ZVM Recognition Solut

This is a solution for a specific problem that I've seen several posters encounter. I came across it with a fluke of luck.
NB: I have Windows XP Pro and SP2
Symptoms:
-- The Zen is recognized by the Device Manager as Unknown Device
-- The Device Manager asks for a driver to be installed
-- No drivers could be found or installed for the Zen
-- Neither the Creative software nor WMP recognizes the Zen as connected
-- The Zen does not appear in My Computer
Solution:
When the manager asks for driver installation:
-- Choose "No, not this time" when it asks if you want to connect to Windows Update
-- Choose "Install from a list or specific location"
-- Choose "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install"
-- At the list of hardware types, choose Uni'versal Serial Bus
-- If no drivers could be found, choose "Have Disk"
-- Browse to the following location and choose "c:\Windows\inf\wpd0.inf"
NB: If you can't see the inf directory in your Windows folder, you need to show hidden files and directories. You can change this by going to Tools>Folder Options>View>Show Hidden Files and Folders
-- Select the bolded driver (it should be a MTP driver)
Good luck!

Bailunrui,?Thanks for your response. I was able to locate the file. Now here's where my next problem is. When I go into Device Manager, under USB controllers, I have 4 Uni'vershal Host Controllers and 4 USB Root Hubs. The Zen is coming up as "Unknown Device". I am assuming that I right click on this and run the Update Driver correct? Then I do the following:
Chose Install from list of specific location. Click Next<
Click Don't search. I will chose to the?driver to install. Click Next<
Then I get to the Hardware Wizard update. Under the Model in the white box, I see Unknown Device there.<
Then I click Have Disk and type "c:\Windows\inf\wpd0.inf" under copy manufactures file from: Then select Browse.<
Then the Locate File window appears with all the INF files. I search for wpd0.inf then click select. Now I see the following in the box C:\WINDOWS\INF in the copy manufacturers file from. Is that correct?<
Then I come back to the same Hardware Wizard update?box. I feel like maybe something is not?right here and maybe this is where I'm going?wrong.<
Please adivse.
Thanks again!?

  • IPod in iTunes Recognition Solution - READ HERE

OK. It seems that a great number of people are having a great number of difficulties getting iTunes to recognise their iPods, while Windows will recognise it as a disk drive.
I had the same problem earlier today (well, yesterday in fact, since it's 0240 EST), and it frustrated me so much that I reformatted, both my PC AND my iPod, after going through Apple's Five "R"s.
Neither helped... but I DID find out what was causing my computer to recognise my iPod, but not my iTunes.
When I connected my iPod to my computer, I noticed the computer chimed twice instead of once for a newly recognised piece of hardware. When I went to "My Computer", I noticed it had registered both as an iPod and as a Removable Hard Drive. Odd, I thought, since it was just one device.
Well, being the genius that I am, I right clicked the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in my System Tray, which brought up the "Safely Remove Hardware" window. It listed two pieces - a "USB Mass Storage Device" and "Apple Computer_ Inc. iPod IEEE 1394 SBP2 Device" (my iPod is connected to my PC through my SoundBlaster Audigy 2's FireWire port).
I then STOPPED the "USB Mass Storage Device" instance of my iPod, leaving only the "Apple Computer_ Inc." instance intact. My iTunes then immediately (well, as far as immediately goes) recognised the iPod and began updating it with the songs I had on my D:\ drive.
This also explains why when I initially tried to update and reformat my iPod I received the "There is more than one iPod connected to your computer" error message.
Anyway, I hope this solution works for everyone else, should the "just smack it around" solution not work (it didn't for me - mine was a software issue, not a hardware one). And hopefully I won't have to go through this exercise every time I want to update some songs... I don't understand why my PC is recognising it as two separate devices when it really isn't two separate devices.

I was experiencing the same issue and tried the standard install/re-install steps. I also played around a bit with the msconfig soultion but unfortunatley this didn't work for me.
On one of my other machines I just finished configuring a Shuffle for my kids. It required me to install a later IPod updater (iPod Updater 2005-11-17). You can find it at http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
This seemed to do the trick for me. Goodluck

  • Does OCMS Support Voice Recognition?

