Zoom buttons not sticky on Drive+

Using Nokia 920: How come I can zoom in and out using the +/- buttons, but then the map goes back to whatever zoom level it calculates that it needs to be in? There should be an option to adjust whether zooming should be where I set it to be, or automatic.
Using Nokia 920 running on Windows Phone 8

Not really... Programs like Waze do that. They let you set the zoom level to be based on speed, or distance, or automatic etc. So, there is value in it.
My scenario was just the opposite of what you are describing. Imagine you are in 3D view in Drive+. It shows me the road up ahead. But I want to just see the next 100yds, let's say. So, I hit the zoom key until I only see the next block or so in the map. Mind you, this is not like I am losing my spot on the map; I am zooming, not panning, therefore I am always at the bottom, so I know where I am. This operation is only changing whether I see the next few yards or miles. However, while doing this zooming, I find that the app is constantly fighting me, trying to zoom back to the level that it is calculating I should be in, presumably based on my speed. Again, it is not just updating the map as I move, but it is also changing the amount of upcoming road I am seeing. If I ever beat it and get to a zoom level I want, primarily to see on the map the names of the cross streets that I am crossing, within seconds it pops back to the long distance zoom where I get to see almost a mile of the road ahead of me, and none of the details of where I am right now.
This whole thing makes the zoom buttons quite useless while you are driving, especially in the 3D mode. I didn't try the 2D mode.

  • IPM EBS integration - zoom button is not opening window

    Hi,
We have done the integration between EBS and IPM. It was working fine till the point we changed the IPM schema name.
Initially we did the integration with IPM schema DEV_IPM and done all the changes it was working fine.
For doing the UAT we created the schema UAT_IPM and done the new domain setup with IPM pointing to UAT_IPM. In standalone IPM is working fine. However since this point we are not able open the IPM window from Zoom button.
What are the changes do we need to do in AXF tables after this? i am sure there should be some setting with AXF_properties table only. but not able to figure out WHAT ?????
    Please help.

  • Zoom gesture not working??

Hello, the pinch/zoom is not working when using safari? I tried it in iphoto and it worked there. i am using mac os x lion, all other gestures appear to b

Right, if you don't have the buttonless trackpad you can't use all the gestures in Lion. With MacBooks it's only the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody that have the buttonless multi-touch glass trackpad. The Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s had the 2 button trackpads

  • Win 8.1 Storage Pool not allowing "add drive" nor allow expand capacity

Have one Storage Space within one Storage Pool (Parity mode) containing 4 identical hard drives.
Used for data storage, it appears to be functioning normally
    and
    has filled 88% of capacity
(ie. 88% x 2/3 of physical capacity (parity mode))
The only other storage on this new PC is an SSD used for OS (win 8.1 pro) and application software.
    In "Manage Storage Spaces"
displays this warning message to add drives:
    <   Warning                               >
    <   Low capacity; add 3 drives   >
After clicking "add drives", it displays:
"No drives that work with Storage Spaces are available. Make sure that the drives that you want to use are connected.".
However I had connected another two identical hard drives via SATA cables and "Disk Management" displays these two drives available.
    in summary:
"Manage Storage Spaces" does not find these drives as available although they show correctly in Disk Management.
btw - I removed the pre-existing partitioning on the 'new' drives so now they show only as "unallocated" in "Disk Management". (I did
likewise before Storage Pool found the 4 original drives)
Perhaps the problem is to increase the total nominal capacity of the Storage Space, before can add more drives?
Microsoft says that the capacity of Storage Pools can be increased but cannot be decreased -
but computer displays no Change "button" by which this can be done. There is supposed to be a "Change" button but that is
not displaying for me. So "Manage Storage Spaces" offer me no option to manage the "size" of the pool.
    only five options are displayed:
Create a storage space     (ie. from the small amount remaining unused in the Pool)
Add drives     (.... as explained already)
Rename pool    (only renames the storage space)
Format        (ie. re-format and so lose all current data)
Delete         (ie. delete the storage space and so lose all current data)
using Google, find nothing bearing on this problem
except the most basic instructions to set up a storage space!
    Can you help?
The problem is that the Storage Pool is not displaying a "button" to increase capacity, and when click "add drives" finds no hard drives available.

