use the Creative Centrale to upload tracks to the player instead of just copy it to the player using windows explorer.
    - reinstall the firmware (I already had the newest firmware installed)
    - google for it, search this forum, search the knowledge base
    - the tech. support suggested downloading a recovery software http://www.creative.com/products/mp3...ol/welcome.asp but I think my player is not supported by the software because after choosing my player I am being redirected to the player's page which doesn't contain such programs.
    some facts:
    - tracks are MP3, no DRM protection
    - OS: Windows 7 x64
    - I play it over "All tracks", no playlists or something like that
Any idea what else could I try? This feature (deleting tracks on player) is very important to me.
I do very appreciate your help.
    Thank you!
    Kind regards
    Kyfe

This is really a bad issue. I think unless you are in the warranty period please change it once again and more over please if possible perform the deleting task over there

  • Zen X-Fi Style not recognized on Creative Centrale anymore

    Hi,
I have a Zen X-Fi Style. Usually I transferred music files via the explorer on my laptop and then open CC to label the files.
However, last time I connected the player, CC did not show it ... "My Zen" in the left column does not show
I tried all three USB ports on my laptop, different cables ... nothing.
I have no idea what happened (no new installations, no other changes ... )
    Help !

Thank you very much for your reaction, Collin!
My pc does recognise the player; also shows the files I put on it.
However, when starting CC (after pc has recognized player and all is still connected ) "My Zen" does not appear there anymore. With other words, I cannot view and edit / label files on the player via CC.
As it never was a problem before I'm puzzled now.
(Thinking about it, I'm not sure when I used CC last, it may be the case that it was before I installed AVG premium anti virus .... Could that have any influence on CC....???? )
I really hope there is a solution because pittily enough, the files on the player cannot be labled without CC, to my knowledge ...
    Kind regards,
    Sigrid

  • Zen X-Fi Style has problems with large numbers of tracks

    Hi.
I use my Zen X-Fi Style to listen to audio books. But if the audio book has more than 250 or so tracks(256 maybe) the player are unable to list the tracks in correct order. The? tracks are listed in correct order in Creative Centrale but in the player they are listed in the following order:? 256, , 257, 2, 258, 3. etc.
    Anyone experienced the same?

    Hi Kokchoy,
sadly this is happening every start-up.
    I already tried the following:
copy files to the player by explorer
copy files with Windows Media Player (Win7) --> synchronizing
    --> But nothing changes yet.
It went faster when only 8 files were on the player.
    Also:
Everytime the player was connected to my laptop, it starts "reorganizing" afterwards, although no file transfer has taken place. Reorganizing takes up to 2 to 4 min, too.
currently I tried out firmware versions .00.04 and .00.05e. The behaviour stays exactly the same.

  • ZEN X-Fi Style 16GB Specs...? Are They Correct?

This is what is listed on the site: 6.22" long and high .5" thick
    Product Details:
    Product Length:6.22 inches
    Product Width: .5 inches
    Product Height:6.22 inches
    Product Weight:0.44 pounds

I think KokChoy-CL just answered your question; The dimensions he/she mentioned are correct.
The dimensions on the link you gave to Creative's site are not correct: 6.3 inches is obviously a mistake.
For your convenience I converted the dimensions to inches with the help of google calculate, and I got these numbers: 3.3 x .9 x 0.46 inches.
These (probably more accurate) numbers are also shown on this site:

  • Zen X-Fi style RSS

Could anyone explain how to use the RSS feature for this MP3 player? There doesn't seem to be anything in Creative Centrale and when plugged in to the USB port the player displays the message "docked" and it is not possible to access any of the functions on the player. Help would be appreciated thank you.

'I can create the playlist in creative central in the library. When I highlight the playlist thumbnail the option "transfer" is greyed-out, meaning I cannot transfer to player.
I can transfer a track, but the option to transfer playlist does not work.

