Dependency List for ESS SP11 using Maintanance optimizer ?

I need to somehow get a dependency list for ESS sp11 patch. I was told that this can be done on the Solman 4 system using Maintanance optimizer. I can see how to impliment the service pack but not how to generate a list of dependencies that I can present to the customer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi VASQUEZ,
You can see the dependencies ESS in the service market place only,you can see the import conditions for that particular package.Solman's maintanence optimizer is used to approve the download of that stack.Here you can not see the dependencies using solman.I think if you want to install patches for java they are cumilative,you can directly go from your current patch level to the recent one present in the market place.
Reward points if helpfull.

Vamshi.

  • Stack File for JSPM when using Maintenance Optimizer

    Hello,
    As you know JSPM looks for a stack file when applying a support pack stack.  When using maintanance optimizer I see no way to get a stack file.  I end up having to do the work twice:  once to get the files in maintenance optimizer, and again I have to go to marketplace swdc to choose the files and create the list of downloads again only to save a stack file.
    Am I missing something?  Is this double work really necessary?

    Hello John,
    It seems that you are doing double work.
    If you use the download type as "SLM" then you have a chance to transfer the XML to SLM. Else if you choose the download type as "Download Manager" then the XML should be created in the EPS/in folder of the Solution Manager system.
    You also need to check whether you have applied all the applicable notes for the Solution Manager stack from the note 1122966 and that the BC sets for MOPZ are activated correctly.
    Finally check the permissions on the EPS/in folder of Solution Manager to check whether there is a issue with authorizations.
    A SLG1 log ( filtered by the username who creates the MOPZ transaction and time at which the transaction was created ) will reveal the errors in the process.
    Regards
    Amit

  • Binding for table produces list for other tables using foreign key and crea

    Using
    software Jdev 11G, WLS 11G, Oracle DB 11G, Windows Vista platform
    technology EJB 3.0, jspx, backing beans, session bean
    I cannot create a namedquery on my secondary table. The method for the column uses the entity object rather than the name and value of the column.
    For instance,
    (Coketruck) table has inventory records(Products) table
    Coketruck has one to many to the Products table
    Products has a many to one to the Coketruck
    I need to return the products from the product table based on the CokeTruck but I cannot create a namedQuery because the method in the Product table is an entity object type instead of a long that I can use to look up all the products based off the column truck_id.
    This is what I was expecting…
    Private Long truckId;
    public Long getTruckId() {
    return truckId;
    public void setTruckId (Long truckId) {
    this. truckId = truckId;
    Instead this is what I have…
    @ManyToOne
    @JoinColumn(name = "TRUCK_ID")
    private Coketruck coketruck;
    this. coketruck = coketruck
    public Coketruck getCoketruck() {
    return coketruck;
    public void set Coketruck (Coketruck coketruck) {
    this. coketruck = coketruck;
    How do I do a query on the Product table to return all the products that are in the coketruck?
    If I do the following it expects for me to pass the Entity Object which I cannot use as search criteria for my find method.
    @NamedQuery(name = "Products.findById", query = "select o from Products o where o.truckId = :truckId")
    On a different note but the same song…
    I noticed that when I look at my Session Bean Data Contols that the coketruck already has a list of the products. I have created a jsp page with a backing bean and have been able to use the namedquery on the coketruck entity to retrieve the productList. Unfortunately I need to sort the products by type and was also not able to find where to perform the work to be able to iterate through the productList to get my desired display. Therefore I started looking at doing another namedquery that would only retrieve the product_type ordering by the truckId.
    Seems I have come full circle… I don’t care what method I have to use to get the info back.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi!
    I work on an application wich uses a shopping cart stored in a database. The shopping cart uses two tables:
    CART: Holds information common for one shopping cart: the user it is connected to etc.
    - Primary key: CART_ID
    CART_ROW: One row in the cart, e.g. one new product to buy.
    - Primary key: ROW_ID
    - Foreign key: CART_ROW.CART_ID references CART.CART_ID
    From the code the rows in the cart are collected per cart, as is modelled by the foreign key. There exists one more relationship, which we use in the code, but which is not modelled by a foreign key in the database. One row can be dependent on another row, which makes the other row a parent.
    CART_ROW has a column PARENT_ID which references CART_ROW.ROW_ID.
    Should we add a foreign key for PARENT_ID? Or are there any questions to consider when it is a foreign key to the same table?
    I suggest to add foreign key it wont harm the performance (except while on insert when there would be validation for the foreign key). But it would prevent users to insert wrong/corrupt data either through code or directly by loggin in the database.
    A while ago we added indexes, both on ROW_ID and on PARENT_ID. Could the index on PARENT_ID have been harmful, since there is no foreign key?
    Index on parent_id would only be harmful if you do not make use of index after creating it (i.e. there is no query which make use of this index).
    And if you decide to have a foreign key on parent_id then I suggest to have index too on parent_id as it would be helpful atleast when you delete any record in this table.
    Best regards!

