Zip,unzip format files supported by XI

Dear all,
I have two requirements
1)1 have a huge pdf files(total 15) each of size 10mb these files need to be zipped in the sender CC ,set to  XI and un zipped at the receiver ie I need 15omb pdf files at the receiver. The idea is to reduce burden on XI.
2)A huge Xml(400mb) file is split in to multiples of 10 these files must be zipped individually in xi and send the unzipped file to the receiver.
Thanks.

Depending on the zip program you use, the zip folder may look
almost exactly the same as a regular folder. So perhaps you are
opening the xpj that is in the zip file, rather than the extracted
    one?
    Perhaps try the following:
    * put the zip file in c:\temp
    * extract to c:\mytestproject (or something else completely
different from the location of the zip file)
    * make sure you navigate to c:\mytestproject to open the xpj.

  • 6280 - MiniSD card - File formats not supported

Just bought a new 6280 this week which came with the usual 64mb MiniSD card. I've installed this ok and the phone recognises it but ...... for some reason when I try to play the video clips and music files that are on the card the phone comes back with the message 'File format not supported'. Looking at the files they all seem to be 3gp, mp4 or acc which in theory are supported.
This is wierd because I can play the Tones stored on the phone's own memory, some of which are also aac type files! And I've downloaded a couple of 3gp type vid clips from the O2 wap site and these play ok too!!
Anybody else had this problem before I take it back to the shop?!?

Me too - I need to send the phone back by tomorrow if I'm not going to keep it. Dont understand why file formats are not supported or one track is too big for memory. Wanted to buy a 2GB memory card and card reader - I have been advised that is the way to store music directly to memory card as nokia is set to store it to the phone memory by default. Help - dont know what to do!!
I use a 2Gb card with my 6280, and it works flawlessly. I haven't encountered any file problems. The file system used on the cards is FAT32, which means filesizes up to 2 Gb.
Connected to a PC, the card is seen as a mass storage device. All files can be stored on the card through the phone, even those he can't read (e.g. Word documents, Excel sheets, ZIP files).
Using a cardreader is not necessarily 'better'. The 6280 comes with high speed USB 2.0 connectivity (through Nokia's proprietary connection cable), which is as fast as they come. So no problems there either.
If you have problems try the card on a computer system or other phone. It might be that the memory card is at fault.

  • Can't open sequences or import clips - File format not supported

We have an iMac workstation here running Premiere that will not open projects or import clips.  Here's the sequence of events that led to this:
    1.  Premiere was locking up on the splash screen whenever it got to "ImporterQuicktime.bundle".  I tried trashing preferences and launching with plug-ins disabled and received the same freeze.  Based on forum recommendations I removed "ImporterQuicktime.bundle" and "ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle" from the plug-ins folder inside the package.  The software launched fine - but none of the Quicktime files in the project were working.  So I then took copies of the above 2 files from the iMac next to this one, with the exact same configuration, and pasted them into the plug-ins folder.  Since then - launching the software has generated the below errors.
    2.  Attempting to open any project gives a long error that starts as:  The preset used by one or more sequences in this project requires third-party components that could not be located.
    3.  Starting a new project and attempting to drag any Quicktime ProRes media into the project gives the error:  File Format not supported.
I have trashed the preferences, re-installed the Pro Apps Quicktime Codecs, de-authorized the computer and re-authorized it, and upgraded Adobe Premiere from 7.0 to 7.2.  None of which fixed the issue.
I'm thinking about trying a complete re-install of Premiere next.  Any other ideas?
    Here's the details:
    Premiere Pro CC 7.2
    Mac OS 10.8.5
iMac late 2012 model, 32Gb RAM, 2Gb video card
    Thanks.
    Don Hertz

I seem to have figured out a work around.  It appears the 7.2 upgrade is making it so that our Quicktime XDCAM 422 clips are not properly recognized.  Clips both currently in a project and new clip imports do not work.  Attempting to import clips using this codec generates the error message:  Unsupported format or damaged file.  This has happened on both an iMac system running 10.8.5 OS and a Macbook Pro running 10.9.1 OS - both of which were upgraded to Premiere 7.2.  In both cases - uninstalling and re-installing Premiere resolved the issue.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 classroom in a book lesson files "file format not supported" error message

Hey y'all. I have the creative Suite cloud membership and am learning Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and have the latest update. I have an iMac, version 10.8.2 and have been going through the lessons 1-8 so far from the 'Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Classroom in a book' with no problems. So far so good. Then, when I opened Lesson 9 project today, I realized that certain media was off line (see pic below-videos and maps) even though I had been able to open the project. I tried to see if it was a link issue but was unable to select the 'Link Media' option and the system did not give me the option to link media when opening a new project. The strange thing is that I am now able to open some lessons with everything working fine but when I try to open other lessons such as lesson 9 or 10 or 11 I notice media files offline after getting the "file format not supported" pop-up error message when attempting to open a project. It's random as some lessons I had opened previously now give this error message of file format not supported when they didn't in the past whilst others work. I have deleted all the lesson files from my hard drive and reinstalled them from the cd onto my hardrive but the issue persists. Any idea as to why all of a sudden Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 is giving the error message "File format not supported"??? when opening the lessons. I have not changed any preferences. I've included some screenshots though I don't know how much help they will be... Is anyone else running into this issue??? Can anyone help???
NEVERMIND. I FOUND OUT ON MY OWN WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND IS NOW FIXED. YAY!