    Hi,
I am interested in building a voice recognition solution so customers can call in and create their own Service Request in Oracle CRM. I've seen a couple of old articles (2004/05) about Oracle building this capability into their Mobility Server product but can't find any info on the Oracle site.
Does anyone know if OCMS supports voice recognition? If so, is there any doco on it? Is it hard to do?
    Any help appreciated.
    PL

    PL,
OCMS in itself is purely a singalling server and does not support media operations such as voice recognition. However, OCMS does work with media servers such as Genesys' VoiceGenie VoiceXML platform, which does perform Speech Recognition with VoiceXML scripts.

  • What is the next?

Well, I am quite disappointed by Arch linux. Before I installed it I had Ubuntu and had to fix at least something from time to time. But it wasn't enough and I had free time still.
I was promised that on Arch I will have to fix and learn more. But after I got Arch linux on my notebook running, nothing breaks.
I update everything everything I find with yaourt... Nothing breaks and it just works.
I have got the promised speed of light on Arch linux. I am impressed!
but  where are the promised things that I have to fix here?
I am bored now. Nothing to fix, I have to back to my work.:/

Seriously. Contribute to the AUR, help fix bugs as shown in the bugtracker, etc. It's been burning my free time up lately. It works pretty well. Hang out on #archlinux and help others. Make you own mini-projects like a right-click browser in Openbox, or a new panel. If you have free time, it's because you're not pushing yourself enough. Arch is nice because if you get it stable, it tends to stay stable, allowing you to explore beyond your horizon. Note the operative word there is explore, which means you have to actively do it. The problems won't come to you, necessarily.
Do you know of an up-to-date FOSS voice/facial recognition solution? I'd play with that one.
I'm close to a PKGBUILD for Julius with voxforge acoustic models for the voice recognition. Both are pretty actively developed (I think). As for facial recognition, there's the vxl library, but nothing that uses it yet compiles for me :-/.

  • Very basic pattern recognition

    Hello,
Our company has a number of LabView and TestStand licenses, but we do not have the Ni Vision Development Module. Up until now it hasn't been necessary, and
I don't think it is , alhough that is why I'm writing.
I need a very basic recognition solution. A device has Label A on the front and Label Be on the back. The device has a distinctive recognizable area on each side as well.
I need to look at the 'front' and distinguish Yes this the front and Yes this is Label A - No this isn't the front and No this isn't Label A
I would think there are inexpensive solutions for such a basic function, but I'm not having much luck finding them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
you could use OpenCV (http://opencv.org/) to achieve your goal, without needing the NI Vision Module. Build a dynamic link library (DLL) and call it in Labview. Simple pattern matching should be fairly simple to implement and would probably suffice in your case.
P.S.: You would need some C++ knowledge.
You can find some examples of calling OpenCV functions from Labview here:
    https://decibel.ni.com/content/blogs/kl3m3n
It is used with the NI Vision Module, but only to display the image (I think no image processing is performed with NI Vision functions...)
    Best regards,

  • Speech recognition or other solution for FCP user with hand injuries?

    Hi,
I work with final cut pro on a daily basis and have repetitive stress injuries on my hands/wrists from years of keyboard and mouse use. I was wondering if there is any way to use hands-free speech recognition software with a graphical program like fcp? Any other suggestions would be most welcome as well...
    Thanks.

    . I was wondering if
there is any way to use hands-free speech recognition
software with a graphical program like fcp?
Don't know about hands-free speech recognition, but I have a wacom tablet and pen that I love. Some people hate the pen but I love it. I allows free movement throughout the program with little effort of movement. It's also great for photoshop and After Effects when you're doing drawing type functions.
I'm assuming that you've seen a doctor and that you hand is being treated for injury. Correct?
Just a thought. My husband had carpal tunnel sydrome for months when a nasty hand injury forced surgery and they fixed the carpal tunnel while they were in there. Guys....

