Default style for input

I need a way to change the default style of a textfield. For
example, if the textfield is required, I want the set the
background color to yellow (FFFFCC) so that when the page
containing that textfield loads the background color will already
be yellow. Here is some sudo code that I thought would work but can
get the spry css to over-ride:
Default style:
.textfieldDefaultState input, input.textfieldDefaultState {
background-color: #FFFFCC;
Textfield:
<span id="sprytextfield1">
<input type="text" name="text1" id="text1"
class="textfieldDefaultState"/>
<span class="textfieldRequiredMsg">A value is
required.</span>
</span>
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
var sprytextfield1 = new
Spry.Widget.ValidationTextField("sprytextfield1", 'none',
{validateOn:['change']});
//-->
</script>

Thanks for the response, but my problem is that I want the
Spry CSS to override the default/initial CSS. In fact, I want the
initial background color to be a designated color for my required
field(s), for example yellow (which is currently the color used in
conjunction with the onfocus event), when the page loads or is
refreshed in addition to when the field is in focus. Currently the
textfield samples have no default/initial CSS. When the required
field is validated then the field should change. Currently the
textfield samples use CSS to display the background color as red
when the validation returns false and green when true.
Thanks

    How does one define a default style for a custom Flex component?
    hello
    I created a new set of Flex component library slib.swc (Flex 4.5). Would also like to have a default style. defaults.css file, making it the default style of the component library.
    Like flex the builder install directory of sdks \ 4.5.0 \ frameworks out \ libs directory has a spark.swc file, open with Winrar will see defaults.css this file. Defaults.css file defines the default style of the flex spark components.
    How can it be achieved?
    As follows
    slib.swc contains a CLabelEx components, and a defaults.css file
    defaults.css source file as follows:
    @ namespace s "library :/ / ns.adobe.com / flex / spark";
    @ namespace mx "library :/ / ns.adobe.com / flex / mx";
    @ namespace cn "http://os.slib.cn";
    cn | CLabelEx
            styBackgroundAlpha: 1;
            styBackgroundColor: # 569CC0;
            styBorderAlpha: 1;
            styBorderColor: # 569CC0;
            styBorderWeight: 1;
            styCornerRadius: 3;
    In slib.swc the application MyLabel.mxml of the source file as follows:
    <? xml version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8"?>
    <s: Application, the xmlns: fx = "http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009
                               xmlns: s = "library :/ / ns.adobe.com / flex / spark"
                               xmlns: mx = "library :/ / ns.adobe.com / flex / mx"
                               xmlns: cn = "http://os.slib.cn
                               the minWidth = "955" The minHeight = "600">
            <fxeclarations>
            </ fxeclarations>
            <cn:CLabelEx x="67" y="112"/>
    </ s: Application>
    I hope CLabelEx default use cn | CLabelEx, style to display its appearance.
    I refer to above approach, but failed to achieve. Can you please re-Detailed
    Thanks!

    dj is right. Any Folder can be a picture folder.
    Create a root level folder and add it to your Pictures Library in Windows.  It will show up with all the scattered pictures from other programs. It can even be a different dirve if you like.  You  can even specify one to be the default save location for pictures in this dialog.
    Navigate to Pictures in your Libraries in Windows Explorer Right Click and select Properties.

  • Default Style for

    I've used a seperate style sheet to create different styles for my header text and my body text on the content server side, for records that open up. I now have noticed that the lists don't have a class assigned to them. I need a way to assign them a style I have set up on a style sheet. Does anyone know how to get the ul and ol class tags to take a style from a style sheet that you create. If anything is there a way to set up a default style for all tags that don't have a class assigned to them?

  • How to set default values for inputs?

    I have several inputs which are always initialized with 0 when I start the VI. I'd like save own default values for them. I've already tried just setting the numbers and saving the VI but it did not work.

            If you want to make any data in any controls, Arrays you can right click on it select >Data operations>Make current values default or you can select EDIT in tool bar, click on Make current values Default.
    First, enter the data you want in the control or array and then follow the things Geeta said.

