Zend optimizer message

Hello,
I recieved a "zend optimizer"' message on my remote site and
my service provider fixed it with a fresh php.ini file. Now I am
getting the same message on my local machine. (not sure what I did
in both cases to make it happen).
I have attempted to install Zend Optimizer on my local
machine (intel mac) from what I have seen there are compatibility
issues that are not going to be fixed soon of ever. What can I do
to lose the message when I click on internal links?
TIA,
Stephen

Unfortunately Zend will not be made for Mac OS 10.5 in a 64 bit version. The company has decided not to develop a version for Mac 10.5 64 bit. They have an alternative free product but it is similar to installing MAMP Pro and changes all your PHP, MySQL, and other dependencies It is a sad day.

  • Zend optimizer, Php 5.3 and Snow Leopard server

    I'm looking to install Zend Optimizer on Mac OS X 10.6.4 Server but it's seems
    that the latest version of Zend Optimizer is not compatible with the 64-bit version
    of Apache and PHP 5.3. Anybody with a solution?

    The Server version is for machines that are serving small to medium to large networks. It provides various security and account management tools not available in the Client version. For a single user you don't need the Server edition. Furthermore, it's quite expensive by comparison.

  • Use of Terminal to install Zend Optimizer... HELP!

    I'm new to this... Zend's installation instructions aren't the greatest when it comes to installing Optimizer 3.3.3, at least for someone with my lack of experience. I see that I have to run Terminal to install. Zend's instructions read as follows, and I don't see "dir" where I can change "dir to a directory in Terminal. Also, where do I find out the package name? Here are the directions:
    To install the Zend Optimizer on UNIX Variants:
    1. Open a terminal window and change dir to the directory in which the
    Zend Optimizer package was saved.
    To untar the package use the command:
    gunzip -c <package name> | tar xf -
    2. From the extracted package's directory, type the following command:
    ./install.
    The installer is launched
    ALL help is appreciated. I am lost!
    Thanks.

    Maybe I'll wait on doing this then... I am trying to install a web store module to my business' current website. It would be fairly easy (meaning something I could handle) if it wasn't for the requirement to install Zend Optimizer. When it comes to Unix I really don't have any experience. This stinks. What would you suggest, if anything? All I need to do is install this one thing. Here's the link to the install instructions, unfortunately, for me it's a little more complex that I would have thought to install. After Zend Optimizer in installed, all I have to do is upload web store files to my site via FTP which is something I have experience with.
    Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks so much for your help (and warnings, which I am heeding)!

  • IPhone 4 accessibility optimization message

    I just got my new iPhone 4 on Monday. It was working fine and now all of a sudden today every couple of minutes I get a message that pops up on screen that says "This accessory is not optimized for this iPhone". I don't even have anything plugged into the phone! Is anyone else having this prolem? Any suggestions? I already did a restart of the phone and that didn't help... Thanks for your suggestions!

    Lint in the dock connector can create a short, thus generating that message. Look closely, use canned air to blow out, it doesn't take much. If the issue still persists, reset your phone: press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release(ignore the slide to power off). If no change, make an appointment at an Apple store.

  • One Key Optimizer - calibrate battery message everyday

    I am receiving One Key Optimizer message many times each day. The "Calibrate" option worked once and created the pop up error, i.e. the lmcfrundll.exe error. Now the One Key Optimizer "calibrate" button does not work at all and the battery is only staying charged for about 3 hours. Help.........

    Okay, so I tried the calibrate button again and this time it worked.
    Battery completely ran down and then recharged. However, the power
    indicator is providing inconsistent readouts of the power remaining, e.g.
    15 minutes ago it said that there was 2 hrs and 7 minutes remaining and
    now, 15 min later it says 2 hr and 43 min remaining. This happens all the
    time. Last night the battery ran down in three hours after charging all
    day. There is not any consistency with the battery's holding a charge nor
    its indicator providing a consistent readout.

  • Httpd fail to start after Zend Core installation

    Hi!
    I need Zend, so I installed it using this instruction.
    The problem is that httpd daemon faild to start after that.
    Here is my /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "/var/log/httpd/foo_log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "/etc/httpd" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "/etc/httpd//var/log/httpd/foo_log".
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
    # at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
    # httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
    ServerRoot "/etc/httpd"
    # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    # directive.
    # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to

