Zenworks unable to log into the network

We have a Zenworks Configuration Management 11.2.2 environment with Active Directory authentication. The User source was pointing at a particular Domain controller with SSL authentication and working just fine. Today, the Domain Controller went down and I had to change it to another DC. I updated the certificate for the new DC and switched to it with no problems in the Zenworks Console. Now when users are logging into PCs with the agent installed it will generate an error and not authenticate to Zenworks. You are able to hit 'cancel' and login to the computer. If you try to manually login to the agent it will generate the following error:
"zenworks unable to log into the network because the login credentials or the server certificate is incorrect"
In the console, I am able to verify the User Source connection is correct and communicating properly. I have turned SSL on/off, switched the DC server back to the original authenticating server, and rebooted all the servers but I still get this error even on the Zenworks server themselves. I'm not sure what else to check. I found a thread with a similar issue but there resolution was to blow away the server and start from scratch. That is not a viable option for me as this system is fully set up and in production.
Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

I would start by testing LDAP Connectivity to the new server using a
native LDAP Toool. (Caution - Some MS LDAP Tools may not even use LDAP
but Use Std Windows Networking.)

  • 10.6.8 Unable to log into the network after update

    07-31-2011
    Server: 10.6.8
    Client 10.6.8
Just installed the latest updates for my snow leopard server and it will not accept my network login. I have quadruple checked the credentials and then some but it appears to accept the username and pass, displays the user avatar and then the dialogue box shakes displaying the error message:
"Logging into the account failed because an error ocurred"
It's not a very descriptive message but I checked online for some help but couldn't find much. This issue specifically happened after the latest server updates. I know I could use time machine and fix it, I fixed it before that way, but I would like to find a resolution for this issue if there is one.
Any help would be much appreciated.

After contacting Apple support I was told to rebind the machine to the server which did work initially. I was able to log in with my network login but when i shut down the machine later and tried to boot up and log back in, i was presented with the same error.
I attempted the same resolution and rebinded the machine but this time it didn't work. I tried multiple times but have had no success.

    ZCM 11.2.3a
Did not yet have time to upgrade to 11.2.4
    Random users get this problem.
    Exactly as described here:
    https://forums.novell.com/novell-pro...login-zcm.html
    I can do zac reg -g https://dns-of-zcm-server
and that will allow user login OK
But if I delete local profile & then change user password in eDir & try to
    login again same error happens
    That is just madness!

Difficult to duplicate, did you notice the random bit?
I am sorry, but error is identical. Surely there should be a different error returned for different issues? Or is it just a generic one for every/any thing?
    Why would
    zac reg -g
    fix it each time?

  • Report Viewer unable to log into the database

I'm fairly novice to ZFD Inventory and have a reporting issue when attempting to run from ConsoleOne (1.3.6f). Receive a Report Viewer error that states "unable to log into the database. Ensure the ODBC driver...".
TID 10094443 describes my symptom exactly but apparently doesn't apply. It applies to ZFD6.5 and we're running 7. Does the Oracle fix it refers to even apply to ZFD7 Inventory? If not, what does address my issue?
    Is it SQL now?
    Thanks for any help.

If you are using the Sybase database with ZDM7, take a look at the file \database drivers\odbcreadme.txt file on the Novell ZENworks 7 Companion 2 CD (downloadable from novell.com if you don't already have it). Page 347 of the ZDM 7 Install Doc also mentions this procedure:

  • HT4157 I am unable to log into the "View Account",

I am unable to log into the "View Account" on my iPad,  I have tried to Reset the account but never get sent an e-mail.  (I know what e-mail address it was originally setup with, but I did try all 3 just to be sure).   I also not not able to reset the Subscription, for some reason that is not an option anymore -  It was an option last week, I filled out the subscription to activate my connection, once I did the 3G went a way and that is when things started.
Just some other background - the same day this started,  I received error trying to watch unrented movies on my iPad.  When I tried to start watching, I received an error - "Unable to Open".  I am not sure this is related or not.
I have since reset the entire iPad,  (Reset all settings and Data) thinking this would fix the issue but no lick.
    Network is AT&T
    IOS is 5.1.1 (9B206)

    Any suggestions ?

