I'd like to know if it is possible to add a WBS Element into a WBS Element Group starting from a report as like it possible for Cost Centers in report obtained by TC KS13

i've have two scenarios (mail to mail and file to file) with the same issue : no namespace in my XML file and i have to create one 'dynamically' from XML values.

Now I want to add infos into the root element for namespace declaration and so on, without expansion of the xsd. I've must use the value from the field schemaID.

I've already done it before through XSLT but it wasn't dynamic !! I don't know how to do it in XSL and i am not a java expert.

If you want to add name space at mapping level two options
1)Using XSLT Mapping ,its very easy,google it to get sample XSLT code ,it will solve your problem.
2)Using java mapping,in java mapping use regular expression code ,using regex(Regulkar expresion)we can add any content in message at any level.

Lock Cost Element into a WBE element

Hi all,
I want to lock all movements (CO-FI-MM) for a WBE with a Cost Element. How to do this? It's possible with a GGB0 validation?
I'm thinking about put the Cost Element code in a WBE master data field (I don't know which one yet). Then create a validation that check in Co tables that all costs movements (not budgeting) for a WBE element has the correct cost element.
How to do this?

You cannot assign cost element in WBSE master data. What you should do is? If the CO document contains is posted with that cost element then check If WBSE is entered as the CO object.
On the other end: I want to lock a WBS with a Cost Element, not to lock a Cost Element with a WBS.
I want to put the Cost Element in a WBS master data field (like Responisble o something like this eith a Char10 domain) and check if posting in a WBS element, if KSTAR field of the CO document is equal to Responsible Field in the WBS element

I don't expect ASE to start using error numbers in the user-defined range. I'm part of the group that reviews new messages, and conserving the shrinking pool of available numbers is certainly a concern of ours. We are actually still some ways away from running out of numbers.
The error numbers are actually a concatenation of a major family number (the 100s values)
and minor numbers 0-99 in each family. There are many families of errors that have unused values, one possibility is that we could use those unused values for errors that don't really belong in that family.   Another thing we can do (though it would have to be in a major release of both open client and ASE) would be to introduce another mechanism that might work just the same as error messages but be called, say, "notifications" or "faults' (though that term is already used by checkstorage.
There actually already exist two such families of messages, one called "errors" and the other called "messages". You can see this when configuring a shared memory dump, both are possible dump conditions. "Errors" show up in the errorlog displaying the message number, severity, and a state value, while "Messages" just display text and support has to look up the associated message number in the ASE sourcecode. (Not all text messages in the log are actual messages like this, some are just text that gets printed that one can't configure a memory dump on.)

Checking WBS elements when changing WBS element group

Dear Gurus,
Well I am a technical consultant, I use to dwell in the ABAP forum, so maybe I am going to say things without much sense, if so please tell me.
I have a problem. One of our customers uses transaction KJH2 to change WBS elements groups and they have asked us to check the WBS elements that the users can put in the transaction.
If a user adds a new WBS range both the WBS elements have to exist in the system, we have to check it somehow, probably using a user-exit or a BADI.
The problem is that I have been looking for a BADI or a USER-EXIT for many hours and I have been unable to find one which allows us to check this, same when the user inputs the WBS element as when we save the changes.
Somebody has some help? Any advice would be apreciated.
In the while I will keep trying to find it and if I succeed I will post it here anyhow.
So long I have put a break-point in the 'CL_EXITHANDLER' class and I have checked the BADIs that can be used when I make the process, none can be useful I think. I have tried to find a USER-EXIT and I have foud none.

Maybe you are right and we can't use a BADI for this. But we have a customer which has requested us to code this data check so I have to try.
I agree that this is master data but it is a simple data check without many consecuences (at least it seems so to me), maybe there is a way to do this.
Right now I think I am going to stop this until Monday as the FI consultant is now on vacation.

Standard WBS Elements v Operative WBS elements as templates

Hi
I am considering the use of Standard WBS elements however one of the limitations that I have identified is that it is not possible to enter the any default settlement parameters into the WBS elements.
As our Work Breakdown structures are a combination of both operative as well as capital WBS elements (for accounting purposes) it is not possible to enter the default Settlement Profile in the project profile. ie: Mulitple settlement profiles are used across the WBS elements for a single project profile, depending on the required accounting treatment.
Ensuring that users enter the correct settlement paramters for each WBS element cannot be gaurenteed and it does not appear possible to use sustitutions to populate these parameters. Month end settlement is often problematic and the correct accounting treatment is essential so I am looking for alternatives.
One alternative that comes to mind is to set aside a range of operative WBS elements for use as templates. This would then ensure that all required fields in the operative structures are pre - populated including the settlement parameters.
Has anyone used operative structures in this way and if so are there any potential issues?

