ZRS Cool Solutions Report

We have uploaded a Cool Solutions report entitled 'Licensed Products Allocation' to our ZRS, and I am getting an error message ('Error executing SQL statement for : report3
ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found where a numeric was expected'). We have an Oracle DB back end and are running ZRS 5.
Can someone help me to get it to work please?
It was uploaded by vsuneetha on 17th Sept 2014.
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • In need of an effective cooling solution

I'm in search of a highly effective cooling solution for a MacBook Air.
I have an 11" Air with an i7 processor which I use with a Thunderbolt display. I use this setup all day long as a primary computer, and it is hot almost all the time. I don't generally have a problem when I'm using the Air stand-alone, but as soon as I plug in the Thunderbolt, it heats up a lot. Right now the CPU temperature is around 70 degrees C, even though CPU activity is under 5%.
I'm using a bamboo cooling stand I got from MacAlly (ECOFANPRO) which lowers the temperature only a very small amount, not enough to keep the fan from going full blast.
I want something that will actually cool the computer down to where the internal fan doesn't have to run like this all day.
I've heard that cooling pads are effective for a few hours but I need something that works all day. I don't care what it costs.
I see tons and tons of cooling stands out there that are billed as "stylish" or "quiet" but I can't find a single example of either a manufacturer or a reviewer describing how effective their product is in terms of reducing heat. So it seems like all I can do here is guess.

    Use a script such as:
    tell application "Finder"
repeat with this_file in (get files of window 1)
    make new folder at window 1 with properties {name:items 1 thru -5 of (get name of this_file) as string}
    move this_file to the result
    end repeat
    end tell
when the 74 movies and no other files are in the frontmost Finder window. If the files aren't showing their extension, replace -5 with -1.

  • Anyone use Aftermarket Cooling Solutions on 270x or 280x?

Anyone who uses an aftermarket cooler on a 270x or 280x MSI Gaming gpu please chime in.
What make and model cooler are you using? What is the model and revision of your gpu? I am seeking coolers for both my 270x's and 280x's as the stock fans are of poor quality and have a high failure rate. 3 out of 4 of my cards have fan issues.
This is not such a simple thing to just google of course.
Those of us who know anything about aftermarket cooling know that not every GPU is made the same. Even different revisions of the same model can be drastically different when it comes to compatibility for aftermarket cooling solutions. A simple change on the gpu could mean one revision works and the next does not. I've run into this before with another brands gpu and aftermarket cooling.
Asking MSI Tech Support to recommend aftermarket cooling is not going to get any results as they will not assist a user in a process that may void warranty. Nor does MSI test their cards with other manufacturers cooling solutions.
That being said I am asking users what solutions they may have found already.
I have also contacted several aftermarket cooling manufacturers and they all say the same thing. Basically: "We can't confirm or deny compatibility as we cannot test every make/model/revision".
So MSI fans and devoted users. What have you been using?
    Thanks much!

The Arctic Mono Plus officially supports R9 270X and should also fit the MSI cards. It's plenty cooling for those cards. Alternatively Accelero Twin Turbo II could be used.
280X would work fine with Accelero Xtreme III or Alpenfoehn Peter

  • Quiet cooling solutions on MSI's new RADEON X and GeForce 6 series VGA cards? Which is quietest?

