Zoom help (should b simple)

im am editing with CS4 and i need help zooming out. i have the camera view effect on the clip so i am zoomed in. i want 2 slowly zoom out and i don't know how 2 do it. basically it would be just like a flash motion tween. can any1 help me?

Don't know if this is the tutorial that Curt linked to, but an early one of his on Basic Keyframing will give you the details. It was done in an earlier version of Pr, but the concepts hold true.
Basically, what you are doing is using Keyframes to control your fixed Effect>Motion>Scale, timed as you wish. You can also do the same for Motion>Position, if you wish to pan/tilt around the image. These can be controlled independently of one another, or you can use the CTI in the Effects Control Panel to locate your various Keyframes in alignment on the mini-Timeline in Effects Control Panel. Note: you will want to also explore Ease-Out/Ease-In and Bezier adjustments to "smooth" out the velocity of these Keyframes. Ease-Out and Ease-In are good starting points.
You might want to use the WAB (Work Area Bar) to Render that section, to check how smoothly the Keyframing works, as without Rendering, it might be a bit choppy in playback.

You may download and install Devon Wordservice, an excellent third party app, to place a Sort commend in the Pages Services menu. There is also a native way to do it.
Wordservice is worth the effort because it gives you more than just sort capability. However, if you want to sort your list without the download, do the following:
Select the lines in your list.
Format > Table > Convert Text to Table.
Select one of the cells in the resulting table.
In the Table Inspector, Table tab, Edit Rows and Columns section, Choose Sort Ascending.
Format Table > Convert Table to Text.

Help with a simple 1811 configuration

I have a very basic level of understanding with Cisco products and I need help with what should be simple and even doable by me.
I have a Cisco 1811 integrated router and am simply trying to use it on my home network. I can configure the router with an enable secret password, password encryption, VTY, aux, and cons logins with no issues. The router has 2 Ethernet interfaces, 0 and 1 and 8 switch ports.
The idea is to bring Comcast ISP service into one of the Ethernet ports and then have three machines on the switch ports able to access the Internet. Also I have an off-the shelf wireless router that I thought I would just plug that into an available switch port and allow a wireless AP as well.
This is so simply, that I can't believe I can't figure it out, but I can't.
I set int F1 to DHCP, performed a 'no shut', and connected the ISP's router and have an up and up indication. I have setup a static network with my three machines on the switch ports and enabled all applicable ports and have up and up indications - however, no traffic flow, even amongst my static Layer 2 switched LAN - not even a 'ping'. By my understanding of Layer 2, this should work right now, whether the ISP service is working or not - WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
The addressing scheme I have ended up on is 172.16.1.0/28
Obviously without the first hurdle cleared, of why the switched LAN doesn’t work, I haven't got any deeper. Do I need to configure NAT? I don't think I would need to in the scenario right?
All of my experience, and none at the CCNA level, has been with larger Cisco equipment. One thing I noticed on the 1811 was that when trying to create a new VLAN, it appears to work yet does not do anything and the 'sh vlans' output returns nothing, not even the VLAN1 I can see with 'sh ip int brief".
Anyway, if anyone has time to help a newbie out I would appreciate it; I’m lost.

Thanks for the help Andrew! You know, I think if this was two separate devices (switch and router) I think I would be up and running, but this integrated stuff is throwing me off, not to mention that the IOS is a much older version (I guess) than what I'm used to.
They were throwing this 1811 in the trash can at work, so I just emptied the trash can. I have no documentation at all but I have since found the 1800 series documentation on Cisco.com and have tried to implement the basic configurations cited; with what seems like success, but still no joy. I did have to recover the password and did so with 0x2142, I bypassed the setup and compared the default configuration with what is listed in the documentation and they DO NOT match; I also tried to go through setup mode with the same indications. Additionally I've also learned that the 1800 series is pre-configured on certain options (DHCP, VLAN), which is new to me - I thought Cisco routers were not configured by default - isn't that kind of the point? (By the way, the below port status may not be correct since I now have all the ports unplugged)

For IMAP mail like Gmail, you can use the Edit button to create new folder. It doesn't work for POP mail.

