Zoom and tilt

Hi,
Does anyone know how I can zoom and tilt a slide in Captivate?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best regards,
Nathan-

Hi again
Okay, multiple issues here.
First, as I said earlier, zoom gives you two areas. One you surround the area to be magnified. The other where it ends up. Note that when you click either area, you are offered options for choosing the outline color and shading. Note also that one of the areas offers a button to choose an image. For a basic zoom, ignore the image button. What should happen is that whatever the first rectangle surrounds possibly grows and moves from where it is to where the second rectangle is placed. The difference in size between the rectangles determines the magnification.
You need to play with it a bit to fully comprehend what is possible.
Cheers... Rick

  • Using mouse wheel to zoom and pan

I was wondering if there would be a way to make a javascript that would load at Photoshop's startup that would allow the user to zoom in and out using the mouse wheel (instead of using it for scrolling), and to use that same mouse wheel as a third button (when you push on the mouse wheel) or any third button on a three button mouse to pan in your image. I'm a 3ds max user and I love the way the navigation work in that software so it'd be great to be able to do that for Photoshop and Illustrator and get rid of those useless key shortcuts that we need to use to zoom and pan.
For the pan fonction, I guess if there was a way to simply say "when the third mouse button is pressed, press the space button, until the mouse button is released" it could work. But then it would force the panning to stop when the mouse goes offscreen, unlike in 3ds max where you can pan for whatever distance you want, even if you have the loop throught the screen ten times.
For the zoom function, if scolling up could simply "push" the keyboard shortcuts to zoom in/ zoom out it could work, but I don't know if that's possible. And then we'd have to disable the scrolling up and down in the document.
Anyways, if anyone has any ideas about that let me know! I've been looking for that for such a long time!

Not sure if I am misreading your post, but there is an option in the preferences that allows you to choose Zoom With Scroll Wheel. With this option active you hold the ALT key to scroll.
My Logitech mouse has a tilt wheel on it and this works fine in Photoshop. It doesn't loop through the screen but it does pan left and right with no problem. On this mouse the scroll wheel can also be pressed, and can be programmed to almost any key, I use for double click.
Forgive me if I've misunderstood your question.

  • How to Zoom and Pan in the program window.

    Hi,
I have been using scale to adjust larger than 4K image sequences so they fit 1080 and 4K output. I want to be able to zoom in and pan/tilt the program window so I can see the edges of the program window close up, so I can see to make a fine adjustment of scale. I want to be able to adjust scale precisely so I don't lose a single pixel, or include any black around the edges of the images. Of course I can't see the edges close up enough while looking at the entire image, to really see if I have scaled too much or too little. I know how to zoom in the program window, but how do I pan over to the side and bottom edges ? Without being able to pan I instantly lose the edges of the frame when I zoom in the program window.