    Here is my /etc/php.ini:
    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
    ; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior. In order for PHP to
    ; read it, it must be named 'php.ini'. PHP looks for it in the current
    ; working directory, in the path designated by the environment variable
    ; PHPRC, and in the path that was defined in compile time (in that order).
    ; Under Windows, the compile-time path is the Windows directory. The
    ; path in which the php.ini file is looked for can be overridden using
    ; the -c argument in command line mode.
    ; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and Lines
    ; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed).
    ; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
    ; they might mean something in the future.
    ; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
    ; directive = value
    ; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
    ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one
    ; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
    ; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
    ; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
    ; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
    ; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
    ; sign, or by using the None keyword:
    ; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
    ; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
    ; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
    ; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
    ; About this file ;
    ; This is the recommended, PHP 5-style version of the php.ini-dist file. It
    ; sets some non standard settings, that make PHP more efficient, more secure,
    ; and encourage cleaner coding.
    ; The price is that with these settings, PHP may be incompatible with some
    ; applications, and sometimes, more difficult to develop with. Using this
    ; file is warmly recommended for production sites. As all of the changes from
    ; the standard settings are thoroughly documented, you can go over each one,
    ; and decide whether you want to use it or not.
    ; For general information about the php.ini file, please consult the php.ini-dist
    ; file, included in your PHP distribution.
    ; This file is different from the php.ini-dist file in the fact that it features
    ; different values for several directives, in order to improve performance, while
    ; possibly breaking compatibility with the standard out-of-the-box behavior of
    ; PHP. Please make sure you read what's different, and modify your scripts
    ; accordingly, if you decide to use this file instead.
    ; - register_globals = Off [Security, Performance]
    ; Global variables are no longer registered for input data (POST, GET, cookies,
    ; environment and other server variables). Instead of using $foo, you must use
    ; you can use $_REQUEST["foo"] (includes any variable that arrives through the
    ; request, namely, POST, GET and cookie variables), or use one of the specific
    ; $_GET["foo"], $_POST["foo"], $_COOKIE["foo"] or $_FILES["foo"], depending
    ; on where the input originates. Also, you can look at the
    ; import_request_variables() function.
    ; Note that register_globals is going to be depracated (i.e., turned off by
    ; default) in the next version of PHP, because it often leads to security bugs.
    ; Read http://php.net/manual/en/security.registerglobals.php for further
    ; information.
    ; - register_long_arrays = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the older (and deprecated) long predefined array
    ; variables ($HTTP_*_VARS). Instead, use the superglobals that were
    ; introduced in PHP 4.1.0
    ; - display_errors = Off [Security]
    ; With this directive set to off, errors that occur during the execution of
    ; scripts will no longer be displayed as a part of the script output, and thus,
    ; will no longer be exposed to remote users. With some errors, the error message
    ; content may expose information about your script, web server, or database
    ; server that may be exploitable for hacking. Production sites should have this
    ; directive set to off.
    ; - log_errors = On [Security]
    ; This directive complements the above one. Any errors that occur during the
    ; execution of your script will be logged (typically, to your server's error log,
    ; but can be configured in several ways). Along with setting display_errors to off,
    ; this setup gives you the ability to fully understand what may have gone wrong,
    ; without exposing any sensitive information to remote users.
    ; - output_buffering = 4096 [Performance]
    ; Set a 4KB output buffer. Enabling output buffering typically results in less
    ; writes, and sometimes less packets sent on the wire, which can often lead to
    ; better performance. The gain this directive actually yields greatly depends
    ; on which Web server you're working with, and what kind of scripts you're using.
    ; - register_argc_argv = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the somewhat redundant $argv and $argc global
    ; variables.
    ; - magic_quotes_gpc = Off [Performance]
    ; Input data is no longer escaped with slashes so that it can be sent into
    ; SQL databases without further manipulation. Instead, you should use the
    ; function addslashes() on each input element you wish to send to a database.
    ; - variables_order = "GPCS" [Performance]
    ; The environment variables are not hashed into the $_ENV. To access
    ; environment variables, you can use getenv() instead.
    ; - error_reporting = E_ALL [Code Cleanliness, Security(?)]
    ; By default, PHP surpresses errors of type E_NOTICE. These error messages
    ; are emitted for non-critical errors, but that could be a symptom of a bigger
    ; problem. Most notably, this will cause error messages about the use
    ; of uninitialized variables to be displayed.
    ; - allow_call_time_pass_reference = Off [Code cleanliness]
    ; It's not possible to decide to force a variable to be passed by reference
    ; when calling a function. The PHP 4 style to do this is by making the
    ; function require the relevant argument by reference.
    ; Language Options ;
    ; Enable the PHP scripting language engine under Apache.