  • BI7 default styles for queries

    Dear all,
    I am quite familiar to the use of styles in Excel. I need to change somes default styles BEx uses in BI7 (for example, the "highlighted" style). ¿Is there a way to do this or to substitute SAP styles by customer-defined ones? I mean, without using workbooks.
    If this is not possible, ¿which would the best way to achieve this using workbooks?
    Thanks in advance and regards,
    Julio.

    In Bex analyzer, you have option to convert a template into a default template.
    Or you can create a copy of the existing template without AP infoproviders and assign it as default template.

  • How to create a default Style for several Content Areas

    Hello,
    I have not been able to figure out how to create default styles/nav bars/etc... that can be used between SEVERAL Content Areas, and/or for any new Content Area. It seems to me that what is created in one Content Area, is not available for use in any other Content Area.
    Being that I'd like to keep the Administrative overhead as low as possible, I wonder if anyone has and/or knows how to create a default style, etc.. and use it with each Content Area across an Enterprise site???
    Many thanks for any information you may have!!

    Kahli,
    check out the Shared Objects node in the Content Area navigator.

  • Default style (for navigation bars) is lost!

    I've a problem that has been discussied a couple of times but I have never seen a solution. We have made a page with portlets and styles. Our navigationbar-portlet has a blue background but the other porlets have a white background. With te creation of the navigator bar, I have left the "use page style" box unchecked but is still doesn't work. The navigationbar style is overridden by the style for the users. So every portlet gets the same white color. Who can help me with this problem??

  • How to Control default Styles(Font,BGColor,Size) for WPC Objects.

    Hi All,
    This is Ganesh, Current i am working on Content Migration Using WPC.Now My Question, while we are creating the Site Content using WPC(Like Articles, Paragraph's, etc...), while we are typing the content for Article, its showing in one font, after creation of article,while we are previewing of the Article , its showing in Blue Color Letter's and Shade Blue back ground and also Coming font big in size.
    If i am creating the paragraph, while we are previewing the its Displaying in Black Color.
    From where the details of font, size and back ground colors are coming in WPC objects.and if they have to modified, how can it be done?
    Where We can Control the Default Styles for WPC Content Creation Objects.If Possible how to modify?
    Please provide some valuble inputs for my Query???
    Thanks in Advance
    Krishna Ganesh

    Ganesh,
    You are absolutely right. If you modify the xml, xsl and css files supplied by the standard SAP it will affect all the users. Please note that whenever you need to modify the css, you need to do the same in /etc/wpceditor/css/runtime folder. Modification of the css in /etc/wpceditor/css/designtime folder is not of any use.
    If you do not want the changes made to the style to affect all other users, it is always wiser and recommended to create your own custom webform. Some webforms like Article, Link List, banner, teaser etc are provided by SAP. If you want to create your own webform and apply the style to that webform alone then you need to follow the process of creating custom webforms in WPC.
    In order to change the style you need to understand a bit of XML and XSL transformation.
    You can refer to the following sdn help for the same - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/599b78b0aa3bdde10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
    Hope it helps. Let me know if you need any further clarification.

  • My new windows 7 machine and firefox color defaults for input boxes are obscurring the input box on the google search page making google unusable

    Under Windows 7 Firefox looks quite different including the default blue for input to question boxes which are white on the xp machines. Normally this is not a problem. But on the Google web page the blue is so bold that nothing can be seen except for a very small portion of the characters (in red) extending below the input screen. This becomes miserable if you try to edit a search stmt or backspace to correct a spelling error. you are quickly lost and need to clear the cache and reload the page.
    This problem does not appear using Chrome or IE on the same machine. Nor is it a problem using Firefox 9.0.1 on two other home PC's running XP (there no input box obscures the answer). This seems to be a lot of work.