  • Voice recognition in iOS7 no longer recognizes the spoken word "period" as a punctuation mark.  Any solution to this?

iOS7 changed a feature of voice recognition.
When composing message using voice recognition (not Siri, just the "microphone" icon typically in either iMessage or e-mail) the voice recognition app recognizes spoken words like "comma", "question mark" and "exclamation mark" as punctuation.  For example if you said "Hello exclamation mark how are you question mark", the voice recognition system would type "Hello!  How are you?"  This is perfect and works very well.
Prior to iOS7 it used to recognize the word "period" as well.  If you said "Hello period  how are you question mark" it would respond with: "Hello.  How are you?" Now, after the iOS7 update, if you say "Hello period how are you question mark", you get "Hello period how are you?" typed back to you.  I've tried saying "dot" instead, and it will place a dot in the text, but it doesn't recognize it as a period: "Hello.how are you?"
Is there some setting I'm missing?  Is there a different voice command to get a period?
Edit:  UPDATE.  **SOLVED**  Apparently there are two ways this can happen.  1.) UK Keyboard or 2.) UK Siri.   I did not have the English (UK) keyboard enabled - just plain "English", but I had turned on the English (UK) Siri because I thought he sounded a little like Jarvis.  Anyway, apparently, that's what did it.  As soon as I turned Siri back to English (United States) saying "period" works.  Note:  If you want to keep the UK Siri, you have to say "Full Stop" to get a period.

Thanks for the heads up!  That was driving me nuts, too.  I was using the Australian English because she sounded cuter than Siri.  "Full stop" works for Australian as well.
Now if I can just figure out why the voice to text suddenly can't understand a word or two in almost every long sentence.  It almost comical how badly the translation suddenly works.  I hope it isn't due to the Australian choice as well.  I've already gotten used to her...  : /

  • SOLUTION TO I-POD MINI RECOGNITION

My i-pod recently was not bieng recognised by my computer or itunes. i updated n reset like the support site suggested i do, but NOTHING worked! So all i did was got my mates USB cord and used it on my computer and my i-pod works fine now it is recognised and is updated and back to normal. so the problem is with the USB cord not ur i-pod or computer!

You will lose whatever is on your ipod, but not from itunes...so you'll just have to update your library again. If you go on other forums, you will see this is a very common problem ie works fine for a while...then just stops being recognised. It's obviously a bug! Some people seem to think it's itunes 6...but then they said that when itunes 5.02 came out! Obviously it's a windows v ipod software problem...but like a lot of pc problems, seems to be unpredictable.
The only logical explanation I've heard is that once the power save or screen saver has kicked in on your computer, it can cause problems. I think Jonny was one of the lucky (but rare) instances when it was indeed a cable fault.

    Thanks a bunch!

You have several issues with third-party software.
Canon support software is showing up as a probelm. If you are using a Canon product, update all your drivers from the Canon web site. If you don't have Canon stuff, dump the software.
Also found two items that constantly show up in Safari crash logs:
    0x1154f8000 -        0x1154fbfff +net.culater.SIMBL.osax 0.9.7 (0.9.7) <1FDF1B1F-F495-144D-CAF2-D018D471C3F4> /Library/ScriptingAdditions/SIMBL.osax/Contents/MacOS/SIMBL
           0x115a22000 -        0x115a2dff7 +com.yourcompany.SafariSniffer ??? (1.0) <15F904E5-E9FC-6AC8-B6A9-7D7F4AE461CD> /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/SafariSniffer.bundle/Contents/MacOS/SafariSniffer
I show the paths to these items in red. Find them using the path info and delete them. Restart the computer (I get the impression it's not been restarted in a long time) and then fry Safari again. The crash log was so complex that there may be other third-party items. but the ones I listed were at the top of the log. This make take several passes to find and eliminate all the issues if you've been profligate with loading 3rd-party extensions and add-ons. Ok so we are all new to the wonderful world of face recognition in LR.  I'm trying to work out what would be the best practices for using this.
