Zoom to 100% in actual position

A lot of times I work outside the artboard.
If I want to go to zoom 100% I press command + 1 but that moves the position of the view to the artboard.
Changin zoom with command + or - is a pita.
Views is not the best solution either because I'd have to create a new one everytime I work in different place.
Any idea?

I would pay that price.... but how can I assign a script/action to a keyboard shortcut?
- copy the 2 lines of code from here
- paste into a text editor doc or the ESTK and save as "zoom100perCent.jsx"
- place the file in your default scripts folder
- restart Illustrator
- open Actions palette
- create a New Action
- enter settings as shown
- in the flyout palette menu, click "Insert Menu Item..."
- go to "File" --> "Scripts" --> and select "zoom100perCent"
to run hit Shift+F2
that's how you can find out Jacob, you have to make the changes as per Kurt instructions

  • Unwanted ZOOM - view page at Actual Size problem

Hi - Has anyone had this issue and worked out how to avoid it.
I design a site at 100% zoom in Muse, or actual size. Publish the site, and it is zoomed in when viewed in the browser !
That is to say - in Chrome at ACTUAL SIZE it is 1 zoom larger than it was designed. The same using Safari, one tap of zoom bigger than it was designed.
This ruins the look and is no good to have to zoom out and other people wont know they need to.
I have experimented and stripped almost everything from the design apart from a bit of web safe arial text within a much bigger text box, made sure content is within the content area, still when previewed the page is larger than designed.
Any tips would be great - Thanks
_ I may now have got it to PREVIEW at the same same size as design, but still the same problem when viewing in browser.

What's the URL for your site?

  • Problem with Bridge CS6 and zooming to 100%

When I click on a file to zoom to 100% it zooms to 800%. I had the same problem in CS5 and fixed it by deleting the com.adobe.bridge.plist, but this does not work with CS6 and I don't even find the plist. I have a Mac with OS X 10.8.2. I found two plists, com.adobe.CSXS.3 and com.adobe.CSXS2Preferences but it didn't fix the problem deleting them.
I use the zoom function alot and would be very grateful if someone could help me. I do not like the preview workspace with the little 100% window, I prefer zooming to 100% by clicking on the file.

It does not work on a Mac, and they have only one set og +/-, at least my Macbook Pro has.
That is a bit strange, it always has worked for that way on both my Mac Pro and my MacBook.
I can use the scroll wheel on my mouse to enlarge the 100 % preview from loupe in preview window to 200, 400 and 800% but also the + and - keys from both my qwerty key board and the number pad of my extended keyboard for the same result.
Hitting tab for full screen preview I don't even have to click, both aforementioned + and - keys set to 100%, 200, 400 and 800% as well my scroll wheel.
All those methods work on both MacPro and MacBook.

  • Showing one data point on a line chart - X-axis label placed away from its actual position

    Hi Guys,
In line chart, i used CircleItemRenderer to show single data point. It shows correctly if it is single data point. But the x-axis label placed away from its actual position. Right now it displayed left most position where the line chart starts. I need to move that label straight of that datapoint where it plotted.  Please see the screen shot attached with this post.
In screen shot, x-axis label "Jan" displayed in left most position.
And how can we show the datatip for single datapoint. At present, we can't able to see the datatips also with single datapoint.
Can any body help me to fix those two issues.

I figured out a way to customize a single datapoint in a line series.  The solution is at this link:

  • Problems when zooming to 100%

I've been playing with the cs6 beta for a few days (mostly ACR) and today I started working on photoshop proper to retouch an image I took, when I zoom to 100% all I get is artifacts and repeating patterns like its not displaying the image correctly. If I zoom in even further it justs zooms on the pattern it had. If I zoom out to 50% I see my image as if nothing has happened

mmm haven't had any problems with my vid card until this last driver update, still I'm in xp and my comp is a little old. Anyways I was asking if anyone else has the same problem and if there was another solution than to just update my vid card drivers...

  • Canvas/Viewer Zooming past 100% question?

When I zoom the Canvas or Viewer past 100%, I think I should start to see actual pixels. By the time I get to 800%, I should be able to see the actual pixels, albeit very small. When I do this with Apple Intermediate or Apple ProRes MOV's, at like 800% I see what looks like VERY smoothed pixels. Is my output going to look like that? When I convert my input with a 3rd party codec such as CineformHD at the same resolution (I'm using 1920x1080 with all codecs), and when I zoom in, I start to see the pixel structure as I'm used to in Photoshop. I like it much better when I see the pixel structure.
Is FCP actually smoothing the view with the Apple codecs because it thinks it looks better with a smoother view? (Though when I make a change in the video parameters, for a brief second, you actually see the pixels then it switches back to the smooth view.)
I guess the question is, is that what its doing--smoothing? And the second is, can I make it so that the apparent "smoothing" doesn't happen? Thanks.

Final Cut Pro's Canvas always shows a low-res proxy to conserve resources for real time playback.
To truly assess your video quality, you need a calibrated external monitor.