    ; NOTE: Using short tags should be avoided when developing applications or
    ; libraries that are meant for redistribution, or deployment on PHP
    ; servers which are not under your control, because short tags may not
    ; be supported on the target server. For portable, redistributable code,

    ; Output buffering allows you to send header lines (including cookies) even
    ; after you send body content, at the price of slowing PHP's output layer a
    ; bit. You can enable output buffering during runtime by calling the output
    ; buffering functions. You can also enable output buffering for all files by
    ; setting this directive to On. If you wish to limit the size of the buffer
    ; to a certain size - you can use a maximum number of bytes instead of 'On', as
    ; a value for this directive (e.g., output_buffering=4096).
    output_buffering = 4096
    ; You can redirect all of the output of your scripts to a function. For
    ; example, if you set output_handler to "mb_output_handler", character
    ; encoding will be transparently converted to the specified encoding.
    ; Setting any output handler automatically turns on output buffering.
    ; Note: People who wrote portable scripts should not depend on this ini
    ; directive. Instead, explicitly set the output handler using ob_start().
    ; Using this ini directive may cause problems unless you know what script
    ; is doing.
    ; Note: You cannot use both "mb_output_handler" with "ob_iconv_handler"
    ; and you cannot use both "ob_gzhandler" and "zlib.output_compression".
    ; Note: output_handler must be empty if this is set 'On' !!!!
    ; Instead you must use zlib.output_handler.
    ;output_handler =
    ; Transparent output compression using the zlib library
    ; Valid values for this option are 'off', 'on', or a specific buffer size
    ; to be used for compression (default is 4KB)
    ; Note: Resulting chunk size may vary due to nature of compression. PHP
    ; outputs chunks that are few hundreds bytes each as a result of
    ; compression. If you prefer a larger chunk size for better
    ; performance, enable output_buffering in addition.
    ; Note: You need to use zlib.output_handler instead of the standard
    ; output_handler, or otherwise the output will be corrupted.
    zlib.output_compression = Off
    ; You cannot specify additional output handlers if zlib.output_compression
    ; is activated here. This setting does the same as output_handler but in
    ; a different order.
    ;zlib.output_handler =
    ; Implicit flush tells PHP to tell the output layer to flush itself

    Hi Garyalbert,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community!
    I’m sorry to hear that you are facing the issue with No POST on ThinkPad X240.
    To resolve the issue I suggest you to perform power drain, to go with power drain option please removing power adapter and battery. Hold the power button for 30 second and then connect only power adapter and try to switch on the system. If the system is switching ON then connect battery and check it once.
    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,

  • Flakey ZEND / PHP - FB2 services. I think?

    this is driving me nuts
    I can use the application I'm developing ( Flex app hosted on a DV at Media Temple, mysql/apache + Zend )  - add and edit content just fine. Not a single error.
    However :-(
    Others using different OS/Browser/Network/Locations problems are getting intermittent "Channel Disconnect" errors. Sometimes it works, sometime it does not.
    I change machines/browser from my house and - still no errors!  Mac / PC, Chrome / FF / IE
    Even trying to debugg the errors from my end is proving tough - because no errors are being thrown.
    Any tips on how to find out what is going on. I use Charles my end to get at the RAW response, and this has been helpfull in the past.
    <membercontentservice:MembercontentService id="membercontentService" fault="Alert.show(event.fault.faultString + '\n' + event.fault.faultDetail);" showBusyCursor="true"/>
    Any help appreciated.

    Hi,
    I would be looking at zendAMF, one thing you could do is update to the latest ZendAMF, 1.10.2 , and see if this helps the situation.
    http://framework.zend.com/download/amf
    If the host you are using has zend optimisation make sure its disabled, zend optimization is nearly as flakey as ZendAMF. Zend have been promising for some time now to improve the performance of ZendAMF( I think a lot of the issues people experience can be related back to performance, the internet wasn't designed for products that have to think to long about how they will respond to a request.).
    I don't know what the size of data is you are retrieving but if there is room to optimize what you 'fetch' that could also help.
    David.

  • Calendar script needed

    I need a recommendation for a PHP calendar script. It should
    have both a
    large display for use on a single page as well as a small one
    for use in
    a sidebar, like on a home page. The script needs to be able
    to handle
    links from within an event and must be easy for a user to
    update.
    And finally, it must integrate easily into an existing
    design.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

  • Oci8 unloaded

    I'm using oracle9i and zend core for oracle 2 running on Windows XP. My problem is, when I check under configuration --> extension oci8-oracle is not loaded. The note says" an inconsistency occurred between the server state and the php.ini state". When I run my PHP, it shows a error message "Fatal error: Call to undefined function oci_connect() ". I didn't changed any configuration after installation of zend core. Please help.
    Regards,
    Liza.