A little bit of background - I have a catalog of over 200,000 images.  In addition to portrait and wedding clients, a significant part of my work is with models and another significant part of my work is theatre photography.  I have be wanting some sort of face recognition to help with both for some time.
What are your namining conventions for people? - here's mine:
Ideally I would label people as "surname, firstname" so that I can keep members of a family together in "named people" display, but commas are not allowed in names.  Also the professional name of many models doesn't fit that pattern eg "Strawberry Venom" or "Cute as Sin" are to models I have worked with.
I am trying to come up with a sensible naming convention at the moment it is "Surname/ Firstname" for clients, theatre folk and friends/family.  Models are still a problem, at present I am thinking of "Surname/ Firstname (model name(s))"  While I may not be able to remember the real names of models, I do usually know the names from model releases.  This naming will still permit me to filter/find them in the keyword List panel by just entering the model name.
On final addition I am making to this this naming convention is the use of a hashtag suffix to the name:  #F for friends and family, #C for clients, #T for theatre/actors and #M for models.  This enables me to filter on just models, or just actors, or just friends and familiy.  Where people fall into multiple categories I add multiple hashtags.  So photos of me would be keyworded with "Butterfield/ Ian #F #T"
    Unknown / unidentified people.
What I am not yet certain about is how to handle unknown / unidentified people.  Unidentified people fall into a number of different categories.
People I don't know and I am never likely to know (Eg random strangers on the street, local tour guides on holiday, random people in the background etc)
This group is relatively easy to deal with - that is to simply delete the face recognition, End of story.
People I don't know the names of yet but I am likely to find out (Eg actors in a production for which I don't have a programme)
For these people I am making up a unique name using the format "date/ Context-Gendernn" Eg an unknown male actor at Stockport Garrick Theatre would be named as "20150313/ SGT-M01"  Although this may appear a complex solution it has a number of advantages.  If/when I do learn the name of the individual (Eg I photograph them in a different production) it is simply a case of renaming the people keyword.  Creating a unique name and not simple assigning all unknowns to a bucket name will help the face recognition algorithms find this person without it being confused by have different faces assigned to the same name. I am also using the hashtage #U to make it easier to filter the unknown faces when I need to.
People I don't know the names of and there is only a slim possibility of meeting/photographing again (Eg guests as a client weeding)
It feels as though I out to just delete the face recognition and have done with it, and this is what I would do except for thing. Other than manually drawing face regions I have not yet found a way to get lightroom to rescan a folder for faces if you have previously deleted the face recognition.  This means that deleting face regions from a large number of people is something that cannot be easily reversed.  I might just leave these people in the "Unnamed People" category... at lease until such time as there is a way to rescan a folder or colectoin.
    Summary
My practices are still evolving. But I hope these thoughts and idea will help others think through the issues and come up with solutions that work for their situation.  I am interested in hearing how other people are using the face recognition system.  Especially if anyone is aware of any 'best practices' that Adobe or anyone else has recommended.