Since you're in the Mountain Lion forum, it is indeed simple to create a "Saved" folder on your Mac and save emails into it. You should create the "Saved" folder using Finder.

If you are using Windows Vista go to All Programs/Palm and click on the folder and select Hot Sync Manager and then try to sync with the USB cable. If you are using the Windows XP go to Start/Programs/Palm/Hot Sync Manager and then try to sync. If you don’t have the palm folder at all on your PC you have to install it. Help doing a simple dissolve

This should be simple, but its driving me crazy. I'm trying to do a simple dissolve between a series of still images in IMovie (similar to what you get playing a slideshow in IPhoto). The closest I've gotten is using the Cross Dissolve transition, but it always dissolves, then you get a sudden jump to full strength photo. I just want it to dissolve from one image to another. I've tried every possible settings I can think of. Why is this so difficult?

first: make sure clip#1 and clip#2 are long enough to apply any transition (you cannot add a 10sec disolve to two 2sec long clips... hm? )

Should be simple, pls help - selectOneChoice valueChangeEvent not fired

Hi all, please help! This should be so simple and just work, but I couldn't get it after hours!
I have a simple selectOneChoice tag in my jspx page, with two selectItems with static values - nothing fancy. I just couldn't get the valueChangeEvent associated to it to fire. I have read many posts here, some say that's how it works if the backing bean scope is request because it's got reset back to the default value each time so value never got changed. Yes my backing bean is set to request scope, but it didn't look like it tried to set the default value every time I submit the form, when I tried to set the value to a variable in the backing bean and its getter didn't get called after the form is submitted (it got called the first time the page loaded). For other reasons, I can not set the bean scope other than Request. Please help if you have an idea -

By the way, I used JavaScript alert to test the values are actually changed every time I switch the dropdown.
Just in case you are wondering, the application was a 10g ADF app, migrated to 11g, all components are now Trinidad. As far as I can tell, that shouldn't matter.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If basic troubleshooting fails to resolve the issue, the next step is to take the device to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for evaluation.
Apple does not repair devices.
iDevices are not user servicable.
Any attempt by a 3rd party to repair the device will void the warranty and all rights to support from Apple and these forums.

Help with tables (should be simple...)

I'm trying to use a Table component as a spreadsheet template in my app:
I'd like the first column to be static-y labels (such as Sunday, Monday, etc.) and the rest of the columns to be bound to a relational data source. I thought that I could just create a simple String array of labels in the session bean and then wrap that array with an Object Array Data Provider on the page and bind the table column to the Object Array Data Provider. Doing this doesn't give me the desired/expected results, namely the first column displaying the labels. What am I missing? I can't seem to visually wrap an Object Array Data Provider around anything other than a bult-in DataType array (String, Integer, etc.) and the only properties of the String array that I can choose from for the column are CASE_INSENSITIVE_ORDER, bytes and empty??

Parenthetically, what are are the audiences of the Nabble forum vs. this forum? It seems (to me at least) that there is a lot of overlap in the Creator/VWP topics. Which forum is more active? Does anyone find that the Creator audience is migrating to the Netbeans VWP forum? I seem to be getting better responses to my queries on that forum, but that may be due to the nature of my (admittedly newbie-ish) posts.

Here is what I have written so far: Basically I want it to return all the locations like I have specified that do not have DA-REPL in the area_code table but it is just returning everything it seems.
select l.location_no, l.zone_code, la.area_code
from move.location l, move.location_area la
where la.location_no = l.location_no
and l.zone_code = 'Z-BIN'
and (l.location_no like '%%-%%-2%%' or l.location_no like '%%-%%-1%%')
and la.area_code != 'DA-REPL'
order by 1

Not sure if that helps anymore I am at a loss but still plugging away :)A little attention to code formatting could bring some sanity to yourself. Enclosing that formatted code in the code tags on this forum would bring a lot of sanity to those trying to help you:
select l.location_no

and   la.area_code != 'DA-REPL'
order by 1And once it is formatted for easier reading by humans, it's easier to see that you are missing an "and" (maybe "or"?) in your WHERE clause.