  • Height:100% is actually more than 100% of screen window??

    Hello,
Here is a link to the page in question:
    www.aiwebsites.net/products
I am trying to make the div with all the product descriptions
size to height:100% of the users screen. Right now I have the body
height set to 88% so that the main content will fit most screens
pretty nicely, but it's not perfect by any means. If I size
body:100% the scroll_content div gets too large. I would love to
have the scroll_content div end at the bottom of the screen for
each screen size and resolution. I know the reason for this glitch
is some conflict with my padding or margin in my rather large
stylesheet, but I just can't figure it out. Any help would be MUCH
appreciated! Let me know if you can't see my css/html and I'll be
glad to post it (I guess I'm assuming you all have the web
    developer extension for Firefox).

    >I hear what you all are saying, but I have already
decided this is the best way
    >to display my content on this particular page. There are
    real reasons for this:
    There's hardly a reason to intentionally decrease a site's
    usability.
I've already seen sites with 3 (three!) adjacent vertical
    scrollbars
caused by such scrolling boxes. Can you imagine how stupid
    this looked
and how bad it was to use?
Your site also causes two vertical and one horizontal bar
    here. Two of
    them are totally unnecessary.
    > 1) the main reason being if people scroll down away from
    the "Estimate Widget"

    not serving its purpose.
    >People won't see it updating and might click the "Add"
    button more than once,
    >or just might forget it's up there all together.
There are other ways to keep such elements in place, even if
    the entire
rest of the page is scrollable in a normal way. This is one
    of the rare
situations where absolute positioning might be a helpful
    option.
    > 2) eventually I will have all many product descriptions

Very long pages should be split, which is much better than a
    tiny little
    hard-to-grab scrollbar slider.
    >making people "far" from all the important navigation
    links. Meaning there will
    >be no quick way to navigate all the products. [...]
People are used to that. The [pos1] key exists and some sites
    even use
links to jump back to the top/TOC. You're seeing a problem
    which isn't
    one really.
    > Basically, I need help on how to size the div properly,
    can anyone actually
    >help?
That's the main problem with your approach, simply because it
    can't be
done properly! It will always be either too small or too big.
Another little thing: You don't have a background color
    defined for the
page body. Not every browser uses white by default.

  • IMAQ setoffset not updating actual position of masked areas

I noticed that IMAQ SetOffset works well for the masking operation (e.g. translationally aligning a mask to an image where the areas to be masked may be some pixels out of place due to incomplete positioning during image aquisition), however the position of the areas that are not masked (pixels >0) are not moved at all, as can be observed in the attached example.
The bounding rectangles of the non-masked areas have to be transformed in addition to performing IMAQ SetOffset otherwise using the particle information of the image mask might not yield the expected results as they d not seem to be altered according to the offset.
Is this behaviour by design or is it unintended?
    Attachments:
    testmask.png ‏3 KB
    NoBRupdate_IMAQ_SetOffset.vi ‏51 KB

    Hi jSturm,
to clarify the reason for my initial post here:
It's not so much not being able to cope with the function. I just noticed the fact, that the mask doesn't seem to be actually offsetted but that there is rather additional information stored with the image that says, when using the image, to offset the pixel information according to the given offset (incidently with respect to a coordinate system, not in relation to another image - as there is no other image information that can be passed into the IMAQ SetOffset function). That might be a reasonable explanation for the offset working perfectly as expected while using the image as a mask but the particle information of the offsetted image only yielding the original position values, as if the image had never been offsetted.
To me, this seems a bit of a twofold behaviour which is not directly comprehensible. Therefore I wanted to ask whether there is a particular reason for having the function behave as it does. Of course there may be well-reasoned wisdom behind it. So I thought someone could enlighten me.

  • Photoshop CS6 Mac - Where is 100% or Actual Size Shortcut?

Just installed CS6, and my favourite Photoshop shortcut has disappeared! Cntrl+Alt+0 used to give me a preview in actual pixel size (now apparently called 100% in the View menu), but the only indication of a shortcut given in the menu is "n", which does not do anything. My searches on forums etc indicate that this should be Cntrl+1 or the old Cntrl+Alt+0, but this is clearly not working. Any ideas?

Aha, that's great, thank you. No, it was not working for some reason - it looks like there was just no shortcut assigned. I should have looked a bit harder for the Keyboard Shortcuts menu, really, but I am very grateful for your help!
    Cheers, Andrew

  • Published Concept page displays very small = Zoom is 100%

I can't seem to make the concept page display in full size in my browser - the only tips I can see advice on adjusting the zoom, which has been tested and does not resolve.
It's only the concept page in my published player output is far too small - the menu structure displays fine. We can also open Try It mode (etc) and that works fine. It's just the concept displaying very small where it should take the whole screen.
    - Zoom is at 100% (and changing up or down does not help).
    - 96 DPI in screen settings.
    We are using IE 7.
Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve? Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

    Hello,
The only reasons I can think of would be the ones you've already checked: zoom percentage and DPI. I would suggest logging a support ticket in My Oracle Support if you have not already done so. Additional information can be found in the announcement at the top of this forum: https://forums.oracle.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=1175

  • Organizer 12 - how to: zoom over 100%, use the Trackpad, compare images?