    Glad it helped.
Yes and no.  You can still put the people keywords into hierarchies within the keyword list - you can arrange them just like any other keywords.so you just create a "smith family" keyword and store "john smith" under it.  What you can't do is apply BOTH smith family and john smith the the same face.
My use of the hash tags came about because I initially had a top level keyword for models, one for clients, one for theatre peple and one for family and firends.  Then discovered that some of the theatre folk were also clients (headshots) and what to do when a friend is also a client.  So the hash tag system means a person can be both a friend, a model, an actor as well as being a client!  (#T #C #M #F).

  • Sorry, a serious error has occurred... Rant and a solution

Warning. Much of this post is frankly a rant against a poorly written program and the so-called experts who offer up solutions here. If you are one of these experts and you have a thin-skin, don't read this post.
If you just want a solution to the problem skip to the bottom of the post.
    INTRODUCTION
Adobe, I want my money back! I rarely buy Adobe products and always wind up regretting it when I do. This product was no exception.
I tried the trial version. Bought the product along with Photoshop Elements as part of a promotion.
Produced a couple of videos with it, no problems. Then, inexplicably, it stopped working for me and I would get the infamous "Sorry, a serious error has occurred..." message while trying to start or open a project. This would happen almost immediately, as it was drawing its intial screen layout.
MY FIRST BIG COMPLAINT... USELESS ERROR MESSAGE
This has to be the most useless error message I've ever read. The few times I've had programs crash on me, the error message that results usually gives me enough clues to find and fix the root problem.
    ONWARD...
Uninstalled it with Revo Uninstaller, re-installed it.
    Deleted all old project files.
Tried to re-start by clicking 'New Project' button.
Prompts me for a location for the project. I accepted the default.
Immediately gives me the "Sorry, a serious error has occurred..." message and shuts down when I press okay.
MY SECOND BIG COMPLAINT... INCOMPLETE UNINSTALL
I did observe that when I went to use the Organizer after the re-installs, the thumbnails of previous videos were still there. Clearly some cache wasn't removed during the uninstall.
If a cache wasn't removed, perhaps other remnants of the the program were still lying about on my machine. If they were the problem, then no amount of uninstalling/ re-installing would solve the problem.
    CONTINUING...
At this point, I came to the forums for help and my worst fears were confirmed. This error message is a common problem. The suggestions to solve it were all over the place. The sheer depth and width of this faultfinding indicated to me that this is a seriously buggy piece of software.
With one or two exceptions it seems that nobody ever resolves this problem.
MY THIRD COMPLAINT... WELL-MEANING BUT UNHELPFUL 'SOLUTIONS'
These are some of the typical solutions I read on these forums:
    - Your computer is probably underpowered. Give us a list of all your specs.
    - Your computer doesn't have enough hard drive space. Give us a list of all your specs.
    - Your computer doesn't have enough RAM. Give us a list of all your specs.
    - Something on your computer has 'changed'. Give us a list of all your specs.
    - Your hard drive is dying. Back it up quick!
    - It's probably your anti-virus software. Turn it off.
    - Some of your drivers are probably out of date. Update them all. Give us a list of all your specs.
    - That's a different issue... start a new thread. (Lame...)
Most of that advice is... well, lame. It's pretty obvious that these people are just winging it, i.e. throw everything up there and hope something works. Sorta like that tech guy on the support line who always ends up telling you to 're-install the program' because he really has no clue what the problem is and just wants you off the line.
As someone who has used video editing programs for years, I'm here to tell you that the problem is rarely the computer specs. The specs listed by Adobe for this program aren't that onerous and my three-year-old Dell 1525 laptop with less than 20 megs of space on its 136 HD and 2 megs of RAM was able to produce videos with no problem.
Most computers sold within the last three or four years are pretty robust and should have no problem with consumer level video editing.
Sending people off on a quest to 'fix' their computer and research a lot of computer specs is a time-waster. That should be the LAST thing you recommend after first eliminating the program as a problem.
    ONLINE SUPPORT
This is worthy of its own post, but I won't bore you here. Suffice it to say that Adobe tech support deserves some sort of industry recognition for its ineptitude.
    MY SOLUTION
First, let me reinterate. The problem is probably the buggy program and not your computer, assuming your computer is relatively new and mid-range or better.
In my case, the clue was in the fact that not all of the program is uninstalled when you try to do a uninstall / re-install. The program likely had some sort of corrupted cache that stopped the program and that remained after an uninstall.
I unstalled it again, but after some research I came across this tool:
Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/829/cpsid_82947.html
    and this reference:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/859/cpsid_85966.html
The reference above applies to Photoshop, but the Organizer elements applies to Premiere unintalls as well.
After applying these two solutions and then re-installing, my Premiere Elements is working once again.
Had I followed the typical advice I would have spent days updating drivers, installing RAM, de-fragging and cleaning up my hard drive, listing specs to post here, etc. And none of it would have mattered a wit.
The program is still buggy though and my original problem may re-occur, I admit. I will certainly never buy another version of this POS program again, but, in the meantime, I hope I can save someone here some time in looking for a fix for their own message.

Your post count is 2 (as I write this) beginning July 17 - which indicates to me that you never asked for help in this forum (or you did so under another name)
As Steve said (and which you may not have known) this is not Adobe support, this is a place provided by Adobe for users to try and help each other
Yes... Adobe has less than good telephone support... a year or so ago that was even admitted to by the Adobe CEO, with discussion of that over in http://forums.adobe.com/community/general/forum_comments or maybe it was http://forums.adobe.com/community/general/forum_comments (been long enough ago that I don't really remember)
If you do have future questions... come back and ask and someone will try to help

  • How do I turn off faces recognition in iphoto

how do I turn off faces recognition in iphoto?  I mean forever!!

So by deleting the "Face Profile" or whatever it's called for the individual Faces keeps searching for, you think that's not a solution?
The actual pictures identified by faces are not deleted. Only the avatar and name you list to be looked for within faces is what you're removing.
Do you have a better solution? I'm all ears.

  • How to Switch Off Speech Recognition

I activated speech recognition just to see what it can do and got the round microphone icon in my screen. As I press Esc I can give commands.
I want to get rid of this round thing in my screen though and switch off Speech Recognition completely because I never use it.
I can not find where to switch it off. Who does?