    Hi,
I would suggest you launch Device Manager, then expand
Disk drives. Right-click the disk listed as "Disk drive", and select
Uninstall. On the Action menu, click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the disk.
Please also take a look of this link:
see this part: How do I increase pool capacity?
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/11382.storage-spaces-frequently-asked-questions-faq.aspx#How_do_I_increase_pool_capacity
According to the link, to extend a parity space, the pool would need the appropriate number of columns available to accommodate the layout of the disk.

  • Why is the zoom button grayed out when I scan

    Operating system: Windows 7
    Software: Adobe Elements CS2
    Scanner Cannon 9000f
When I scan a single image the zoom button is grayed out, but when I scan multiple images it is activated.  How do I activate it for a single scan.  I have selected the item to complete the scan and it is still grayed out.
    Thanks for your help.  Jim

The person has to have an apple device and also has to be registered with iMessage, otherwise of you try to message them their name will turn red with a ! Next to the name saying they are not a registered use of iMessage.
If your clicking on the name and typing in the box that pops up, you may be typing in the "subject" area. The iMessage has two sections to type in, the subject and content are. The bottom portion is the content area so if you have a message already started then use this area.
The "subject" portion can be turned off also in Settings, messages
It gives the option to turn off the subject portion here

I searched the forums and older postes say to press xfinity and then find the gear. My remote doesn't do that either.

For your Cisco/Scientific-Atlanta brannded DVR, it sounds like the user settings may need to be adjusted.
To access the user settings, turn OFF your set-top box; it will remain in standby mode.
Press (Guide) on your remote while the set-top box is in standby mode. OR press Channel Up + Channel Down simultaneously on the front panel of the set-top box.
Scroll to TV TYPE and choose the appropriate setting for the TV: 4:3 Letterbox, 4:3 PAN/SCAN or 16:9 widescreen
Scroll to HDMI/YPbPr OUTPUT and change it to either 480p std, 480i std, Pass Thru or 1080i
Scroll to 4:3 OVERRIDE and select 480p

  • I have an imac 2009 the disk drive is damaged and I have lost the passwords I need to reset passwords I tried booting with a macosx disk from an external hard drive but did not read the drive how else can I reset password ?

I have an imac 2009 the disk drive is damaged and I have lost the passwords I need to reset passwords I tried booting with a macosx disk from an external hard drive but did not read the drive how else can I reset password ?
I have a 2012 mac book pro can I use that to connect with firewire and load osx that way? and how woudl I do that?
    Thanks so much!

To what password are you referring? Do you mean your user account's admin password? Or do you mean the master password for File Vault or do you mean a Firmware Password?
    For an admin password:
    Forgot Your Account Password
    For Snow Leopard and earlier
Mac OS X 10.6- If you forget your administrator password
    For Lion/Mountain Lion
        Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow
instructions in the dialog window that will appear.
Or see Reset a Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Password and
OS X Lion- Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
If you cannot do the above then try this:
      1. Boot to Safe Mode by restarting and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-S keys until a black screen with white type appears.
      2. At the prompt, type the following commands pressing return after each command line:
         /sbin/fsck -yf
If you do not receive a "Filesystem OK" message then repeat this command until
you do.  If after seven tries you still do not receive a "Filesystem OK" message,
then the system is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled.
         mount -uw /
         cd /private/var/db/netinfo
         mv local.nidb local.old
         rm ../.AppleSetupDone
         shutdown -r now
The second-to-last command above will cause OS X to think that the operating system is newly installed, and when the new owner starts up the computer it will send him/her to the startup wizard where he/she can start a new user without reinstalling.
This last method does not actually change a password. It simply removes the user accounts and lets you create an initial admin account as if the computer were new out of the box.
How to reset the OS X password without a startup CD:
Reboot into Single-user Mode. Enter the following and press RETURN after each command line
       1. Type fsck -fy
       2. Type mount -uw /
       3. Type passwd <username>
I have never tried this method myself.