Thanks for your ongoing input. I am still not sure my original message was clear.
The key point is that I am talking about using a range of operative structures as templates. "lets just say the first 200 operative structures will be designated as templates." These operative structures to be used as templates, contain different settlement parameters for each WBS element.
In your first post you mentioned.
"2. But this will not solve your purpose as copied projects will not have the settlement profile "as it is" in the std. operative WBS elements. Settlement profile gets defaulted from project profile... hence you will have to mainatin it manually again in the copied projects."
and in your second post.

This is not the case, you actually do not need to maintain these settlement parameters manually when you copy an operative structure. (used as a template) This is exactly why I am considering using operative structures and NOT standard structures as templates. I agree, when using standard structures no settlement paramaters are inherited.
As I mentioned in my first post the Project Profile will not contain a settlement profile. Hence when the operative structure with pre populated settlement parameters is used as a "template" and copied to create a new operative structure all settlement parameters are copied / inherited to the new operative structure. This is the result based on my prototype. Try this, copy an operative structure that has pre populated settlement parameters and you will see that all these settlement parameters are copied.....at least in my system that is the way it works.
I hope this helps clear up any misunderstanding.

Level One WBS Element as Acct Assignment Element

My user have created one project, In that there are various levels WBS Elements.
Normally we never tick Level One WBS Element as a Acct Assignment Element.But User have made Level One WBS Element as Acct Assg Element and then Project is Released.So now I can't remove that tick because that field is Grayed out or Freezed.
Now i wanted to Remove or Undo Release status and then I have to remove Acct Assg Element Tick.
Pls guide me on this issue.

I had not seen this problem before. So i checked it in my system. But i didn't see this
happening for me.
I think once system status is in REL (released) status you cannot reverse it. According to me Acct.
assignment field become gray only when posting is made against that WBS and not after release.
Pls check it and inform.

How to add elements into java string array?

I open a file and want to put the contents in a string array. I tried as below.

Actually you cannot increase the size of a String array. But you can create a temp array with the lengt = lengthofarray+1 and use arraycopy method to copy all elements to new array, then you can assign the value of string at the end of the temp array

Text put into a canvas element with context.fillText() always has a black box where each letter goes. If the text is black you just see the black rectangle. If the text is not black you see it on the black bounding box. Surely this is not right.

This has happened on the last few versions of firefox, as long as canvas has been supported. I see other people's screen shots from canvas tutorials, and the text always looks normal. On my system, any text put into a canvas element via context.fillText() will have a black bounding box for each letter, sized appropriately for the letter. If the text is black, of course you only see rectangles. If the text is a contrasting color, then you can read it, but it looks bizarre.

I used Custom Text - entered a sentence, hit return, entered another.
Set to 72 pt.
The default alignment is centred - I want left aligned text...the text start point stays at the centre of frame and the sentence runs off the edge of the bounding box.
There is no settings in the Text or Title inspector dialog to correct that!
Using Transform will not sort it!

How to get multiple elements into one element as multiple occurences

I can't figure out how to do this. I have an input message that has multiple elements and I need to take those elements and copy them into one element with each new element going in as a new occurence or instance. For example

When Editing A Web Page In Edge Animate, How Can I Embed Edge Elements Into Pre-Existing DIV's?

I created a basic layout with some boxes in Dreamweaver. I set the Overflow property on them to "Hidden". I then opened the page in Edge Animate. However I noticed that when I import stuff, such as an image, then try to drag it into one of the existing DIV's, it won't work. It stays on top of all the other DIV's. However if I create a box or some other sort of DIV directly in Edge Animate, I can drag the Image element into that, so it's enclosed within that DIV.
I guess the workaround appears to be to embed the image into the DIV in Dreamweaver first, then open the page in Edge. However it would be nice to not have to keep jumping back and forth like that. Is there a way to do this in Edge Animate?
Also, I noticed when I select one of the DIVs I made in Dreamweaver, many of the Properties such as Corners, Shadow, and Filters are missing. Can these only be used on DIV's created directly in Edge Animate?

What you're seeing is the difference between what we define as a static div (one that is defined outside of Animate) and a managed div (one that is defined inside of Animate). Due to the fact that we expect other products to change a static div, we limit the amount of changes you can make to a static div. Because we "manage" a div that is created inside of Animate, we allow a lot more changes to be made to a div. Hope that answers your question! I'd suggest creating divs within Animate if you want to eventually change them to have corners, etc.

in my vi I have a chart with 5 Plots displaying measurement data.
The user should be able to save all the history data from the chart at anytime. (e.g. the user watches the chart and some event happens, then he presses a "save"-button)
I know, that I can read out the history data with a property node. That is not the problem. The problem is, how do I handle the data? The type of the history data is a 1-D array of cluster of 5 elements.
I have to convert that data somehow into a 2 D-array of numbers or strings, so that I can easily save it in a text-file.
How do I convert a 1-D array of cluster of 5 elements into a 2-D array of numbers?

Do you want to know How to insert an element into an XML document?
Answer: I can see you already know how to do it. You have added the element using addContent()
or do you want to know How to display the XML in a tidy format?
Answer: to view the XML in a properly formatted style you can you the Format class. A very basic way of viewing the XML would be:
