Im trying to burn music to my CD but i have a message appearing saying "disc error or softrware not found" can anyone help me?. Ive had a look at the computer settings about the disc drive but everything seems to be up todate with all the latest softwares.

If you run into the "another installation" message even after the reboot of the PC (which is an excellent idea by HTP ProXy), reregistering your Windows Installer Service is worth a try.
First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Restart the PC and try another reinstalll. -

Have you done the obvious things to try to fix it: quit Quicktime then start it back up again, log out then back in, reboot.
Edit: Just read one of your later posts. If VLC won't play it, this is unrelated to Quicktime and Flip4Mac. Are you sure these wmv files are okay? -

If you tap on your account id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores you should be able to view your account info (after you've typed in your password) and you should get a payment details option. Or you can do it via the Store > View My Apple ID drop-down menu option on your computer's iTunes

I have successfully used Itunes to rent movies on this computer several times in the past. This time however after paying for the rental movies and being prompted to play it I recived the following error message.
We could not complete your Itunes store request. An unknown error occured (-42110) There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later.
I have updated the itunes stoftware and attempted multiple times over the past 2 days but to no avail. Tech support gave me a link to an article with error messages but the one I have was not covered by their article.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue for me?

I just installed Arch...
I am logged in as root and I get this error:
# hwd
-bash: hwd: command not found
For future reference, how should I go about finding out what package(s) I need to install in order to be able to use a particular command? (in this case, the hwd command)
Also, is there some configuration I may need to perform in order to make a particular command work (in this case hwd) ??

Probably the wiki article for Xorg should be updated as it refers the user to use hwd. I'll see if I can manage to edit it... I've never edited a wiki before. I'm learning all sorts of new stuff today :-)

MSVCR80.dll was not found" can anyone help me please?
I have clicked on "update" prompt when I turned on itunes and now I cant use it because there is a message on screen saying " This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. does anybody have any ideas that I can try?
Try putting it in recovery mode to restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808. (Restoring it will also put iOS 5.1 on it.) If iTunes still won't recognize it see either http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 (windows) or http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591 (mac).

I have locked my ipad, don't know exactly how, but it was NOT from a wrong passcode. I think I accidentally touched the lock button in the little rollup screen at the bottom of the ipad. The ipad will not syn with the PC, I cannot get past the on button. It will not let me enter my passcode, nothing. Does anyone know how I can fix this please?
