Zerizon Wireless Software Update Assistant

I have installed Zerizon's Software Update Assistant for my LG Revere Basic Phone. I have downloaded and install updates when I'm told there is an update for my VN150 with no problem but this morning I got and update notice and hooked my wireless up to download. It started to download and then if froze. Now all I can get is the white screen with the Verizon Logo, the LG Logo and the message: Downloading...Do not unplug
I've tried unplugging, restarting and taken the battery out and re-inserting. It goes back the that screen. I can't turn it off or anything.

    Hi roperdoug,
I trust that your wireless phone issue has been resolved by now. Unplugging your phone and removing the battery for 30 seconds will most likely allow you to power on again. If you continue to experience the same software update issue, please do a Master Reset http://goo.gl/ucqOD and then attempt to update your device.
Let us know if this resolves your concerns.

  • Wireless Software Update Freezing

why does my blackberry 8520, on a wireless software update, stop at 99% and just sit there? i've left if over night and come back and it still sits there... i've done a hard restart on it several times and will restart automatically and stop again at 99%.. i try to access it with the desktop software so i can back it up onto my computer, but the back up won't run now.. is there a way to stop the WSU from running so i can get my phone working again??
help me please before i lose my mind..

I don't know the "why". Maybe there's something that's hanging on the final activation.
If I were you, I'd scrap it and install the upgrade manually, which in my opinion is WAY more reliable for upgrading.
You didn't say what OS release it was... but, if you're on the 8520 model, the latest official upgrade is 5.0.0.900,

Device operating system releases are "released" by specific carriers once they have certified and trained their support techs, but still, you are able to load to any carrier's same model by following the instructions below.
    1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

    2. Please resolve your thread by marking the post "Solution?" which solved it for you!

  • Wireless Software Update

I have a World Edition 8830 on an Entrprise network running v4.2.2.196  I have followed the posts for wireless update however when I go to Options > Advanced Options, there is no "wireless update" option to chose.

HI.  I see you would like to update your blackberry to the latest version.  I will be happy to help you further     Since the update is not on your phone, you can go to http://vzam.net/blackberry/  to update your phone.
    Thanks!

  • How do I download ios5.1, there is no software update button in settings

I was going to download iOS 5.1 but then realized there was a more recent version out with numerous bug fixes caused by versions 4.3 and higher. So I looked up how to download it and every place said to go to settings, tap "General" and there will be a "Software Update" option for an 'over the air' wireless software update. But when I tried, there was no such illusive "Software Update" button.
How do I download iOS 5.1? I can't do it through iTunes because its meant for 'over the air'. But there's no way to do it without that button!

Everytime I try updating ios via iTunes, it is taking more than 3 hours and then session breaks saying "Timed Out"
I have been trying to update iOs since last 3 days using iTunes but of no help, please let me know any other alternative way by which I can update my iOs

  • Software Upgrade Assistant

I can't install the Software Upgrade Assistant via the instructions in the LG support site. Is there a direct download link for the LG Verizon Wireless Software Upgrade Assistant?

Should work for G3 as well.

  • Verizon Software Update Unsuccessful - Need Help!

I've been trying to install 4.3 for a while now. No matter what I try it doesn't seem to work. (I have a galaxy s4 16GB)
Kies 2.6 doesn't seem to do it. Kies 3.0 won't recognize devices that don't have 4.3.
Has anyone had this problem with it not loading?
If I try OTA, it will download the file, start the update (the little green android robot logo plus status bar shows up) and at some point thereafter it will fail.
Is there a manual way to do this or something?

To fix this issue, plug your GS4 into your computer with a USB Cable to download the Software Update Assistant.. link here:
Initial Setup - Software Upgrade Assistant (Samsung)
Run the Software Update Assistant using these instructions:
Software Update - Software Upgrade Assistant (Samsung)http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/devices/knowledge_base.html/80201/
Once this is complete, your device should be updated, with your data preserved.

  • Software updates trashed wireless connection

Did the recent software updates about an hour ago on my Powerbook and after restart lost my wireless network connection which worked fine prior to the update. When I go to the System Prefs: Network I can see the network listed under Airport. Under Network Status I get the interesting message that Airport is connected to the network beachnet (my wireless network). It then notes that Airport has a self assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the internet. (Really??) Beachnet also shows up on the menu bar under Airport as connected. But when I go to safari to connect i get the message that I am not connected to the internet ( before I was automatically routed to a secure login page). Network diagnostics is kind of useless in scoping out the problem.
So here I sit without wireless. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? I guess i'll just have to drag out the ethernet cable and and switch in the mean time. Any advise would be helpful.
    Thanks

If it's worth anything to you. A similiar problem happened to me yesterday, when my iBook rebooted after updating the software my wireless had completely been... 'trashed'. I posted a help topic here yesterday about it.
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=857301&tstart=30
After connecting my iBook directly to my modem/router via ethernet, and using the network set-up assistant, my airport suddenly just... started working again.
Perhaps it might be worth a try by connecting up via ethernet (which sounds like what you're about to-do anyway).

