Zoom gesture issue

I want to add zoom gesture to an image in a mobile application. When I try to zoom it, the center is not maintained and image tends to move out in random directions and the zoom is not smooth. I noticed that the sample given in Tour-de-Flex also doesn't have the Zoom functionality working well. How can I fix this issue?

A couple things to check:
1. If you have open gl enabled,try turning it off and see if
   that makes a difference. (just a temporary fix)
2. Try different open gl settings i.e basic or normal.
3. Update your video card drivers.

  • Pinch to Zoom Gesture ISSUE!

    My MacBook Pro, running 10.6.8 SL, is having some major
    issues with the pinch to zoom, or pinch open & close,
    whatever you want to call it, only in Safari 5.1!
    I'm able to only 'pinch' once, but I cannot pinch any further
    or return it to its original size after that.
    I've already turned off and then back on all my trackpad settings,
    and nothing is working.
    Pleaseee let me know if anyone has any advice whatsoever!
    Thank You! :D

    I get this too, but quiting and re-opening Safari fixes the issue until it stops again.

  • OS Lion does not support pinch/zoom gesture in Finder

    I've seen multiple posts on this same issue.  I just want to add my vote to Apple to restore the pinch-zoom gesture in Finder to OS Lion.  I'd love see either a solution, or software update that will rectify this issue.  I don't even know why there would be any sense in removing this feature.
    Vic

    Thank you for your response Rodney.  The issue isn't with the browser though.  The pinch-zoom works perfectly in Safari.  The issue is with Finder.  When I'm sorting/organizing files in Finder, I the pinch-zoom functionality doesn't work, so I'm limited to the 4 viewing styles buttons that are available.  I can't scale my views which is really inconvenient.  Finder used to have this functionality in OS Snow Leopard, so I really hope this function is restored in OS Lion.
    Any feedback or ETA if this is going to be addressed by Apple?  I see many other cries to have this feature restored in OS Lion.
    Sincerely,
    Vic

  • How can I enable the android one-fibger zoom gesture in Firefox?

    2 OS versions ago, android changed the system wide zoom gesture to a single finger one.
    double tap -> hold -> move finger up or down
    This doesn't work in Android, which is still stuck on the old iOS style pinch zoom gesture.
    Is there an option to fix this?
    If not it should really be filed as a bug, since every other app I use on Android works the new way.
    I'm used to the one finger gesture and much prefer it, and I suspect other users feel the same.

    We don't support this currently. We are considering this but don't have a specific timeframe when it would be supported.

  • Pinch & zoom gestures not working in Safari

    Help!  Since updating iPhone 4 to iOs 5.1, "pinch & zoom" gestures do not zoom in on page in Safari.  Can anyone help with this?

    On Lion 10.7.2, iMac, pinch to zoom does not work at all in any application.  It is selected in Preferences.  Apple Genius & tech on the phone could offer nothing, no reason why, & no fix .  Better Touch Tool does not offer a pinch to zoom, so that didn't help.
    Among my friends, some say it works, some say it does not, about half & half.
    APPLE!  Please give us a fix for this!

  • Zoom Gesture on GoogleMaps in StageWebView

    I am loading GoogleMaps in one of my Flex Mobile applications using StageWebView. I have set the following meta viewport settings so that on Zoom Gesture, the map Zooms in and Out instead of the loaded Page:
    <meta name='viewport' content='user-scalable=no, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, minimum-scale=1.0' />
    But this doesn't work fine on Android devices, while it works well on iPad. On Android devices, it doesn't Zooms In or out.
    Any idea how to fix this. I know it is more of like HTML query but if someone has done something similar earlier, might help.
    Thanks

    I've provided an image for reference to making the corrections:
    I had this problem with my browser as well. I'm using OS X 10.6.8 but, Try this: type the following into the address bar: about:config
    Then use the filter (top left side) and type the word, Gesture.
    Make the following changes to the following 2 fields:
    For Zooming IN:
    browser.gesture.pinch.in ~ enter the field and type, '''cmd_fullZoomReduce browser'''.
    And for zooming OUT:
    gesture.pinch.out ~ enter the field and type, '''cmd_fullZoomEnlarge'''
    These changes should immediately restore the pinch gestures you are used to. Try it as soon as you make the changes and let us know. I've included a screenshot.
    Note the changes in the 2 lines and make them. This worked for me. Good luck.

  • Trackpad zoom gesture  hangs up between "focused points"

    In Safari, the trackpad zoom gesture more often than not hangs up between "focused points," that is, you have to repeat the gesture slightly to get it to focus properly.  I assume this is a common defect and I thought I saw a reference to fixing it in the last big OS 10.7 update.  No luck.  Any feedback on this?

    Hello:
    There is a feedback section for enhancement thoughts for Apple.  These forums are user-to-user.  Apple employees administer them, but it would be unusual if a suggestion were picked up from here, I think.

  • When will firefox 6.0 support swipe & zoom gestures in Lion?

    Updated my Mac to Lion, then updated FF to 6.0
    swipe & zoom gestures still do not work,will work in Safari

    If identity safe, part of Norton 360, doesn't work with the new version I do not want to waste my time with it.