    That can be caused by the "Keystroke protection" in Comcast Constant Guard.<br />
    "Configure Anti-Keylogging Settings" -> disable

  • Correct way of setting styles for custom components

    Hey everyone,
                            I have a custom component which extends UIComponent and holds a image and a button. If I want to set the default style for my button where do I set it in the createChildren, stylesInitialized ,  updateDisplayList  or styleChanged ? I know styleChanged gets called first but the param is always null
    styleChanged = null
    stylesInitialized
    initialize
    createChildren
    initializationComplete
    commitProperties
    measure
    updateDisplayList
    Cheers,
    Firdosh

    Thanks for your recommendations. I have seen a lot of components (yahoo-astra e.g) call a static function or use Mixin (asfusion Rating Component)
    public class CustomComponent extends UIComponent {
              public static function initializeStyles():void
                   var styleDeclaration:CSSStyleDeclaration = StyleManager.getStyleDeclaration("BaseMultiFieldInput");
                   if(!styleDeclaration)
                        styleDeclaration = new CSSStyleDeclaration();
                   styleDeclaration.defaultFactory = function():void
                        this.backgroundColor = 0xffffff;
                        this.backgroundDisabledColor = 0xdddddd;
                        this.textAlign = TextFormatAlign.CENTER;
                        //other styles are based on the framework defaults
                   StyleManager.setStyleDeclaration("BaseMultiFieldInput", styleDeclaration, false);
              initializeStyles();
    is there a reasons why they are set in a static call?

  • Not allows to assign default value to input field using values in datastore

    Hi Masters,
    Consider that I have one input field in a form. I should assign default value to it. I should assign to it, the value which i have stored in a datastore. When i run the application, if i give default value as 123 ,then it is working fine i.e., it is showing 123 in the textfield in form , but if i give the default value as STORE@ProductId, then it is not displaying that value in the form.
    Please help me out.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kaushik Sreeram

    Hi,
    i faced this problem and here's what i concluded:
    There's no way you can set default value for input field dynamicly, since the default value of input control is caculated only once (i think on initializing of the iView). The input control and the data store are initialized at the same time, STORE@productID is empty that time...
    If you don't need to recieve value through the input field you're trying to initialize, but just to display the value from the store - I suggest you try using another control - Expression Box. It's value is calculated continiously, just like the Label's, and you can refere to it later.

    Yulia

  • ChildWindow control default style and template - VS2013 Silverlight5

     Is there a updated version of ChildWindow control default style for VS2013 SIlverlight5. I am customizing the style to remove borders and the default style

