Zoom photos in ipod nano

can i view text photos in ipod touch nano and can i zoom in

By text photos I assume you mean photos of text?  If so, yes, you can, but you won't be able to zoom in on them.

  • Transferring photos from ipod nano to mac mini

I cannot transfer my photos from my ipod nano to my mac mini. I have connected my ipod to the mini and opened up iphoto but I don't have the option to import my photos.

An iPod nano is not a camera, so you can't do that with iPhoto.
There is a setting that relates to your question.  Select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, go to the Photos tab.  There is a checkbox there, that says Include full-resolution photos.  If that setting was checked WHEN you synced the photos to your iPod, then the iPod will have a copy of photo files at full-resolution.  To retrieve them, Enable disk use on the iPod's Summary tab.  Open the iPod's storage as a "disk," and look for the image files in Photos folder.
If that setting was NOT already checked, then the iPod only has a low-resolution database of "thumbnails" instead of the photos; they are optimized to fit the very small screen on the nano (and save storage space).  They are not in a format that can be used directly on a computer.  There may be third-party utilities that can retrieve the images as individual files, but they would look terrible blown up to computer screen size.  The way they are converted and stored on the iPod, each image is only meant to look decent on the iPod's tiny screen.

  • Cannot delete photos from iPod nano 3G

My brother, a windozer, has last week bought a iPod Nano. He was playing around a bit and loaded, he don't remember how, some photos on the Nano.
He is now desperately trying to remove these photos from his nano. I suggested him to define one folder with just one photo in it, sync with that one in iTunes, with the hope that the Nano will get this only photo and delete all others. Unfortunately this does not work.
    Any hints?

Has he tried Restoring the iPod in iTunes ???

  • How can you transfer photos from iPod Nano to new iMac?

My friend has an ipod nano. Here's a photo, not sure what gen. it is.
He had a PC that no longer works and has no data left on it. His original iPod Photos were stored on that PC that no longer works.
He has since purchased an iMac and is running Lion OS X, all up to date.
The problem: He NO LONGER has the ORIGINAL PHOTOS, only the ones on his iPod Nano, that used to work with his PC, which no longer functions.
He would like to copy the photos stored on his iPod Nano, to his new iMac.
Using finder, he went to Device, then clicked PHOTOS and dragged the folder to his desktop. It said there was 1.43 GB of content.
However, all that was saved to the desktop was (see other photo) Photo Cache, Photo Database and Thumbs. There are no photos at all. What is he doing wrong? Thanks.

There are a number programs out there for recovering photos from an iPod, have a look at the ones below. If you search the internet you can find more. Just be aware that what you'll be recovering will be photos optimised for the iPod so they won't be the same quality as the original full resolution versions:
    iPodPhotoCopy Windows only
    CopyPodPhoto Windows only
Tansee iPod Transfer Photo Windows only
iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
TouchCopy Mac and Windows Versions (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
If you have full resolution copies of the photos on the iPod have a look here: Apple Knowledge Base article - Use Disk Mode to copy photos from iPod

  • Photos on ipod nano not synching correctly

I just received an ipod nano 8g for christmas..i finally learned how to put the music on but am having trouble with the photos..i have a windows vista and have created a folder for the photos i want for my ipod..then i synch them just like they tell me to do..there are 28 photos in the folder and im only getting 8 to go onto the ipod and those are all messed up..hard to explain..lines of all different colors through the photos..i get a message that says not all photos can be synched to my ipod..but i dont understand why...what am i doing wrong...ive tried several times and different folders on my computer and same problem..not all the photos go on and the ones that do have lines all through them...im getting pretty frustrated and any help would be greatly appreciated...im new to all this technology stuff..thanx again

I think most of us are having problems with this which is annoying. If you check out the other e-mail threads you may possibly solve something for your own ipod that might work. I suspect it is looking likely though that it's not Vista compatible due to the amount of problems being experienced..very disappointing. Good luck

  • Not able to add photos to ipod nano

    Dear All,
I just bought a new Ipod. I am able to music to it. But I am not able to add photos to it. I read all the posts in the forums, ipod tutorials and "Ipod nano features guide.pdf" and followed the same instructions. But still I am not able to add any photos.
    I followed the below steps:
    1. Put my photos to a new folder
    2. Then go itunes, ipod options, then ipod, then photos, then put a check to 'sync. photos from',then select the new folder.then press OK
But nothing happens, I don't see any progress that it is uploading photos to my iPod.
Note that I have selected "Manually manage songs and playlists" option in the music tab.
Any help to fix my ipod problem would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & regards

Excuse me if you have, but have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod? Or right-clicking it in itunes and choosing "Update"? Photos will only be updated if the entire iPod is going through an update.