  • Odd trackpad gesture issues

    It always starts when I tap with two fingers to zoom in to read articles. It wouldn't zoom, and everything stops working. Scrolling doesn't work. Going back to previous page doesn't work. Clicking on back button on the top left corner doesn't work either... It's stuck on the current webpage. Entering a new address will not take me anywhere either. It just stays on the same page. If I restart Safari, everything seems to work fine until I use gestures like zoom and going back to previous page (scrolling works). Gestures work on other applications though. It only happens on Safari. If I restart the computer, Safari works fine. But eventually the problem comes back somehow.
    I talked to someone at Apple store, and he recommended replacing my trackpad, which will cost around $140... Do I really have to replace the trackpad? I also have Snow Leopard on a different partition, and all the gestures work flawlessly. Furthermore, like I mentioned above, I'm only having issues with the gestures on Safari. Is there any other solution to this other than replacing the trackpad?
    I have a 2010 MacBook pro.

    If a repair tech who actually examined your trackpad said you do, why don't you believe him/her?  No one here can answer as we do not physically have access to your MBP to examine or perform diagnostic testing.  The only thing I can recommend is that you check out KB Article: CLICKY CLICK---> http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1248 Intel-based Apple Portables: Troubleshooting unresponsive trackpad issues
    like I mentioned above, I'm only having issues with the gestures on Safari.
    Are you saying that the trackpad works in other browsers as well as in the Finder & offline?

  • Zoom gesture not working??

    Hello, the pinch/zoom is not working when using safari? I tried it in iphoto and it worked there. i am using mac os x lion, all other gestures appear to b

    Right, if you don't have the buttonless trackpad you can't use all the gestures in Lion. With MacBooks it's only the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody that have the buttonless multi-touch glass trackpad. The Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s had the 2 button trackpads

  • Safari pdf zoom gesture fails

    Hey,
    Just a comment on features that stop working.
    After 'some' time I find that the pinch gesture that zooms pdfs inside a safari window just stop working.
    The only way to fix it I believe is a restart of safari.
    That is all.
    thx

    Moreover, automatically resize fits page to the width of window. This is the most stupid thing ever, considering my display is 1920*1080. It feels like every single letter is the same size as my eyeball.

  • Firefox 4 does not responds to pinching and zooming gestures on Macbook

    Previous Firefox 3 , i was able to enlarge text size by using 2 finger gesture on my MacBook touchpad, But it does not work on FF4.

    Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4.
    You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    browser.gesture.pinch.in -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReduce</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.out -> <b>cmd_fullZoomEnlarge</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> <b>false</b>
    To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

  • IPhone 6 Display Zoom Known Issues?

    I have an iPhone 6 64 GB and have noticed some peculiarities of the display zoom setting (Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Display Zoom -> View). When set to "zoomed" everything is enlarged to the same size of an iPhone 5S. However, when set to "standard", which takes full advantage of the larger display, there appears to be a few issues:
    1) Lock screen remains "zoomed" - Look at the top of the iPhone and the cell strength, carrier, WiFi, and time are all larger when locked.
    2) Some apps that claim to be optimized for iOS 8 have "zoomed in" look (Facebook, Spotify, anything Google). This also zooms the keyboard. How frustrating !
    I was wondering if others are having this same issue. Is this an app developer issue, an iOS 8 for all users, or an issue unique to me? All official Apple apps have appropriate "standard" setting, along with some others (Twitter and Beats Audio).

    it happens the same to me. Apple support made me clean restore from DFU mode. Then configured as new iPhone and same thing happens.
    The lock screen is zoomed and all no apple apps Except Twitter and telegram.
    It's pretty weird. They told me to send it to repair, but I will wait some days and see if there is a software update.

  • Problem with OS X, Cursor, Zoom, Dictionary Issues

    Hi All,
    I'm wondering if someone can provide some guidance to problems I've recently been having with my Mac Book Pro laptop. Starting about a week ago, my cursor on the screen seemed to grow a mind of it's own and all of a sudden started acting strangely. When I'd go to scroll down a screen it wouldn't respond at first and then it would respond but not go anywhere in the direction I was moving it. Simultaneously, the screen would zoom in and out and become unresponsive and then whatever text was in the range of the cursor would randomly hightlight in yellow and a dictonary definition of the word would pop up.
    If anyone has any experience with problems such as these, can you please let me know. I'm having these issues frequently enough to make the computer really unusable. I'm not sure if this is a problem with my computer itself or some software glitch. I've never had problems with this MacBook Pro before, and it is very new, purchased just like 18 months ago.

  • Command+SpaceBar (Zoom Tool) issues

    So it's been many generations now that the Zoom tool shortcut hasn't worked for me. I'm wondering how many other people have this problem and if they have figured out how to fix it.
    years ago I recall Apple making the dumb move of making +Space being a shortcut to Search, and I think that's when this stopped working. Disabling this function in OSX doesn't seem to bring back the Acrobat function properly. I cold care less about Spotlight. It's useless anyway, can't search worth a crap. So I've never had that short cut on anyway.
    Currently to get the Zoom tool to appear, I have to press +Space many times together before the zoom tool correctly shows up. After doing this, to get it tom come back again only requires pressing the 2 together a couple times before it shows up.
    I've had this problem for years now.
    Anyone else have this?
    Anyone fix this?
    Am I crazy?

    No problem, I just found the same issue again.
    I just found that there are TWO places to turn the spotlight keystroke off (and reset it). First in the keyboard pref I mentioned above and secondly at the bottom of the separate Spotlight Preference in System prefs. I turned it off in both places and now I don't have the problem anymore. I can still call spotlight by clicking the menubar, so no loss of functionality.
    Also, as an aside, I have always called the zoom function by pressing the 'Command' key first and then the spacebar. If you swap the order you press these two keys then Spotlight doesn't seem to be invoked. But this is a hassle to relearn after so many years. Just in case it helps,
    All the best,
