  • Photo viewer not displaying photos properly

when i go to photos viewer n open any pic,d pic open wit a blur image n a ring on top of it keeps rotating keepin d pic in blur state. When zoom the pic shows properly but d ring still keep rotating. However not able to view d pics in small size. Its just keep it blur state.

Haven't figured it out yet, but will post if I find a solution.
The problem is, I'm trying to find a solution to a whole host of other problems on my N97, e.g. The problems I'm having with GPS (Maps 2 and 3 are both currently unusable), the problems I'm having getting my widgets, email etc to detect which connection I need using etc, the problems I'm having with reception, the problems I'm having with my ringtone etc. So this photo viewer problem is just another issue to add to the list.
As for the Facebook App, if I take a picture using the camera link within the application, it won't let me upload anyway, so I've stopped using it. I just use the standard Facebook Mobile site as the Nokia Facebook App is so slow, it's borders on useless.

  • DPI and image quality in programs like Windows Photo Viewer

I'll keep this as short as possible.  About 6 years ago I bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-F28 digital camera (not DSLR).  It claims 10 MP.  After that my daughter bought a Canon Rebel (don;t know the model) which has 12 MP.  I would compare her pics with mine by looking at them in Windows Photo Viewer.  Hers always looked a lot fuzzier than mine.  Especially true if you zoomed in.   And I gave her a hard time, saying she had bought a knock off.
I just purcahsed a Rebel T5i with the usual kit  18/55 lens.  I took a picture with both the new and the old camera.  Guess what?  Given the same subject with the same lighting, the Panasonic still produces much clearer pictures in Windows Photo Viewer than the Canon.  The only difference I see is that the Canon states the DPI as 72 and the Panasonic as 180.  OF course, the Canon image has a lot more pixels.
I know that DPI matters only when a picture is printed.  But is it possible that the DPI property in the image file is telling Windows Photo Viewer how to present the image?  I hope so.  Otherwise I lucked out with my Panasonic and got the best camera in the world, or a Canon is not so great after all.
Do I need to apologize to my daughter? See attached images.
These images are opened in MS Paint and cropped to bring out the eye and hair detail.
    Panasonic Image
    Canon Image

You comparison method is seriously flawed. For 1 image to be at 72 DPI (a software supplied setting) & the other to be at 180 DPI it means that one image has been enlarged (180 divided by 72) 2.5 times more than the other to view it on screen. Zoom in on the good image until it's 2.5 times larger & see how it looks.
Next thing you need to know is that camera technique becomes more important as pixel count increases. an 18 Mpixel image will have an 80% increase in softness over the 10 Mpixel camera from identical camera shake. To make any accurate form of comparison you will need to eleminate the possibility of introducing camera shake into the test. You will also need very similar lighting & the subject must also be stationary for all test shots. (IE that eye (or the person it's attached to) may have moved during one shot but not the othern

  • Photo viewing problem.

Has anyone noticed a problem with the photo viewer in iOS 7 where as you swipe through the images it keeps cropping them so you have to zoom in and out to see all of the picture. Are there any plans to fix this as it is very annoying and it worked fine before the update.

All  of my photos are letterboxed and are approximately 25% smaller.  Before iOS7 update, they filled the entire screen.  Videos don't seem to be affected.  I don't know why more people aren't up in arms about this.  I called Apple about this and the person I talked to was totally baffled as if he never heard anything about it since the update.  I was passed on to a supervisor who knew nothing either until she did some research.  Bottom line is that's just he way it is now.  Unbelievable!

  • Digital photo viewer recommendations

I'm looking for a digital photo viewer to take on trips for reviewing a photo session and/or showing off photos to friends and family. I prefer it to have a large, bright, finely detailed screen, and SD support would be required. Zooming in to see photo detail and relatively fast transfers are also important. Raw support (Nikon D80) is also a plus. Music, Internet connection, very large hard drive, or other non-photo functions are purely secondary and would not be missed.
I'd go for the Epson P-3000 if it weren't a relatively bulky 1 lb. I can get a refurb for $375. I've also considered the Apple iPod Touch 8 GB, but I'd rather swap the non-photo features for, say, a 16-30 GB hard drive for the 8 GB price.
    Thoughts? Alternatives?
    Thanks!
    Neil

i large, bright, finely detailed screen
    for me means a laptop;
i for reviewing a photo session
for me again means a laptop, but the huge LCDs on the new D300/D700/D3 Nikons also excel at that, much improved over my D2x and your D80. For
i showing off photos to friends and family
an iPhone or an iPod work very well if you want pocketable. Personally I use a Macbook Pro with external drive as well as a 2G iPhone.
Note that memory cards are cheap enough now to be utilized for field storage of images.
Apple alleges a major new product intro by early fall, so you may want to wait and see what it is.

  • Pan and Zoom Extending Photo Duration in Premiere Elements 11

I am new to using PE11, but have been using older versions of PE for many years. In years past, after setting up my photos with voiceover and getting the transitions in, I have used keyframes to create pan and zoom effects. In 11 though, this function no longer appears to work so I am trying to use the Pan and Zoom tool. While easy to use, it is messing with the length of my photos. I already have the photos timed just right with my voiceover, so I need the length of time they are shown to stay the same. I can't figure out how to do this in the pan and zoom tool and everything I find online with this issue is with older versions of PE so the advice given isn't helping. If I'm able to use keyframes, that would be great too - but I'm not seeing how to add them under the Applied Effects tool.
If anyone is able to help me, I would GREATLY appreciate it. I'm on a very tight deadline for work and was not expecting PE11 to be so different from previous versions!