  • Charging an X-Fi Style

Some time ago I purchased a Zen X-Fi Style. It will charge from my computer, but not from any other charging device, e.g. I have a charging device that plugs into an AC outlet and one that plugs into my car lighter. These work great with my older, now broken, Zen 4G.
I see on the Creative website that they have a AC charger that they say will work with the Zen X-Fi. Is that the same as the Zen X-Fi Style? Also, does anyone know if there is a charger for the Zen X-Fi Style that works in a car which is where I most need it?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Marcus

    Hi,
I am not aware of a car charger but there is a power adapter in the online store that works with the ZEN X-Fi Style.

  • Zen X-Fi3 sync problem

I have a 8GB Zen X-Fi3 mp3 player that I recently bought. My problem is that whenever I plug it into my desktop, it appears to be automatically syncing up with the music and pics that are in my hard drive. When I plug in to my computer, the Zen player says "Transferring" and doesn't stop saying this. Since my hard drive contains over 130 GB of music and over 20 GB of pics, it has filled up my mp3 player already. And when I go to Explore to try to delete music from the mp3 player, it doesn't recognize the port that I am plugged in on. Is there a way to disable the auto-sync function on the mp3 player? Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hello FantasticPlace,
Base from the knowledge base article, it's possible.
    5. USB car stereo connection:
These connections will only read your player through "removable drive". In this case, the USB port would apply only for Mass Storage Class (MSC) players such as a ZEN X-Fi3, ZEN X-Fi2, ZEN Style M300/M100, ZEN X-Fi Style, ZEN Style.

  • X-fi Style 32gb questions...

Hi,I would like to buy a Zen x-fi Style 32gb from your website, I just have a few questions... If for any reason I'm not happy with the product, am I able to return it in the condition I received it for a full refund? What is the time period for this? Also, I li've in New Zealand, how would this affect the warranty you offer. Any help would be great. Thank you?

    Hello DanielBradley,
    Welcome to Creative forums!
As far as I know, the store's return period is 30 days from the date of purchase. My apologies but I'm not very sure about the full refund. For the warranty, it is normally year. I suggest you get in touch with <a rel="nofollow" href="http://sg.creative.com/corporate/about/companies.asp?nav=Eur]customer support[/url] just to make sure.
You can also check from the reailers in New Zealand. Here's the list. I think it will be easier (return/replacement/refund) if you buy from one of the stores in NZ.

  • ZEN X-Fi3 and Kenwood in car head unit.

    Hi,
Will the ZEN X-Fi3 work and play nicely with my Kenwood in car head unit?
My old Zen MicroPhoto played over aux-in, but refused to do anything over USB.
Have things moved on, will new Zen devices operate over USB, thereby giving full device control through the Kenwood head unit?
    Thank you.

  • Travelsound x-fi. compatible with x-fi style?

I'm looking at the new x-fi style to replace my old zen. does the travelsound x-fi work with the x-fi style?
for that matter does the travelsound zen mosaic work with the zen style?
i know they don't want to show and advertise that these are essentially old players with a new look, but it'd be nice if they would at least say "Hey, these new(ish) players will work with these older speaker systems, so you can actually have something to listen to them on instead of the tiny built-in speaker!"
    so.... anyone have any ideas?
    thanks

    Hello Nickweed,
    Welcome to Creative forums!
I don't think the ZEN X-Fi Style works with TravelSound X-Fi. The position of the of USB and Audio/AV ports are not aligned with that of the TravelSound's.

  • Running, Excersing with Zen Mic

Im thinking about purchasing a Zen Micro Phtot and was wondering if I will be able to run or excerise with it's I thoughht if it is a mini-hard dri've, I could be more acti've with it then a regualr hard dri've player.

Your choices in terms of space is really just a Nano until more companies come out with larger flash players. If you want features then there are many players out there with alot of features packed into a 52mb or gb player... yes its not much but you got the features part down.
So unless you want to wait it out for more flash players to come out in a larger size or take a risk with a hard dri've player + arm band combo and see how far it goes... But its just a caution that it is not recommended to use a hard dri've player while working out.. Even if it does have an armband attached to it. And I'm not even sure if the Zen MicroPhoto has an armband accessory.