Perhaps this will help it make sense to you.
I am taking tme lapse sequences shot on a DSLR and putting them onto Blu Ray disks for viewing. I also outputted a 4K file to try to play at Best Buy on a 4K television. The images are  4928 X 3280 pixels, which is larger than 4K, and much larger than 1080. One of the advantages of using these large images directly and not reducing them in Photoshop first is that I can have a time lapse zoom, which is very difficult to achieve otherwise. I can also pan and tilt. Another advantage is not having to reduce thousands of images three times, once for 1080, once for 4K, and once for stills..
I usually work with 1080 video, and animated 1080 still sequences from Maya, or standard definition video. This is the my first opportunity to work with higher resolutions.
Generally, for my first evaluation of these DSLR stills, i wanted to show some of them fully without cutting any off. This means there is a black border onthe sides because the DSLR stills are 2:3 instead of 9:16. For this I have used a scale of 32.6% for 1080, and 66% for 4K. For some sequences i wanted to just completely fill the frame. For this I used 38.9% for 1080, and 77.9% for 4K.
My assumption is that Premier should do scaling as well as Photoshop does, and so  I have let Premier do the work, saving me a lot of extra work. First i take all the original images and process them from raw to tiff, for the day exposures. Then i process them again for the night exposures. Then i bring them into either my 1080 project, or my 4K project. I put the night pictures above the day pictures on a separate video track. I use opacity to dissolve from the day to night processed images as night falls inthe scene.
Two sequences I shot are of the night sky during the recent meteor shower. After watchign the video I see i caught three instances of persistent meteor trails distorting in the sky. I was able to zoom in quite a bit, and track the position, because the sequence is of greater resolution than the native 1080 format. It gives me a second change at composition, or the ability to zoom in on something interesting that happens in the scene.
It seems to me that the only reason i would want to first process the images down to 1080 in Photoshp, would be if the quality of the scaling was higher in Photoshop.
When i adjust the scale, I am adjusting the scale of an image that is 4928 X 3280, in the program monitor which is probably only well less than 1000 pixels on my screen. It would be nice if I could not only zoom, but pan in the program window, so I could more accurately adjust scale by looking at the edges. So if there is no other way to do this visually, I am suggesting adding the ability to pan and tilt in the program monitor to accomplish this. Sure I could figure out the scale mathematically. I could still end up adding a row of black pixels, or cutting off a row of image pixels, due to some error such as rounding errors, or starting with 1 instead of zero, or vice versa.

  • I am have problems with firefox 5& 6. It does not display correctly. I have tried the no squint and the internal zoom. Some pages load ok, others like yahoomail, load tiny unless I zoom and then other pages have problems. Why? What else can I be doing?

I am frustrated. With the no squint, which has a mind of its own, then some pages are fine, in others the type is too big or too small for the frames. If I use the default Firefox zoom that is no better. I have to set things for like 130 percent and am constantly having to click on the zoom and change things. I never had that with previous versions? Why can't Firefox just go back to displaying text in the correct frames at a decent size?

I have played with all the options in no squint and the default zoom thing. My email list in yahoo remains tiny tiny, other things do not. If I enlarge that, then other things are too big. I never had this problem with older versions of firefox. I never had used any zoom features, it all sized itself correctly.
To troubleshoot, I tried to open the same things with chrome, and it had much less of a problem sizing the type etc.
I am kind of at my wits end here.

  • How do I add 'zoom' and 'minimize' to my toolbar?

I am using Firefox 3.5.13 on a Mac OS 10.5.8.
I would like to add "zoom"and minimize to my Firefox toolbar. The only options available to add that I see are:
    Separator
    Flexible space
    space
    home
    print
    activity indicator
    downloads
    etc, etc.
No zoom or minimize. I do not want to have to use keyboard commands for this. Please advise.
    THANK YOU!

    Go to this link

Since you don't want to use keyboard short cuts, go to he second or third choice.

  • I recently updated my iPad to iOS 8 and still checking on the settings. When I happened to swipe on my screen fro too long, it zoomed and I can no longer see what's on it. I can not even unlock it. What shall I do?

I recently updated my iPad to iOS 8 and still checking on the settings. When I happened to swipe on my screen for too long, it zoomed and I can no longer see what's on it. I can not even unlock it. I can not use my iPad anymore. What shall I do?

Try double tapping with three fingers and see if that reduces the screen image. If it does, unlock the iPad and go to Settings>General>Accessibility>zoom>Off. If double tapping with three fingers doesn't work, try triple tapping the home button instead.

  • Zoom and Pan for Adobe Premiere Elements 12?

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 12. I would like to zoom and pan into a video, but without that slow zoom in/out effect. Basically, I want it like a quick cut close up then back to the original size. I've been trying but nothing seems to work. There's that slow zoom in/out every time I try to get a quick cut in and a quick cut out. Does anyone have any ideas to get this? Thanks

    nbovell94
Please check into the details of the Premiere Elements 12 Pan and Zoom Tool. I think that you may be overlooking your opportunities for what you want with that tool, namely, the "Hold" set and the "Pan Time" set and combination there of.
    Please see

Please review and consider and then we can discuss this further if necessary.
    Thanks.