  • Hi, I've been trying for days to download Windows support software via Bootcamp assistant, but it always failed with message 'Can't install Windows Support Software because it is not currently available from the Software update server.' Any advice welcome

    Hi,
I've been trying for days to download Windows support software via Bootcamp assistant but it always fails with message 'Can't install windows software because it is not currently available from the software update server.'
Anyone else had problems or success with this?
    Thanks in advance.

I'm getting a similar but distinct error message in snow leopard: Download could not continue. "The windows support software is not available" and have no original snow leopard instal disc with me.
Your issue is completely different. You are running Snow Leopard. There is no download for Windows Support software for Snow Leopard, hence the error you see. Snow Leopard Windows Support software is on the Snow Leopard installation disk.
You need the Snow Leopard installation disk or a replacement for it.

  • I receive the following message under Boot Camp Assistant: "Can't install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server.

I am trying to install the software drivers for Windows 7 Home using Boot Camp 4 Assistant. I receive the following message: "Can't install software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server." Why is this happening?

You keep it on the usb stick for after you boot into Windows. From Windows you install the Windows Support software on the stick. Do you realize that you need to buy and install Windows? The Windows Support software you downloaded is only the Windows drivers for your hardware.
Read the Boot Camp installation instructions and help guides located here: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/

Boot Camp Assistant Version 5.1.0 (473)
Every time I run this I get the above error after I hit "Continue" on the "Save Windows Support Software" page and subsequently hit "Download Windows 7 Support Software."
How do I successfully install 64 bit WIndows 7 on my iMac?
    Thank you!

Waited a month and tried again with the same result. What gives? Does Apple no longer support Bootcamp with Windows 7? Do they not read these posts and help out customers? If Apple doesn't care and won't help, can anyone else suggest something? My large company does not like Apple and barely supports those of us who buck the trend and buy Macs. If I have to buy a PC to support their software to work from home this only gives them more "ammunition" to decline to support Macs. Any advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated!

  • OS Mavericks - Boot Camp Assistant can not download windows support software because it is "not currently available from the Software Update server."

When trying in install windows 7 on my mac, the Boot Camp Assistant attempts to fownload windows support software.  However, the program continues to return the following error: the windows support software "not currently available from the Software Update server."
Is there another way to get this software?

64 bit.  I found the support drivers and got the windows installation done.  When trying to run the 64 bit support drivers in Windows 7, it says my computer doesn't support 64 bit.  Sooooo.....
I'm assuming I have to download the 32 bit support drivers for Windows 7.
    Correct?

  • Boot Camp Assistant won't work - keeps asking me to use Software Update.

I am trying to use Boot Camp to install Windows but my Boot Camp Assistant won't work - it keeps asking me to use Software Update. So, even though I know everything is up to date, I start Software Update and it confirms that indeed everything is up to date. I try Boot Camp Assistant again, but the same message appears. I search every possible Boot Camp upgrade to download from Apple but they are all .exe files and need Windows to run, so those don't seem to be what I need. So I am caught in a circle of nothing working. Figures - the ONE weekend I need to install Windows and use a Windows-based program!!! And of course Apple support is closed over the weekend - another great asset to spending thousands of dollars on a product. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I too am having a similar problem. I am trying to install Windows in a newly created Boot Camp partition. I have Windows 7 but Boot Camp Assistant only mentions XP and Vista. I put in my installation disk of Windows 7 but it refuses to install it. My OS is fully up to date.

  • HT1349 I'm trying to assist someone who has a macbook with an operating system that is below 10.6.  Is there a software update that will allow an update to 10.6 or higher so that I can then install adobe flash 11.1?

tI am trying to assist someone (by phone) with a macbook update to flashplayer 11.1.  The message at the end of attempted installation of flashplayer is that because the operating system is earlier than 10.6, the installation cannot be completed.  Is there a free software update available for her operating system?  Is there assistance at an Apple store available for her in area west of Chicago?  She is a senor citizen so will need some assistance in the event that it is a download or installation that I can't walk her through by phone. Thanks for any suggestions or assistance in this regard.

The person needs to buy Mac OS Snow Leopard (10.6) for $29.00.

  • When I ran the bootcamp assistance for software update I get an error that it can't download from the server

Install Mac OS X lion fine without any issue
I'm trying to dual boot Lion and Wind 7 on different HD but when I ran the bootcamp assistance for software update I get an error that it can't download from the server.
I also try without downloading the software and do the installation but it fail. It seem that this bootcamp is giving problem so I revert back to SN leopard and it does the same. Why can't the bootcamp assistance update the software, is it something that I did wrong or my system is not supporting dual booting.
    Here is my spec
Apple Mac Pro "Quad Core" 2.66
    Identifiers: Mac Pro - MA356LL/A - MacPro1,1* - A1186

MacPro1,1 has EFI32 and does not support Windows 7 very well, can't boot 64-bit, can't use all your RAM.
There have always been trouble and issues, ways around those, but a big PITA too.
    Select CD-ROM Boot
    Select CD-ROM Boot Error Apple
Nothing to do with Lion actually. Other than downloading drivers from Apple servers has been mostly hit or miss, with miss being 90%.
I have rebuned the DVD (make a new ISO image using Imgburn etc) but now I just install Windows on PC then move the drive to the Mac. A lot easier.
Without 64-bit you can't use more than 1.9GB RAM. And you need Windows 7 Pro to use both processors.
