Zoom In Out pop-up - keyboard commands to activate

What are the keystrokes required to activate the pop-up in IE6, IE8?
Is there a listing of keyboard commands that is asy to locate?

I actually want to activate that popup using the keyboard so that I can select the zoom in and zoom out also using the keyboard.

  • Keyboard command mistake activates unwanted guides over image when moving cursor.

inadvertently i have hit a keyboard command that has given me an unexpected result. When I pass the cursor over an image horizontal, vertical and 45 degree angle guides pop up over various parts of the image. Also paths, anchor points, intersects and alignments are defined in very small text that follows the cursor, especially the pen tool. All of these things flash on and off as I move the cursor around the image. I find this very distracting and want to turn off this feature but I don't know which key I hit to turn it on. Any thoughts?

Cmd(Ctrl)-U is the toggle for Smart Guides.

  • CS6: keyboard command for zoom in

In CS4 I used the keyboard command, command+space bar, to zoom in to a area I selected with the marquee tool. I used this all the time. With CS6 the same keyboard command works differently. I don't have the option to select the area I want with the marquee tool. Is there a way to do it in CS6?

Go to the zoom tool, turn off "scrubby zoom".

The keyboard command for Zoom In and Zoom Out works as you would expect. To help you understand why they aren't working, try the following.
Without pressing any other key, press the "<"," in your text field? The reason you get the preferences menu when adding the Command key to this is because "Command ," is the keyboard command for the preferences in Pages, and Safari etc.
In order to Zoom In or Out you just add the Shift key modifier, just as you would to type a "<" or ">" character.
I will admit that this isn't intuitive on Apple's part. Since most shortcut keys, or hotkeys, just use letters, the menu will use the "arrow pointing up" symbol to identify when you need to use the Shift modifier. In the case of the ",<" key, it is dual purpose. Apple assumes that you will know to add Shift to get the "<" character.
Hopefully that clears this up for anyone else interested.

  • Zoom In/Out

I'm trying to zoom in/out of a 3D room. At the moment, I've
replicated this using a translate function:
if gZoomIn then pCamera.translate(0,0,-1) --gZoomIn refers to
the mousedown of a different sprite
But I don't want to move the whole camera. Is the
'FieldOfView' the best function to use? I can set this to a
specific angle (like 90 below) but I can't seem to increment this
    by +/-1 on a mousedown
    if gZoomIn then pCamera.fieldofview =90
Any ideas on how to script this?

Yes, the 'zoom' feature of real-life cameras is the
equivalent of the field of view of director 3d camera objects.
Physically moving the camera forwards and backwards towards the
target is actually called 'dollying' in real life.
To narrow the field of view by one degree per frame, you
    could use something like this:
    if gZoomIn then pCamera.fieldofview =pCamera.fieldofview - 1
You'll want to limit it to a minimum though, which can easily
be achieved by using the 'max' command:
    if gZoomIn then pCamera.fieldofview
    =max(30,pCamera.fieldofview - 1)
The above line will zoom in, but keep the field of view from
going lower than 30 degrees. The matching 'zoom out' would look
    like this:
    if gZoomOut then pCamera.fieldofview
    =min(120,pCamera.fieldofview + 1)
    hope this helps!

  • Can someone fix Firefox 10 so it doesn't undermine my Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 keyboard commands?

I notice this most frequently in Photoshop - the keyboard stops responding to keyboard commands (e.g. "m" to select marquee tool does not work, command-spacebar to select zoom tool does not work). All I have to do is to quit Firefox and they work again. So there is a conflict between the two. I would like to be able to to run Firefox in the background without having an issue. There is no way Adobe is going to fix it at their end, so I was hoping someone could address this. iMac 2.8Ghz Intel Core i5; 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3; OS X 10.6.8

  • My keyboard commands in Adobe Illustrator aren't working after the new update

    Hello,
I like many others have done the new software update for the Mac - OS X Yosemite. And theres been a few bugs I've experienced. Along with slow internet my Adobe Creative programs have been acting up.
Mainly Adobe Illustrator CS5.5 - first was the font preview playing up but have fixed that with reduce transparency option. But now and the more annoying one is keyboard command keys are not working.
Main ones I have notice so far are: Delete, Shift + Command anything, Tool Bar shortcuts i.e Selection Tool (V) etc.
Its incredibly annoying and is actually interfering with my ability to work especially the simple one of deleting. I have seen a lot questions similar but to other programs and other suite versions. Please have anyone found an solution or please Adobe gives us the key to resolve this as it is a major inconvenience and is stopping productivity.
    Many Thanks
    Phoebe K

    Phoebe,
Item 7) in 5) (follow the link) in the general list below shows the usual suspects. You may use that to find out which to avoid.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
    1) Close down Illy and open again;
    2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
    5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
    Even more seriously, you may:
    6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

  • Keyboard command-b works, return to plain text via command-t doesnt work

I am helping my Dad out here, we have figured out a couple of glitches he is having using the Word Processing thanks to Discussions.
The last thing we cannot figure out is that he has been used to typing keyboard command-b, then a string of bold words, then command-t to go back to regular text, but it is not returning to plain text anymore, it is printing super text. he has to change it 2x via the menu bar. Time consuming and annoying because command-t used to work.
    Any advice on this one?
    Thank you.