Can any one give me the link or code for best zoomin and  zoomOut for Images?
Is there any way that I can Zoom Video in flex?
    Thanks n Regards

Probably the simplest solution is to use password-based encryption (PBE). See http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/security/CryptoSpec.html#PBEEx
    for an example.

  • AllinOne.js[dynamic] error while zooming and navigating to next page

    hi..
i'm using crystal report 13 and vs2010 in 32 bit OS
reports are working fine but when i click to next page
or zoom or find a word then
    the allinOne.js[dynamic] file opens
    and shows the below error..
Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'children.length' is null or not an object
and the following is error in file
A=G.children.length; it is showing A is undefined.
what to do ..  i dont know i'm confused..

I think we have the same or a similar problem. We converted
our solution from Crystal Reports XI to Crystal Reports VS2010. To view the report
we use the CrystalReportViewer on a web form (aspx file with code behind).
Everything (except the known issue with the blank viewer on first use) is ok
with IE9 but with IE7 and IE8 export and zoom are not working. When I click on
zoom e.g. 125% the internet tools shows SCRIPT1032: Invalid Character, if I
click on export it is not possible to select an export file format other than
the selected one internet tools show errors SCRIPT13: Type Mismatch ‘return’
    and SCRIPT1032: Invalid Character.
    Problems with Zoom and Export
    Error on zoom
    Error on export
We need at least IE8 support for Windows XP, our software only supports Internet Explorer, so other browsers are no alternative.
Any help regarding these issues is really appreciated.

  • Zoom and pan square map, how to modify for landscape ?

Seeking a little help here. Easy for coders but I have no
    coding knowledge.
I am using a freeware zoom and pan flash file
    http://www.flashkit.com/search.php?term=zoom&cat=movies&per=10&field=Description&page=4
image viewer with proper panning by Erin Brewer.
Also found by going to flash kit website and searching on the
word zoom then going to page 4, if the link fails to take you
    there.
There is not much to this , it has some action script. What
do I need to alter in the script to allow this to show the entire
map to start with, and allow zoom and pan to all parts of the map ?
I need this to work for A4 proportioned maps landscape. The
author says:- … Very easy to modify for you needs.
The download is of a square one. With an 18x25 shape map
replacing the square one I find it pans right then stops before
reaching maps right hand side. Map is landscape 18 x 25 and it gets
stuck 4.3 units from the far right.
Can anyone take a look at it and indicate what needs modding
    No reply from Author.
    Many thanks

Is this a video shot that you are using?
any time you move the center point, you have to adjust the scale correspondingly.

  • I have footage that needs to be green screened. One of the cameras zoomed and panned, is there anyway to lock foreground and background so the motion is consistent

I shot two cameras for green screen editing but one of the operators zoomed and panned so the key is good but when the camera zooms it looks like the subjects are floating, any idea how to synchronize the foreground to background

I think you will need the camera tracker effect in AfterEffects, It would be best to ask in their forum.

  • How to make a combined zoom and fade in/fade out effect in Premiere Pro CS4

    Hi everyone,
Like the title says, I would really love to have an effect I could just drag from the effects menu onto my footage (mostly text titles) so they could fade in for a second, zoom in slightly while they're on screen, and then fade out for the clip's last second.
That would make my workflow a LOT faster than fiddling with keyframes for the zoom and always grabbing the cross dissolve at the start and end of the text for a few projects I have.  It doesn't sound like much, but when you have moving fading text a couple dozen times in each project and it takes the bulk of your time on the project, the repetition reminds me there has to be a better way.
That's what a computer is supposed to do, right, take care of simple repetitive tasks?  So how can I get this set up as a reusable effect?
    Thanks!

    Dave,
I will +1 Pixelan's products. They are great, simple, and have about the best support that I know of. When you explore, say Pixelan's SpiceMaster, dig deeply. Things appear rather mundane, on the surface, but there is so very much power lurking, just below the surface. I could almost imagine a 1000 page manual to cover every possible aspect of that program... Every time that I use it, I learn something new, and wonderful.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
