Zipx questions/support with McAfee AV

Good Morning,
Over the last few months, we have been receiving an increasingly number of .zipx files being sent to us.  The files get marked as "Unscannable" since I don't believe that Cisco Ironport supports or can scan the format.  So my question is what is everyone else doing with these file types?  Also, is Cisco Ironport looking to add some support for the format?
This is only happening with the McAfee Virus Scanner.  The Sophos AV does not have a problem with it.

A product compatibility is determined by 3 parts:
The product has passed Windows certification requirements and received a logo.
The app publisher or device manufacturer stated this products works with Windows 8\8.1\RT\7....
Windows 8.1 is designed with compatibility in mind.If an app or device ran on Windows 8, our goal is that it should run on Windows 8.1. During Windows development, we test most of the popular products and we are providing compatibility statements based
on this testing. For products we have not tested, compatibility statements for Windows 8.1 are being provided based on the product's compatibility status for Windows 8.
Microsoft will also take user's feedback into account and make updates accordingly, so it might take some time to update a status.

  • App-V 5.0SP2 question with SCCM 2012 CU4 (functionality vs full support with R2)

    I understand that for App-V 5.0 SP2 and SCCM 2012 SP1 integration at least CU4 is required but R2 with CU1 for full functionality.
    I’ve attached an image from some session that someone else gave me. I have questions after looking at the slide since there are no details on what is not fully supported with CU4 pre R2.
    Since we have immediate plans to add CU4 to our SCCM 2012 SP1 environment can anyone please give us a break down of what functionality is not available in App-V 5.0 SP2 before we go all the way up to SCCM 2012 R2?
    On another note does anyone have any clue what TechED session that was from so I can see the replay?

    You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
    You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

    Thanks for the question. From your description, it sounds like various Account Settings have been greyed out in your Settings application (iCloud, Facebook, Twitter). The cause for these being greyed out is a restriction setup on your iPhone. You'll probably see that Restrictions are turned "On" in Settings > General.
    You'll want to disable the restriction "Allow Changes: Accounts". For more information on restrictions, see this article:

  • Level of ACPI support with Solaris 10?

    What is the current level of ACPI support with Solaris 10 x86? I have been searching forums and Sun documentation and I have not found an official answer to this question from Sun. I have seen posts in which people state what they "think" they know or they know how something worked with "their" system but nothing official from Sun. I assume there is some support for ACPI because the eeprom command can be used with the acpi-user-options. Can I just enable ACPI support on my motherboard and let Solaris 10 Update 3 do the rest?     Having the same issue after downloading the lastest version of itunes. Apple is going to lose me as a customer, if this keeps up with their software updates. They never seem to work.
    Really, they should want me to be able to access their store. That's money out of their pocket. 
    Honestly, I don't know why Apple doesn't have a techie monitering their support threads trying to help fix issues.
    I don't have McAffee, so that wouldn't be my issue. I guess, I'll keep checking back to see if anyone has figured anything out.
    I can't seem to sync my ipad, now either. Ebay is sounding really good.

  • IIS Url Rewriting supported with SharePoint 2010?

    I am currently working for a client that is investigating how they can do vanity domain names for sub sites.  I don't believe this will actually work with SharePoint 2010 and believe it may put the environment in an unsupported state...however I need
    to find some sort of official MS statement saying so.

    Can anyone point me to any official MS statement stating that this is not support with SharePoint 2010?

    We ran into the same question. Since there's no official statement from Microsoft to be found on the internet that takes away the rumors about it being supported, we set out the question with Microsoft to provide their official statement. Their

    We have plan to buy and use Aardvark OEM I2C Host Adapter and use it with LabView2013.
    I am searching if this device already has LabView VI's for I2C communication.
    I am not sure If we can use the VI's for Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter to Aardvark OEM I2C Host Adapter.
    Before we decide  to buy Aardvark OEM I2C Host Adapter we just want to make sure that we can use it.

    Hi. ..tried looking for an anwer to this - lots of questions about it and no solutions!! yet...
    Infuriating little problem.. got a Belkin ipod car connector a while back for my Honda, hard wired thru car stereo. Worked great on previous iphones and ipod touche etc...tunes on the move without one of those awful cassette adaptor things... anyway get my new iPhone4 and now all I get is the message
    'Charging is Not Supported With This Accessory - Dismiss' every few seconds which interrupts the music playback.. maddening! so cant play music in car .... very occasionally it stays away long enough for one song but usually it happens every few seconds. Anyone come up with fixes for this? Or yet another example of us being persuaded to buy more accessories? I dont want it to charge I just want it not to stop playing.... please help .... Im a pro musician and the tune-less car is killing me. KB

    I had the same issue and the only solution I found was to buy a higher amp charger. I got an incase wall/car charger that works great and runs at 2A. I'm guessing the iPhone 4 requires more power to charge. I would not only get the message you describe but the phone wasn't charging either.
    The incase charge looks great too.

  • VzTech help with McAfee Kudos

    With everything that's been going on with Verizon lately and my dismay with the company I had no anticipations of my new issue being resolved.  However, I must say that the Verizon Technical Support helped me out with McAfee and the VISS.
    The story goes like this,
    When I opened McAfee and went to do the updates it just sat there, did nothing, no circle rotating, just said 0 complete.
    Then I ran the MVT (McAfee Virtual Tech) and it showed 2 major errors that it could not fix:
    1 - would not download the updated database
    2 - Program Subscription Update Needed
    So, I scanned my PC and found nothing, then I rebooted & ran the MVT. Same issues detected by the MVT.
    Next step Verizon online Tech Support.
    After granting the Tech permission to connect to my PC they seen exactly what I said & the errors replicated for them too.
    The Tech asked if I tried a reinstall, no not yet.
    Tech told me to wait while they talked to their backend Tech team on the "Program Subscription Update Needed" issue.
    Tech decided that a conference call was in order.
    They called me & conference with McAfee, and VzTech ended our session.
    McAfee Tech then needed access to my PC, ok.
    It took about 50min with McAfee who ended up uninstalling & reinstalling the software.
    They stayed on the phone with me until the software was fully installed and working again & my PC was secured.
    The whole process from Verizon Tech through McAfee Tech took approximately 1hr and 10min.
    The only issues I had was understanding the heavy Indian accent from the McAfee Tech, but we got through it with a few "excuse me, can you repeat that again". And I wasnt able to save my session info from VzTech as the McAfee Tech closed all the windows in explorer oh well LOL
    Thanks to the Verizon Tech team in assisting with the issues I had and getting it up and running again. Kudos!

    Click on the shield bottom right of screen:
    Select Virus and spyware protection
    Select Scan your PC
    Select Run a custom scan
    Then there are a number of options for you to chooses what to scan.
    However I would get a different anti virus software as the one thing I do not like about this is that it has a mind of its own when it comes to updates and will update when it wants to which slows the PC down and whatever you do you can not stop the update. This is very annoying if you are trying to do something which is time dependent.

    When I try to open Dreamweaver CS6 on my Macbook Pro, it says "You can't open the application Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 because it is not supported with this type of Mac.  I'm not sure if this is a question for Apple, but why would it not work on my Mac?  My Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Media Encoder all work just fine.  Any help?  Thanks!

  • ATV2 won't Home Share with McAfee firewall active

    Hi, I have Windows Vista with McAfee SecurityCenter set up. McAfee firewall takes over for Windows and I have the following ports open (as per Apple Support pages)
    TCP 3689
    UDP 5353
    ATV2 cannot see pictures, music and videos with these ports open, it only works if I turn off the firewall altogether.
    Does anyone know what other ports need to be open for this to work?
