Zoom in and out is not working in folders after installing Lion OS

Zoom in and out is not working in folders after installing Lion OS. Did not understand why?

Feature has been removed AFAIK. As far as zoom is concerned, the new operating system has been..whatever the opposite of optimized is...pessimized?

The forward, back, refresh, and stop buttons are not working. Even after installing the latest Firefox update. Also my home page stopped loading upon startup even tho I have it setup to do so. Anyone else experiencing these issues? This is my second request for help and of course, Firefox on-line support is always closed.

Those are all symptoms of a problem with the places.sqlite file, for details see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite

  • Webmail is not working internet explore after installed sp3 exchange 2007 roll up 15

webmail is not working internet explore after installed sp3 exchange 2007 roll up 15 but mozill firefox webmail is working fine

    Hi,
Does the issue happen to all users? What’s your IE version? Is there any error when you access OWA 2007 in IE?
Please click Compatibility View settings in your Internet Explorer. Then, add the OWA site to the list of sites to be viewed in compatibility view and check whether the issue persists.

    First sentence in OPs question:
I use a two button mouse with my Mac Book Pro
I guess the track pad settings would look similar to my screen shot?

  • Scrolling and zoom in and out does not respond with touch pad gestures

I have Just installed Firefox today not even an hour ago and already I've closed it at least 15 times reset it started it in safe mode and checked all my settings that have been tinkered with.
    I have: Windows 7 (64-bit)
Dell XPS Laptop and No mouse, using the Touchpad on the laptop
    I have Tried:
Changing multiple settings one at a time in about:config and changed them back
    Started in safe mode
    Changed scroll settings in Options
Uninstalled all Apps to see if that worked
Attempted scrolling in multiple kinda of pages (gmail, wiki, tumblr, facebook) with very little to no luck
I have had it just slightly move on Gmail and managed to make it zoom in somehow on Tumblr but have not managed to repeat either instance

Miss clicked. Keyboard commands do work. That is not the problem I reported. This (mouse roller with control key) used to work. Does not work now. Works in Gmail/firefox Works with web pages and firefox, works with chrome browser, but not with firefox and G-Docs

  • Why can't I zoom in and out on my MacBook Pro trackpad with my fingers it was working, now I have to use command + or - to zoom in and out? It works fine when I test it with Safarie or Google Crome browsers!

When I try to make a web page larger to view text better, I can no longer use my trackpad to do so. I must do this manually!

Yeah, that's what I ended up doing. It just wasn't worth the hassle. I got a good (standard size) monitor for about half the price of the old one, so I'm not too disappointed. Thanks for your help though

  • Drag and drop not working 1 day after installing OS 10.8.5

MacBook Pro 17", 2010, Upgraded from 10.6.8 to 10.8.5. Seemed to work OK. Next day, I noticed files & folders attach to cursor. When I hit esc key, folder returnes to original position. Photoshop also has problems with selection tool. Tried repairing permissione, ran Disk Warrior, booted in safe mode, no sticky curser, then rebooted normally & sticky curser was back Seems like quite a few people have been experiencing this, but I don't see any answers that have worked. Should I reinstall Mtn Lion? Thanks.

    Wow, thanks grant4sure!
I upgraded to Mountain Lion 10.8.5 yesterday. Today I had the dreaded sticky cursor. Googled the problem. Ran all sorts of disk utilities, P-RAM reset, safe booting, permission repairs, sharing all permissions. Nothing worked. Then I read your comment above about putting your Mac to sleep & waking it up. I did that and IT WORKED. My sticky cursor issue is fixed, Photoshop now works properly again. You saved me an OS re-install (which may not have fixed the problem!)
    Thanks again!

  • Font not working in iTunes after installing Marvericks

This is what my iTunes looks like when I opened it for the first time after upgrading to Mavericks.  What went wrong and how can I fix it??

Nevermind, I fixed it.  It must have happened when I tried to replace all the fonts that disappeared when I upgraded from my external hard drive.  To fix it, I used my husband's computer, copied all the fonts from his HD to my external, and then put them back onto my computer.
Not sure what font it was that went missing/was replaced though.  So if anyone else wants to chime in with the font Apple uses on the tool bar for its apps (turns out iPhoto, iTunes, iBooks, and the app store had unreadable tool bars) in case anyone else has this issue, feel free!

