Firefox does not open in safe mode and from the menu bar it will not quit ...... I have to go to the dock and right clic to force quit.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, to try terminal as instructed
It will not open in safe mode
What now ?

Try doing a "clean install" of Firefox:
# Force quit Firefox
# Drag Firefox (in Applications) to Trash, and empty trash
# Download Firefox again from http://www.mozilla.com and re-install.

That looks like a JSON bookmarks backup file, from 11-01-2012. Did you try '''restoring''' that file?

Never messed with JSON files other than viewing them on a few occasions out of curiosity. There are no line breaks which make them very difficult to read.
As far as working with that file in {like} NotePad goes:
A. use Find / Search for each indecent of a '''"uri"''' string, then "copy and paste" the uri into another text file, and then move on to the next "uri" string.
B. use a text program where a filter can be set for the "uri" field in the JSON file for a line break or to "scrape out" the "uri"s only for display or export to a list of uri's.
Or try using an online JSON editor like this, to try to display only the "uri" field.

From you home screen, swipe down on the middle of the screen in order to get the Spotlight Search feature to appear at the top. Type in the name of the app. If the app appears in the search - tap on it and it should launch. After it launches, double tap the home button and close it. This explains how to close it.

After you close tha app, see if it shows up on one of your screens. If it still doesn't appear, reboot your iPad and then see if it shows up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

How can I prevent the open/save file confirmation window popup ? Mine is currently set for "always do this action" but I still get the popup.

Whenever I "export" a QIF file from my bank I get a File Action confirmation window popup. I have the correct application selected and I have it selected to "open" and "always do this action" but the popup always pops.
I have checked the applications tab and the correct application is selected.
How can I prevent the confirmation popup window please ?

I have deleted the rdf file but no difference. I still get the opening file box popup.
From the resetting download actions link. Both lines in the about:config are missing.
I have also tried switching the download option for the qif file to use a csr file but that also opens the confirmation box.

Firefox won't open after last update on a Snow Leopard Macbook Pro

I just updated Firefox and it now bounces in the dock and then stops bouncing and the little dot below disappears. I've tried restarting the machine and downloading Firefox again. There's no error message given. Does anyone have any ideas ?

I had the same problem. I took the advice to start in safe mode and tested out my two add-ons (Greasemonkey and AdBlock) to see which was the problem. Firefox started perfectly when I disabled Greasemonkey. Hope that helps other people with this same frustrating problem.

Since upgrade when I am in Google Finance and look at stock quote, and hit to see chart for say six months, it now opens a blank web page. this did not happen before the most recent upgrade? How fix? Explorer will still provide the chart.

Just go to google finance and get a stock quote on any stock and then the price comes up and you can choose to see the price history of different time periods, 1, 5, day one week, one month, etc. In the past when you hit the button for one of the charts, it would just change the chart on the same page, now it opens a new page that is blank?

What you are doing is not supported by Oracle. From EM Database Console FAQ (863631.1):
What action needs to be taken if the hostname or SID of the database server is changed?
If there is a hostname or SID change for the database server then the database console needs to be recreated. There is no other solution if the hostname or SID is changed other that recreating the database console. All database console configuration files are created under the hostname_sid directory and the configuration files along with the repository keeps reference of the hostname, which is why dbconsole needs to be reconfigured if there is change in hostname/sid.

I recently un-installed Firefox on my Windows Vista laptop; when I re-installed it, the program is only available to me (the administrator of the laptop); two other users are not able to use the program. I've tried "right-clicking" on the Firefox icon, clicking on Properties, then Security, and adding the two other users to the list, but after clicking on "apply" and then "OK", the other users still don't have access to the program. If you want to sync it to the iPad from that Mac, you need to upgrade it to at least 10.5.8.
If you want to copy the music to another Mac, you don't. Move the iTunes folder of the item in the Finder's sidebar over as you would any other folder. If you put it somewhere other than the Music folder, launch iTunes with the Option key held down and point it to that location.

ORARRP Web Page test did not open printer dialog

Set-Up
I have downloaded ORARRP onto the client (in WINNT).
I modified the INI to use "choose_printer=no".
I have updated the httpd.conf under the Apache directory path on our linux server and restarted the listener as per the orarrp instructions.
Client Test
If I use IE to open test.rrpa on the client (as file:///c:/test.rrpa), the file is printed.
Server Test/Problem
I renamed a pdf file on the server to test.rrpa and created an html page with a link to it. When I goto this test html page in IE on my client and click the link, it opens the rrpa file in Acrobat. But nothing prints.
Note: The default printer on my client is a local printer (on LPT1).
What have I missed?
Any help will be greatly apprciated. Thanks.