  • Help!!! : Adding photos on ipod nano

I try to add photos on my ipod nano. From itunes file menu I select "Add folder to library" and from the tab "photos" "sync photos from" and "all photos" and then "Apply". But all my previous photos stored in my ipod are delleted.
How can I add new photos without delletind the allready existing in my ipod???
Thank you in advance for your help

You don't add photos through Add to Library. Create a folder on your hard drive called called "iPod Photos" or something similar and drag the photos you want on your iPod to it. Connect your iPod and in the photo tab for the iPod, point iTunes to "sync photos from" and choose to update from your new folder. If you keep a dedicated folder like this, you won't need to edit your normal pictures folder just for the iPod and you can add and remove picture from it whenever you need to.

  • Downloading photos on ipod nano

I got ipod nano and want to download pics on it and in itune source there is no photo option.. Can anybody help me regarding this.

The photo tab isn't in the Source list, it's one of the preference tabs for the iPod. Connect your iPod and when it appears in the source list lick on it's icon, this will bring up the preference tabs in the main pane on the right. Look along the tabs and you'll see one for photos.
Here's a simple "How To" on downloading photos from a folder on your hard disk to an iPod:
1 Create a folder on your hard drive to hold the photos you want on your iPod. Call it iPod Photos for example
2 Drag the photos you want from your usual picture folder into the folder you just created
2 Open iTunes, select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
3 Click the Photos tab and select “Synch photos from.”
4 Choose “Choose Folder” from the pop-up menu and select the iPod photos folder you created.
5 When you want to change what photos are on the iPod just add or remove the photos from the folder you have made and syncronise the the iPod
On a small device like the 2GB Nano I would tend to leave the "Include Full Resolution photos" box unchecked as these will take up a lot of space on the iPod and are only useful if you want to copy photos from one computer to another. iTunes will add "optimised", small TV quality versions of the photos to the iPod for you to view.
iTunes will add "optimised", small TV quality versions of the photos to the iPod for you to view. if you want to include full size photos so you can move them from one computer to another check the "Include Full Resolution photos" box. When you want to change the photos on the iPod you simply add or remove the photos you want from your iPod Photos folder and sync the iPod.

  • Can't add photos to iPod nano, folder "Unknown" cannot be found.

when I try to sync photos to my nano, it says it fails because the folder "Unknown" cannot be found... can anyone help me with that?
      Windows XP

    Hi TheConeZone!
I would suggest that you try doing this:
Connect your iPod to your computer, and click on it in the Source List of iTunes.
    Go to the "Photos" tab.
Here, deselect the "Sync" option for the photos.
Click "Apply" in the bottom-right corner to save your changes.
Then, disconnect your iPod from your comptuer when the sync is complete.
Now, let's try searching for any corrupt "iPod Photo Cache" folders that might be laying around:
    1 - Go to "START > Search".
2 - Select "All files and folders", and make sure that you are searching over your entire hard drive.
3 - Then, type "ipod photo cache" in the blank, and click "Search" to begin searching.
4 - When the search is complete, delete any "iPod Photo Cache" folders that you may find on your computer.
After you've done that, connect your iPod to your computer, and now select "Sync" with your photos, and select the folder that you want to sync to your iPod.
Click Apply to save your changes.
Then, if needed, select "Sync iPod" from the File menu in iTunes, to update your iPod with the changes you have just made.
After trying that, can you sucessfully transfer your photos to your iPod, or not?

    Hi JJelder,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
How much space do you have one your iPod left. In your iPod go to Settings (in the main menu) > About and see what it says. How are you putting them in your iPod exactly? Did you look at iPod 101: Put Pics on My ’Pod?

  • Loading Photos onto iPod Nano

I'm trying to load a few photos onto my iPod nano. Right now, Itunes is telling me I have 53.6mb of free space, and windows says the contents of the folder I'm trying to load is only 6.61mb. But when I try to load the photos, I get an error message that there isn't enough room.
Is there something I'm missing here?

  • How to transfer photos from iPod Nano 3rd Generation to my Mac (or PC)?

i have a very old iPod, with pictures on it that i really need them, and i dont have the original ones on the PC! i tried iPhoto and Image Capture as ways to transfer them to PC but it didnt connect or show on them... i tried to connect the ipod to windows and copy them fro My Computer, but only certain pictures are found, not all the pics on th ipod... is there anyway to get them on PC or even on iPhone device?

You are going to have to use 3rd party software in order to move them, use Google to search for one. Keep in mind unless you copied them to your Nano as part of disk storage (in other words if you synced them) they will be very small thumbnails when you get them on your PC.