    Hi.
I am, like many people are at the moment I'd imagine, trying to find the ideal graphics solution for running Doom 3. Say what you will about it, but I've played it, and I for one want to get my hands on it in a bad way.
The problem is that my PC doubles as a crude workstation for digital recording, and my condensor mics tend to pick up even very faint sounds. My current system configuration is: P4 C 3.2GHz, ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe mobo, 1GB DDR400 in dual channel, WD 3.6GB Raptor SATA HDD for OS and apps, and two 120GB Maxtor drives in RAID 1 for audio data storage, and the weak link as I call it, my gaming-inept Matrox Millenium 64MB. (Great for work...terrible for games, as expected). All this is running in the Antec Sonata case, and boy is it ever silent. I have to turn off my supposedly silent air filtration system across the room just to hear the PSU fan lol. It's been very good to me.
Doom 3 is the only game I intend to run on this system, simply because, call me crazy, but I am an old school Doom level editing addict, and I actualy like the tight narrow repetitive cooridor style gameplay it lets me enjoy. Furthermore, using editors feels alot like tinkering with my audio software, a feeling I very much savor.
I was going to go for a HIS Excalibur X800 IceQ II because they are supposedly extremely quiet, but darned if I can find one for sale anywhere on the planet. Lol.
So, I have decided to turn to MSI, who have never let me down with respect to near-silence in the past with their VGA cooling solutions.
    So my questions are:
    1) The NX6800 128MB (non-ultra, non-GT variety) is very quiet from what I hear, when the fan is set to the (default) lowest setting. Does the NX6800GT or Ultra feature the same cooling solution, and is it just as quiet, nearly as quiet, or noticeably louder than the plain variety?
    and
    2) I have heard in general that the new RADEON cards are much quieter than the GeForce 6 series cards. Does this hold true for MSI's X800 cards as well, and is the RX800 XT as quiet or quieter than the NX6800 or NX6800GT, etc. ?
Note that I care more about silence than performance. I would be perfectly happy running Doom 3 at 1024x768 at medium or even low settings, as long as I can keep the framerate smooth. I'm not very picky.
I would be truly grateful for anyone's assistance in this matter. Thanks very much in advance.

Thanks for the reply and the info.
Yes, they do run much quieter in 2D. But are there any decible readings anywhere on the net for the stock X800 PRO cooler (in 2d or otherwise)? I ask this because, let's face it, most reviewers tend to focus on the performance rather than the decible levels (as long as the noise level is tollerable to them, they usualy give scores without going into much detail about how loud or silent something is), and being quieter than the competing products doesn't neccesarily mean it's truly quiet.
Basicaly, by quiet, I mean so quiet that it would be hard to hear it unless I get closer than two feet to the tower, and even then, rather faint or even inaudible unless I actualy put my ear up to the tower. My mics are that sensitive. Is the X800 Pro that quiet with the stock reference cooler? I'm thinking it probably isn't, but I could be wrong. The Toxic Pro of course is more than quiet enough, but I have some concerns there.
I would prefer the X800 XT or, at the very least, the plain 6800 128MB, as they both (even the 128MB normal 6800) score higher consistently in Doom 3 benchmarks than the normal X800 Pro (not overclocked). While I'd prefer a 256MB card over a 128MB one, and Sapphire using the VGA Silencer on their Toxic Pro is a nice touch, that card overclocks the memory freq, which is a no-no with Doom 3 from what I've heard. Doom 3 doesn't like overclocked cards, as John carmack said, and that seems to be true given that I've heard lots of people complaining of artifacts with even moderately overclocked cards, be it the memory or core frequency. I could, of course, just not use the "A.P.E." functionality, and run it at stock X800 Pro speed, and with the silence on the Toxic Pro it would be great...but then why not just get the higher performing 128MB 6800 for roughly the same price or less?
    See my dilema? Lol.
Idealy, I'm hoping MSI's X800 XT or their GT or Ultra versions of the 6800 will have quiet cooling solutions. If they do, then it would save me alot of work making up my mind. No overclocking, guaranteed stability, total (or near total) silence, and guaranteed to handle Doom 3 (atleast fairly well... like I said, I'm not too picky), and I wouldn't feel short changed on performance either. As it stands now though, unless I can confirm whether or not they do, I'm going to have to settle for their standard (but extremely quiet) 6800 128MB.
Any further thoughts (anyone?) given the above considerations? Thanks again. I really appreciate it. Good idea on the Toxic Pro, just perhaps not ideal for my situation.

  • MSI FX 5900 TD128 and Cooling Solutions!

I was curious to know if anyone here had tried or has changed the stock fans on the MSI FX5900 TD128 with any other set of cooling solutions

  • BI Solution Report

    Hi Guys,
I need to publish a couple of BW report and probably some BO reports (Xcelsius) also. My question is where is the best place to publish them?. A menu in Portal or other option. Please suggest me options that can be good for our end users.
    Regards,
    Ivan.

