Create an editable pdf that can be submitted by email
I've figured out how to create an editable pdf in Adobe Acrobat Pro. The pdf is a form to be completed. Is it possible for the recipient to complete it, save the changes in Adobe Reader and email it back? If not, what software do they need? (Acrobat?)
iicatcher,
You can!
The commands are slightly different depending on the version of Acrobat. I'd recommend you see the following video and help topic:

How to create interactive PDF that can be submitted through website?
I have created an interactive PDF with a submit button at the bottom that will send to my email when clicked. However, when I uploaded the form to my website to test it, the form didn't do anything once I clicked the 'submit' form.
So my question is: What do I need to do to allow the form to submit from my website? I am using Acrobat 9 Pro and Dreamweaver Cs5 if it makes a difference.
Thanks!Chrome has its own PDF viewer plugin that is quite buggy when it comes to PDF forms (as do Firefox and Safari, by the way).
So yes, the best solution is to download the file and then open it locally using Adobe Reader. However, you can't enforce that. It's up to the user and their browser settings. You can only recommend it to them. -
I just started a free trial of the Adobe XI product that allows me to create an editable PDF. I'm done creating the form and ready to export it. When I click Export PDF from the File menu, it says Adobe encountered an unexpected error. What am I doing wrong?
Good to know — there is no such application as "Adobe XI".
"Adobe" is the name of the company.
"XI" is indicative of the use of either Acrobat XI or Reader XI.
Neither Acrobat XI Pro (for which Adobe provides a free, fully functional 30-day trial) nor Adobe Reader XI (the free to download and use PDF viewer that Adobe provides) have an "Export PDF" entry under "File".
"Export PDF" only is present in Adobe Reader XI over on the right on the "Tools" panel.
The "Tools" panel provides a way for a user of Adobe Reader XI to connect to various By Subscription online services (gotta pay eh).
Export PDF is one of these. A subscription lets you send a PDF file to the online internet service (aka "cloud" service). The service then exports to a supported file format (Word / Excel / ...) and the user selects / directs where the output file is to be saved on the user's local machine.
Of course to use any of the online subscription services one must have an active (paid up in full) subscription to the service.
So ---- As described the puzzle pieces don't fit eh.
What specific Adobe (the company) applications are you using?
Acrobat XI Pro? Adobe Reader XI? Both?
Be well.... -
Can I hide the Adobe Reader panel with "Export, Create and Edit PDF and Send and Store Files"? I don't use it and it takes up space
If you just mean, can I close it, sure. In Reader XI click the Tools button to close or reopen it.

want to create fillable PDF that can be used by many people running on both MAC and PC. What Adobe product should I use?
Hans-Gunter
Thanks so much. I downloaded Acrobat XI. It's been "extracting" for the past 30 minutes (even with a fast wi-fi). Hope this is not a problem.

Hi,
the subject says it all. I have downloaded the trail version to see if its possible to create a editable pdf with validation(required field) using Adobe Acrobat pro version?
Basically, I will have to create a pdf form where users fill it and send it back to me. there will be required fields (the textbox and check box) that user need to fill before saving the editable pdf?
Is it possible. if so, can someone kind enough to point to me right directions?
Thanks in advance. Thanks for reply. What I am trying to achieve is to give an option for the user to download the pdf form and once the user tries to save the pdf, it validates with the required field. I managed to create the editable pdf with required fields option. I just need that validation to be done when user click on save file. How can I achieve this? thanks so much for your help.

How do I edit PDF that is too big
need to edit pdf that is to big
Hi Amanda,
If you're trying to reduce the file size of a PDF file, you'll need Adobe Acrobat. With either Acrobat Standard or Pro, you can choose File > Save as Other > Reduced Size PDF. With Acrobat Pro, you have the option of using PDF Optmizer, which offers many settings for helping to reduce the size of a PDF file.
For more information, or to start a free trial, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

I want to know how to create a new script that can be run in batch proces in Photoshop Element 11 ?
Have a look at the menu file/process multiple files. You can choose to add your signature (or the caption) to the image and export the new files.
If that solution is not flexible enough, consider using the very affordable (12$) Elements+ add-on which offers a 'meta stamp' script :

Otherwise, have a look at other free and good solutions like Faststone Photoresizer, Xnview... -
Is it possible to create a standard form that can be emailed to anyone and once filled out by the receiver, have a button that the receiver clicks and the form is encrypted and attached to an email back to the sender and a preset admin password would open it?
Hello Graphicsguy123,
You would need to first create the form ( or Widget in EchoSign) first to generate a url which you can paste it in the email being sent to customers. You would need to make sure you have a Document Cloud Enterprise Premium account in order to create a Widget. If you don't have the account, you can use the trial version to test it. Here is the link:

I have a large PDF that I cannot send via email because of its size, 76 MB. How do I shrink this file or convert it to another format so I can email this, less than 20MB? Thanks for your help
Open the file in Preview and select "Save as..." from the File menu. Select "Reduce File Size" from the Quartz Filter menu and save. The size probably won't be reduced enough, though. You may have to split the file into several parts and mail them separately. Or upload it to a web server and send the link.

How do I create a single PDF Portfolio from an Outlook 2011 email with multiple non-pdf attachments?
Email has 3 attachments--some are not pdf. I'd like all three converted into pdf files along with the email itself, and all appear in the email's pdf portfolio.I would also like an answer to this question.
I am trying to convert an Outlook email to a PDF, then all attachment are appended to the PDF as pages instead of attachments.