I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  This has happened to me many times.  I don't know why the circle surfaces, but the common response is false - in my preferences, Speakable items is set to OFF.  Turning any of the Speech settings on or off does not make the circle window disappear.  The only way I can get rid of it is to reinstall the operating system from scratch (not an update), which is an incredible pain.  I've done this twice to get rid of the circle, and it's back again!  This is clearly a Snow Leopard bug, since all the responses say when you go into preferences you should see that Speakable items is set to ON, and it's NOT.
Seriously, if ANYONE knows how it gets in this state, and how to get rid of it when it's not responding to preferences.  Force Quit doesn't see it.  Maybe there's a low level Console way to kill the app - I'd do anything to get rid of that circle...
GUYS - SNOW LEOPARD USERS!  I SOLVED IT!  I SOLVED IT!  I still don't know what triggers it, but here's how you get rid of it without a reinstall:
    1) Launch Activity Monitor in flat mode
    2) Look for a running task called something like SpeechRecognitionServer and select it.
    3) Hit the Quit Process button on the upper left!
Voila, that annoying circle is gone!!!
    YIPPIE!
    - Jeff
    P. S. I just noticed that this bug still wasn't solved in Lion, so hopefully my solution will help Lion users as well.  This bug definitely didn't exist in Leopard.

  • Satellite P500 - Solution how to run the sound on XP 32bit and 64bit

    hi all..
Now I write here how I made something that seems impossible ...
    I mean running sound on a laptop satellite/ qosmio p500/505 300/500
and other models with the Conexant high definition sound card on Windows XP x32/x64 sp2/sp3 ..
I know that many of us have a problem to run any sound at all,
the basic problem is that Windows XP does not have a built-in driver files
are responsible for recognition of the latest sound cards based on high-definition audio.
Last patch to the system kb888111 released by Microsoft aimed to fix this problem was released in 2005
and is not contained in the files that recognize the latest Conexant sound card.
next problem is correct driver. Toshiba has not released XP drivers for the Conexant sound card
for laptop qosmio / satellite 500 / 505 , so you should find and use the drivers from
the manufacturers of other models of computers. most of the drivers and the best have to download Lenovo and Dell.
Personally I used to run the sound in my P500 drivers Downloaded from the Dell web site
most important in the downloaded drivers, then you want to install is to edit .INF file which can be found in the folder
with drivers. This file is a text file so edit it in notepad.
edition .INF file is trailing in the path identifying our equipment.
hardware ID can be found for example in the device manager tab in sound, video and games controllers.
for most newer toshiba laptop hardware id is :
    %HdAudioFunctionDriver.Pebble5071.DeviceDesc% = HdAudModel,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5069&SUBSY S_1179FFD4
but it may vary so please check it in your computer !!!
Those who managed to run the sound will certainly have to contend with another problem,
after restarting the computer has no sound and the computer loses the drivers and settings
and next to the watch does not appear on the speaker icon. This problem is also solved by me below.
    Now to work ..
I assume that you have already installed XP x32 or x64, but not yet run a sound.
to run the sound, install the driver from the chipset, then the patch kb888111.
    If all goes well,
in the device manager tab system devices you should found 2 entries "Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio"
where are those 2 entries, click on each of them, right-click and select "update driver"
then you select "instal from a list or specific location" and then point the location where you saved the
files that you downloaded from the link No. 1
REMEMBER not to confuse and do not try to update the x32 system using file system designed for X64 and vice versa
when we make updates to the system should automatically detect the sound card in Device Manager should be about
5 yellow question marks, four belong to the Nvidia high-definition audio and one for the Conexant High Definition Audio.
Now install the driver from the Nvidia graphics card which contains the sound driver. after installation reboot
after restarting the computer. enter the device manager and there is no longer 5 yellow question marks,
is the only one this one belongs to the Conexant sound card, Right-click on this one yellow entry and
select "update driver" then you select "instal from a list or specific location"
and then point the location where you saved the files that you downloaded from the link No.2
pointing hand and forces the driver installation. after installation, you enjoy the sound.
REMEMBER not to confuse and do not try to update the x32 system using file system designed for X64 and vice versa
link No. 2, includes drivers which I have edited and which I myself use
in my Toshiba Satellite P500-1CG. these are the drivers for XP x32 and x64 sp2/sp3
    link no. 1 http://www.speedyshare.com/files/23583256/UAA_BUS_DRIVER_update.rar
    link no. 2 http://www.speedyshare.com/files/23583437/xp_pebble_drivers_for_toshiba.rar

believe that this solution will also work with other models of Toshiba computers that have built-in sound card Conexant. Ultimately, it will be only a matter of editing a text file. INF driver sound in which you will need to add before installation, your hardware id. and all that. enjoy
