Zoom in & out of an active app makes my head ache

Hi all. I don't know if it's just me, but I really find switching from one app to another makes my head aches due to the frame being zoomed out first before launching it to the full version. I have a slight issue with motion on my screen, that's why I don't use this kind of transition setting in my PowerPoint presentations. Is there any way to just switch from one window to the next without having the active frame zoom out first and then fly out top left? I feel dizzy right away after a few minutes of using this z10.
I love this phone and I would like to enjoy it to the fullest. Thanks

The only other (still similar) method is to touch at the bottom of the active screen and drag SLOWLY up to place it in the corner, it will slow down the animation some, but still basically the same.
Otherwise, there is not a way to disable that.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music'  then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

  • OBI HD App No zoom in/out option

    Hi Experts,
I have got Oracle BI HD App on my ipad2 and its pointing to OBIEE 11.1.1.6.8 version and Zoom in/out is not avialable in it. I can see the dashboards as i see on any web browser.
Earlier when i pointed Oracle BI HD App to OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0 , zoom in/out option was avaiable and I need not have to scroll out horizontally(verticall scroll is fine).
please provide inputs if there is any configuration required for OBIEE 11.1.1.6.8 version Zoom in/out so that whole dashboard tab fits into my ipad screen and zoom in/out can be used.
    Cheers

An I insane or did they remove the zoom in/out buttons in the Maps app? As if the app didn't have enough problems...
What if I only have one hand free? I can't zoom. Astonishingly dumb if this is true.

But that's the thing - what if you don't have two fingers fee? If you're holding your phone in one hand, your other hand is occupied, you can't tap with two fingers.
Absolutely ridiculous. Another example of how stupid and flawed this app is... Astonishing. Makes no sense. Just give me google maps back please.

  • No audio when QT is active app

I'm on Dual 2.5G5 running Tiger 10.4.11 with QT 7.4. This problem existed with 7.3 as well.
I can't hear audio when QT Player is the active application. When I make another app active, (FCP or Motion) thus putting QT Player in the background, I can then hear audio. I think I have the correct boxes checked in preferences unless there's something that should stay unchecked.
    Thoughts anyone?

  • Sometimes when panning with the hand tool, it zooms way out instead of just moving the canvas

So normally when you hold the space key and drag, it just moves the canvas, but every now and then, seemingly randomly, it zooms way out and shows a little box which is the size and shape of the area of canvas I was previously looking at. If I move the box and let go of space, it zooms to that location, but all I wanted was to move normally. I don't think I've ever wanted the zoom out, move, then zoom back in behavior. What causes that? How do I make it stop?

It's "bird's eye view" and by coincidence, your problem was discussed in another thread last night: Problem with zoom in Photoshop CS6

  • T510: TouchPad no longer allowing for zoom in/out

My TouchPad is all the sudden no longer allowing for zoom in/out.  How do I restore that function.
Moderator Note: Edited subject to match content.

My T520 has recently developed a similar problem.
With no obvious warning it now seems unable to recognise the trackpad/point. I've tried various combinations of uninstalling/installing drivers etc with no success.
When clicking on the mouse tab in Control Panel an error message says: Unable to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device. It then suggests removing the synaptics driver and then reinstalling other mouse drivers. This doesn't make sense as I don't have any other mouse drivers installed (bar the in-built Win7 ones which can't be removed anyway). Then rebooting the system results in no pointing devices being available at all. The trackpad gets recognised as a PS2-compliant device and prompts installation of drivers (from synaptic) which just gets back to square one.
Also, the control panel mouse tab won't show the ultranav utility even though that is installed properly.
So, I'm having to use an external mouse as the system doesn't seem to be able to properly use the trackpad/point. I'll keep troubleshooting but suspect this may be a software/driver issue as it was working perfectly up until recently and the hardware can still "see" the device. Both are enabled in BIOS.
Any other people experienced similar problems?

  • ScrollPane zoom in/out

Hello, this is my first post.
I'd like to add zoom in/out function to my ScrollPane, and make shortcut (CTRL+MOUSE SCROLL UP/DOWN) for it. ( like Inkscape )
I made the following code ( Canvas ) to achieve this, but have some problems.
*1. How can I prevent ScrollBar's thumb to move when pressing CTRL?*
When ScrollBar is visible and ScrollBar's thumb (or scroller, knob) has room to move, CTRL+MOUSE SCROLL UP/DOWN doesn't work because the thumb moves instead of zooming in/out.
When the thumb moves up/down to bar's end, then zoom in/out finally works fine.
*2. ScrollEvent handler is sometimes not called in ScrollPane*
When ScrollBarPolicy is not ScrollBarPolicy.ALWAYS and Scrollbar is not visible, SOMETIMES CTRL+SCROLL UP/DOWN operation dosen't work.
(ScrollEvent handler is not called. For other panes, ScrollEvent works fine. Please check MouseScrollEventTest below)
    Thank you in advance.