    Hi Ivan,
that decision is really up to you.
first of all InfoView is not a portal solution - it is a web desktop for the BusinessObjects BI part - but you wouldn't be able to integrate the BEx reports.
You can use SAP portal or sharepoint - up to you.
you can build a custom web application as well.
it really depends on what user experience you are looking for.

  • Cooling Solutions?

Hi guys, I'm new here, and a new owner of a K7N2 Delta-ILSR.
I've just put my new PC together, though I'm still waiting for Windows to arrive. Of course, I've had the chance to check the BIOS, and set it up a little, and what I'm finding is that my temps are, I think running a little high.
Whilst running nothing but the BIOS (don't even have windows yet), the CPU starts off at around 34c but gradually increases to around 44/45c. Bios version is 7.3
    My set-up is as follows:
    Athlon XP 2500+
    2x Corsair 256 PC3200 DDR.
Thermaltake Volcano 11+ HSF (Set to thermal sensor)
Antec SX630II Case with one outlet fan at the back and one intake at the front.
I am planning to pick up another case fan for intake. And I can change the HSF setting to be on permanent max.
Anyone other ideas, or solutions. I'd rather not spend tons, but I am prepared to take some steps since I rate cooling as of significant importance.
    Thanks.

    Quote
What would be 'high' then? (idle and load)
    Your mileage may vary.
    Quote
    Buying a fan - simple, but what's a grille?
Look at your power supply fan from the back of the computer. That's a grille covering it.
    Quote
And after cutting the hole, how would I mount it. Screws through the case?
    Yes, with washers and nuts.
Dude, they'll NEVER fix the traffic or low income problems there (I only waited 25 adult years, watching things get worse.) I hope you don't get trapped there, economically-speaking. The city's full of people who can't afford to stay or leave.
Also, a tip for you: As a whole, don't trust anyone there, save the FEW individuals you might find along the way. A study published a few years ago shows that Arizona, and in particularly Tucson, is a tough place to live due to economic hardship and a lack of respect for family traditions/values. That's why I left.
But it's one HELLUVA party-town, especially at the U of A.

  • Alternative northbridge cooling solutions - P43 Neo-F

Hey guys, I'm running my q6600 at 3.2 ghz and the northbridge heatsink is very hot. It's also very lightweight, seemingly designed more for form than function (although it does look cool). I was just wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on how I could improve the situation.
I guess I could stick a small fan to the top, but can anyone recommend a small enough fan that will be quiet (that is available in UK)? Also how to attach it? Those thermal adhesive pad things?
Or just put on another heatsink, but are they generally one size fits all or do i need to find one for this particular board?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  • Cool Solution for Collages and Rapid Page/Album Design