  • How to get permission of a sharepoint list for a user using REST api

    Hi there,
    I have a requirement where i need to check the access permission of a user against a List or Library only using REST api from my remote salesforce app. [I already have access token and I am able to view list, add item etc..]
    Say for example, I have to send the list name and user name, and get the result as Read, Write, Contribute(Manage), None. I need to display what permission does that user have for that List.
    How do I achieve this. Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    For High and low bits, we can create a new SP.BasePermissions object to use like below:
    function success(data){
    var permissions = new SP.BasePermissions();
    permissions.set(SP.PermissionKind.manageLists);
    var hasPermission = permissions.hasPermissions(data.d.EffectiveBasePermissions.High, data.d.EffectiveBasePermissions.Low);
    Here is a detailed article for your reference:

  • PD Profile for ESS when using contextual authorizations

    Hi all,
    We are using contextual authorizations, we have MSS working nicely, and now we are implementing ESS. Does anyone know what the PD profile would look like for the basic generic ESS implementation?  The pre-delivered roles have P_ORGIN objects (disabled) so if we change to P_ORGINCON we need a PD profile to populate all the fields.  There does not seem to be any pre-delivered PD profile.
    Thanks

    Hi Teresa,
    You are either using structural authorizations or not.
    Depending on this decision you have to activate parameters in table T77S0.
    When Yes
    AUTSW     DFCON     0     HR: Default Position (Context)
    AUTSW     INCON     1     HR: Master Data (Context)
    AUTSW     NNCON     0     HR:Customer-Specific Authorization Check (Context)
    AUTSW     NNNNN     0     HR: Customer-Specific Authorization Check
    AUTSW     ORGIN     0     HR: Master Data
    AUTSW     ORGPD     1     HR: Structural Authorization Check
    AUTSW     ORGXX     0     HR: Master Data - Extended Check
    AUTSW     PERNR     1     HR: Master Data - Personnel Number Check
    When No
    AUTSW     DFCON     0     HR: Default Position (Context)
    AUTSW     INCON     0     HR: Master Data (Context)
    AUTSW     NNCON     0     HR:Customer-Specific Authorization Check (Context)
    AUTSW     NNNNN     0     HR: Customer-Specific Authorization Check
    AUTSW     ORGIN     1     HR: Master Data
    AUTSW     ORGPD     0     HR: Structural Authorization Check
    AUTSW     ORGXX     0     HR: Master Data - Extended Check
    AUTSW     PERNR     1     HR: Master Data - Personnel Number Check
    If you want to use extended check (check against PA administrator, Time administrator) then you have to mark
    AUTSW     ORGXX     1     HR: Master Data - Extended Check

  • Standard Workflow List for ESS

    Can someone please give me a list of the standard workflows in ESS.
    Thanks

    @Barin Desai
       No offense taken...no need to say sorry. I have never had to implement training and events, so no first hand experience there. As for the time and/or leave related ones though, I have never seen them used "out-of-the-box". Again, that's just my experience with probably 7-8 ESS projects since around 2000 or so. Lastly, many clients I have had either (a) don't like workflow, so remove it (b) don't have knowledge in workflow or resources for it, so they drop it out. But even in reading (SAP books, posts on the internet, presentations, etc), I have always seem them referred to as "skeleton" workflows to be further fleshed out. Interesting that your experience is much different.