Is the behavior specific to one document or a few documents, or does it affect all word processing documents?
*+It is happening to two very long documents that i tried it on, but not to a couple of shorter ones he has.+*
Is the behavior specific to one account? Test by opening and working on an affected document using a different account. (You may need to Get Info on the file and change Ownership and Permissions to allow "Others" to "Read and Write", and you may need to create a second account on the machine.)
*+There is only one account being used.+*
What version of the Mac OS is your dad using?
+*Mac OSX 10.2.8 on an iMac PowerPC G4*+
    What version of AppleWorks?
+*AppleWorks 6.2.7 (he is 87 and understandably doesn't want to upgrade unless absolutely necessary. He is working on something relatively important, and wants to finish it up. If it were me,...*+
Maybe a glimmer: What happens if you're typing plain text, press command-T (once), continue typing another word, press command-T again, and continue typing?
+*In one of the offending documents, I tried that, it went from plain text to SUPERIOR text, back to plain. It seems to be toggling between plain and SUPERIOR on some of the documents (the two longest, hundreds of pages documents.*+
**He is very happy this is getting worked out, at least things are better. I will be here tonight, then I go back home for several weeks at least, so will check back again later. If something comes up I can do it tonight, or maybe talk him through it next week. In any event, I will keep up with the post.**
    **Thanks for all the time.**

  • Can't Erase deleted Messages with apple-K keyboard command anymore...?

Last few weeks I've noticed that the keyboard command Apple -K will no longer erase deleted message....has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, is there a workaround? Thanks in advance...
    Dual 2.0 Ghz G5, 1 GB RAM, 10.4.3
Power Mac G5 Dual 2 GB (first gen)   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Same experience here. Addidionally, while I had more than one account configured, for a while, %K would pop up a new dialog box, asking for confirmation. That was unwanted new behaviour too, I think. The dialog box went away when I removed the inactive account, though.
It's not just deleted messages that don't go away: it's the remaining copy of messages moved into other mail folders, too. This leaves "deleted" copies of messages littered throughout my (extensive) imap folder hierarchy. Aargh!
The only work-around that I've found is to use another mail client program to clean up the mail boxes.

  • Shortcut to Zoom in/out on audio waveform in source window?

Right now the only way i can figure out how to zoom in/out on an audio waveform in the source monitor is by sliding that thin bar area in or out (not sure what that bar is called). Is there a keyboard short cut to do this? - / + and the actual zoom tool are only working on the timeline for me, even though the program window is highlighted.
    Thanks

    In CS6, + / - work.
    Thank you, Adobe!

  • Boot-up keyboard commands not working

    Hello.
For some reason, when my iMac is booting up, the keyboard commands to affect boot-up (for example, holding Option to pick which drive to boot into) do not work. It wasn't too much of an issue before, since I could access my Boot Camp partition through the Startup Disk preferences pane. But that partition suddenly stopped showing up there, and with holding Option not working, my Boot Camp drive is essentially inaccessible to me. Does anyone know why these keyboard boot-up commands are not working, or any way to fix this? I'd greatly appreciate any help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Please help!
I picked up a Mac Pro Dual Intel Quad-Core from a partners office. The system has four 750gb drives. It had Tiger on it.
Here are the steps I tried:
    1. I got leopard and installed it. I installed on drive 1.
    2. Software updates. Installed Flash runtime and Silverlight runtime.
    3. Opened boot camp and split the boot drive equally for windows and mac os.
    4. I then tried installing Vista Business and my monitor freaked out. I started having weird colors displaying after the boot up to the Windows Vista Disk. The Disk is from my MSDN subscription and I've installed with it before. The install failed after Windows install restarted the machine.
    5. Reformatted all the drives and reinstalled Leopard with the OSX boot DVD. I skipped installing updates and just went straight to boot camp after a fresh Leopard install. Same problem on windows install.
    6. I thought the drive might be messed up, so I wiped all the drives again and tried installing OSX on drive 4. BIG MISTAKE :-/
OSX worked but once I started installing windows Vista it crapped out again.
Now I can't boot to anything.
I tried manually putting each drive into bay 1 to boot. No dice.
None of the boot shortcut commands seem to work: Holding option does nothing at start up. Can't boot into single user mode. Holding c does nothing at start up. It's possible my keyboard is not working correctly because I have had problems with my USB keyboard in the past.
Any suggestions?? I'm going nuts here and I need this machine set up ASAP for a huge project.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Over-riding OS Keyboard commands

I am doing a little remedial self training on keyboard commands. I went to F10 to do an overwrite edit and instead got the grey out/window separating action as in the OS.
How can I over-ride this when I am working in FCP and then reconnect the OS commands when not in FCP?
I sure the way to do this is sticking out like a sore thumb someplace but I am missing it.
    Thx
    Quad G5, Dual G5, Dual G4   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

    Thanks Jim
...but actually that is not the solution. Your post got me sniffing around and the answer lies in the keyboard pref pane. F9 through F12 are assigned to windows management. All you have to do is uncheck the boxes and voila...that freed up FCP to use those keys.
Thanks for pointing me in the pref pane direction.
