  • How to import an oss note related zip file

    Hello everybody.
    In order to apply an oss note to our systems, I have to import a .zip file containing two (non human readable) .u6b files.
    But I don't know how. Also, the correction instuctions are not helpful. They only say "To implement this new message class, import the attached file xyz.zip.".
    So I first tried to create the message class via SE91, then I looked for any transaction and/or utility in order to import this file, with no results.
    Is anyone familiar with this problem? How do I have to proceed?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    I guess that this zip-file contains a transport. This transportfiles have to be copied in the /usr/trans/data und /usr/trans/cofiles and imported by the transaction STMS.
    Thomas Jung wrote how to do this in this: How to import examples from book "Advanced BSP Programming"
    Perhaps your basis administrator can help you to do this?

  • Reading .ZIP files using File Adapter

    Hi,
    I am using BPEL File Adapter to read files. The files to be read are XML files which are in zipped format.
    so how should I read these .zip files and extract the XML files from that.
    Thanks
    /Kiran.

    If the xml files are all in the same directory (not in any directory structure relative to the parent directory), you can do something like this.
    - create a bpel process to read the zip files as it comes into the directory]
    - Have a file adapter inbound for the receive
    - Call windows .bat command within the bpel process to run an unzip command on that directory
    - Have another bpel process that reads *.xml files and this will get kicked off.
    There are so many ways of solving this: like having a cron job to unzip the files coming in etc. But, if you have a directory structure for these XML files and if the structure is dynamic, it is difficult to configure the file adapter for that.

  • Don't want zip files as attachments

    Sometimes a document such as Word or Excel will appear as a zip in my message when I attach it. I do not want to send a zip file. How can I stop Apple from converting it? I have an iBook G4 with Tiger. Yahoo says they are not doing it, problem is caused by Apple. Note: I have the Apple Microsoft conversion program so my documents are fully workable. Usually I can fix the Word or PDF attaching problem by exporting and saving as a different type of file, but this is not an option for Excel.

    Adam, it does have Show Package Contents.
    As far as I know, it is an Excel file. It is a stand-alone document, consisting of several sheets containing various information - the whole file is a listing of various Scouting organizations, such as packs, troops and posts. But, it is one single file, just with various pages.
    To me, this is not a package.
    But, and this relates to another member's suggestion, the file name does not have a xls suffix. When I try to save it as the file name with xls, I am told it cannot be saved as an Excel file because it is a Numbers file. All I know is when the Scout Office sent it to me, they sent it as an Excel file, and I am able to open, read and edit it because of my Apple-supplied Microsoft converter software.
    I don't know where to go now with this. The only way I can send it back with my changes is to convert it to a PDF file.
    Thanks for any help you and the others can give me.

    Thanks for the response...
    The issue is only occurring for the ZIP file extention . we are able to open the document in other files extentions from UWL inbox(portal).
    We have checked few more threads in SDN & got some link mentiioing the Tcode :- DC20 and DC30 (related to file extension) . As explained in the Tcode DC20 and DC30 . the file extention entries has to be maintained.
    We have made the entry of ZIP file in the DC20 & DC30 but still we are getting the same error. I think we are missing some entries to fill.
    It would be great if you can suggest regarding this issue...
    Is this is the cause of the issue ?
    Appreciate your help.....
    Cheers:)

  • Java.util.zip.ZipFile.entries() shows only 99 files but zip file is fine.

    Hi,
    I have a wierd issue with java.util.zip.ZipFile
    Code as simple as
    ZipFile file = new ZipFile("my.zip") ;
    System.out.println(file.size());
    For this particular zip file, it says 99 files found but the zip contains more than 60,000 files. I tried the zip with unzip and zip utilities and the zip file checks out fine. I even tried to unzip the contents, and zip 'em up all over again, just to eliminate the chances of corruption while the zip was being transferred over the network.
    The same program works fine with another zip containing more or less the same number of files and prints 63730.
    Any idea? This can not possibly be related to the type of files the zips contain? right? In any case, the contents of both zips are text/xml files.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    ZiroFrequency

    I know its a problem with this particular zip. But whats interesting is that "unzip" can easily open / verify the zip and claims that it is a valid zip.
    As I wrote earlier, I unzipped the file and zipped up the contents again in a new zip but java can't still count the contents correctly.
    So I am thinking there is something to do with the "contents" of the xmls inside the zip? (characterset issues?)
    There are no exceptions thrown and no error anywhere :(
    I basically need to pinpoint the issue so that I can have it corrected upstream as this zip file processing is an ongoing process and I need to resolve it not just once but for the periodic executions.
    Hope this helps explain the issue.

