  • Why can't I scale my photos for wallpaper?

When I select a photo for wallpaper I can't scale it.

I'd imagine you're trying to zoom out on a photo. I think there's a problem with scaling if the dimensions of the photo are not fit to wallpaper size.
The workaround is in the photo app itself, select the photo you wish to use. Resize it to what you want the wallpaper to look like. Take a screenshot (press the home button and sleep button at the same time).
Set the screenshot as wallpaper. That should fit nicely.

  • Is Apple working on a fix for editing photos for wallpaper, call contacts with photo, etc? The iPhone used to be so intuitive for everything but that tanked with the ios7 upgrade

iPhone 5 was so intuitive before the update. Editing photos has changed for the worst-any word of a fix for editing photos for wallpaper? Not a work around, a fix. If I wanted this kind of photo editing I'd still be using my droid x.
Anyway to go back to ios6?

  • Problems sizing photos for wallpaper

Since the IOS software updates I have been unable to resize photos for wallpaper & lock screen, they just don't remain the size or position I set.

    You can try this:

If that doesn't fix things, you may want to try my workaround:

  • Getting feedback when choosing FX for guitar.

I'm getting feedback when choosing FX for guitar. I get this feedback through my headphones and my speakers. Both are hooked up to my audio interface (Alesis Multimix 8 USB). My electric guitar is connected to Input 1 on the Alesis. How can i get rid of this feedback?

You have the input of the alesis bussed to the output this is what a mixer does, this is good for zero latency monitoring. If you don't want this just turn off the input to main or countrol room whatever you you using. To monitor from garageband you just need firewire to countrol room or main.

  • Why Can't I Access Old Photos for Wallpaper Anymore?

Because of the new switch in photo organization on ios8 I can't access photos that are on my phone to set wallpapers. The photos exist, just not in any photo album as only "Recently Added" appear. When I go into the Photos app I can access them via Photos (and all the dumb "collections" and "moments" subgroups) instead of Albums, but when setting Wallpaper via the Settings menu, you're only given options to choose photos on your phone that are in the newly created albums instead of having access to all that exist. This is beyond stupid. I'm not looking for community help as much as saying how stupid this is and that NOBODY had a problem with the good old Camera Roll. What stupid regressive designing.

  • Having trouble sizing a photo for wallpaper in iOS 7

When I try to move and scale a photo for my home screen wallpaper on my iPad3, using iOS 7, it immediately reverts to it's original size, which is larger than the screen. Is this a bug in iOS 7 or am I doing something wrong?

I was able to move and scale the wallpaper on my iPad 4 by turning off the parallax motion....
Go to Settings > General > Assessibility > Reduce Motion "set to OFF"
Next, in Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness > Choose Wallpaper (pick the wallpaper) - you should now be able to "Move and Scale" the photo that you've chosen for your wallpaper.
After you've SET the wallpaper, you can go back to Parallax motion by turning Reduce Motion to "ON" (see step 1)

  • Unable to move and scale photos for wallpaper on IPad mini after iOS 7 update.

After update to iOS7 on my IPad mini, I am able to select my personal photos for the wallpaper, but I cannot move and scale them to fit.  The option is there but unresponsive.  I already had to remove the protective case to access the new control panel via up swipe which must begin below the screen next to the "home" button to initiate.  Now I can no longer personalize the wall paper with my own photos.  It's been a frustrating experience without any real perceptible improvements.

What a nightmare! Had I known what was in store for me, I would never have updated my iPAD Mini to iOS7.
The calendar with it's ultra-thin Helvetica is near impossible to see. To add insult to injury, not being able
to move and size a wallpaper photo is just totally unacceptable. So annoying when software is thrown out
there for the general public when it's obviously not ready. I tried the solution:
Go to Settings > General > Assessibility > Reduce Motion "set to OFF"
Next, in Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness > Choose Wallpaper (pick the wallpaper) - you should now be able to "Move and Scale" the photo that you've chosen for your wallpaper.
After you've SET the wallpaper, you can go back to Parallax motion by turning Reduce Motion to "ON" (see step 1)
And it just DOES NOT WORK. Plain and simple. I am so tired of Apple products that have bugs that we are all expected to work through and work out while paying anywhere from $500 to $2000 for a product. And of course you can't get online support in a quick, efficient manner. My big old $600 bite out the Apple is tasting mighty sour at the moment.

  • What is the ideal configuration when scanning photos for iMovie?

When scanning photos to use in iMovie, what is the best dpi resolution? 72 dpi, 100 dpi, 150 dpi, 300 dpi?
What is the best print size? Scan it at 8 inches, 10 inches, 12 inches?
When saving to jpg, what quality is best to save at? 8, 10, 12?
    Any help would be appreciated!

DPI (dots per inch) are only used when printing and iMovie will only look at the file dimensions.
But scanning images takes a lot of time and you may want to use the same images in other software so you should make the settings appropriate for future printing.
Scan (always in "landscape mode") using settings appropriate for printing (300 dpi) and sized for the largest prints you may want to make. TIFF is much less compressed than JPEG. Bring these files in iPhoto and export them out as JPEG sized at 640X480 for use in iMovie.

  • HT5595 Can't scale photos for wallpaper in iOS 7, even with reduce movement turned on in accessibility options. Any fixes?

Extremely frustrated with new iOS 7 wallpaper settings, cannot scale photos down to fit screen. So basic of a need! I turned on reduce screen motion on accessibility as instructed but still doesn't work!

I was able to move and scale my wallpaper by turning off the parallax motion.

  • Trying to size my photo for wallpaper on iPad Retina

I am trying to use one of my photos, sized 2048 X 1536, for use as wallpaper. I have no problem selecting the desired photo. When I do that, the selected photo is shown enlarged, too big to fit the whole photo onto the screen. At the bottom of the selected photo it says "move and scale" but when I try to size the photo I get no response. I can pinch or spread the photo onscreen, but when I release it, it goes back to being too large.
In other words, how do I make the "move and scale" function work as intended? What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks!

You want to print two photos on an A4 page, right?
1 - select the two photos and click on Print.
2 - set Page size to A4 borderless
3 - set Print size to Custom
    4 - enter a width of A4's width less .25" and length to A4/2 less .25".
That should give you 2 photos per page with a minimal white border. If you try to set the width to exactly the width of the A4 page and exactly half the length it will revert to 1 photo per page. You can experiment with the .25" dimension a bit and might be able to get it a bit larger.

  • Background not applied when choosing theme for AIR app

    Hi,
I'm using the latest version of FB4 (4.0.1) and when I choose a theme to apply to my AIR app (using the Flex Theme section in the project properties) it mostly works except for the background color which is always white unless I set it explicitly on the WindowedApplication.
This is obviously a pain because if I decide to change themes I need to work out what colour to set as the background.
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong or missing something.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Cheers,
    Chris

Mac apps are different from iPad apps.  I don't know if you realize that.
The way to search for iPad apps on your Mac would be to use iTunes.  Hopefully you have synched at least one of the iPads using iTunes.  If so, iTunes houses the apps, and you could search for them there.
