Zigbee Wireless Boards - Do they work?

Hey Archies,
I have a question about Arch Linux and it's compatibility with Zigbee Wireless. I currently am dual booting windows because of the drivers for Zigbee which I need to develop for school.
http://www.ti.com/tool/z-stack
Is the Components.
MSP430 microcontroller
CC2530 Sensor Boards.
I currently program on C using IAR Workbench.
Hopefully someone can shed some knowledge on my question.
Jacob

I noticed they have a "stack" in the AUR by wireshark.
wireshark-zudp
Anyone have any experience with it?
Also what program are you using to compile and send the code to the Zigbee device.
- Noticed IAR Workbench works on Wine.

    Hello:
Try resetting the SMC and PRAM.

  • Wireless Headphones - Will they work with iPods

I am thinking about getting a pair of wireless headphones, but before I invest in them, I want to make sure that they will work with the iPod nano 2nd generation if I get a pair that is not bluetooth. The cord will tend to get in the way while I'm working, which is why I'm thinking about wireless. I asked this before but didn't get any responses.

No ipod has wireless technology built in so wireless headphones are only going to work if the ones you get have a device that connects directly with the ipod to transmit the signal.

  • I am getting a lot of static when using Brookstone wireless headphones and watching movies on the Apple TV. I know it is not headphones, because they work fine when I switch it to cable TV, then the sound is clear with no static. Any suggestions?

Ok so I've been doing more testing. It's all videos on the iTunes store. Anytime I try to download a podcast or stream it or anything it's super slow. To download an episode of Diggnation it tells me over 2 hours to download but the time keeps climbing and I just stop the transfer.
Some people said it's an Open DNS thing? Maybe it is but it's not computer specific and I couldn't find a way to change the DNS settings in my Airport, only on each computer. I tried deleting PLists and restoring my Apple TV and restoring my Airport and nothing is working.
I don't know if it an issue with me, my ISP or Apple. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

  • I was working on my 96page catalog with over 2000 photos and out of the blue my frame edges vanished even on the paste board and they are not hidden and are on

I was working on my 96page catalog with over 2000 photos and out of the blue my frame edges vanished even on the paste board and they are not hidden and are on

You won't see the frame edges if you are in Preview mode, so you should use Normal mode if you want to see them. You can turn off the Document Grid in the View menu (View>Guides & Grids>Hide Document Grid).

  • Wireless Printing Doesn't Work

In February I had to purchase a Mac desktop computer due to the failure of my semi-old HP Windows computer. When we bought the Mac we also purchased a new printer since it would be cheap since we bought it with the computer. The printer is a HP Photosmart Plus B210a series model and so it has wireless printing. However, the only way to get the 'wireless printing' to work is if you first install the software. Seems good, right? No. After proceeding to turn off the printer like every normal person since you don' want to leave it on, everything goes wrong. If you turn the printer on at some time, the wireless printing won't work at all! Even if I disconnect and reconnect the WiFi to it and print the diagnostics page, where everything turns out normal EVERYTIME. This is quite thoroughly making me irate because to get the wireless printing to work again, you have to uninstall the software and reinstall it. I got so fed up with it the other night that I connected a USB cord to it, which totally defeats the purpose of the entire printer since it's suppose to be hi-tech for it's wireless printing and e-services ( which require WiFi). Can anyone please help me figure out how to have the printer continuously working so it doesn't just stop when I turn it off?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

By the fact that you desire the printer to be turned off, I would think that you probably shut off your computer and other devices as well? You do this every time you're done?
There are two schools of thought on this.
    Turning it off:
    - Reduces electrical usage versus leaving it on in low power or 'sleep mode'. In today's modern terms, you'll probably save about $40 a year.
    - If you have a fan or cooling issue, such as you're in a tight space with no airflow, this can reduce heat and cause hardware to last longer.
    - No one can access your machine or other devices when they are turned off. This prevents virus's from executing or running so long as the machine *remains* off.
    Leaving it on:
    - Allows programs to update automatically when you are not there, dramatically reducing the chances of getting a virus and also giving you the latest version of your software.
    - Virus scans can be run *automatically* to fully scan your computer while your not there, making it unnessasary to do this when you're actually using the computer, and therefore speeding up the computer greatly.
    - Instant-access to what you're doing, instead of having to wait for the machine and devices to turn on.
    - If you're sharing files, folders, or printers, this makes them available on the network.
Computers and their accessory devices are designed to run 24/7, 365 days a year. They are also designed to be shut off every night, if that is your preference. However, I think the benefits of leaving things on greatly outweigh the benefits of turning things off. Again, however, it's a personal decision.
If you decide to turn your devices off after use, please spend the time at each session to download and make updates to your computer, especially WIndows Updates and anti-virus databases. Especially with the anti-virus updates, try not to access the internet until you have the latest anti-virus update installed.