  • How to set default email address for input

    G'day all
    Summary: I'm sick, it's difficult to type, and a combination of autocorrect, default Shift key settings for input fields and my iPad completely ignoring my default email account is making it laborious to input my email address. Help!
    (Edit: I had a micro-brainwave and checked my "Me" card in Contacts, since I have Safari set to autofill from that card. My default email address is not listed first in the card. I've now put it on top, Gmail second and "me.com" last. I'll comment later on if I see this help with point 3 below.)
    Details:
    I love my shiny new iPad2. I really do. But autocorrect is driving me crrrrrazy when I try to input my email address.
    Typing in general is an issue for me, because I am disabled and have difficulties with coordination and movement. On my laptop (MacBook Pro mid 2009), I used TextExpander. It lets you set an abbreviation for any text, so you can just type that abbreviation instead of the whole thing, and TextExpander automagically inputs the whole thing for you.
    I have a long email address, because my ISP has quite a long domain name. So only typing 4 characters (my abbreviation) instead of the whole 23 characters was a big help for me.
    Enter the iPad.
    I need to use the iPad now, because my laptop is now too heavy for my legs (and I do occasionally need a full-on laptop, so the MacBook Air isn't the solution). The iPad in general has been great for me. The simplification of the interface (while annoying at times, e.g. not being able to view full headers in an email) saves brain cycles, so I can read for longer.
    However, where on my laptop I only needed to input 4 chars for my email address, on my iPad I have to input the whole 23 chars. How many places online are you asked to input your email address? Way too many. Safari may eventually catch up and record some of them, but currrently, I'm using too much of my day's energy just on trying to input my email address. (Note: this post is written on my laptop, so I can use my abbreviations.)
    TextExpander is available for iOS, but due to Apple's current refusal to allow integration with its apps, TextExpander isn't allowed to input stuff directly. Just like with the indispensable password program 1Password, you have to switch from Safari to the other app., search for and select and copy the text you want, then switch back to Safari, select the field and press Paste.
    Grrr.
    I may get desperate enough to go through those steps each time, if things don't improve with my email address. My problems are:
    1. Very few email-address fields in webpages currently have the appropriate settings to instruct the iPad keyboard not to start with the Shift key down. This means every time you try to input your email address, it will start with an upper-case letter.
    Half the time I don't notice until I've got part-way through typing my address, so I have to delete all those chars and start again. About a quarter of the time, after deleting, I don't notice that the Shift key has been activated again, so I go through the whole process again.
    2. Even when the email-address field turns off the Shift key, or when I remember to do it myself before entering text, autocorrect will insist on changing the first letter back to upper-case, because my username is also my first name. Cue more deleting and getting confused.
    3. This is the big one: once my username is up there, autocorrect insists on entering my "me.com" email address. This is the email address I use least. When I laboriously (again) delete this text and start again, it will either insist again on "me.com", or input my Gmail address. That is the email address I use second least. Autocorrect never inputs my main email address, set as my default account in the Mail-Con-Cal Settings. (This is a POP-only account.)
    4. Even if I do manage to input my whole email address correctly, autocorrect will insist on capitalizing the first letter of the domain name (which is also a location). Cue yet more deletion and retyping.
    Are there any ways to avoid wasting so much energy on trying to input my email address?
    Is there any way to set the default input email address? Or to tell the iPad/Safari that an email address field doesn't require the Shift key?
    I've had my iPad for nearly three months now, using it for my day-to-day activities, and I've been hoping this problem would gradually go away, that the software would finally catch on to my main email address (from the default account) which I have input over and over (and OVER) into email-address fields.
    Evidently not.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    As Roosevelt suggested, you can turn off Auto Correction in the keyboard settings. Go to Settings>General>Keyboard>Auto Correction>Off.
    This will also turn off spell check (unfortunately) and there is no fix for that. Auto Caps can also be turned off as well and so can the keyboard shortcut for the space/period. Frankly, all of these features drive me nuts and I wish the iOS allowed for more control, but it does not.
    As fars as typing your email address, be aware that even if you type your email address in all caps it still works. So if Autofill insists on capitalizing the first letter in your name in the email address - and it will insist on doing so - you can just let it go as is and it will still work. Doesn't really get to the heart of the matter but it would save you the laborious deleting and retyping.
    Having said that, when the Auto Correction suggests a word or wants to set a capital latter, you can tap the "x" in the pop up suggestion to ignore that word, cap, whatever. The dictionary is then supposed to "learn" your word if you refuse that suggested word enough times. This is another feature that seems to have a mind of it's own at times since sometimes it may take more than a few attempts to get the Auto Correct to not come up and instead allow your chosen word to be freely typed as desired.
    Lastly, with regard to your correct email address popping up, that is another case of if repeated time and time again, It should be another case of the iOS "learning" through repetition that your default email should popup when you begin entering the address.
    You could try to rectify all of this by resetting all of your settings and clearing Autofill but you would be starting all over again which is something I think you would rather avoid.
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Keyboard Dictionary
    Settings>Safari>Autofill -tap names and passwords>Clear all
    As Roosevelt suggested, submit feedback, and I hope you find some resolution to this.
    Quick Note - I originally typed this post on my iPad and when I read a few of the words that were substituted by auto correct - I quickly turned to my iMac to change the words. I do feel your pain with regard to auto Correct!

    George - Thanks you so much!  Actually, i'd love for the text color to be red font color.  Could you send me the script for that? And I assume I just copy and paste the script into the field properties (see screenshot)?
    thanks again!