  • Dynamic link not working for PPCS4 after installing CS4

Background. I had CS3 Master Collection. I then needed some features in PPCS4 so I purchased that as a standalone upgrade. Recently I decided to upgrade the entire suite to CS4 Creative Suite 4.  Everything installed fine. However when I try to go from PPCS4 using Dynamic Link I get a message that says Adobe Dynamic Link requires Adobe Production Premium (which I have).  I assumed I needed to delete PPCS4 and I went so far as to delete the entire CS4 suite + the Premiere Pro and start over. Again, it installed fine but the same problem happens all over again.
Is there some config file somewhere or registry tweak so I can use dynamic link?  I am on Vista 64 machine.
    Thank you - Pat

Use the uninstall scripts from Adobe to completely remove all vestiges of PPro from your computer. Then perform the installation.
Links to the scripts are on the troubleshooting page.
    Cheers

  • Java7 and Java6 will not work opening pogo games on firefox, but works perfectly for IE, what can I do to fix this issue?

Java will not work on the computer all of a sudden. Now when I go to open a Pogo game room up i get a Mozilla red lego piece in the corner saying "Some plug ins have been De-activated for your safety, in the box will be "Java (TM) platform SE 6 U". I have removed Java7 and reloaded it, after that not working found Java6 and loaded and reloaded it and it is not working.
Now after 3 minutes of the room not loading Pogo will give me the error message of
Java Not Found or Not Working
    Explanation:
This error means Java (one of the technologies built into most browsers) is not working correctly on your browser.
You must have Java installed on your computer in order to run Pogo games, and it must be functioning properly. Either you don't have Java installed yet, or the Web browser you're currently using doesn't support Java or you have Java (or Javascript) disabled in your browser.
    How to Fix the Problem:
Java is a free download that is required to play Pogo games. Not all computers come with Java pre-installed.
If you haven't played Pogo games before and are getting this error, you probably just need to install Java on your computer.
For instructions on installing Java for your operating system and browser click here.
If you believe Java might be installed but disabled for your browser, please be sure to enable the plugin for your browser. If you need help, click here.
If you already have Java installed and it is not disabled, your Java may be out-of-date or no longer working. In that case, your Java might need to be upgraded or reinstalled. If you need help, click here.
I have done the click here in last sentence and all it wants me to do is download Java7 which was the first reason it was not working.
Hopefully I have explained this well enough, from Mozilla this is what I get BUT if I go to Internet Explorer (which I HATE) the Java6 and Java7 work perfectly fine. So apparently the Java is downloaded correctly I just can not get it to play nicely with Mozilla and that is my main goal.
EA games help page has gone through it all with me and have proven over and over (after 1 hour sessions, 45 waits for them) Java is working on my computer perfectly with IE just not on Firefox and with the rural situation I have become dependent on Mozilla because of the no fiber optics here it has been my best and only source of successfully using the internet here in the far out part of the country.

Thank you so much, for once in my computer life I knew what the problem was, what caused it, why it was caused, what it did, what it made it do and most importantly how to fix it and to do it correctly and expeditiously. I can not Thank You all enough for all of the help! I also have Pogo mailed this to all on my friends list, where they have all learned as I have and have fixed theirs also. and the message is being spread. Thank You again, I just can not say it enough.

  • I am not being able to re-install Lion. Can I re-install it in a simple process like a normal software or at least get my money back since is useless then?

Little after I purchased and Installed Mac OS X Lion in my Mac, the computer crashed and I am not being able to re-install Lion. I feel my money is being stolen.

I really appreciate the help and I think Apple is the greatest computer's company there is, but Ive being screwed. If you cant make an product that can be easily installed in a few simple steps just like the first installation process was, dont sell it. My Mac was working fine, I installed the Lion upgrade and a few days later I had a computer failure and the auto-restore message poped up.
When the Mac booted all I had is a blank folder blinking and I had to reinstall everything all over. Now on top of that I need to stcik to Leopard after paying for Lion and I cannot return it. I understand some people found a way around it and are able to install it anyways, but I shouldnt have to do all that. Thanks a lot though! I really like this whole ideea about Apple Support Community and will do anything I can to help others just like you guys did.

  • Pinch in and out on trackpad not working to zoom in and out in firefox

Ever since i bought my macbook pro (early 2011) I was able to use the pinch in and out trackpad feature to zoom in and out in firefox. This suddenly stopped working a couple of days ago. It still works in safari so this seems to be Firefox specific. All other trackpad features are still working too.
I uninstalled Firefox on my mac by moving the Firefox icon to the trash and downloaded/installed it again. Note that i didn't delete my profile (just deleted the Firefox icon) so all bookmarks were preserved even after downloading and installing Firefox from scratch. This didn't help fixing the issue.
Any ideas on this problem ? how to fix it?
    Thanks!

All these programs seem to be for windows. I am facing the issues with firefox on a macbook pro.
I wasn't suggesting resetting Firefox. I have already done this step a couple of days ago as I was facing connectivity issues with some websites completely freezing and not loading. reset didn't help. I started seeing the trackpad issue around the time i did the reset.
I am wondering if uninstalling Firefox and deleting all data associated with it (profiles etc) would fix the issue. Can you advise on what should be deleted with firefox?