  • Wireless (ath9k) suddently not working

    uname -r
    3.12.5-1-ARCH
I'm using NetworkManager to manage my network connections. Actually my wireless connection has been working fine for almost a month now and suddently I cannot even get a working connection...Edit: sometimes it does show a working connection, but the speed is incredibly slow, and the dmesg or jounalctl just keeps popping out the same output pasted below.
I tried to use wicd, but same results.
    Command below didn't help either:

  • Right-click on Magic Mouse and Volume Controls on Wireless keyboard suddenly stopped working

I am running Mavericks 10.9.2 on an Late 2012 iMac.
One morning the right click on my Magic Mouse and the volume controls on the wireless keyboard stopped working.
These mouse and keyboard themselves seem fine; they work okay ehn used on a MacBook.
Everything else about the mouse and keyboard is fine.
This seems to be a problem what has been around for a whole, with a wide variety of solutions.
    I have read
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/16799039#16799039
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/23474052#23474052
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19660884#19660884
    and have tried
Clicking on and off the 'right click' checkbox in the Mouse System Preferences - No effect
    Deleting /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist - No effect
Restarting in Safe Mode - When starting in safe mode, the computer crashes out and restarted
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM - Is it CTRL+CMD+P+R or CMD+OPT+P+R ?  Neither work for me (I do try it using a wired keyboard, but never get the double chime)
Upgraded to 10.9.2 - no effect
Moved the /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHIDMouse.kext and AppleHIDKeyboard.kext and and back in (and re-authenticate) - No joy
Moved the /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHIDMouse.kext and AppleHIDKeyboard.kext from a working MacBook on same OS - Made the keyboard misbehave even more
Has anyone got any other cures for this?
    Thanks in advance.

Here is what worked for me.  My scrolling on the mighty mouse and a few buttons on my wireless keyboard weren't working properly.  I reset the SMC, a link explaining the process is below.  Hope it helps you too!

  • Wrt610n wireless network does not work after firmeware upgrade

    Hi
I just updated my Wrt610n hardware version 1 to the newest firmware, it did finish with sucess, I did factory reset reboot and reconfig. But the wireless network does not work , cant connect computers to it. Did downgrade the firmware to the same it was and restore my settings but still wireless does not work. But router works fine with lan.  Any suggestions? maybe the firmware tosted the router?
    Regards
    Stefan

    Update -
After last reset and reupgrade with the newest firmware for hardware version 1 I could config the router and connect 2 computers with wireless - but only for about 15 mín - then they lost connection and could not reconnect.
I did then get the newest update for hardeware version 2 - just to try and upgraded with that and got success, and now I have reset the router again and config it and those 2 computers are connected and have been for 1 hour now. So seems to be working - is it okay to have the firmware for hardware version 2 on my version 1 router?
Any thought what is going on - could it be that the other firmware had not loaded compleytle or?

If you mean AppleCare, then I would believe the answer will be yes.
First make sure you have a full backup of everything on your Mac, then run, don't walk to your nearest Apple store.
Note: Due to your Mac now being in computer years, somewhat elderly, Apple may not have the require parts in stock. This will either mean you might have to leave it with them for a number of days, or maybe they will offer you a new Mac mini. While a new Mac mini (if offered) might be a welcome possibility be aware that the new Mac mini no longer has a CD/DVD drive and it comes with Mac OS X Lion and as a result might not run some of your old software.

  • The space bar does not seem to be working on wireless keyboard wired keyboard works fine?

Can anybody help? The space bar on my wireless keyboard has stopped working. i have tried all the preferences resets and checked the speech prefrences and they're all normal, i've got the old original usb keyboard and space bar works fine. I've tried taking one end of the spacebar up giving it a blow though incase of dust but that all seems clear.

  • Installed Windows 7 on bootcamp but now my wireless mouse won't work when in windows. What can I do?

Installed Windows 7 on bootcamp but now my wireless mouse won't work when in windows. What can I do?

assuming it is an optical mouse (no ball etc.) then there aren't any moving parts involve in the motion detection
so there's a faulty component or connection
from what you describe it could be just a loose/broken connection, so if you know someone familiar with electronics see if they can open it up and have a look

  • Latest Toshiba 3G drivers & Wireless Manager don't work in Windows 7?

    Hi all,
I've installed, uninstalled, and re-installed the latest Toshiba 3G drivers and Toshiba Wireless Manager software for my NB200-123 netbook, and they don't appear to work in Windows 7.
When I start the Toshiba Wireless Manager software now (version 6.3.1.101), it starts for a split second, then Windows 7 immediately pops up a dialog box saying:
    "Wireless Manager has stopped working"
(I used to have the older XP drivers partly working, though they had the problem that if you hibernated the netbook, the next time you opened the Toshiba Wireless Manager software, it would freeze at the point where it said, "opening driver", and it would never come back)
I've currently got the following versions:
Toshiba F3507g Mobile Broadband Device - (from Toshiba) version 4.54.7103.1, dated 26/6/2009
Toshiba F3507g Mobile Broadband Network Adapter - (from Ericsson) version 1.0.0.52, dated 29/7/2009
Has anyone else managed to get this working on their NB200-123 with Windows 7? I'm wondering if I have a bad driver version somewhere?
I can't imagine that Toshiba would have rolled this out without testing it, so I must have something misconfigured somewhere.
    Best
    Rob

Ok, this does appear to be related to some kind of failed access to a .NET library. Whenever I try to launch any of the Toshiba applications, it fails immediately, and I get the following Application Event error in the event log. Note that the reference is to CLR20r3, which has to do with .NET I understand. mscorlib, referenced below, is definitely a .NET library.
Now, I know that this is supposed to be running on .NET 3.5 sp1, but I'm on Windows 7, and that includes .NET 3.5 sp1, and furthermore I've run tests on the OS to determine the .NET version(s) installed, and I've definitely got .NET 3.5 sp1 installed. So why am I getting this error?