    English Version below.
Hallo zusammen.
    English Version
Hi there. I switched from Apple Aperture to PSE 12. Now I have my 11500 photos in the Organizer and a few teething problems.
I have specified in the preferences that you can resize photos to over 100%. This does not work. Photos are always fitted only in the window when the zoom lever is all the way to the right.
Only in the full-screen view you can scale over 100%. However, this also works if I have not set the setting in the preferences.
How do I compare multiple images? The manual describes to select from the View menu -> Compare images. This menu item does not exist for me. (German Version)
Also by pressing F12, nothing happens. Can I re-assign the button functions somewhere?
Last but not least: How can I use the zoom & pinch from the Magic Trackpad? I 'm missing that very much. Aperture was very user friendly with that.

You cannot zoom in on an more that fitting the screen space will looking at images in the Organizer's image well. This size may be much smaller than 100%.
There is no preference to "resize photos to over 100%".
There is also not a Compare option in the View menu.
To do either of these options (from the Organizer) you have to be in the Full Screen mode. From here, you can use the mouse wheel (or trackpad) to zoom up to 1600%. You can also compare images by selecting the Side-by-Side or Top/Bottom display from the "View" Options button on the Full Screen options bar.
To use the F-keys, you have to add the Command key, so Command+F12 will open the Full Screen Mode in side-by-side compare view.
If you purchased Photoshop Elements as a replacement for Aperture, there are a lot of differences that you will have to adjust to. Photoshop Elements and Aperture are hardly complementary applications. If you were looking for something like Aperture, you should try Lightroom instead.

Hello Barbara and thank you for your answer.
I've ment side by side view.   And it works by pressing F12 + cmd. Thanks.
Zoom & Pinch only works in the Editor, but not very well or smooth. And I couldn't tell you how often the Editior rotate my images unwanted ...
In the preferences of the Organizer, there is no point for a scroll wheel. And I'm really not able to zoom in the organizer over the "fitts in screen" size.
And I've found some more problems Sometime I'd like to export my images without any Exif/Metadata Information and resized. I haven't found any point do do so.
At the Moment, I'm thinking about switching back to Aperture, where I came from - I've tried to use PSE 'cause of Adobes Raw Converter, which is much much better with Olympus RAW Files than Apertures.

  • BUG!!! Captured footage is not 100% the actual device after importing.

This has happened with version 8 and 9. Some of the footage did not get imported from the camera, When comparing the recorded video at the camera connected to a TV with the imported one using iMovie 8 or 9 some slight differences are detected, Murphy's law is always present and the slight difference happens to be the most important part of the footage. I have tried different importing conditions but I get the same result every time. This error does not occur when using iMovie 6 HD which imports the whole footage as recorded by the camera. iMovie 6 HD won't delete unwanted footage from the project making it bigger all the time, that's one of the advantages the new iMovie 8 and 9 has. It becomes very annoying working with two different softwares in order to get the complete footage and then deleting the parts with the other, not to mention the loss of quality form converting from one to the other. I haven't seen any discussions about this matter, I wonder... how can I report this to Apple in order for them to check what seems to be a bug!!!. Anyone ????, Appreciate any suggestions...

Let's talk about time reversing a layer first. If you have a clip that's 30 seconds long and you have trimmed that clip to 4 seconds and you time reverse the layer it's going to take about 4 times as long to render or ram preview as it would when rendered normally. This is because Time Remapping is calculating the length of the clip and the current frame every time it renders a new frame. This takes a long time. If you applied Time Remapping the same clip and then used the keyframe assistant to time reverse the keyframes then these time waisting recalculations go away and every frame is defined by the keyframe data. Renders will be about the same speed as rendering the clip without any effects or transformations. I can't remember when I last used Time Reverse Layer. It's been working like this for as long as I can remember. Maybe it's time for a feature request or a bug report to get someone on the AE team to re-do the math behind the effect.
Another thing that could be slowing down your render is the comp size. You are rendering a huge movie at a completely non standard size. I'd render something like that to an image sequence. Second, you said that you have a grid of 100 pre comps. How big are these? If you've scaled 100 pre-comps that are full HD down to fill your comp then you are asking AE to process 100 HD layers per frame and make those interpretations. The render is going to take some time. If you throw scaling way down, motion, and any other effects on top time reversing a layer you are in for some seriously long render times.

  • Actual positive feedback

The ability to read the content of a new post in the email is wonderful, it saves enormous amount of time . It means that I don't have to (very sloowly) navigate to the forum/post to see what the reply is - just read the email, and if it doesn't need a response: trash it.
However, the lack of blue dots is serious, and I hope that will be remedied soon.

The cursor is still in the topic field, but most other things seem to be normal - the post message button is back, but there is still no preview button. I think location has been restored too. The pages seem to load fast than yesterday, I was out of town overnight, so today things seem faster.