  • Keyboard input goes to previously-active app

Fairly often I'll change focus to a different app by pointing at it and tapping on the trackpad, or command-tabbing to it, the title bar will change to show the app I selected is now active, and I'll start typing...and the typing goes to the previously active app. Say, for example, I'm looking for something in a finder window, then command-tab to firefox, then command-w to close a tab. Instread of the tab closing the finder window closes. Yet, firefox is the active app. It's not a matter of slowness in the interface, either, I can be looking at firefox, see the title bar is active and the traffic lights in the upper left are lit, hit command-w, and something else on my screen disappears. Happens several times per day. I get characters intended for the search field of iTunes instead going to a cell in Excel all the time, or command-h hiding the wrong app, or control-tab doing who knows what rather than changing tabs in firefox, or....
Anyone else? Any idea why I'd have this trouble? This has been happening since about the time I got a magic trackpad in September 2010 (if I recall), but I can't imagine it's a problem with the trackpad since it happens when I change apps with command-tab, too.

This has happened twice in the last half hour...
I copy some text from Excel, then press the (x) button in the search field of iTunes, which makes iTunes active and clears the search field, and command-v to past the text. The text goes into the same cell in Excel that it came from, so no harm but not only is iTunes not active anymore, my text didn't go where it was supposed to go. But the search field did clear and now says "Search Store", so I know iTunes got the (x) button press. I didn't imagine it.
    ETA: make that three times.

  • Activity app did not ask me for set up

When I launched the activity app for the first time, it did not ask me for my stats (gender, etc.) it it should have according to the guided tour. Hard tapping on the app only allows me to customize calorie goals.
How do I set this app up?

    Hi mapex_venus,
After reading your post, I went through the Apple Watch User Guide and found the steps to adjust your personal info:
    https://help.apple.com/watch/#/apd7d17e9500
Apple Watch uses the information you provide about your height, weight, gender, and age to calculate how many calories you burn, how far you travel, and other data. In addition, the more you run with the Workout app , the more Apple Watch learns your fitness level—and the more accurately it can estimate the calories you’ve burned during aerobic activity.
Your iPhone GPS allows Apple Watch to achieve even more distance accuracy. For example, if you carry iPhone while using the Workout app on a run, Apple Watch uses the iPhone GPS to calibrate your stride. Then later, if you’re not carrying iPhone, or if you’re working out where GPS is unavailable (for example, indoors), Apple Watch uses the stored information about your stride to measure distance.
Update your height and weight.  Open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, tap My Watch, tap Health, Weight, or Height, and adjust.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,

  • Zoom In/Out Auto

I'm doing a project in Macromedia Director MX 2004 (windows
xp). The project includes a gallery.
I would like to know how you can have a zoom in auto effect
when you rollover the mouse pointer on a thumbnail of the gallery
and a zoom out effect when you leave the thumbnail area (something
like the Bar Menu on Mac OS). Please! Any help would be useful!
    Thanks

That is a terrible way to do your zoom effect. For several
    reasons.
Using globals for the a,b,c, and d values is overkill. Unless
    other
sprites need access to those values, it is better to use
    properties, and
in fact, you can use a single property to store the entire
    rect. Also,
you don't need to hard code the values. The way I did it will
    store the
original rect that you set in authoring mode, so you can use
    the same
behaviour without any changes on multiple sprites. Also,
    doing your
scaling on mouseWithin is not a good idea for several
    reasons. First
off, it is difficult to make it zoom back out since there is
    no
opposite, like mouseNotWithin. Second, it messes up some time
    based
animations, so using enterFrame like I did here is a better
    method.
Basically, there is a property called pGrowing which is set
    to 0 at
first. When it is 0, nothing happens. On enterFrame, it gets
    set to 1.
As long as pGrowning is 1, then it will start to scale
    upwards, until
it is 10 pixels larger in each direction, then pGrowing gets
    set back to
    0 so it stops growing.
And on mouseLeave, it gets set to -1 which means start
    shrinking. And
the same process happens in reverse.
Watch for inadvertent line breaks... this should be exactly
    35 lines of
    code.
    property pGrowing, pRect
    on beginSprite me
    pRect=sprite(me.spriteNum).rect
    pGrowing=0
    end
    on mouseEnter me
    cursor 280
    pGrowing=1
    end
    on mouseLeave me
    cursor -1
    pGrowing=-1
    end
    on enterFrame me
    case pGrowing of
    1: --growing
    if sprite(me.spriteNum).rect[1] = pRect[1]-10 then
    pGrowing=0
    else
    sprite(me.spriteNum).rect =
    sprite(me.spriteNum).rect+rect(-1,-1,1,1)
    end if
    -1: --shrinking
    if sprite(me.spriteNum).rect[1] = pRect[1] then
    pGrowing=0
    else
    sprite(me.spriteNum).rect =
    sprite(me.spriteNum).rect-rect(-1,-1,1,1)
    end if
    end case
    end

  • Zoom in/out in vision

I'm using PCI1409 board and sony's CCD camera.
I want to grab/snap every pixel of CCD, but show in half scale.
(that means, CCD 640x480 pixel, buffer size is 640x480, but canvas size is 320x240)
I want save the every pixel value and show half scale in the panel. (test software in MAX does it well)
    How can I make it?
And tell me about the difference between picture and canvas control.

    Kaist,
Are you using the new IMAQ Image Control that was introduced with LabVIEW 7.0 and IMAQ 2.6? With this Image Control you can zoom in/out of your image. Since this is only for the display, it will not affect your actual pixel values. Best of all, this is included in LabVIEW and you will not need Vision.
If you need to use the picture control, you may have to create a new array and parse out every other row and column yourself.