Why were you trying to link a file in the project to the project file itself? Shouldn't it be a video file or something? Like .mov .wav .avi .mp4 and not .prproj

    Hi Kevin!
    Thanks for your response.
The codec is actually MPEG-2  -- so it's not a ProRes codec.
    Other information:
    HDV1080i60; 29.97 fps; 48Hz, 1440x1080 resolution
    Any ideas for us?
Thanks for responding so quickly ~

    Hi Jessica,
    That is a stickier case.
You can purchase the Calibrated {Q} plug-in to fill that gap. It might be wise to contact them and see if you can get an educational or volume discount.
The no-cost solution is a bit more labor intensive: transcode the footage to a friendlier codec prior via the FCP Media Manager prior to the students leaving the program.

  • Mp3 wont'play on 6111 - file format not supported

    hi
i've just uploaded an mp3 file in the gallery of my 6111 phone.
i wanted to use it as ringtone, but when i try to open it, it complains "file format not supported".
the manual says my phone can play mp3 and aac, so what kind of mp3 will it play? i searched through the manual and the internet but i found nothing.
the file i've uploaded is an "ordinary" mp3, size 4,3 MB, bit-rate 192 kbps, stereo, 44,100 kHz and tag Id3 v2.4
maybe the problem could be the bit-rate?or id3 tag?
    anyone knows more about it?
    thanks everyone

    Hi
I recommend formatting the USB memory stick and other devices connected to the TV using the option provided in the TV settings.
Usually such recorded files can be played only on the TV.
Also take a look to user manual page 70.
    http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/file/product/manual/5187/55VL900A.pdf
There is a list of supported file formats.
According to the Toshiba User manual following formats are supported:
    Avi, mpeg-2 PS, MPEG-2TS, MPEG-2 VOB, mov, mp4, asf

  • What does the Error Message: "File format not supported" mean?

When I first open an existing project, I get an Error Message: "File format not supported".   After a few seconds all the windows open up and I can continue to edit.  My question is will this "File format not supported" haunt me later or shall I continue to edit as I am doing? Why does this error message come up?  All the current footage is shot on same camera, the Canon 5D Mark III at 23.98 time code rate,  1920 x 1080.

  • 2630 AAC File Format Not Supported!

Hi folks, after much hair pulling, experimenting and googling...
My new 2630 will not play AAC or M4A files. I'm using Nokia Music Manager and have had no problem transfering and playing mp3's (apparently the opposite problem to what most people have!) However, it gives me the option of 'convert to mobile optimised format?'. When I click 'yes', it changes the format to AAC, the file ends with .aac instea of .mp3, I can find the file in my phone, and yet if I try to play it is displays 'File Format Not Supported'. If I then go into details under format it says 'not available' and doesn't list length or copyright the way the mp3 files do.
Seeing as aac files take up half the space I'm really hoping someone can help me out!
    Thanks,
    Annelise
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Unfortunately the 2630 is a bit too basic to accept formats like AAC.
It's not designed to be used as a music player so it only has a basic feature set and no option to add a memory card.
If you are using mp3's as ringtones you could try reducing the bit rate and setting the file to mono by using another conversion program. Setting it to mono will reduce the file size by nearly 50%.

  • Error message file format not supported

while importing footage from the sony fs-100 to premier pro cs6, I get an error message that reads "file format not supported", and lists every file in the folder i just tried to import. however, once I exit out of that message window, all of those files are available and seem to have imported without error, in spite of the error message. I have scanned through a lot of it, and I can't seem to find any problems, or unwanted artifacts in the footage or audio. I even placed a few clips in the timeline and exported it, and the exported video was also fine. There doesn't seem to be a problem with the footage but I'm afraid to build this large project only to find something wrong with it down the line. please help me.

In the folder along with the video files are a number of 'metadata' files, it is these files that Premiere is saying are not recognised, as you have found the video imports fine. When importing using the Media Browser these files tell Premiere how to treat spanned clips amongst other things. As Ann says it always works better if you use the Media Browser for importing any asset.

  • Problem with zip/unzip of .swf files in XP

For some reason, zipping a .swf file in XP and then unzipping on another XP machine, the file suffix changes from ".swf" to no suffix and properties change from Flash movie to Flash object.  Consequently, linking to the file with a URL in a presentation causes the file not found error. Renaming the unzipped file to filename.swf makes it unreadable.
Any suggestions on how to compact .swf files without them being corrupted when they're unzipped?

Sorry to say, aknle, I use Illustrator files in every After Effects project I do these days. I have never had the issue you are describing. I often receive files form external artists that I need to change to RGB from their CMYK originals. I often need to fix their art because they are print people and think of white as the paper and the absence of ink. But the files open and track and update for me flawlessly. Always have.
    I am on CS5 (not 5.5) using a Macintosh.

  • File-roller should have zip/unzip depedency

I have gnome installed and tried to open a zip file using file-roller.  It did not work because the zip and unzip packages were not dependencies.  The  ubiquitous nature of the zip standard should make it a dependency on any file compression utility like file-roller.  Just my humble opinion.

I don't agree. Zip is not very common in linux. File-roller can handle it, if zip / unzip is installed, but literaly it does not really "depend" on it. For my taste, it is clear and simple: If you need another additional compression utility, next to the commonly used and installed (tar) you may install it (zip, unzip, bzip, ...). It should'nt just because you decide to use file-roller. Keep it simple does not mean install everything a user might want, as f.e. ubuntu would do.
