Zoom shortcuts on Reader 10.1.1 and Mac OS 10.6

Hello,
I'm using Mac OS 10.6.8 and Reader 10.1.1.
Ever since I upgraded to Adobe Reader 10 I have had problems with the zoom shortcuts (i.e. command + , command -).
Instead of zooming, command+ rotates the document, and command- simply does nothing. However, the problem is not always present. Usually it occurs when I first open the program, and later in the day it fixes itself, and the zoom shortcuts start working again. When I try closing and reopening at the start of the day, it doesn't fix the problem. I can't work out what it is that makes it fix itself. Today I upgraded to Reader 10.1.1 thinking this may have fixed the problem, but it's still there.
It's very annoying. I have searched the web for others who have had a similar problem but not found anything.
Is there a patch that can fix this that anyone knows of?

I have the same problem. Seems to resolve itself after several minutes. One additional piece of information - on Mac, command-option + performs a rotate, as does command-option -. The bug may be related to some confusion about which modifier keys are depressed. I am not experiencing any other problems with phantom options keys though, nor would that explain why command-option - does nothing.

Hi,
Just installed Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and when I try to open a .pdf, the file opens for around 5seconds and then disappears and Reader closes without any apparent error message.
In all my years of using free Acrobat (now reader? - why the change in name?) I've never had an issue as just a "dumb" user... I'd sure like to get back to that situation ;-)
Here is what gets written into the console window if that helps:

The name was Adobe Acrobat Reader until version 5.0. As of 6.0 (2003)
they changed it to Adobe Reader.

Can't print PDF with Adobe Reader 10.1.12 and Mac OS 10.7.5

I can print other things from this computer to my printer but not PDFs. Have been able to for years but not now. "Print as image" works but print quality too low.
Using HP Laser Jet P3005dn
Very frustrating. Have not gotten anything from apple, HP, or adobe communities.

Went back to HP.com and this time was able to see and download latest driver and firmware for HP LaserJet P3005dn Installation of new firmware was done thru the HP Printer Utility application on my iMac OS 10.7.5
I was able to choose my printer and then upload the firmware file from the iMac to the printer. This has completely solved the problem!

why are the short cuts for zooming in Adobe Reader not the same as in other Adobe applications like Photoshop and Illustrator? CTRL + "+" and CTRL + "-"
What are the short cuts for zooming in Adobe Reader?

Not at my system:
CTRL+"+" and CTRL+"-" (both on NumPad) have no visual effect.
CTRL+"+" with the "+" on the normal keyboard scrolls down like PageDown.
I use Acrobat 9 Pro 9.3.1 und Windows 7 64bit (but the same effect under 32bit).

Is there a keyboard shortcut to zoom the height of the graph editor? I want to disable the autozoom... Thx.

If you disable auto-zoom, then you can Alt-drag with the Zoom tool to zoom vertically. Is this what you want?

Staroffice 8 Zoom Shortcut keys not working

(Solaris 10, Staroffice 8 U3 rev 2, Sunray)
The shortcut keys for zoom in Drawing and Presents used to be the "+", "-", "/" and "*" keys (with num lock ON).
The issue:
The + and - keys still zoom in and out, but the / and * keys no longer zoom anything
What I am expecting:
The "/" should zoom to the "selection" and the * key should zoom to the page
Notes:
- the "zoom" button is enabled in a toolbar, and it changes to the appropriate "icon" when I hit the / and * keys, but nothing happens to the view
- I have tried this with different keyboards.
- I have tried this on openoffice on a mac, with similar results
Could this be a bug, or is it something i'm missing?

Also the toolbar icons are not working as expected.
When I'm pressing zoom-in or zoom-out the position of the worksheet is shifting to another coordinate.
Zooming in to a specific point is not possible, so I have to zoom-in first and then reposition the worksheet next.
Zooming out also ends up with an extra repositioning of the worksheet.
DM is 3.1.1.703, OS is windows 7.
Any feedback if this is reproduceable on other installations.

The application auto-saves your input when you close the document. If you left the document, as you state, the notes/comments should have been saved and should have been visible the next time you opened the document with the Mobile Reader (note that if you are opening the document with another app such as Apple's built in PDF Viewer, things like notes/comments may not be visible). Also note that if you are doing an Open In... from another app (like Dropbox), the version of the document in Dropbox does not update; only the version of the document in the Mobile Reader is updated.

Alt shortcut in Reader XI not working in Explorer

When opening a pdf in Explorer with Adobe Reader XI installed you can't use the "Alt" shorcuts.
To activate and use menus you can use single key shortcut but eg. forward (AltRight arrow) and back (AltLeft arrow) can't be activated.
We have tried to go back to REader X and this is working.
It is tested on several win 7 versions and a couple of win 8.
I need to activate the Explorer menus with the old Alt+"key" shortcut.

Both my Win 7 machines (x86 and x64) have IE 10 which was installed through Windows Update. If you're running SP1 Win 7 IE 10 is the latest and it IS officially supported, or they wouldn't install it through Windows Update.
BTW Alt+ Left and Alt+Right are navigation shortcuts to change pages IN THE BROWSER (example: you're three pages into a site, it will go back to the previous page or forward if you've already gone back).
Since PDF's open in a single page with the reader plugin, there IS NO previous or next page in the browser to use the shortcuts to navigate to, hence the standard shortcuts will not work.

Is the problem on the Bookmarks menu, on the Bookmarks drop-down list (from one of your toolbars), in the Bookmarks sidebar, or in the Library dialog used to organize bookmarks?
Do Home and End (without the Ctrl key) work any better/differently?

Is there any keyboard shortcut for toggling between Activity table and activity detail windows. It if frustrating to use mouse while tweaking relationships of activities.

Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts for this. Prior to the Oracle acquisition, Primavera had it as a goal for R7 to allow the operator to keep their hands on the keyboard most of the time, but this feature didn't make it into the final code. I feel your pain!

Adobe Reader 11.0.03 and Flash Player 11.8.800.94 Not Working on Windows 8

On a computer running Windows 8 Enterprise, Adobe Reader 11.0.03, and Flash Player 11.8.800.94, I am unable to open a flash-enabled PDF. Reader gives me the error "To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install this version of Flash Player that supports Adobe Reader and Acrobat." Adobe's Flash verification page shows me that Flash Player is working, and I can open other basic PDFs in Reader. I have another machine with an identical setup, except that it has Acrobat 11.0.03 instead of Reader, and the PDF opens just fine on that machine. Why won't Reader open the Flash-enabled PDF?

but its nothing there, no music, no apps nothing. i had upgraded to iitunes 11 and went back to 10.7 that is when i lost them. apparenty i havent lost contacts, photos.
but i have backed them up previously. i was using ibackupbot and i can see them all there, but i cant install them back to my phone nor to itunes.