  • PHP 5.0.4, php apps and zip file problems

    I use various opensource web apps that allow for files to be uploaded in zip format. The app then unzips the files and does what it needs to do with them. ie: Gallery2 uploading photos that are zipped up and placing the enclosed photos into the gallery.
    Anyway, this was working very well with the base install of OS X Server's PHP4.? and Apache 1.4.3
    I upgraded to PHP 5.0.4 using Entropy PHP (recommended by another OS X Server admin). Anyway, I lost the ability to handle the zip files. I am unsure what to look for.
    phpinfo() shows the following about compressed files:
    Configure Command
    './configure' '--prefix=/usr/local/php5' '--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/php5/lib' '--with-apxs' '--with-iconv' '--with-openssl=/usr' '--with-zlib=/usr' '--with-mysql=/Users/marc/svn/entropy/php-module/src/mysql-standard-*' '--with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config' '--with-libxml-dir=/usr/local/php5' '--with-xsl=/usr/local/php5' '--with-pdflib=/usr/local/php5' '--with-pgsql=/Users/marc/svn/entropy/php-module/build/postgresql-build' '--with-gd' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/php5' '--with-png-dir=/usr/local/php5' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr' '--with-freetype-dir=/usr/local/php5' '--with-t1lib=/usr/local/php5' '--with-imap=../imap-2002d' '--with-imap-ssl=/usr' '--with-gettext=/usr/local/php5' '--with-ming=/Users/marc/svn/entropy/php-module/build/ming-build' '--with-ldap' '--with-mime-magic=/usr/local/php5/etc/magic.mime' '--with-iodbc=/usr' '--with-xmlrpc' '--with-expat-dir=/usr/local/php5' '--with-iconv-dir=/usr' '--with-curl=/usr/local/php5' '--enable-exif' '--enable-wddx' '--enable-soap' '--enable-sqlite-utf8' '--enable-ftp' '--enable-sockets' '--enable-dbx' '--enable-dbase' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-calendar' '--with-bz2=/usr' '--with-mcrypt=/usr/local/php5' '--with-mhash=/usr/local/php5' '--with-mssql=/usr/local/php5' '--with-fbsql=/Users/marc/svn/entropy/php-module/build/frontbase-build/Library/ FrontBase' '--enable-openbase_module'

    I wish I could be as optimistic about your configuration, you have/had more than two issues, even after building a PHP that would work for you it had to be reconfigured to obtain optimal performance.
    I noticed other errors in your logs but since they weren't specifically related to your issue with zip or PHP running properly I place a low priority on them and ignored them.
    I eventually found the build issue with the entrophy PHP however Mark wasn't interested in the fix since it basically performed the majority of the tasks that were expected and everything else was considered experimental with no real support provided.
    You did get a better PHP built in the ADE (Apple Developer Environment) targeted specifically for your CPU (although they are universal binaries) and I included some modules I wrote myself that provide some (IMHO) key functionality for a production web service like scanning uploaded files for viruses and the ability to generate RRDTool graphs natively without slowing the process down by having to rely on external resources.
    While I have thoroughly tested the modules I wrote, I have not had the time (or the help) to write proper documentation for them so I might later provide some sample PHP scripts since they are fairly simple to implement.
    The biggest problem I saw was that you had a lot of nice toys but none of them were designed to work smoothly together and the entrophy PHP is a good alternative for someone who needs more than what apple provides but isn't capable of generating something that integrates well in the environment.
    Also to note, the entrophy (or Server Logistics) PHP is an all-purpose/general-purpose solution and isn't ever going to be optimal for any specific architecture due to the build process which is why the one I provided works significantly better, it was built specifically for both architectures individually then combined into a single binary giving you the ultimate performer for either architecture without sacraficing performance or degrading functionality.
    I tend to use as much Apple provided software as I can since it makes no sense to me to build and install any software that is already available and built specifically for the environment other than to waste disk space, freetype is a good example, any that is provided will never include the same features and functionality as the apple provided installation yet all PHP makers seem to build the basic bare-bones freetype and build their PHP off of it expecting to achieve the same feature-rich functionality which it clearly isn't capable of.
    They also include a lot of features which are never used and I have removed and/or substituted some of these in an attempt to provide a more usefull set of features and functionality and I include a very complete pear installation which also contains just about every feature and functionality you would ever require without providing anything that that would be considered fluff.
    I've been watching the performance of the installation for a couple of days now and I'm more than satified that it's a solid performer for you so smile and enjoy, santa was nice to you this year.

  • Adding a folder to a zip file

    How can I add a folder to a zip file. What I want is to create a txt file, which I place in a regular folder,  then place the regular folder in a zipped folder. They all (folder, file , and zip) need to be the same name also, so the directory would be as an example C:\Desktop > runner.zip > runner > runner.txt or something similar. So far I can create a zip file, and I can create a regular folder and place the txt document in the regular folder, but i cannot seem to be able to put the regular folder in the zip folder. I get an error saying: "LabVIEW:  An input parameter is invalid. For example if the input is a path, the path might contain a character not allowed by the OS such as ? or @." It creates the zip file, and also the other folder with the txt file in it, but it wont put the regular folder in the zip file.
    Thanks ahead of time

    lvuser333 wrote:
    are you using the example file or the same code as the above screen shot? So i think my problem is I have been trying to addd the folder to a zip file I created, whereas I think that if I just zip up the folder that has the txt file in it, I will then have a zip file which contains a folder which contains the txt file, is this correct?
    I'm using the code in the screenshot (I whipped up the example quickly to see if I could get it to work, so it probably isn't the best or cleanest way to do it).
    [The example code from NI should work, but is probably more than you need].
    You zip files, but you tell the VI which folder within the zip file (i.e. relative to the zip file) you want them to go in.
    Just like how you might have a folder tree on your C drive
    animals
    ->mammals
    ---->four_legs
    -------->delicious
    -------->thinks_you_are_delicious
    ---->two_legs
    ->birds
    ---->can_fly
    ---->cannot_fly
    ->fish
    ---->salt_water
    ---->fresh_water
    You can have the same structure in the zip file.
    For instance a photo of a flathead (a type of salt water fish)..
    the file might be flathead.jpg with the path within the zip would be fish\salt_water\flathead.png
    on the other hand a tiger photo
    the file would be tiger.png but the path would be mammals\four_legs\thinks_you_are_delicious\tiger.png

  • Zip file won't open

    I have lost a few photos transfering files from the macbook g3 iphoto to the aluminum macbook and iphoto 8.0.4. The info (name, size, date) are visible but no photo. I was short of space in the ibook so I backed up iphoto on a thumb drive and 'archived it' into a .zip file. This file will not open in the macbook. (Error 1 operation not allowed). The file is 516 mb zipped. The ibook has 1.75gb available on 10 gb HD but part way thru the unarchiving process it announces the startup disc is almost full and then the ibook screen goes black. Any idea how to get at this data.

    Some of the issues you relate to may have something to do with
    the differences in iPhoto versions and the possibility of their being
    not so directly compatible when moving images the way have did.
    The compressed file should be transferred unopened to a larger
    external hard disk drive or somewhere the file can be put on to
    a DVD or other media, should the lack of free space in which
    to open & view the compressed file be a problem in a hard drive.
    Although it may not help the situation, there also are other
    unarchiver software types out there which could also open
    the compressed file; but only if there is adequate space in
    the location (or another location can be selected) to do so.
    The Unarchiver - an alternative to BOMArchiveHelper. app:
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/theunarchiver.html
    The problem sounds more complex, perhaps, than it is;
    or maybe it really is complex due to how you have made
    this archive of the iPhoto image library from the older
    iBook (? you say Macbook G3) and its iPhoto version.
    Accessing the jpg images should be relatively easy if they
    are not messed up in some odd copy of the actual iPhoto
    version from the older OS. This is where your description
    is a bit lost on me. There is a way to make backups and
    also copies of the iPhoto libraries themselves; but there
    have been some issues (supposedly addressed) in how
    older iPhoto images were seen - or not, by the newer
    version of iPhoto.
    If there is not enough free space in a computer to open
    a large compressed file (and run the apps, swap files
    and other Virtual Memory the computer needs to work)
    then the file should be opened elsewhere.
    A computer's hard disk drive, where the system resides,
    should never be more than 80% full. Mine are 50% full.
    Backups to DVDs of images, music and other works in
    progress could be made to safeguard them. Some types
    of libraries may not be the best way to do this; in the case
    of my own images, I do not use iPhoto. My jpg and other
    images are saved by date into folders, by year; any edits
    are saved in their own folder in the date folder, direct from
    the camera into a new folder on the desktop. One of my
    favorite apps is ToyViewer for image editing, a freeware.
    {My edits also are not very complex since I try to duplicate
    my skills as a film photographer, in the new digital world.
    Photoshop & other alterations take away from experience.
    If I were to take 10 hours painting my images fantastic, I
    could hardly justify not just taking up fine art. I can do it.
    Simple resizings, rotations and rename images= editing.}
    Please explain in more detail about the way the image in
    the older computer were archived, and where; and what
    they were a part of. I don't know if I understand correctly.
    PS: If the image file you compressed (assuming it is only
    images and not part of the older iPhoto app) you could
    try to see if using FireWire target disk mode could be used
    to get the files direct from the iBook hard drive into another
    computer; not sure what MacBook you have, some new
    ones lost the FireWire ports. The compressed file could
    be moved from iBook to another computer & opened there.
    Good luck & happy computing!
    edited.

  • File Transfer via Zip File

    I have started using the CC and found out that I cannot upload folders, but only one file at a time.  Ugh.  I saw an entry that said you could upload a .zip file.  Does it just store the .zip file or can I unzip it and have all of my folders/files.
    Thank you in advance,
    Paulette

    Ken,
    Thank you for the information.  Unfortunately, this approach doesn’t meet my needs.  I am trying to upload files related to multiple websites that I have created as part of a Web Design certification program.  These files are related to multiple classes, multiple lessons, multiple websites, each with its own css, image, and js folders and the related html files.  I use Dreamweaver as my editor so I had expected that the cloud space would mimic the hard drive space.  I also use Amazon Cloud for storing my business files so I had expected to have the same type of interface here.
    So can you help me get rid of the trash folders/files I’ve created?  Can you delete a folder on the Cloud?  I could not find any way to delete the folders I had created, so I archived them hoping that I could get rid of them from there.  Now I don’t see any way of accessing the archived files.  I just started this Cloud account today so this may well be user error.  However, at the moment do not feel safe saving any files to it over concerns that I cannot manage the file structure.  I must be missing something.
