When I open firefox at the start of a session the search engine 'CONDUIT' fires up.
I don't understand how this outfit has imposed itself on my system ... unless it's all part of a firefox utility upgrade?
If it is and I can't replace Conduit with Google UK ... then I'll move elsewhere.
Can you advise whether this is a 'Firefox' preferred package and if I have thee option to remove it / replace it with Google ... and if, then How ???

I downloaded a book sample to iBook. I deleted it and then bought the full book and downloaded it. The search engine keeps only searching the sample, about 50 pages, and not the full book. How do I get the search engine to search the full book?

Audition seems to have updated its layout and options for recording..
i am no longer able to record while hearing the playbacc in both sides of tha headphones. uggh i just finally figured all this stuff out and now its changed and unable to record....
I think you're going to have to provide more information. Describe how you set up record in Audition. What happens exactly when you try it? Error messages?

Verizon wirelss seems to have more drop areas and less coverage in the Spokane area. Why is that?
I have been a Verizon wireless customer for many years. This last year or so I have found more and more light coverage areas and have had more dropped calls than in the previous five. I have had to consider moving to another carrier. Does anyone know of why Verizon coverage has become worse and are others experiencing the same thing?
Thanks for filling us in on a few more details! There are definitely many factors that can contribute to changes in service. Builging materials, terrain, number of customers trying to use the phone nearby, even signal boosters can all have a different effect on your coverage in an area. The Network Extender http://vz.to/IHRT6h is intended to help with both voice and 3G data inside of a home and there is not a 4G LTE version (calls are not placed over LTE services in most cases).
If the purchase of a Network Extender hasn't helped inside your home, we do need to take a few troubleshooting steps to see why. When you place a call, do you hear the short tones before the call connects indicating you're connected to the Network Extender? What type of home internet connection do you have? What model router is the extender connected through?

I do not want Bing in my computer.
I get angry and uninstall the new firefox because i can not keep bing at bay. Every time I go back and install Firefox because I do not like Opera I have Microsoft's Bing invading my system as yahoo search or bing.
I want to know what are the host files I need to enter, so I can completely block this search engine virus that keeps invading my system.For the record: Yahoo search is Microsoft Bing, with a different name.
Yahoo search was a great search engine in the past, that knowledge was given to Microsoft to improve Bing, and Yahoo signed an financial agreement with Microsoft to use Bing.
I can remove Bing, but it always returns in 6 hours, or in several days. It has the qualities of malware, in that it keeps reappearing. There is no method I can find of keeping Bing search off my system, other than to not install Firefox.

I have downloaded an album from itunes using HughesNet Download Manager scheduled to download during the 2 am to 8 am download period. The album seems to have downloaded to my computer. I found the file in c:\downloads\. I cannot get it into itunes. Can anyone please give me step-by-step instructions on how to use the downloaded file? I have tried to import it and drag and drop. As stated above, Firefox disables some plugin the bing homepage uses. I don't want this plugin disabled. Firefox doesn't tell me what plugin it is. I don't want Firefox, mozilla, or anyone else deciding for me what plugins should and should not be disabled. This is my computer, not yours. How do I stop Firefox from acting like it knows better than me what plugins to disable and when?
In order to change the default search engine or the order of search engines in the top right search box in Firefox, please perform the following steps:
#Move the mouse cursor inside the search box at the top right of the Firefox window and click the down arrow next to the provider's logo.
#If you would like to select another search engine, simply pick the engine from the dropdown list.
In order to change the order of the search engines, do this:
#From the dropdown list, select ''Manage Search Engines...''.
#In the upcoming window, you have all your search engines listed. To change the order, simply click one search engine and then select ''Move up'' or ''Move down'' from the buttons on the right side in order to change the order of the search engines. -

CS6 problem. When I open the Mask panel, it takes up the entire screen width and the Looks controls disappear, Also, there is a new panel below the Mask panel that seems to have no purpose that I can find. The documentation says "Mask and Look panels - The Mask panel is now placed next to the Look panel. WIth the masking and grading tools placed side-by-side, you can now work faster on the mask workflow." Is there a way to move, hide, or otherwise manipulate the panels for a custom layout? All the examples I can find on the Web show the Looks panel to the left of the Mask panel where the controls are available.
Ok, here is what I have so far. Appdelete the iWork and reinstalled. Pages and Number work, but not Keynote.
Now, I downloaded a couple apps that I need, and no matter what I did, the spinning ball came up and the download stopped till it unlocked itself. It is really frustrating because the download was not completed and whatever came through would not mount. Could this issue be the internet connection? Permission fix showed a lot of Airport issues. I will try to run permissions fix again. -

You can reset a Password (lost/forgotten) set on your Mac using 'Reset Password Utility' available with OS X Utilities tool. With OS X Mountain Lion, OS X Utilities tool can be generally found on a local hidden Recovery HD Partition if your Mac has one.
To check If your Mac has got a local hidden Recovery HD Partition, start your Mac holding COMMAND + R buttons. If you hold the keys pressed enough and there is a local Recovery HD Partition on your Mac, you will be presented with OS X Utilities window.
Click the 'Tool' menu item and choose 'Reset password'. Terminal window appears. Type 'resetpassword' into it and press 'Enter'. Reset Password window appears with User Account Names available on your Start-up Volume. Select the User Account Name and rest is simple to follow.
One of the advantages of this method is that it does not require any Authorization method such as administrative authentication to reset a password.
NOTE: If your Mac does not have a local hidden Recovery Partition on its system disk, you can create one using Disk Assistant application available from Apple. Search for the Disk Assistant in the support area. -
I can't backup my iPhone 5. It says I don't have enough storage. So I've deleted like 6-7 apps and its still says I don't have enough storage. And it also says the same thing when I want to buy new apps or music. Also my messages won't send; I have to turn my phone off and resend then just to they can send. I can't even take any pictures because it says I have no storage.(I currently have 1,658 photos and 72 videos by the way.) What can I do? I just my phone in late December. I didn't think it would act up this bad before I even had it for a year. Please help.
Your phone needs more storage, buying storage on iCloud.com doesn't change that.
Delete some of the stuff off of your phone, it's full. -
I seem to have at least two, and maybe four, iCloud accounts, across my iPhone, my iPad and my MacBook Pro. Can I combine them into one iCloud account? I have been able to log into what appears to be three of the four iCloud accounts I have. Two of them seem to be remarkably similar, and one appears to be only for my MacBook.I think I know which one my iPhone is backing up to, as I successfully restored from a back-up last week. The fourth iCloud account I can't access via password or security questions. Any advice would be much appreciated.