    I'm running into the same problem. I followed the installation instructions for Oracle 10g XE and Zend for Oracle. The phpinfo() doesn't reference php_oci8.dll specifically. In fact, there doesn't seem to be any mention of oci* at all anywhere. Even when I called the dll directly (putting in the direct path into the php.ini file) it didn't work. Default installs on Oracle XE, Apache, and Zend.
    Apache is 2.2.4, PHP is 5.2.3. Zend is 2.0 I tried all of the versions of php_oci8.dll offered on the Oracle website through their link on this page:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/php/htdocs/php-oracle-tutorial.html
    without success.
    I keep getting the same error:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function oci_connect() in C:\<<path to htdocs>>oci8_test.php on line 2.
    Here's the Zend section in my httpd.conf
    LoadModule zend_enabler_module "C:/Program Files/Zend/Core For Oracle/modules/apache2.2/zend_fcgi.dll"
    FastCgiConfig "C:/Program Files/Zend/Core For Oracle/etc/fastcgi.conf"
    AddHandler fastcgi-script .php .php3 .phtml .inc
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3 .phtml .inc
    <Location /ZendCore>
    Order deny,allow
    Allow from all
    </Location>
    Alias /ZendCore "C:/Program Files/Zend/Core For Oracle/GUI"
    The section of the php.ini file:
    [Zend]
    extension=php_soap.dll
    extension=php_oci8.dll
    extension=php_sockets.dll
    extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll
    extension=php_pdo_pgsql.dll
    extension=php_mysql.dll
    extension_dir="C:\Program Files\Zend\Core For Oracle\lib\phpext"

    fastcgi.impersonate=1

    zend_extension_manager.optimizer="C:\Program Files\Zend\Core For Oracle\lib\zend\optimizer"
    zend_extension_manager.debug_server="C:\Program Files\Zend\Core For Oracle\lib\zend\debugger"
    zend_ini_file="C:\Program Files\Zend\Core For Oracle\etc\Zend.ini"

    zend_debugger.allow_hosts=127.0.0.1/32
    zend_gui_password=<<removed>>
    And the sample code I'm trying to run:
    <?php
         $conn = oci_connect('hr', 'hr', '//localhost/XE');
         $stid = oci_parse($conn, 'select city from locations');
         oci_execute($stid);
         print '<table border="1">';
         while ($row = oci_fetch_array($stid, OCI_RETURN_NULLS)) {
              print '<tr>';
              foreach ($row as $item) {
                   print '<td>'.($item?htmlentities($item):' ').'</td>';

  • Need a calendar recommendation

    I've had my iphone for about a week and love it but I'm not a fan of the calendar that came on it. So I'm looking for app recommendations. I need the ability to set a custom repeat (ie every 3rd day, Tue/Thur, MWF). Syncing with a web-based calendar would be nice but not totally necessary since I have my phone with me at all times. If you have recommendations of calendar apps that will do this please share. Thanks in advance.

  • PHP refuses to load ZendOptimizer 3.3.9

    I've got Apache and PHP running properly, however whenever the server starts I get the following error which is preventing the ZendOptimizer.so module to be loaded in :
    PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php/20060613-zts/ZendOptimizer.so' - /usr/lib/php/20060613-zts/ZendOptimizer.so: undefined symbol: compiler_globals in Unknown on line 0
    PHP v 5.2
    Zend v 3.3.9
    Anyone have an idea what I could do to resolve this ?

    Forgot to post that I've found the solution here ...
    Seems that Zend Optimizer 3.3.9 no longer ships with the thread safe modules as did 3.3.3.
    The issue was not that PHP was not finding the Zend modules, but rather that when loading it, it was throwing undeclared symbols.
    The paths printed above suffixed with -zts are perfectly normal since I'd recompiled the PHP module with --enable-maintained-zts.
    Looks like I'll either have to stick to 3.3.3 or build a business case for switching over to fastcgi and 3.3.9. Been dying to do the latter anyways, so yay !
    Either way, thanks for the help.

  • Flash Builder 4.5 Auto-Gen Code For PHP Data Service Produces Errors

    Hello
    I'm currently running a fresh install of MAMP on my Mac and when I start a new flex project, add a php data service that pulls from a mysql database I have. Everything works fine until I try to compile. The error I'm getting is 'uid' being the primary key which is a bigint(20). The file _Super_Users.as (auto-gen based on the user table below) reports 2 errors: [Managed] requires uid to be of type 'String'. (same error on 2 lines of code) Now the MySQL table wants it to be a int, the auto gen code seems to want it to be an int as well but for some reason its putting in these requires for String on the getter and setters for 'uid'. The is before I even add any of my own code, just auto-gen then compile.
         * data/source property getters
    [Bindable(event="propertyChange")]
        public function get uid() : int /*error line*/
            return _internal_uid;

            var oldValue:int = _internal_uid;
            if (oldValue !== value)
                _internal_uid = value;