  • Universal Work List for ESS

    Hi Experts,
    I cannot see UWL for Employee Self-Service role where as under Manager Self-Service I can see it. Do we have to add the page manually or it will be done from backend.
    ESS/MSS Version is 1.41.
    Please throw some light on this.
    Thanks,
    Murthy

    Hi
    I am trying to configure Universal Worklist Systems at System Administration --> System Configuration --> Universal Worklist & Workflow --> Universal Worklist - Administration. When I click on the Register button to register Action it is throwing the following error.

    System configuration as follows:
    Entered the System Alias, Connector Type is "WebFlow Connector", and User Roles is "Everyone".
    I am using the same system to call transaction iViews also. Any parameters need to be added related to User in system object. At present System have User mapping type is admin,user other than this there is on no information set regarding User. Please throw some light on this issue.

  • Restricting the values in Drop Down list for ESS application

    Hello Experts,
    We are trying to restrict the values in the drop down list box for payment method field for direct deposit iview.
    Here Payment is the Zlsch field.
    here we are trying to have only 3 vlaues in the drop down. Do I have to do it from java code or can this be restricted on the ECC side?
    Plese let me know.
    Thanks,
    James.

    James,
    What you have to do is create a DropDown ByIndex element instead of by Key and create a context node PaymentMethodNode and a value attribute PaymentAttribute under it ....then write the following code in the wdDoInit() method as :
    //Add whatever values you want in the DropDown
    String[] priority_options= new String[]{"Payroll/Corp/Partner Check","Employee Payroll ACH(PPD)"};
              List ListOfPriorities = new ArrayList();
              for(int i=0;i<priority_options.length;i++)
                   IPrivateDetailView.IPayment_MethodNodeElement pr= wdContext.createPayment_MethodNodeElement();
                   pr.setPaymentAttribute(priority_options<i>);
                   ListOfPriorities.add(pr);
              wdContext.nodePayment_MethodNode().bind(ListOfPriorities);
              for(int e=0;e<wdContext.nodePayment_MethodNode().size();++e)
                   wdContext.nodePayment_MethodNode().setSelected(e,e>=0 && e<=1);
    and then write the following code in wdDoModifyView() method:
    IWDDropDownByIndex di =(IWDDropDownByIndex)view.getElement("DropDownByIndex");
             di.bindTexts("Payment_MethodNode.PaymentAttribute");
    then create an Action and bind it to the onselect property of the DropDown and write the following code in the onAction method :
    if(wdContext.currentPayment_MethodNodeElement().getPaymentAttribute().equalsIgnoreCase("Payroll/Corp/Partner Check"))
        wdContext.currentSelectedInfotypeElement().setZlsch("C");
        else
         wdContext.currentSelectedInfotypeElement().setZlsch("P");
    I am sure it will work..

  • Source List for Standard and Subcontracting Info Record

    Dear Sir and Madam,
    We have scenario where nart A could purchase with Standard PO or Subcontract PO.
    We  have following 2 Standard Info Record and 2 Subcontract Info Record.
    Standard InfoRec 1 for Nart A to Vendor 001 --Fixed Vendor
    Standard InfoRec 2 for Nart A to Vendor 002
    Subcontract InfoRec 1 for nart A to Vendor 003 - Fixed Vendor
    Subcontract InfoRec 2 for nart A to Vendor 004
    We have the problem here, how can we set the fixed vendor in Source List, for Standard PO using vendor 001 and Subcon using Vendor 003?
    Thank you very much,
    Regards,
    CW

    In source list only one vendor can be assigned.
    If u want to assign 2 or more vendor, try using Quota Arragement.

  • Illegal dependency access list does not allow use of caf/eu/gp/api

    I am using NWDS 2004s and working with GP implementation.
    I am also able to see the development components as caf/eu/gp/api and sap.com/caf/gp/api/wd after copying the required files.
    But while selecting caf/eu/gp/api i am getting following exception
    Illegal dependency access list does not allow use of caf/eu/gp/api
    Please suggest if you have any idea regarding this.
    Regards
    Satya

    Hi Satyabrata,
    Are you using NWDI for development, or local development?
    I had the same problem when using local development components. I read somewhere in the documentation that for this you have to use the NWDI.
    Now I am using NWDI and this is working correctly.