    Hi all,
This past week I got introduced to an amazing application. Not new, just new to me...it is called Fotofusion by Lumapix. Its focus is collages and page/book layout for pro photographers. I had another pro (and fellow Aperture user) that I respect give me a demo of this, and I ran home to play with it myself. To say it is fast and responsive in doing this work is an understatement...you have to play with this thing to believe it.
As an event pro, I am always doing a collage 8x10 as a promo piece (mailer/giveaway) to point folks at the buying site. Even with all the PS templates, etc. There is NO COMPARISON, trust me. I just output a 20 image collage, with custom cropping, frames, shadowing and text in less than 10 minutes from a blank page in Fotofusion. My 2nd day playing with it... I can do it in less time now using the template it created. I can even tweak component images and simply re-render the piece to show the updates.
It responsiveness is due to its referential architecture, much like Aperture. It only stores references to the photo files, and creates and stores an instruction set on how to build the page. It only reads in the high detail of the photos when it renders the pages, and it can output the pages in any major format. It is a mature app, v4.3, my friend has been using his for about 4 months, and has done a dozen books with it already. Knowing all the shortcuts, he can really fly with it now.
I called Lumapix in Montreal, and found that the principals were formerly with SoftImage, a very high end modeling/compositing/animation system. That explained a lot, as SoftImage is an amazing app.
So what is the problem??? Fotofusion is a Windoze-only app. (Please don't stop reading, lol, fight the nausea) No one hates PC more than I, and I am still excited.
I have a Mac running Parallels (my financial app), and Fotofusion was just as fast on mine as it was on his Dell PC. My buddy actually bought dedicated PC to run this app. If you are a pro delivering wedding albums or collages on a regular basis...I have seen nothing that even comes close. This is the first time I have seen a photographers app on the PC that was really different & worthwhile.
I asked Lumapix if a Mac version was in the works, they said not at the moment as the software uses Windows system resources and would need to be re-written from the ground up for the Mac. I told them a dream of mine would be that they write this as an Aperture plug-in.
OR...if the Aperture team was to incorporate this Fotofusion level of speed and functionality to this task in the next version of Aperture, it would be awesome. I guarantee Apple would sell a lot more books...Fotofusion takes a fraction of the time that the Aperture book tool does to do a layout. I am hoping the Aperture team gets excited about this software design.
The demo of the software is fully functional except it prints watermarks on the output. It does work well in Parallels on my MBP, and is $299USD...but I would really want this functionality in Aperture...either native or a plug-in.
I figure if I made you folks aware of this, and you end up sharing my enthusiasm...maybe we can make some collective noise and see this or a design like it like it in or for Aperture. Before anyone asks...I have no commercial interest of any kind with this company...it just solved a huge workflow issue for me, I am excited, and I wanted to let others who need to do similar tasks know about it.
    Sincerely,
    K.J. Doyle

I want to see if anyone has an answer to this as well! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Aperture album designer, as it is so easy and fast to use. I am also making photographic printed albums for professional binding. I can't find a way to export the pages so that I can make these albums. The custom feature in the book designer looks as if it is only if I am printing here at the office on ink jet. If I was going to do that, I'd use InDesign.
I really really really want to hear that there is a way to export the book, but not in a PDF... so it can go to a real lab.
If anyone figures this out, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Heather

  • EWA and SLR reports in different solutions, possible?

    Hi,
We have a central Solution Manager to manage all the SAP systems of one of the business units of our company with 5 plants in different countries (Germany, USA, Argentina, Spain). The systems of each plant are administrated by the local SAP administrators in each plant so we have defined 2 solutions (productive and non-productive systems) for each plant and the EWA reports are activated in these solutions. We have another "reporting" solution for our IT Managers (situated centrally in Germany) with the productive systems of all the 5 plants. The SLR reports are activated in this solution.
So the solution landscape in our SolMan is as follows:
    - Solution Plant1 productive systems: EWA reports activated for the systems
    - Solution Plant1 non-productive systems: EWA reports activated for the systems
    - Solution Plant2 productive systems: EWA reports activated for the systems
    - Solution Plant2 non-productive systems: EWA reports activated for the systems
    - Solution Plant5 productive systems: EWA reports activated for the systems
    - Solution Plant5 non-productive systems: EWA reports activated for the systems
    - Solution Reporting (all plants productive systems): SLR reports activated for the systems
SLR report data is obtained from the EWA reports... so, must we activate too the EWA reports for the systems of the "Solution Reporting"? If we activate the EWA reports for the systems in this solution they would be duplicated (in 2 solutions) so there would be a  duplicated extraction job bein executed in the satellite systems and the EWA data would be duplicated in the SolMan. I mean, is EWA report data "solution specific" or is it "system specific" and then once it is generated in one solution it can be executed for the SLR reports of a different solution?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jon

Documentation on how to fufil this business requirement where you want a separate solution in the same Solution Manager system containing the same systems for which EWA is already running in other solutions is a little hard to find
I feel EWA is system specific - if by system specific you mean you can only get 1EWA/SLR by system not by solution
Another issue might also be adding systems currently in other solutions to a new solution
I could be wrong though - maybe there are other experts out there that can enlighten us
    Best wishes
    Stuart