  • Trying to delete pages 21-24 on iPhoto book but "remove pages" option grayed out and pressing delete button not doing anything.  Help!

Trying to delete pages 21-24 on iPhoto book but "remove pages" option grayed out and pressing delete button not doing anything.  These extra pages resulted from using Autoflow and now we can't seem to get rid of them.  Help!

    Good morning Old Toad.
    I did as you suggested:
    1) Booted from install CD.
    2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
    3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
    4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
    5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
    panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
    A) They already take .5 Gb.
    B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
    C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
    D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.
Thanks for your help. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

  • 27" I7 iMac will not recognize thumb drive

I have a PNY 8gb Attache thumb drive that is not recognized by my 2010 27" I7 iMac.    It does not show on the desktop, disk utility, finder or system profile. However, this thumb drive works on my MacBook, 2006 24" iMac and a Dell laptop running XP.   I have 4 other drives (1-4gb) that work on all of our computers. Currently running Lion @ 10.7.3 but this problem existed on SL @ 10.6.8 also.   I have tried this drive as a FAT-32 and Mac OS journaled and the 27" still will not recogize the drive.    Any thoughts?    Thank you.
Forgot to mention - called Applecare but they couldn't help.

Try doing a SMC reset, that might help. Otherwise I'd try another thumb drive.
    SMC RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    Release the power button.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Green zoom button behavior

I've been wondering if my green zoom button on a window does what it's supposed to. When I click on it sometimes the window gets smaller and pushed to the lower left corner of the display with half of it not visible below the dock. Should it not get larger with the scroll bars going away or maybe filling up the desktop? Does it do the same thing for everyone out there??? Thanks!

  • MacBook pro, will not start up- drive begins

MacBook pro, will not start up- drive begins?

    OK, then try this:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Since you can boot into safe mode successfully, I'm assuming the problem may be with a bad third-party extension or plug-in (such as a driver for third-party hardware or a bad Flash plug-in, for example.) It can also be a problem with a bad cache or preference file. If the above doesn't help then use a utility like Lion Cache Cleaner 6.0.5, Cocktail, TinkerTool Sys..., or OnyX to clean out user, system, and font caches.

  • Preview zoom button doesn't respect dock location?

When I open a PDF document (perhaps others, too) in Preview and zoom in, then press the zoom button (aka enlarge, the green button on the top left of the window), the window seems to zoom to a size which leaves room for the dock at the bottom ... but I have my dock set to the right. This means I go through the same 4-clicks-and-a-drag motions every time I open a PDF: not life-threatening, but very much a drag.
I understand I can tweak so that I get the zoom level I want by modifying preferences in the plist, but is there any way to get the application to respect my choice of dock placement? I would be willing to write a script, if necessary, but this seems like it should be default behavior (after all, I am given the choice of dock location, and this should be accessible from any app which is leaving room for the dock).
Thanks in advance for any help!

All I can suggest is to send bug reports and enhancement requests to Apple via its Bug Reporter system. Go to https://connect.apple.com/MemberSite and join the Apple Developer Connection (ADC)—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Then, go to https://bugreport.apple.com/, click on the Login to the Apple BugReporter link (using your Apple ID username and password), and file your bug report/enhancement request. The nice thing with this procedure is that you get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

  • The 'Get Information' button in my printer driver dialog is grayed out.  This happened when I upgraded my mac (and macbook).  Can't find any help anywhere.

I recently upgraded both my imac and macbook pro to a new mac mini and macbook air.  I have a networked (via airport extreme) canon ipf6100 printer that had been working great from my older computers (all running current mountain lion).  The new computer's printer driver setups went well and the dialog says its online and ready.  The problem is the 'Get Information' button in the 'Main' driver panel is grayed out.  The driver cannot read the printer's configuration (i.e. roll or sheet paper) and therefore cannot print correctly.  I have tried re-installing the driver (current one from Canon's website) and have tried connecting the printer to USB directly with the same result.  I have not been able to find any help on this anywhere.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