  • ALE: how do I use dependent distribution for customer and vendor addresses?

    Hello SDN'ers
    Hopefully someone can help me with an ALE question.
    We have two ERP systems connected with ERP - Retail and AFS.
    Customers and Vendors may be created in Retail, and are distributed to AFS using DEBMAS, CREMAS and ADRMAS messages.
    Not all customers and vendors are required in AFS, so we have various filters set up in the Retail distribution model (BD64).
    However with the filters in place, addresses were still being distributed for customers and vendors that had been filtered out.
    To try and avoid this for vendors, we created a filter group for AddressOrg.SaveReplica in receiver determination. In the filter group we selected Dependent Distribution for CREMAS (Address owner object).
    This works perfectly for vendors - vendor addresses are now only distributed if the vendor itself is distributed.
    However I've now discovered it is preventing any customer addresses from being sent! I was surprised about this: I expected CREMAS dependency to only affect vendor addresses. Can someone tell me:
    - is this how dependent distribution is designed to work? In which case can anyone offer any suffestions to achieve the filtering some other way?
    - or are we doing something wrong to be getting this result?
    Thanks for any help!
    regards, Roger

    Hi all,
    as Robert suggested, I've written an exit to get round this, although I'm surprised I should need to!
    What I did was to code an enhancement in function group BDBF, at the start of subroutine COMPUTE_LOGIC_EXPRESSION.
    * In the case of addresses, dependencies should only be applied for the appropriate type of address
      data: lwa_tbd14 type tbd14.
      if P_MODEL_DATA-FTYPE = C_FTYPE_DEPENDENCY_FROM_MESTYP.
    *   Dependency from Message Type.
    *   Read the Address Object type
        READ TABLE P_FILTER_VALUES
                         WITH KEY OBJTYPE  = 'AD_OBJTYPE'
                         BINARY SEARCH.
        if sy-subrc = 0.
    *     Check if the Message Type is linked to the Address Owner Object Type
    *     (Table is buffered on DB)
          select single *
            from TBD14
            into lwa_tbd14
           where MESTYP = P_MODEL_DATA-FMESTYP
             and OBJTYP = P_FILTER_VALUES-OBJVALUE.
          if sy-subrc <> 0.
    *       Wrong type of address for this dependency - stop here
            P_REPLICATE = c_true.
            exit.
          else.
    *       Correct address type. Standard processing continues, checking any
    *       filter values set up against the Address Owner Object Type.
          endif.
        else.
    *     It isn't an address - continue with standard processing
        endif.
      endif.
    Let me know if this helps you, or if you know of a better way to achieve the same result.
    Roger

  • When replying to an add on Craig's List, for example, it goes back to my old email address I had with IE, and fails to connect with the ad's author and I'd like to know how to make it use my gmail address with Firefox instead.

    When replying to an ad, via email, posted on Craig's List , for example, it attempts to use my old email address I had with IE, then fails to connect with the ad's author. How do I get it to only use my gmail address with Firefox?

  • Message Mapping in HRAS - can it be used for ESS ?

    We came across this functionality for EHP2 (after activating business function HCM_ASR_CI_1)
    called "message mapping" while implementing HCM processes and forms framework. It is available under HR Administrative services -->Tools in the IMG provided the business function is activated.
    As per IMG documentation for this Message Mapping node --> "The tool for mapping messages can also be used in Employee Self-Services and applications of the Enterprise Service-Oriented Architecture"
    Just wanted to check if anyone tried exploring this by mapping messages for ESS services outside of HCM Processes and forms framework? or Is this tool limited only for HCM P&F.

    I've seen the same thing. I suspect it "will" be possible but not fully implemented just yet. You could probably do a search on the mapping table and see if it is actully used in the newer ESS code at all. It looks like they have this in place as ESS transitions over more fully to Webdynpro ABAP and making use of the decoupled infotype framework.