With Premiere Elements 11 and 12, the photo that is panned and zoomed with its Pan and Zoom Tool is characterized by increased duration. It is what it is.
If you want to pan and zoom a photo using keyframing of the Motion properties of Scale (for Zoom) and Position (for Pan), then you would need to use Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/ Motion Panel expanded and its Scale and Position properties there in association with Toggle Animation icon.
The shorter version of the Motion Panel Expanded looks like
To get the view where you can see the keyframes, click on the stop watch icon to the far right of the line with title Applied Effects.
    Then you will see
Are you now on more familiar ground to move forward with your keyframing of the Scale and Postion properties for your
    photo pans and zooms?
Please review and let me know if you are OK with the details.
Also, my blog post on Pan and Zoom Tool might be of interest.

  • Need lightweight photo viewer

i need a good photo viewer that will launch in a second when executing a .jpg image
I would like just a couple small features.  If i open that image inside a directory, i want to be able to use the arrows on the keyboard to navigate through the images, and need a zoom feature.  other than that, i dont want albums, photo editing, or anything else bulky.  i can edit my photos with photoshop cs5.  i just need a viewer for arch.
    any suggestions?

thanks, the gpicviewer works good, its nice and lightweight.  the only problem im having with it so far, is i cant scroll through the images, once i open one, using the cursor keys, nor the mouse on the arrows in the image viewers GUI.  what can i do about this?  i would like to be able to open an album directory, and open the first image, then scroll through the rest.
as far as "this" at a first glance i thought you were referring to the gpicviewer, then i realized its a link to another post, my bad. is it feh? ill check that one too. thanks!

Hi. I just upgraded to Aperture 3.5.1 and I am unable to zoom pictures [go to the Viewer] by double-clicking [an Image in the Browser] ... is this normal? Thank you for your answers.
    Just translating (with Google's help).
No, it's not.  Someone may jump in with a suggestion.  At the least, close Aperture, reboot, and run Software Update.

  • All Photos view in full screen can't happen?

Just want to be sure I'm not missing something.  When I'm using iPhoto in full screen mode, I only have Events, Faces, Places, Albums, Projects and NO PHOTOS view.  Right?

Wrong.  This is what I get in the Photos mode with Event Titles shown:
Click on a photo and it goes full screen.
This is what it looks like without Event Titles shown:

  • Can't open a link in a web page, goes immediately to down load and then when opened it shows downloaded to windows photo viewer, which won't open

I open a web page, in the web page there is a link to open another link. I click on this link and the doc is 'downloaded' automatically , I click on the 'green arrow' download button at top of screen, the page opens and says 'windows photo viewer can't open the picture because photo viewer doesn't support this file format or you don't have the latest update to photo viewer'!! I just want to open the link. Grateful for advice.

Where is that happening? Please provide the URL.

  • No more key photos in "Photos" view?

After upgrading, I can no longer see key photos in "Photos" view. Is this a setting that I can change, or did iPhoto '11 drop this feature?

It appears that that is a change in '11

  • In new iOS 8 photos app, I am missing photos in photo view that are in album view

All my photos in the iPhoto app on my iMac appear correctly in the album view in the new Photos app on my iPhone 6.  However, not all the photos appear in the photos view.  To try and get the counts to match, in iTunes, I synced my iPhone after unchecking the syncing of photos.  I checked the Photos app on my iPhone and there were no photos.  Then I checked to sync all photos in iTunes and synced my iPhone again.  Every photo on my iMac was in the album view, but there were still missing photos in the photo view.
Anyone have this problem and a solution?

Thanks for your response.  Turns out the iPhotos database was corrupted.  I rebuilt it and now the counts match.
I do have summarize photos turned off as you suggested.
But now I have a new problem.  I have smart albums in iPhoto on my iMac that correspond to decades.  These albums and the photos they contain appear perfectly in the album view on my iPhone 6.  However, a few photos in the photos view appear with the wrong date.  So I'm working on resolving this.

  • How to zoom out and view an entire track in the window

There's got to be a way to zoom out so an entire track can viewed at once so that segments of the track can be shifted around. I have a track that is about 50 minutes long with several segments in it. I want to shift the segments around. Right now I can only view about a minute of the track at a time and have to click on the segment then move the cursor either left or right and wait for Garageband to scroll to the time where I want to put it. Isn't there a way to just zoom out and view the entire track and then shift segments around without all the scrolling? Does that make sense?

Hm ... mine zooms out to more than an hour?
    interesting!
I opened GB4 and it maxed out at 4 minutes. then i opened GB6 and it maxed out at 15 minutes. then i opened another project in GB 6 and it maxed out at 35 minutes.
so there must be something else going on here, perhaps like how time sigs affected length in the older versions?

  • Officejet pro 8000 wireless will not print from windows photo viewer. all other diagnostics ok.

OS is Windows 7 Home Premium x 64. All functions and printing are ok with this unit, excepting for printing through Windows Photo Viewer. Have latest software, drivers, etc., and all HP software and hardware diagnostic tools check out ok.
Checked Windows event log, and get Event 350, PrintService - Document  failed to print and was deleted because of corruption in the spooled file. The associated driver is: . Try printing the document again.
There is no additional info on this event listed in the Microsoft TechNet Events and Errors Message Reporting Center
When this happens, all of the lights on the printer flash very rapidly.
To correct, I clear the queue through Explorer, Troubleshoot, and unplug printer to reset.
    Any suggestions appreciated.
    Thanks

FYI, I got this to work by treating my printer as a wired printer, even though it allegedly has wireless functionality. Luckily, my ohter devices can print to it wirelessly. At least I don't need to replace my printer just yet...