I have had a similar problem trying to view my account with AT&T, it could be the AT&T server is down for viewing your account.

  • Unable to log into home network

I recently updated to ios 5.1 and can no longer access my home network. It shows up and I am putting in the correct password to join, but I am getting the unable to join network pop up. Last evening I upgraded the firmware on the Cisco router and this morning reset the network settings again on the phone as well as the "all settings" reset. I tried a full restore as well, and still no luck. Also I am now unable to get into iTunes from the phone as well. I know it's not the network due to my iPad as well as my wifes iPhone and her iPad, that have not been upgraded to a new OS, work fine. Any ideas would be appreciated before I throw the phone off the balcony.

  • Unable to log into the SAP River RDE environment (HTTP Status 405)

    Hi All,
Is anyone else facing this issue as well? I have previously been able to access the River RDE, but now I am unable to login.
From the Hanatrial cockpit, when I access my RDE subscription, and click on the rde link, I get an error message as follows:
    HTTP Status 405 -
    type Status report
    message
description The specified HTTP method is not allowed for the requested resource.

Getting the same error. Last week the RDE subscription did work. So I think that there is a general config problem (cause also no updates were done in the River RDE setting up documentation -> SAP HANA Cloud Platform).

  • I am unable to log into the Contribute administration panel through Dreamweaver

I am using Dreamweaver CS5.5 and I suddenly am no longer able to administer Contribute through Dreamweaver.  I click the "Administer Site in Contribute" button and the program appears to be checking files but, when this is finished, the password login window does not show up.  Any suggestions for solving this issue?

    Please try the following steps:-
    Choose Site > Manage Sites.

Change you password (set an incorrect password), then click Save.

    Now
Click on Select the Servers category.
Select the server to modify and click the Pencil icon.
Change you password (type the correct password), then click Save.
In the Site Setup dialog box, expand Advanced Settings, select the Contribute category.
Click Administer Site in Contribute. It would show you the password login window.

  • Unable to log with the SID OFR, SID OPR or SID ADM Id

    Hi,
We are trying to set up a high availability instance of our XIP
production system. We are planning to run a test to start up the double
stack with the network cable unplugged on the target machine this
weekend. However, we are unable to log into the target system with the
XIPOFR, XIPADM or XIPOPR user ID's.
We have replicated the IFS and libraries R3XIPDATA, R3XIP400, R3XIPOPT
along with the userID's, Groups, Etc. The hostname naturally has not
    changed yet.
When I try to call R3XIP400/R3INLPGM from my personal ID, I get the
    following message -
"R3XIP400/R3INLPGM: Could not retrieve system environment information"
Any idea of what I'm missing?
    Thanks,
    Craig

    Hi Thomas and Jim,
I'm recieved a similar thought from Ronny at OSS. I hadn't really thought it through since we can log into our mimix solution with the ofr ID, but there has been several switches done to replace hardware for our ECC system in the past since we were on 4.6B.
IMy thought was that if we just replicated the user profiles, /sapmnt/XIP and /usr/sap/XIP and all the libraries, that we could do a rename of the hostname if we needed to switch.
    Thanks,
    Craig

  • I can't log into the iTunes store.  What happened?

I have been unable to log into the iTunes store with the Apple ID and password I have been using.  I have money on my account and don't want to lose it by signing out.  I have also tried to reset my password without success...

I've been having the same issue since Friday, just before I updated to iTunes 8. Whenever I try to connect to the store, it says:
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection was refused. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."
My internet is working perfectly with all other applications. This is incredibly frustrating! There's a specific album I want to purchase but it is not available anywhere else for download.
